Pretty good thai restaurant. I had the panang curry, and the flavour was good but the chicken could've been more tender. My biggest complaint is that plain white rice doesn't come with the curry and is an extra $3, making it a bit on the pricier end compared to my favourite spot. The mango sticky rice was delicious too!

On a recent trip to Bellevue, WA I was put up at a Marriott. I was so hungry in the evening and this was the closest place. I walked to Nibbana Thai just a few feet from the door of the hotel. The place was crowded for dinner and It took 2 mins or more to get us seated. I ordered the red curry and loved the food as it was very authentic in flavor. I just wished as the portion size was large. A safe place to go. Great food and great service overall.

Google

Updated 4/13/2025 We ordered Angel Wing, BBQ Duck Curry, Crying Tiger and Mango Sticky Rice this time. I recommend everything except Angel Wing. -------------------------------------- Strongly recommend Kho Mok Talay!!! Prawn, calamari and coconut flesh is cooked with curry. Its taste and smell are both excellent! I also ordered Rock the Boat. It has soft shell, calamari, scallop and prawn. I think the crust is over thick. The fried rice is great. Service is very nice!

Google
Good thai place. Yellow curry, and peanut curry were tasty. They have all the typical options like mango sticky rice. Good service

Google
Went to this place solely for Thai Teas, so I got 2 to-go (one without ice for later) and both were super good!! Price is great, service was fast, and Thai tea was spectacular. Definitely making this my go-to place for Thai Teas! 😋

I enjoyed Chicken Fingers with fried rice and sea food topper. Thai ice tea won my heart! The ambience was soothing and the staff was so friendly!

The first visit was great. However, we were forced to tip at 20% for party of five on a Thursday lunch without being told in advance. Yet, the service was totally not worthy for 20% tips. They literally only took orders and delivered food to the table. Never ask anything or at least add water. Never visit again. ———————————— Only for first visit: Great Thai food and amazing service! Highly recommend making reservations in advance.

Yelp
Amazing thai food. So glad I came with a large group because I got to try a variety of dishes! The interior is clean and homey but it does get a little loud. There is a parking garage really close by which was very convenient. We ordered: - Whole tilapia: this deep fried dish was definitely the highlight of the dinner for me. The crunchy skin and house marinade pierced through the meat inside. I still think about this from time to time. Huge portion, definitely share with your group. - Bbq duck curry: a close second to the whole tilapia. I just wish there was more duck meat but the curry is really creamy and nice. Duck meat was nicely cooked. - Tom kha: we originally ordered the tom yum soup but they brought us the tom kha instead but we tried it anyways. It was my first time having tom kha but it's essentially tom yum but with a coconut milk base (I may be wrong). A good soup to share if you like a creamier base. - Khor moo yang: we were recommended this dish by the waitress but it wasn't that special to be honest. It was good but I wouldn't order it again. - kow soy: also not too special but a good noodle for sharing - papaya salad: nicely sour and refreshing. I always like to get papaya salad at thai places for a palate cleanse. The portion was large but I've had better papaya salad at other places. Not bad but wouldn't get it again

Yelp
Insanely busy on a Monday noon lunch rush. Short wait but very busy. Service was good . Menu had lots of vegan items. Everything looked amazing. I got the green curry and was disappointed. The curry tasted fine but only had potatoes and tofu in it. Zero vegetables. I'd say mid but I'm willing to try them again.

Yelp
Nibbana is conveniently located across the street from the Marriott. Food is so yummy and filling. Service is attentive and friendly. The restaurant itself is cozy and window booth seating. Nice to be able to see rainy Bellevue weather outside LOL

Yelp
Nice and simple and well lit place. Went here on a Saturday afternoon around 1pm. Best to reserve. Seated within a minute. We ordered Panang curry , sticky rice, crab Rangoon and motcha zen drink. The taste was good. Only thing is sticky rice came wrapped in plastic film in a small container(I don't know what it's called). I personally don't like anything hot in plastic. The quantity was extremely small. Motcha drink was not sweet on enquiring they told something that goes in the drink might not be sweet that particular day. Crab Rangoon was yum. At last we ordered mango sticky rice and the mangoes had gone bad and they served the dish without checking. They did not charge us for it but I felt sad as that was not acceptable to serve something without checking. Photos are attached for reference. Taste overall was good but I am unsure of quality.

