"Nicandras is a casual Italian place in Bushwick that makes all of their own pasta and has reasonable prices for food you’d see at a fancier looking restaurant. There’s not much signage outside and the space itself is pretty simple, but this place fills up. So it might be a good idea to make a reservation for a date night with someone you want to impress, without having to spend the kind of money you would at other places in Bushwick like Maite or Faro." - Hannah Albertine

Nicandra's reminds me of this little place in Rome that specializes in takeout pasta. They do a great job of keeping the menu simple. I first started off with the ribs which are a signature dish here. Then I went with the fettuccine ragu and pecorino. Finished off my night with a creme brulee (chef's kiss). As I said, pretty straightforward, simple, fresh pasta. I am definitely coming back to try the other items on the menu.

This is hands down the best handmade pasta joint you’ll find for many blocks. Dreamy textures and beautiful flavors, and the couple that run it are the best. Always welcoming, always prompt, you feel at home with them. Their new grab-n-go menu is a true steal at just $13, the prices went down but the quality and quantity are the same! Get it while you can!!!

I really enjoyed the ribs for starters. Fell right off the bone! Also, the pasta was refreshing and experimental with different flavors. Squid ink pasta was the move. If you want to drink you'll need to visit a bodega and BYOB. Get a reservation!

This place BOYB! The pasta is to die for! Absolutely delicious! You can truly taste how fresh the pasta is. I ordered the squid ink pasta and I loved it! Can't wait to eat there again, because it was amazing!

Small space but gives you a personal service like a somewhat one to one feel to it. Food is genuinely tasteful and authentic. Reservation is a must!

This place is amazing been here 4 times already and the food tastes better every single time. The service is awesome, the quality of the food is mazing, the prices are just ok for the quality of the food; the place itself is very chilly and relaxing, just waiting for them to get their alcohol license and I’ll be there with my partner every weekend. Love this place.

Nicandras has been a slice of heaven during covid insanity! When Covid started we got dinner for takeout with low expectations on the quality when it came home but we’ve been constantly blown away by the food the Chef creates! Every dish is the best dish and you cannot go wrong with whatever you order! This is hands down our favorite restaurant in Bushwick maybe even beyond!!
