Nong Rim Klong

"This former canal-side food stall found new life as a simply decorated shophouse spread across two floors. A semi-open kitchen lets you glimpse the chefs as they work on intensely flavoured, great value dishes based on prime quality ingredients. The sea bass tom yum soup has a wonderful herby flavour and a generous portion of fish, while the rather unique crab omelette offers fresh flavours and a natural sweetness." - Michelin Inspector

Visited Nhong Rim Klong today around 12 PM with a group of four. We ordered a variety of dishes including fried rice with shrimp, Tom Yum fried rice, mantis shrimp meat, crab with egg, and a crab egg omelette. The fried rice had great wok hei (smoky aroma), which really elevated the flavor. The Tom Yum soup was a nice surprise—it wasn’t spicy at all, which worked perfectly for me since I usually avoid spicy food. It had a nice balance of flavors without being overwhelming. My personal favorite was the mantis shrimp meat and crab with egg—both were fresh and full of flavor. The crab meat omelette had a generous amount of crab, although it might have been a bit overcooked as it wasn't as juicy inside. Still enjoyable though. What stood out most, besides the food, was the friendly and attentive service. The boss and staff were very welcoming and kept checking in to see if we needed anything. Overall, a very satisfying meal with good seafood and warm hospitality. Definitely planning to return and try more dishes!

If you can’t be bothered to queue up for Jay Fai, Nhong Rim Klong is a fantastic alternative. Big portion sizes. We definitely over-ordered for just the two of us! The crab dishes are seriously generous, packed with chunks of sweet, juicy crab meat. Great flavours, no fuss, and way less waiting time. Definitely worth checking out if you’re craving seafood in Bangkok.

One of the crab meat omelettes I've had in Bangkok, complemented by fresh fish tomyum and crab fried rice. The portions are generous, the service attentive, and the environment clean and pleasant. The prices are quite reasonable, making it a good spot for lunch. They're closed on Sundays, with operating hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. I’ll definitely be returning.

Really delicious meal here. Crab omelet was juicy and flavorful. The seafood sauce was crazy good…I could put that on anything. The service was also super friendly and honest and steered me in a good direction rather than upselling, like some other shops. The stir-fry items like the fried rice and vegetables was really well done. Plenty of wok-hey. Definitely a place I would return.

Nice place to have great Thai food. Similar food to Jay Fai, minus the long wait time. I recommend the scallops in garlic and the fish fried in fish sauce and side salad. Go early, they close at 4pm daily.

Love omelette crab to the max! The filling is explosive full of crab meat! We ordered crab omelette & tom yum seafood, the portion is big. Recommendation I would like to suggest for Credit Card payment option. QR Code payment minimum to be reduced to 1,000 THB (currently THB 1,500)

Decent for neighbourhood crowd kinda food but not exactly a MUST… The food here lack char be it vege of fried rice. Omelette is the well done type. Crab is not bad very wholesome. Service is friendly. However I can’t find a reason to return as the food here is just too normal.

The restaurant offers delicious seafood and traditional Thai dishes at reasonable prices. Flavorful cooking, and great taste overall. Friendly staff and quick service. Clean and cozy atmosphere. Note: The restaurant does not accept Visa cards, so make sure to bring cash. If you’re looking to enjoy authentic Thai cuisine, this is a place you shouldn’t miss while in Thailand!
