I visited Detroit for the first time on Tuesday 9/2. I wanted to try a Detroit Style pizza for the first time. Went to Niki’s after doing some searching (and also this was the only one of the big names that popped up open on a Tuesday which surprised me). I can’t speak for the rest of the Greek menu, but we ordered a small 1/2 Mediterranean 1/2 Cheese and it was super delicious! I’m a New Yorker born and raised. While I will never say this dethrones NY style, I will definitely say this is so much better than Chicago deep dish and it has made me start looking up where I can get Detroit style local to me. Though I can’t imagine it’ll be anywhere as good as this was.

Google
The atmosphere was relaxed and the service was friendly, which we appreciated. However, the quality of the food was disappointing. I ordered two small pizzas—Mediterranean and pepperoni—and unfortunately, the dough was undercooked on both. At first, we each had a slice, thinking the texture might be due to the freshness, but it quickly became clear the centers were not fully baked once we reheated at home. I asked the server if different cheeses were used, possibly causing the middle to feel overly moist despite the outer crust appearing done. She wasn’t sure. Pictures are included you can tell one portion was cooked and another one wasn’t. And the wet dough under the toppings,

We were on our way to a Tigers game but we needed food. My wife's name is Niki, so we absolutely had to try Niki's Pizza. We got a Detroit style slice with pepperoni to go. It was shocking how good this pizza tasted. Niki's Pizza is criminally underrated and should be near the top of all pizza rankings. We went to another pizza place that 's highly recommended the next day, and Niki's topped it by a mile!

Hard to beat half off pizza Wednesday. Pizza wasn't bad, but it was half off pizza sauce, too, apparently. Definitely order extra sauce. Salad was fresh. Restaurant could've been cleaner. There was food, straw wrappers and silverware on the floor in various locations. We were there at an off time, so it wasn't very busy. They could've been cleaning instead of standing around talking. Server was friendly and polite.

Google
Their Greek food was mediocre at best. The service was friendly but very slow and not very attentive. Seems like a good place to watch a game but don't go for the food.

Sarah Tapia

Google
Niki's pizza is delicious. The Greek pizza is my favorite and the BBQ chicken is also very good. Their hummus is so flavorful and I think their pita bread may be homemade (or at least it taste like it). The staff is super nice and down-to-earth. I make sure to stop by with my coworkers every time I'm in town. Give it a try!

Google
Ate here after a work event. We were a large group but were seated immediately. Our waitress was excellent and attentive. The food was fine, but I expected a bit more from a place like this in Greektown. The pizza was decent but the gyro was fairly greasy and didn't seem super high quality. The pita also seemed very stale and had an odd flavor to it. Overall I'd put it pretty middle of the road for food, but the location and service are pretty great.

Kristen Longenbarger

Google
Food was very good! Service was decent, they do add 18% gratuity to all tables no matter the size. We had pizza, greek salads, a gyro & a hummus appetizer with 2 cocktails for around $100. Would definitely eat here again!

Yelp
This was our first taste of Detroit style pizza on our trip! We got a pepperoni pizza, with half feta. It was SO good. Who knew feta belongs on pizza! We went mid day on a Sunday, and it was not very busy, but it should be! The pizza is so good! We ordered the pizza to go, so we could enjoy it by the water. They did tell us it would be 10/15 minutes, and it was more like a 30 minute wait. However, it is a deep dish pizza, so not all that shocked. Just wanted to note, that it will probably be a longer wait than expected. It was a very cute, and a comfortable vibe. It was a very

Yelp
It's been a while since I've been here. My son and I were fortunate enough to get a table before a Detroit Lions playoff game. We went with the Greek salad and their classic Detroit style deep dish pizza. The salad was fresh and the dressing was authentic and tasty. I would have liked a little more feta cheese. The pizza was quite good and checked all the boxes that quality Detroit style pizza is known for. The crust was light and crunchy. The pizza sauce was tangy and hearty. The service was spotty but it was an extremely busy night in the "D". If you're looking for a solid place for lunch or dinner you won't be disappointed coming here.

Yelp
Nice little gem in Greek town while the main Greek town street is being renovated. Our server was great and patient with our big party and food was delicious. Great place to get the famous "flaming cheese" and the Detroit square pizza
google avatar

Yelp
We are back again one of my favorite pizza places in Detroit. We started with Flaming greek sausage love to watch fire . We love the Wednesday special large pizza for half price. So we went with large meat lover.

