New Bay Area Restaurant and Cafe Openings to Know in May 2025 | Eater SF

"A new spot for cocktails, arcade games, and tacos opened next door to Columbus Cafe; the bright pausing point for parents features Pac-Man, Skee-Ball, and other arcade games to distract kids while adults sip a Negroni and nosh on dishes from Street Meet Tacos, which provides the food in-house, per the San Francisco Standard." - Dianne de Guzman

Next Door - Review - North Beach - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"At this North Beach bar, you can play Pac-Man, arcade basketball, and Skee-Ball while digging into a spread of tacos and burritos. Wash it all down with a cocktail or shot-and-beer combo. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Julia Chen

Excited to try the newest taco spot in the hood, but not sure I’d go out of my way to return just yet. We ordered the chips and guac—$7 is a rare find in SF, but unfortunately the guac was pretty disappointing. It didn’t taste like avocado at all and felt more like a processed dip—honestly, it seemed closer to Tostitos avocado salsa than actual guacamole. The chips, on the other hand, were great—fresh and perfectly crispy. Tacos were good, just not quite special enough to beat favorites like El Farolito, especially considering the price. The space feels a bit unfinished, but it’s new, so hopefully it’ll grow into itself.

A complete disappointment. This was, without a doubt, the worst burrito I've had in a long time. It was served cold, overwhelmingly salty, and simply inedible—I had to throw it out after just three bites. The $5 carne asada taco (see photo) tasted exactly like the burrito, sharing the same poor quality and flavor profile. At these prices and with this quality, I can't imagine this restaurant lasting past 2025. The kitchen urgently needs a complete overhaul.

A great new bar and Mexican food hangout in North Beach. It’s really unique to the neighborhood, as it offers games like skeeball, pac man, pop a shot and a prize grabber that will entertain the kids and the whole family. It’s a great spot to grab a drink special and enjoy the bright, plant filled bar. It’s a great bonus they have huge TVs to watch any sporting event. The California burrito is my now go-to.

Super nice bar! High ceilings, a bright and spacious place. We went for an office happy hour, so we were several people in the group, and they had enough space for all of us to hang out without feeling crowded.

Our new go-to neighborhood spot! The space is stunning—filled with lush plants, vintage movie posters, and thoughtful design that’s actually great for folks with sensory sensitivities. They’ve got classic arcade games, a photobooth for fun moments, and they play amazing music. The food is delicious, and the vibes are always on point. Special shoutout to Ashley behind the bar—she’s incredible! Friendly, welcoming, and makes the experience even better. Highly recommend this place for a night out or just to hang with friends.

My friend had her birthday party at this bar and it was so much fun! The Paloma was made with fresh grapefruit juice, and it was truly one of the best cocktails I’ve had in a long time. Fabulous vibes!

I popped by this spot after recommendations from a few local regulars I've known for many years. I was looking specifically for a Mexican Food place that had decent burritos, nachos and/or Quesadillas. From the 1st bite it was very obvious the food isn't just decent. It's absolutely "EXCELLENT"! Everything hit the spot on the BullsEye and it's pretty clear these folks know what they're doing. I ordered my food "to go" but the service was super friendly and what I experienced of the atmosphere was Great! You have to stop by and check this place out. You won't be disappointed! Thanks Van, Ana and everyone else who took time to recommend and introduce me to this new spot!
