Local craft brewery featuring a sprawling taproom with communal tables & a variety of beers.
"Get your groove on at the Night Shift Brewing Everett taproom for the free Lite It Up: Battle of the Bands, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Local artists take to two stages. Attendees can cast a single vote for their favorite band, with the top two taking home a cash prize. Bonetown Burgers and the Night Shift Eats food trucks will be there with bites to accompany the beats. Dogs are welcome, and the event happens rain or shine. Savor a drink special that mixes Nite Lite with orange spritz syrup, citrus gin, and fresh lemon." - Erika Adams
"To get to Night Shift Brewing in Everett, you have to take the Orange Line to Wellington, cross a river, and skirt along the side of a six-lane highway. You’d think a journey that nearly requires a sherpa would keep the crowds away, but you’d be wrong. This place gets packed on the weekends, but since it’s basically a giant warehouse with multiple rooms, it doesn’t get too uncomfortable. Try to get here early enough to grab a picnic table on the patio, so you’ll be closer to the food trucks and cornhole." - dan secatore
"Hosting a pajama brunch party with cereal-themed doughnuts from Speakeasy Donuts, from noon to 4 p.m. on New Year’s Day." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal
"Night Shift Brewing has outdoor seating at its two locations (the original in Everett and the newer one in Boston’s West End), plus three beer gardens — one along the Esplanade (between Berkeley and Clarendon streets), one at Herter Park in Allston, and a new one at Somerville’s Assembly Row. They’re all back to operating at 100% capacity. All locations welcome “children and small infants.” At the Everett location, reservations are accepted (although most of the space is saved for walk-ins), and the patio is dog-friendly. Snacks are available from a rotating schedule of food trucks. See details on other locations below. Night Shift Everett is currently offering indoor and outdoor seating, as well as beer pickup." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal
"Most know Night Shift for its roster of IPAs, but do not sleep on its light beer offering, aptly named Night Lite. It’s sold in one of the best beer cans in the game — the Night Shift owl is crafted with colorful dots, which resemble the nodes on a Lite-Brite board — and at 4.3 percent alcohol-by-volume, it functions as a well-crafted replacement for Bud Light (or whatever other mediocre-to-bad light domestic lager is typical of summer cookouts). Availability: As one of Night Shift’s year-round, core offerings, Night Lite is always available at the taprooms and many local stores (Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, and New York). Night Shift is currently offering pickup from its Everett taproom, including four-packs, 12-packs, and cases of Night Lite (and lots more). Four- and 12-packs are also available from the Lovejoy Wharf, Boston, taproom, and it’s also on draft there for patio service. Night Shift is also offering home delivery throughout the Boston area; watch Instagram for updates on which areas get deliveries on which days." - Terrence Doyle