Yelp
Nibbana Thai Restaurant is a solid spot for Thai food, with a large menu and a full bar. It's changed locations since it's beginnings, but still offers the same tasty Thai food that many in Bellevue have tried. I've never had a bad meal at Nibbana. In my most recent visit, my colleague and I came here for lunch and I had to take advantage of the lunch special for $15.95 where you can choose from a list of entrees, which come with rice and vegetarian phad thai. Not very many places in downtown Bellevue where you can get a lunch meal for less than 20 bucks at a sit-down restaurant. For lunch though, the place gets super busy, so I recommend trying to get here before noon on a weekday when the restaurant really gets busy. I ordered the lunch special of panang curry with beef and a Thai iced coffee. The meal didn't take long to get and it was delicious! I love a good panang curry and the beef was super tender with the red peppers. The phad thai was also tasty, with the noodles perfectly cooked and loved the egg throughout. If you work nearby, this is an awesome lunch special spot. But, the menu also has several other items to choose from, with just about any Thai dish you can think of. I'll have to come back for happy hour sometime with discounted bites and booze.

Yelp
Food is really good here! Service is a bit slow but the place is big and clean. I got the crab ragoon. Can't really taste the crab, it was mostly cream cheese, so I wouldn't get them again. Also got a grilled dish and that was amazing. Same with the pad see ew.

Yelp
Had dinner here with a friend. New to both of us. I had the duck, she had the steak and appetizer. The duck was really tasty and tender. The sauce was sweet. It's not filling though, so recommend ordering rice or an appetizer. Took a long time to get our food and the check. Couldn't order what I wanted to drink due to the language barrier. Tables are too close together, hard to hear once more people came in. Would come back to try more items during a quieter time.

Yelp
Its Thai flavor is not bad, which is not too spicy, suitable to my taste:) And the servants are friendly to me.

Yelp
Super disappointed. Our usual Thai place was closed but I was craving Thai so decided to try Nibbana and regret it. Ordered Pad Thai and Pad See Eww and both were bland. The Crispy Garlic looked like nothing close to what it usually is at other Thai places. It was not crispy at all. More like tasteless, jerky chicken.

Yelp
Did a walk-in with a friend after another restaurant we wanted to go to had a 2 hour wait. It was surprisingly really good!! We ordered Pad See Ew and Crying tigers from the grill. The pad see ew was really well done, as a standard dish I thought it tasted a lot better than other Thai places I've been to in Seattle! Crying tigers was beautifully plated. The steak was slightly overcooked but good overall!!

Yelp
The food here is really really good. Flavors are on point and portions are good. My only major critique is that the service is slow. If you are there on a busy day, be prepared to wait. So be mindful if you are in a hurry or not. The servers were pleasant and kind, but again they busy girl lol

Yelp
We had dinner here recently, this is their new location. We got Chicken Satay, Tom Yum soup, Pineapple fried rice, and Soft shell crab fried rice. Chicken satay was good. This has always been our favorite at Nibbana. The Tom Yum soup and Pineapple fried rice were good. I loved the Soft shell crab fried rice, it was great to have an entire fried soft shell crab over the fried rice.

Thy N.

Yelp
I've visited this place a few times for the crab fried rice, but this time I decided to try the wonton soup, and I was really disappointed. The soup was overly salty: there were two dried-tastless BBQ pork pieces, and there was nothing remarkable about the 4 wontons. The BBQ pork, which was supposed to be char siu, was so heavily food-colored that it turned the broth red. Seeing two slices of bright red pork leaching color into my otherwise clear broth was unpleasant. Overall, such a bad dish.

Yelp
Get the soft shell crab fried rice and their appetizers - I think it was a fried chive dumpling ? AMAZING. So crispy and soft with flavor! I got a level 2 spice fried rice and it was not spicy at all.. i could've gotten 3. Will definitely be coming back here whenever I come to Bellevue. Our server was super nice and informative on the spice level. They even give you a little spice rack of 4 sauces as well if you ask for it to put in your food if you feel you want more flavor - my favorite was the pickled jalepenos. Ambiance was ok, a bit crowded in seating, kinda loud, but definitely happy hour and good vibes!!

