"The Gresham outpost of the popular family-run Lebanese restaurant serves the same freshly baked pita, creamy hummus, pizzas, and meze the original is known for. Right on the quintessential small-town main drag, Nicholas, with its gold and scarlet color scheme, is suburban-style spacious with generous room between the solid wood tables and wrought-iron chairs. It’s worth saving room for dessert, with options like chocolate-peanut butter baklava." - Krista Garcia, Janey Wong

"Since opening shop on SE Grand in 1987, the beloved family-owned and operated restaurant has become a staple for Lebanese cuisine, and has since opened two more locations, one in Northeast Portland and the other in Gresham. The creamy hummus dip has a great balance of tahini, garlic, lemon, and cumin, and makes for a nice pairing with the freshly baked, fluffy pita. The roasted red pepper walnut hummus — a blend of chickpeas, tahini, red pepper, Aleppo pepper, pomegranate molasses, and walnuts — offers a sweet and savory alternative to the traditional dip. Call or order online for takeout or delivery daily, but check each location for specific hours." - Lauren Carlos, Michelle DeVona

Nicholas Restaurant in Gresham, OR, is my absolute favorite place to eat. The flavors are just amazing and fresh. Every bite leaves me speechless, wondering how it is possible for something to taste this good. If you're ever in the Portland area, I highly recommend a visit. We chose this place to celebrate our 29th anniversary.

The food was so delicious!! Such great flavors and a wonderful staff took care of us. The ambiance was very cheerful and clean. We tried multiple drinks and the mezza sampler and each piece was a hit for us! Definitely recommend. The salmon kebabs were great too

May 12 2025 Update Took Mom here for a Mother's Day lunch. She loved it! Austin was our waiter and is great at his job. They have definitely remodeled since I was there last. Very clean and welcoming atmosphere. Food is top notch. So many choices. Loved the big fluffy bread with zatar. Mom got a lamb bowl. I ordered a chicken pizza. I always like to try something new to me. I was pleased with every bite and sip. I highly recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner. You won't go wrong with whatever you order. I took home a salmon salad for my husband. He's a picky person. He Loved it!....... Oh smells so yummy. They bring out a large pita bread with olive oil and Zatar for dipping. If you are looking for a fast meal this isn't the place for you. It's worth the wait time. I highly recommend you eat in and absorb the atmosphere. We ate on a Wednesday around 2pm. It was crowded. You know the food must be good if it's crowded in the middle of the afternoon on a Wednesday. I will be coming back soon to more.

We loved the bread which was still fresh and steamy when it served. The dishes were full of flavors and spices, the rice was great, of course the chocolate peanuts butter baklava was amazing! We don’t have much experience with Lebanese food but this was a great start.

My family really enjoys the food every time we come here. It can be a bit challenging for my mom because it’s a small space and it’s nearly always at capacity, so it’s usually very noisy. My mom has some partial hearing loss and has a hard time understanding the conversation due to it. She still loves coming here for the food, we just have to wait until after the meal to talk about it.
