Signature double smash burger, fries, tots, milkshakes, cocktails

"While Avalon shoppers are spending $350 on a monogrammed charcuterie board, the latest location to NFA burger is right alongside them, flipping single-patty burgers for just $5.75. Aside from the continued low prices, the Avalon venue does have a number of features the gas station flagship doesn’t. The dining room is massive, and there’s a bar where every sport you care about—and some you don’t—are playing on a loop. Their expanded menu includes boozy cocktails, thick milkshakes, and a crispy-edged patty stuffed between two sweet liege waffles. And they're all great reasons to come here." - nina reeder, juli horsford, jacinta howard, jacinta howard, jacinta howard, jacinta howard, jacinta howard, juli horsford, juli horsford, nina reeder, nina reeder, juli horsford, jacinta howard
"NFA Burger isn't abandoning their Chevron gas station situation, but they are expanding with four additional locations across the metro. First up is this brick-and-mortar at Avalon in Alpharetta. This new spot includes an expanded menu (like sweet Belgium waffles), indoor and outdoor seating, a walk-up window for takeout orders, and a bar. You'll just have to make a second stop for gas now." - juli horsford, jacinta howard
"The Alpharetta location of NFA Burger feels like a big shift from the original, but you’re still here for the same reason—to experience a great smashburger. The Avalon outpost does have a number of features the gas station-based flagship doesn’t. The dining room is massive, and there’s a bar where every sport you care about—and some you don’t—are playing on a loop. Their expanded menu includes boozy cocktails, thick milkshakes, and a sweet and savory liege waffle burger (it's delicious). Even in the upgraded setting, a single patty still runs just $5.75. Pair it with crunchy tater tots and a thick caramel banana milkshake for a satisfying midday stop. Or just come here to refuel after watching other people drop $300 on scented candles at Avalon. photo credit: Sarah Newman photo credit: Sarah Newman photo credit: Sarah Newman photo credit: Sarah Newman Pause Unmute Food Rundown Double - The Classic You get two thin, griddled patties with a well-seasoned crust and that signature lacy halo, tucked into a soft bun. A textbook smashburger—simple, balanced, and done right. Jersey Dog With Turkey Chili With lightly charred and snappy skin, this hot dog tastes like it came fresh off the grill. It's topped with a savory turkey chili that adds more meaty flavor without going too heavy. photo credit: Sarah Newman Y’all Burger A thin patty is stuffed between sweet liege waffles. This sounds like a TikTok dare, but it actually is good. Think of it like having a burger with melted american cheese and a garlicky- paprika-y sauce served with super sweet Hawaiian bread. You can also get the waffles served on their own. Banana Milkshake A thick, custard-based shake with sweet banana flavor and a light caramel drizzle. It’s rich, smooth, and definitely filling. This is more of a dessert than a side. PlayMute video credit: Sarah Newman" - Jacinta Howard

"The chain’s first full-service restaurant brings the classic gas-station burger joint formula into a sit-down setting, serving a double-patty smash burger, Polish sausage roll, tater tots, fries, hot dogs, milkshakes, and cocktails dispensed from an automated system, plus limited beer and wine. The space includes indoor and outdoor seating, a bar with many TVs, and a walk-up window; the opening was prioritized by the owner and even influenced his departure from a separate stadium concession project." - Henna Bakshi

"Opening May 15, this is the first full-service restaurant from a pop-up–turned–gas-station burger concept founded by Billy Kramer. Located at 3180 Avalon Boulevard, the casual spot offers indoor and outdoor seating, a walk-up window, a white-tiled bar with red metal barstools, an automated cocktail dispenser, plenty of TVs for game-day hangs, and a mix of high-top, low-top and long communal tables under Edison-style bulbs; outdoor cornhole boards reinforce a backyard-barbecue, retro vibe. The menu centers on a classic double-patty smash burger and also features a Polish sausage roll, hot dogs, sassy fries and sassy tater tots fried in beef tallow, milkshakes, cocktails from the automated dispenser, limited beer and wine, Belgian waffles and a kids single burger. The owner left a Truist Park location to expedite this opening; the restaurant will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m." - Henna Bakshi