Yelp
Came here for a team lunch. Was super packed but luckily we had a reservation so no wait. I ordered yellow curry with rice, medium spice. The food came out fast but I don't think it was spicy enough, and it could've been more flavorful for it's price. Service was fine for how crowded the place was.
google avatar

RuoXuan H.

Yelp
The food was fine, but at checkout, we were asked to pay a 20% tip. The menu stated that for parties of six, the tip was 18%. The server explained that this was an old menu and the new policy was 20% for parties of five, which was not accurate either. We requested that they adjust the bill so we could fill in the tip amount ourselves. However, the new bill still included a 20% tip, and the server claimed the system forced it and she couldn't change it. After insisting strongly again, they finally allowed us to fill in the tip amount ourselves. After leaving, we checked the reviews and found that many others had experienced the same issue. It seems this restaurant regularly engages in this practice. If you care about the bill amount, please pay close attention.

Yelp
Lunch takeout for the team was missing several items. My pineapple fried rice 4 star heat was so bland! Tasted like oily white rice with a few veg. Chicken was like shoe leather. Would not order again.

Yelp
Have been going to Nibbana for over 3 years now, both the Renton and old Bellevue location near transit center. Bellevue is my preferred location. The new Bellevue location has lots of fairy lights around with plenty of booth, table, and bar seating. Service is quick and efficient but could be friendlier. Always return for the delicious food :) Prawns pad Thai spice 3 is one of my favorites!
google avatar

Yelp
A lunchtime favorite when in the office. Really enjoyed having them right next-door to our office before moving to this new location. Great to see the quality of service and food is unchanged.

Yelp
We ordered three dishes, the pad Thai, Panang curry, and gai yang (chicken grill plate). Overall, the food was ok. Pad Thai: very sweet, good portion size Panang curry: pretty small portion size and only came with a very small bowl of rice Gai Yang: for almost $20, you get a chicken thigh and small drumstick Service was great and our waitress was very attentive when we needed water refills! The place is cute as well. I'd say the food itself is 3/5 but the vibes make it a 4/5.

Yelp
I live down the hill from this restaurant. I have always liked it. I order take out at least once a month and bring my friends too. The food is excellent, the service excellent, the remodeled restaurant (It used to be a sushi place) is gorgeous. The only complaint I had is it is really loud. I have been coming here ever since Nibbana moved to this location...5 years? All systems go until today. I order to go at least once a month. Last night, I ordered my usual, pork pineapple fried rice. I took it home. It was awful. No flavor and the pineapple was going bad. I'm irritated of course. Now I have whip something up at home, and very little in the pantry, hence ordering to go. Today, I go up as soon as they open. I'm thinking refund or try again. Try again is in their favor. They lose very little by doing it over. Refund is in my favor. I am being generous. The young women there have ALWAYS been over the top gracious. Today, in plain English, I get two sentences out and I get a very rude, "What?" Not, "Sorry didn't understand you, could say again?" Or even, "Pardon me?" Now I am irritated. I missed my meal last night. I have to schlep up the hill with the order this morning...and on top of it, I get RUDENESS. I began again in an irritated voice. Do you think she would want to defuse the situation with a smile or something. She starts yelling at me..."You can't just come in here and start talking to me like that." I didn't. I tried to explain you very rudely interrupted me with "What?" Now she is talking very forcefully, in a foreign language to someone not visible to me. Just keep escalating and lose a customer. I had to walk into the dining area to find who she was talking to. Some guy I asked for help. i wonder what would have happened if I had not done that. Would they just ignore me until I went away. I told him refund or do over. We decided do over. I tasted it before I left. It was okay. I said, "I don't know if I will come here anymore, she was so rude." I gave three stars based on past experience. And this guy kept interrupting me the whole way through our conversation. But at least, he wasn't attacking me. I was able to say, "You keep interrupting me." And he got it.