Yelp
I saw that the famous feta pizza here is ranked on a list of one the best in the country. I ordered a small pizza with half pepperoni and half famous feta. I went to pick it up and asked the woman at the front desk if I can have some ranch and she gave me some ranch, pepper flakes, Parmesan cheese. The famous feta pizza was so yummy and so filling. The pepperoni I would say jets is better. But overall this is a nice Detroit staple.

Yelp
Finally got to try Detroit style pizza at its hometown! Niki's had lots of different options and since they specialize in Greek cuisine, they also had Greek dishes. The Greek salad was massive, with lots of beets, lettuce, feta cheese, peppers, and house Greek dressing. It also came with pita bread The chicken wings were crispy and the breading was on the thicker side. We got bbq sauce on the side but you could also choose from honey mustard as well. Since we wanted to try a few different flavors, we could get a large half and half pizza with two different options. We got half feta cheese and half super, which was a combo of veggies and your choice between lamb, beef, and bacon. Unfortunately they got our order wrong twice so we couldn't get what we wanted but on the bright side, we ended up with more pizza than we expected. Sad I didn't get to try the lamb as I requested but the pizza itself was tasty and loaded with toppings. The slices are thick as well so even two slices got me very full! Service is on the slower side and our waitress disappeared for a little bit, but was friendly. There are plenty of indoor seats and the decor is modern, with lots of wooden accents and vibrant paintings. The parking is street parking only and the side streets weren't the safest to walk so make sure to bring some buddies with you!

Yelp
I was highly disappointed in my experience at Niki's Pizza. We went on a Wednesday during lunch hours where they have a half off on large pizzas. We was seated very quickly, it wasn't busy at all and a few people were in there. The inside of the restaurant is outdated and could benefit from some upgrades to it. Our pizzas were not tasty at all, they were not hot enough. We only enjoyed the fried mushrooms. I would recommend trying somewhere else if you looking to try Detroit style pizza.

Yelp
Hands down best Za in Downtown, Went in for lunch, on a Friday. The place was desolate, nevertheless greeted with warmth and smiles from the servers. I was greeted quickly and had my pick of any booth or table. They had TVs on but they were not loud or jarring, just some white-noise in the background, and i bet if i had asked to change the channel to something i wanted to watch they would've obliged. I order the 2 slice special, which is two slices of their famous pepperoni or cheese with a Greek salad. On the salad I asked for extra olives, at no extra charge! The pizza: Fluffy, crunchy, scrumptious crust. Great cheese melt and pull on every bite. A robust and hearty red sauce that filled every bite. And the pepperoni had a delicate, yet tangy flavor that echoes through the palette. So good i almost ordered a whole pizza to go!! But we practice restraint in 2025. The salad: Nothing to right home about. Except I appreciate extra olives was no extra charge, and their olives do have the pits in em, just an fyi for anyone ordering a Greek Salad in the future. Can't wait to order a whole pie one day and chow down!

Yelp
After a long flight to Detroit, I found myself STARVING. Myself and a few friends from a conference looked around for a place to sit and have a good meal. We found Niki's Pizza - a wonderful spot not that far from the riverfront. It has pizza, salads, regular entrees, and a full bar. It was exactly what we needed! I ordered a small veggie pizza - I've never had a Detroit style pizza and it was so good! The inside of Niki's was clean and inviting. On my first visit to Niki's (because YES, I went back the next day to eat more pizza), the A/C was broken. Our server was so kind and explained the situation. She asked if we needed any additional waters or anything to compensate for the heat. Luckily, I am from sweltering Florida, so the heat was not bothering me one bit! The next day, the A/C was all fixed up. I highly recommend Niki's if you are in the area or staying at a hotel nearby. It's a great place to sit and breathe after a long day at a conference or after a day of travel!

Yelp
We stopped by Niki's Pizza on a Saturday afternoon. I would describe their pizza as traditional Detroit style, but with a Greek flair. We had a large pizza with pepperoni only. Food: Great pizza - very filling. The tomato sauce was fairly sweet, and the crust was just the right amount of crispiness on the outer edges, where it contacted the pan. Service: Service was decent, but not outstanding. Our server was competent, but seemed distracted. Ambiance: This is a great, old building that's been around since the 1980's. However, there was a huge group of guests having a family reunion when we came into the restaurant, and the noise level was out of control. That's not the fault of the restaurant of course, but that large party diluted the wait staff. My left eardrum is still ringing from the soul-crushing decibel level from that table.

