Nong Rim Klong

"This former canal-side food stall found new life as a simply decorated shophouse spread across two floors. A semi-open kitchen lets you glimpse the chefs as they work on intensely flavoured, great value dishes based on prime quality ingredients. The sea bass tom yum soup has a wonderful herby flavour and a generous portion of fish, while the rather unique crab omelette offers fresh flavours and a natural sweetness." - Michelin Inspector

This restaurant has been Michelin-recommended for several years in a row and is famous for its crab dishes. They offer a wide variety of crab specialties, but the absolute highlight is the crab omelette(850 Baht). It is incredibly delicious and packed with an impressive amount of fresh crab meat. The portions here are quite big, typically suitable for 2 to 3 people. If you are dining alone or as a couple, I think ordering just one dish is more than enough. I arrived around 3 PM and was seated immediately without having to wait in line. Highly recommended for crab lovers! #CrabOmelette #MichelinGuide #NhongRimKlong

Visited around noon time on a Saturday and there was a sizable crowd within but no queue needed, so we got our table almost immediately. Ordered the crab fried rice and garlic and pork fried instant noodles - both was fantastic. Although do take note the pricing has gone up somewhat , for reference the crab fried rice was 600THB, which certainly wasn't cheap but still worth the buck. Food was served promptly and environment was brightly lit and clean so no issues at all. Highly recommended to try their food!

We tried several dishes here but the real standouts were the crab omelette and the green curry. The chunks of crab meat were huge and so incredibly tasty, they really don't skimp on the portions here. Fair warning: the green curry was so spicy I was literally crying while eating it, but the flavors were so bold and perfectly balanced with that sweet, milky coconut taste that I couldn't stop. The portions are quite large, so I’d highly recommend coming with a group of friends to share everything.

Visited Nhong Rim Klong today around 12 PM with a group of four. We ordered a variety of dishes including fried rice with shrimp, Tom Yum fried rice, mantis shrimp meat, crab with egg, and a crab egg omelette. The fried rice had great wok hei (smoky aroma), which really elevated the flavor. The Tom Yum soup was a nice surprise—it wasn’t spicy at all, which worked perfectly for me since I usually avoid spicy food. It had a nice balance of flavors without being overwhelming. My personal favorite was the mantis shrimp meat and crab with egg—both were fresh and full of flavor. The crab meat omelette had a generous amount of crab, although it might have been a bit overcooked as it wasn't as juicy inside. Still enjoyable though. What stood out most, besides the food, was the friendly and attentive service. The boss and staff were very welcoming and kept checking in to see if we needed anything. Overall, a very satisfying meal with good seafood and warm hospitality. Definitely planning to return and try more dishes!

A well-known alternative to the Jay Fai place for egg fried with crab. This place actually has plenty of crab-based dishes as well. The owner was nice, very experienced with hospitality i can tell. May break your bank though. And the egg itself is big, probably better suited for 2

If you can’t be bothered to queue up for Jay Fai, Nhong Rim Klong is a fantastic alternative. Big portion sizes. We definitely over-ordered for just the two of us! The crab dishes are seriously generous, packed with chunks of sweet, juicy crab meat. Great flavours, no fuss, and way less waiting time. Definitely worth checking out if you’re craving seafood in Bangkok.

Love the service and food. Plenty of juicy crabmeat in the crabmeat omelette. We also tried the sea bass Tom yum, the soup was tasty and salted fish collard greens. Reminds me of childhood memories. Excellent choice to come for crabmeat omelette.