Yelp
Nibbana came in clutch when I was craving Angel Wings! Started talking to my sister and she said she ordered some stuffed Angel wings (she lives in LA), upon hearing that I immediately had a craving of it as I haven't had this dish in years! May be even a decade! In summary- I HAD TO HAVE IT NOW! So I searched and it seems like Nibbana was the only Thai restaurant that offers it on the menu. Went there late afternoon and there were actually still quite some people eating. Service was prompt, food was hot and fresh and the portions were bigger than average Thai restaurants around! The Angel wings were fried delicately and was absolutely delicious! Pad Thai is one of those staple dishes that I order when it is my first time visiting and that was not too sweet and/or too wet - it was well made! Overall, can't wait to be back to eat another round of Angel Wings!

Yelp
We arrived on a Thursday right about noon and it was already getting pretty crowded. Assuming it's the downtown Bellevue business crowd. The hostess was attentive and tried hard to get us seated promptly. The food portions were generous and even though they were busy the food came out promptly as well. I got thePad Kee Mao. It wasn't the best that I've had as I like mine a little bit more flavorful but the ingredients were fresh and chicken was cooked perfectly moist. My mother had the lunch special with phad Thai and yellow curry which was too sweet. But all in all we enjoyed the restaurant.

Yelp
Cool Thai spot on the ground floor of a residential building in downtown Bellevue. It's a square room surrounded by windows on 2 sides, bar at the back. Tables and booths well spaced. Decor is sparse and sleek. For lunch, tried sweet and sour chicken and Boat Noodles. Boat noodles consists of shreds of pork, crispy pork belly, meat ball, bean sprout, Chinese broccoli, onion, cilantro and toasted garlic served in a sauce of dark pork blood. It's a unique flavor vaguely reminiscent of pho but without the noodles. Very tasty. Sweet and sour chicken is a melange of vegetables, sauteed with chunks of white meat chicken in sweet and sour sauce. Seemed more Chinese than Thai - but was delicious as well. Service accurate and friendly, food served within 8 minutes of ordering - quick! Plenty of other options on the menu to try. Will go back.

Yelp
I came here for a work lunch, and I have to say -- it's a 4, 4.5 star place all around! Exactly what you need for a casual lunch/cute dinner spot. Quick Highlights: 1. The combo lunch meals are exactly what I'm looking for. Rice, Pad Thai, and a Protein - and these all create the perfect filling and nutritious combo. At a great price too, around $14! 2. Fresh flowers all around, and on each table. Beautiful touch 3. (Not Pictured) The appetizers were also delicious, the fresh rolls were huge and came with two different sauces, and the crispy spring rolls were probably overpriced, but still good. 4. Happy hour is highlighted on the last page of the menu, and it's M-F 3-6pm, all food items offered that time are $5!! Haven't tried, but definitely would. Overall, I recommend anytime you're craving Thai in Bellevue!

Yelp
Came here for the first time and loved it! I sat at the bar and ordered food which came out very fast and steaming hot!! The Phad See Ew was delicious, spicy, and fresh. The staff is very nice. The restaurant is very nice and well decorated. The prices here are also very price friendly! This is the perfect casual place to go for the best Thai food !

Trina N.

Yelp
Came here for early Friday night dinner. It is warm and well lit decorated restaurant. Cocktails were perfectly balanced with a touch of cute decor. We loved the authentic foods and freshness of the taste! I would definitely recommend this place!
google avatar

Yelp
Food was fine but the eastside has a lot of Thai restaurants to choose from. I ordered the larb salad and it was too salty for me. It was however flavorful and filling despite the seemingly small portion. It has a strong fishy/sour flavor so be aware if you are not used to that. I did try some of my friend's "street food" dish and I would say it was tastier. The ambiance and staff however were both nice. They were nice enough to split a check 8 way.
google avatar

Erin B.

Yelp
This may be my favorite Thai in Bellevue, and it is definitely some of the best value. The soft shell crab fried rice and crying tiger were both delicious. I loved the crunch of the crab and the spicy sauce with the crying tiger was delicious. Definitely a better option for value than some other Thai spots in Bellevue. Service is also really good.