Yelp
I don't know if we hit Niki's on a bad night or what, but this wasn't a good experience. We came on a weekday night and it wasn't busy. This is one of the Detroit style pizza places I hadn't been to yet, and was looking forward to trying it. We were pointed to an area to sit and were given menus to take to our table. We waited quite a long time until a server realized we hadn't been checked on (they were apologetic). After taking our drink order (and the beer I was interested in was out, so I ordered another...), the server came back to tell me my next beer choice was out. So, I went with a plain old Bud Light. I ordered my staple pizza for whenever I try a new DSP spot: pepperoni and mushroom. My wife had the feta pizza, which was supposedly awarded as a top pizza in America. Both were rather underwhelming. I felt the sauce was too sweet and the cheese just wasn't right for a Detroit style. I was entirely mozzarella instead of the staple Wisconsin brick cheese. The crust was decent, but the sauce and cheese not being right (and oozing off the slices in a way that most DSP doesn't) just didn't do it for me. She wasn't much of a fan of her feta pizza either. I imagine this is a great place to go before a concert or a sports event when things are busy. There's plenty of space for a drink and pizza if your expectations aren't high.

Yelp
We were meeting some friends before a Lions game and they decided to come here because they offer some allergy friendly options. We had already eaten but I couldn't resist the pizza. It was absolutely delicious!! We love the ambiance here and the service was great. I swear Detroit has some of the most amazing pizza options!

Yelp
This spot is in the heart of Greektown, and was the only spot that I saw in the downtown area that has later hours (which is prime time for pizza). First of all, LOTS of interior seating space inside the restaurant, which I was impressed to see. I went here a few times, and the second trip is what bumped the rating up a bit. The first time I stopped here, I got the small Detroit Style Pizza (pictured), which took a solid 25 mins. I had somewhere to be, so I got it carry out. The pizza is definitely a D-Style, and was 'reliable'. I returned a few nights later because I just wanted a slice, and in an odd twist, I thought the slice was better prepared than the whole pizza. It was a cheese slice, and it was a fresh out slice. Not sure if it's because I went after midnight when the pizza is hitting different, or I was just in the mood for a slice, but my impression of the slice was better than the full pizza. With that being said, it's a spot you can go to late if you're downtown/Greektown Detroit with lots of dine in space, slices to go, and it's priced pretty standard. The service was good; nothing much to add on that end. If you like spacious dining environments and a reliable slice, this is the spot.

Yelp
We ordered a pizza online. Got there to get it and it was totally wrong. They agreed to remake it. Remade it.... Wrong. But, we were tired and just took it and left. But it was gross. Undercooked!!wrong meat. Soggy. People were nice enough, but not super friendly. Definitely not heading back tomorrow night!
google avatar

Yelp
We were visiting Detroit because of the Free Press International Marathon so of course one of our stops had to be an establishment with Detroit Style Pizzas! They are dog friendly on the patio so that's always a huge plus. Our server was great and she was on it! The portion sizes here are great. Both salads and pizzas we ordered were very good and the Opa! Saganaki presentation was fun! I'm happy we randomly came across and experienced Niki's while we were in Detroit!
google avatar

Jeff L.

Yelp
Service was less than average. The inside looked much nicer than it did on the outside. The pizza was just ok. It was doughy with limited toppings. Likely won't be back, but was a needed break after the game.
google avatar

Bryon M.

Yelp
Had to have the authentic Detroit pizza. Only wanted a few slices, not a whole sheet. This is where Niki's comes in. 2 slices for $6. I didn't see any other establishment offering slices. The pizza was fresh. Crust was soft and buttery and it tasted like any other good pizza. I got a corner piece and the crust actually reminded me of a Pizza Hut pan pizza. And that's not a bad thing, imo. I got the slices to go, and they were still hot after my 15 minute walk back to the hotel. The only downfall is the description. The menu states "cheese and pepperoni". To be, that means it will be a slice with cheese AND pepperoni. But I only got cheese :-( Perhaps it should read "cheese OR pepperoni"? I also wasn't asked if I wanted pepperoni. Oh well, no big deal. I'll know for next time.

