"Matan Zaken has thrown out the culinary rulebook! After globetrotting as the private chef to top fashion houses, with stints at Frenchie in London, the George V with Christian Le Squer and Saturne with Sven Chartier, the French-Israeli chef now host you in this astonishing vaulted cellar opposite the Palais Royal. In the convivial atmosphere created by having one enormous table laid for 20 guests, he proposes a Scandinavian-style set menu that features creative cuisine drawing on multiple influences (notably Japanese and Middle Eastern) and a variety of culinary techniques (low-temperature cooking, binchotan charcoal, fermentation, brine pickling etc). Think superb line-caught turbot with chanterelles, finished with a potent blackberry-sherry vinegar-Kampot pepper condiment and a fermented rye miso sauce. Very attentive service." - Michelin Inspector

Nhome - Review - Paris - The Infatuation

"There’s only one table and 18 seats at this theatrical, tasting-only restaurant that opened in September 2022 right behind Palais Royale. Chef can be seen slicing and dicing from the sidewalk through the street-facing window, but diners sit far from prying eyes in a cavernous, candlelit stone-walled room towards the back. Despite being sat “separately, but together” around the showpiece table in the center of the room, since arrival times vary, you may be forking your first shakshuka bite (a recipe from the chef’s grandma) while your neighbors are already eating the smoked mackerel marinated in citrus fruits. In addition to the mystery of sitting with strangers, the verbally described market menu is also an enigma. The only constant is that there will be eight courses proportionately plated on unique handmade ceramics that look more like art pieces than vessels for food. While it may sound pretentious, it’s not. You’ll feel like you’re inside a well-designed home (hence the name), and be encouraged to relax or dance, eat with your hands, or sip soup straight from the bowl. Because of the table’s shape, parties of two are ideal, but seating can work for four people, too." - Sara Lieberman

A unique venue with an exceptional setting. I won’t go into details about the theme or the menu, as these are best kept a mystery. We were amazed the moment we entered the space. The food was outstanding, the staff helpful, polite, and discreet, the sommelier incredible, and the chef warm and welcoming. An unforgettable experience.

Lot of room for improvement. Most of the dishes lacked punch. Some just needed a slight sprinkle of sel moldon. Overall the food was okay ignoring the fact that they forgot to serve us a dish and we as clients had to remind them. Basically was served seafood after meat. Even then hommard was served without bread. LOL 😝 You dont skip an entire course in a 1 star michelin that too with just 16 covers! The bread felt stale and was cold. Had to request the server to heat up the bread. Hommard was undercooked, piegon overcooked. My friend and myself were served extremely visible uneven quantities of piegon. My plate had a bigger portion of meat with generous sauce and his was like whatever was left. I understand not all plates can be the same, but if you have a star you better send out same plates ATLEAST for the same table. In the end all they wanted was for us to leave, the dessert course was finished in just 20 mins. Only good thing was the wine pairing and the extremely sincere and comforting sommelier. Money well spent? Eh. I dont know about that. Second visit? Not anytime soon.

We visited the restaurant in Jan 2024. It was a exceptionally great experience. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was spectacular. We loved the idea of dining with everyone in the same big table. The table setting was beautiful; the table was large enough that we do not feel uncomfortable with the other guests. All the dishes on the menu were unique and creative; they tasted amazing. We loved the desserts because they were quite creative. Also, the idea of tea pairing was great because we do not drink alcohol and the teas were nice (I hope they have more tea in the future). We were impressed with the restaurant. The staff invited us to take a picture in the kitchen with the whole team. They also gave us small bags of chocolate to take home. We recommend this restaurant and would definitely come back again.

It would be difficult to adequately express the profound experience we had at Nhome. My wife and I had the distinct pleasure of dining at the restaurant during our visit to Paris. It was, without a doubt, a truly magnificent experience. Given that my wife is pregnant, the staff skillfully adapted all of the dishes, ensuring she could enjoy the meal in the most delightful way possible. We extend our particular gratitude to Udi for providing an exceptional wine pairing throughout our meal, and to Matan and the entire staff for their attentiveness to our specific requirements. This establishment is certainly worth a visit if you have an appreciation for fine dining. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.

An exceptional experience from start to finish, this place is more than just a dinner spot. Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by a member of staff who took me through the atmospheric enclave into the main restaurant. I was then seated at my place on the table. As a shared table, the room is full of character and buzz where you can chose to dine either in your own private bubble or engage with the rest of the patrons around you. I found this to be a nice and refreshing touch. Perhaps most importantly, the food. The chef manages to keep the customer on their toes with an unexpected and heavenly array of flavours. Every plate was masterfully put together with a magnificent combination of ingredients leaving me both intrigued and impressed. Now onto the drink; the sommelier was highly knowledgeable and knew exactly what to bring for each chapter of the meal. The perfect accompaniment for such exquisite food. What stood out most was the chefs passion to create something so precise, unique and artful in every element of the food as well as the staff's seamless teamwork to make everything so enjoyable. A very memorable evening for sure. Well done to the chef, Matan, and all his team for such an outstanding establishment. I look forward to trying their food again soon. A true 10/10 place.

One of the best 1 star in Paris. Food is really good, with lots of thoughts, and the new concept of everyone sitting around the huge round table is quite interesting. Service is superb. They really accommodated us. Very appreciated. Would def come back a few months later when the menu changes.

Amazing dinner experience! The food was creative, with a mix of unique flavors. The concept was also fun and interesting for example, we had a consommé with no spoons given, so you had to find a way to drink from the curvy corners of the bowl! My favorite dish was the lobster, it was well-cooked and the sauce, along with the garnishes went well together. The salad was also a surprise, it was so flavorful and delicious! Also even though we all dined on the same table, we still had our privacy and the setting of the room was warm and cozy. Each chef came to introduce the plates, which made the service friendly and intimate. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Paris and looking for a unique culinary experience.