Yelp
Came here for a work lunch with coworkers. We used to go to the old location occasionally, and I would even get take out occasionally. I don't know what it was, but for some reason their food was always SO HOT - not spicy, like 5-stars... it was temperature HOT every single time. It was amazing for taking out food - because it'd still be piping hot when you got it to wherever you were going. Anyway, back to my lunch - it was pretty uneventful food-wise. They had pretty much the same menu as the old location - all the normal, Seattle-area Thai specialties. I'm usually pretty basic and get pad Thai because there's just nothing else like it that I eat. Their rendition is pretty standard - nothing crazy or special - noodles, sweet sauce, peanuts, bean sprouts, etc. They also have a pretty good crispy garlic chicken - fried chicken bites with a sticky sweet/garlicky sauce. Anyway, I'm certain I'll be back.

Siddharth M.

Yelp
The food was good. But, we were charged a mandatory service fee of 20% for 5 people. On top of that, we were given a receipt which asks for a tip. Menu states 18% for 6 people. I wonder why the waitress decided to add 20% on her own. A single entree plus rice comes to $25! I'll pass. Reading through the reviews, it looks like this is a common scam with this restaurant. Disappointed!
google avatar

Ina M.

Yelp
Actually one of my top favorites for Thai food. I get the KAPLAU GAI KAI DOA , PAD SEE YEW ,PAD THAI and CRISPY GARLIC CHICKEN. But honestly whatever you pick will be great ! Parking is kind of an issue but I think the food is worth it.
google avatar

Bre O.

Yelp
TL;DR: good portions. Fun, different options. Top notch pad see ew. I always base my Thai restaurant opinions on the pad see ew so bear that in mind. I've been here a few times to sit down and the ambiance is great. It's off the main strip enough where it's not painfully busy. Tried a few things on their special menu and appetizers - also really good although I can't recall what we got. I'm always so focused on the noodles! The portions are great and veggies are fresh. Flavor is really good; I always ask for light oil and they happily oblige. If you ask for medium hot - it'll be medium hot. I appreciate that. This is my go-to take out spot. Way better than the other options in the close vicinity (ie rice/spice and racha go). Definitely give it a try!

Mauricio S.

Yelp
I did a take out order for my family, I had missing items from my online order that I was charged for... bad place to order from , I will not order again .. I feel robbed
google avatar

Chelsea A.

Yelp
It's dangerous living so close to this spot. Everything I've had has been delicious, but we always get the crab rangoons no matter what entree we try. They're excellent! The staff is friendly and quick to greet when you walk in the door. We usually do takeaway, but the vibe in here is really cool. Lots of seating and fun lighting. It is always busy! I'd love to come dine in some time.
google avatar

Yelp
We stopped in to Nibbana for a team lunch on a Thursday. We had about 12 people, and they accommodated our party really well. The service was great, and our drinks were always full, which I really appreciate. Unfortunately, the food just wasn't great. It took forever to come out - it took around 30 minutes for everyone's food to be out, since they brought out the dishes one or two at a time. Once it did come out, it was just okay. I don't know if I'd go back next time I'm in town.
google avatar

Yelp
Such a great restaurant with authentic Thai food and great pricing in downtown Bellevue! They are off the beaten path in Bellevue so probably doesn't get as much traffic. While there is no frill to their dishes it is strong and good. Their pricing is almost unmatched in Bellevue for the quality and quantity. Especially when it comes to their drinks - they have a lot of choices for "low" value. We have been frequenting here a lot the last few months - almost once a week so I hope they will continue to thrive in this location.

Yelp
We saw recommendations on the app, the food and atmosphere looks good online, so we decided to give it a try. There were 5 of us, 3 adults and 2 kids, we ordered salad, noodle, steak, chicken wings and a soup. The steak and wings were pretty good, the rest not as good but no bad either. Also the atmosphere were really good and comfy. So I would give it 4/5 if not include service. The service was no good or bad, taking order in the first and asking if need anything else in the end, although the server doesn't seem happy. However, when we got the bill, it was shocked. There were FIVE of us, and on the menu, it said 18% service fee charge for table of SIX or more, however we got charged 20%!? And not 18% but 20%!!?? I understand maybe you have counting issues, but you can't memorize the percentage of service fee??!! We didn't argue with the server cause without charging we still give the same ( or more), we understand the waiter count on the tips for their wages. But TIPPING is depend on SERVICE. Overall, we didn't want to ruin our weekend so we didn't argue with the waiter. Also, we probably don't want to come back! To tell this to all people who will come to this place, REMEMBER to DOUBLE check on your bill!!!