Yelp
Came a lil after 10 pm a Friday night after going to the Draft. Only had pizza & soda Food is good. Service is slow. The vibe is really nice. It's really nice inside.
google avatar

Becca S.

Yelp
My original plans were thwarted by the Greek Festival a couple of blocks down, and sections of downtown being closed off for the Draft. I was hungry and passed by Nikis on my way back to my hotel, looking for SOMEWHERE to eat. It was in between lunch and dinner and there were a couple of spots open on thier little patio. I walked in and asked the lady at the counter if I could sit on the patio, she pushed a menu toward me and said sit anywhere. Alright. Later I saw people being seated at the patio, but whatever, it was a beautiful day and I just wanted to get some food. And I waited. And I waited. I didn't see anyone come out to the other two tables that were seated out there, so after about ten minutes I started to think that I misunderstood and needed to go order at the counter. I gathered up my purse, and a waiter finally came out. I ordered everything all at once, I had had time to peruse the menu. I got a glass of water, a glass of wine, and the pizza and salad special. Easy peasy. He brought the drinks right out. After a bit came the salad, and he asked me if I wanted the pizza now or to wait until I finished the salad. I said bring it on out. The salad was mostly iceberg lettuce, not a cucumber in sight, two little tomatoes, two olives with pitts, two pepperoncini, a bunch of red onion, beets, and feta. It came with Nikis Greek dressing that was giving me Olive Garden vibes. It was a while after I finished the salad that he actually brought out the pizza. The bottom crust was nice and crisp, but the cheese had cooled. It had been sitting there for a bit. As soon as he dropped the pizza he gave me a check and said to pay at the counter. The pizza had a great texture and the places it had sauce on it, were very flavorful. But it needed more sauce. Where it was missing just tasted like cold cheese sticks. Before I was finished he asked me if I was ready to check out because he was leaving. There is a tactful way of doing that, but he hasn't caught on. He just rushed me to then sign the receipt before I had a chance to put my card away. The food was decent, but the service was lousy. Half my time there I spent waiting on him, and then he wants to rush me to pay him. Looking at some past reviews, that doesn't seem uncommon. I liked the pizza, but I would definitely ask for more sauce, and maybe sitting inside, I wouldn't be forgotten. It wasn't busy and there was plenty of staff, so it wasn't an issue of being short.
google avatar

Grant G.

Yelp
The pizza was mediocre. I do not consider it Detroit style. The service was slow virtually no ambience. It does have a very interesting history. However, it seems outdated and they need to pick up the pace and the quality to keep with the times. Please do so because I love the nostalgia of Nicki's but the food and experience just Did not impress
google avatar

Ellie B.

Yelp
Stopped by Niki's for a mid-afternoon slice on the recommendation of a friend while exploring Detroit. I'm so glad we stopped here, the pizza was delicious and restaurants space itself large and open. Service was a bit slow to take our order and get the check considering we were one of just 2 tables at the time, but the food was delicious so we didn't mind waiting too much.
google avatar

Max M.

Yelp
This is a great place if you're heading downtown for an event. The pizza reminds of a traditional Detroit style pizza where your toppings are under the cheese. If you love Buddy's pizza in the area, this place will be a great option for you. Don't forget some saganaki as well!
google avatar

Josh D.

Yelp
I was in town on a guest spot at Nostromo tattoo in Pontiac but first I stopped into the city. I had to try some Detroit pizza. I'm so happy stop by Nikis Pizza. Very nice staff and the pizza was so good and cheesy! I'll be back again!

Michelle P.

Yelp
I can't even give this place 1 star. We were seated and there was only 1 table in there besides us, there were about 12 employees just standing around waited and no one came to take our order. The last time we were there we were told that their cheese machine was broke. We used to go there everytime we were in Detroit but tonight was the last time.

Angie B.

Yelp
We were visiting our son and he brought us here. Great ambiance. Our server was attentive and the pizza was awesome.

Dominik M.

Yelp
Enjoying a night out in Greektown? Make sure to stop by Niki's. I had a craving for pizza and was very pleased. Very quick service and delicious options both food and drink wise. Server was awesome and the whole restaurant had a cool atmosphere.
google avatar

Eric S.

Yelp
I've had lots of pizza, but this one is really great... super crust, saucy sauce, lots of cheese. Try this place!
google avatar

Jonathon R.

