Next Door North Beach

Excited to try the newest taco spot in the hood, but not sure I’d go out of my way to return just yet. We ordered the chips and guac—$7 is a rare find in SF, but unfortunately the guac was pretty disappointing. It didn’t taste like avocado at all and felt more like a processed dip—honestly, it seemed closer to Tostitos avocado salsa than actual guacamole. The chips, on the other hand, were great—fresh and perfectly crispy. Tacos were good, just not quite special enough to beat favorites like El Farolito, especially considering the price. The space feels a bit unfinished, but it’s new, so hopefully it’ll grow into itself.

A great new bar and Mexican food hangout in North Beach. It’s really unique to the neighborhood, as it offers games like skeeball, pac man, pop a shot and a prize grabber that will entertain the kids and the whole family. It’s a great spot to grab a drink special and enjoy the bright, plant filled bar. It’s a great bonus they have huge TVs to watch any sporting event. The California burrito is my now go-to.

Next Door sounds less like a bar and more like a meetup spot for swiping couples ready to exchange house keys—and maybe partners. The stenciled signage (food, drinks, games) and that dangling key tag is great branding.

I popped by this spot after recommendations from a few local regulars I've known for many years. I was looking specifically for a Mexican Food place that had decent burritos, nachos and/or Quesadillas. From the 1st bite it was very obvious the food isn't just decent. It's absolutely "EXCELLENT"! Everything hit the spot on the BullsEye and it's pretty clear these folks know what they're doing. I ordered my food "to go" but the service was super friendly and what I experienced of the atmosphere was Great! You have to stop by and check this place out. You won't be disappointed! This newish spot in North Beach is lovely! The bartenders, Charlotte & Ashley were amazing. Their great energy & music choices brought us in off the street. I will for sure go back!