Yelp
After my son finishes school, I enjoy visiting Nibbana Thai. It's not overly crowded, providing a cozy ambiance with pleasant Thai phrases on the wall. The food is delicious, and the service is great.

Aundrea J.

Yelp
Food is excellent. Fresh, great quality, god portion sizes and always consistent. Surprisingly great music playing creates a nice atmosphere.
google avatar

Yelp
I love their new location, i feel like it's more convenient being away from the bus station. Great spot for lunch or dinner, one of the better thai places in downtown. I like their crispy garlic chicken, my go to meal. You will want to come back.
google avatar

Yelp
I like going to this place as it's right next to Seattle Marriot Bellevue where I usually stay every time I visit for business trip. The place has a good cozy ambiance, staffs are very friendly and great food. I've tried their Pad See Ew, which is really good, Penang Curry and a cup of the Tom Yum soup. Portions are reasonable, a little bit pricey though, but I will definitely come back.
google avatar

Phillip I.

Yelp
Welp, it finally happened! I found terrible Thai food. Usually, Thai food is either really good or just ok, but never actually flat out bad. This Pad See Ew and Tom Kha are TERRIBLE. I was starving and couldn't even keep eating it. My stomach is on knots. This tasted like the way dirty dishwater smells. Avoid it if you can!

David E G.

Yelp
I ordered to go because we didn't have time to eat in on our anniversary. The receptionist prejudiced me. After I swiped my card to pay, she guarded and removed the food as if I was going to steal it! I am Hispanic, and I have a deep accent. I wonder if things would have been more interesting if my Bahamian-looking wife had come in with me and eaten there. Imagen! Then the food was not tasty at all. I have paid a fraction of what they served me. The Garlic was very salty. I asked for level 3 out of 5 spice, and I could taste the spiciness. The Red Curry is blatant. It is not authentic. The ambiance is uninviting even though they are in the middle of Bellevue. I do not recommend it.
google avatar

Lee B.

Yelp
This place tried to kill me! I told them that I have mushrooms allergy and they reassured me that no mushrooms were in the meal. I checked and didn't see any. After eating some of the meal, I realized that there were a few hidden mushrooms and began feeling it. We decided to leave and get treatment. The waiters didn't care and went to provide us with the check. I had to delay getting treatment because they insisted of charging us and get the bill.

Gord R.

Yelp
Pork ribs are prepared well but the ribs stink and are old, basically rancid Phad Cha Pork Ribs..i had to spit 2 of 6 pc out The Rock the Boat to go container was completely sealed thus making this crunchy appetizer... a limpy soggy dish. Also they completely fried the green muscle with the shell on!!! Good thing I picked out the flesh instread of biting down on it and possibly loosing a tooth or 2... laziness imho.. deshell the muscle!!
google avatar

Salvador A.

Yelp
I came down with food poisoning 30 minutes after eating the pad thai. Threw up in their sink. Sorry.
google avatar

Tran H.

Yelp
Got the Pad Kee Mao and Soft Shell Crab Fried Rice! I loved both dishes, especially the Soft Shell Crab Fried Rice! You get one piece of soft shell crab and rice mixed with snow crab meat. I ordered my meals to go, but I noticed that there were a lot of people dining during lunch time as I was picking up my order. It's definitely a popular spot to dine in and grab a meal with a large group of friends!

Yelp
This spot is serving meals that taste delicious. I can honestly say that I have been to quite a few Thai restaurants, and I can sometimes be picky. The flavors are rich, they do not disappoint. I think the atmosphere is also really date night appropriate. It is tucked away in Bellevue on a less busy street, parking isn't bad at all. Reservations are helpful. Staff is polite. I just think they are a gem. Highly recommend getting anything off the menu, even the appetizer was impressive. Drinks are also pretty and made well for the majority of the time. I will return numerous times.