Yelp
I got the idea to come to Niki's after seeing them on Fox 2 news over a year ago. It was kind of a funny story when a group of 6th graders discovered a the upstairs night club. I heard the pizza is amazing and they lived up to the expectations. It was delicious.

Aj V.

Yelp
Atmosphere was dead, wanted to try Detroit style pizza so bad in Detroit. Ordered the feta and the delux pizza. Basically just put peperoni and feta on dough and served it like that, was mushy and fell apart, was debating if it was cheese or dough when eating it, cooked the leftovers at home and it was much better
google avatar

John J.

Yelp
We had an amazing time people watching and having some of the rated 25 best slices by GQ. Appreciate you having me and the Knead God family.
google avatar

Kitty K.

Yelp
Everything was good. The pizza by the slice was sitting for a while. I recommend getting a specialty pizza so it's made fresh to order. The Saganaki was very good & arrived at the table quickly. The hummus was grainy and delicious, served with Greek olives, tomatoes, and cucumbers. I got the gyro platter. It was good, it only came with one piece of pita. The drinks were strong. Be careful where you sit. There is an obvious roof/pipe leak within the dining area.

Shaq S.

Yelp
I only go here on Wednesdays when all large pizzas are discounted Usually I get the large super with lamb , which is pretty tasty Be prepared for it too be busy and there might be a wait time The one thing that I don't like about going here is the lady that works the counter can have a bad attitude and not be very friendly but sometimes she is kool All in all a great deal on gourmet pizza
google avatar

Bowie C.

Yelp
Horrible. Order a small square cheese pizza takes 2 hours to come out and when I get it it is filled with pepperoni they don't fucking listen
google avatar

Sonya W.

Yelp
Had the fries amazingly good. Service exceptional. Laronte is awesome. Come support her to get A1 service

Yelp
Hey hey Niki's look whose back! No trip to the "D" is complete without seeing Lions football or Red Wing hockey and a visit to Niki's in Greektown. It is called Niki's Pizza but the menu is extensive. Burgers, salads, cheesecakes and all your favourite Greek dishes. They add something that's lemony sweet to their Saganaki. Unbeatable. The Scordalia is puréed to the perfect consistency and contains the perfect combination of olive oil, garlic and olives. They marinate their baby octopus in vinegar, olive oil and oregano. It's truly addicting. They still feature 1/2 off large pizza on a Wednesday night. They have patio seating and a hoppin' bar. One block down from casino it's the perfect diversion to help you save your cash. 8/20

Lidia H.

Yelp
Detroit pizza was amazing! Coming from Albuquerque, we don't have that here. Staff was friendly and helpful.
google avatar

Nicole E.

Yelp
Had to come here for some Greek salad with chicken, gyros and a Budweiser. My friend was in town from Germany, what is Swedish. I had to have a euro here in Detroit in the famous Budweiser. The food was average, as expected. It's still cool to come to this famous Greek restaurant in downtown Detroit.

randy m.

Yelp
Now the Pizzapopalous has left Greektown I had hoped that Nikki would be the new Pizza Place for me down there. I tried their pizza. It was not very good. The next time I went I tried the gyro sandwich It was dry and not very flavorful.

Suzanne S.

Yelp
We visited the famous Nikki's Pizza yesterday ( Saturday August 3, 2024 ) and there were only 2 tables with guests. Our server was nice enough, but she neglected to offer anything. I got water that I asked for, but wanted something else. She never came back to ask or upsell anything- no suggestions or offers of any kind. A group came in after us and got their drinks and food before us. A couple sitting next to us ordered drinks, got charged, but never received their drinks. We wondered how experienced our server was because there were entirely too many things overlooked that could've been better with a little bit of coaching or experience. The food was good but honestly, after our visit yesterday, there's no reason to go back.

Yelp
Some of the worst service Ive experienced in a long time. Slow and forgetful server. After about 50 minutes gave up

Yelp
Great food, atmosphere and service! Great for gatherings and close to all kind of life!

Yelp
dont eat anything else best pizza around im lowkey bussing out my trousers eating this jon

Yelp
Awesome food and service considering there was only one server for the whole floor. It took a while to get our food and drinks but is understandable considering our server was working solo.
google avatar

Yelp
Pound for Pound a good pizza if you like Focaccia Bread. I would have asked for more sauce and cheese next time. I dipped it in marinara and was more appealing for me.
google avatar

Josh A.

Yelp
This pizza was killer! Hot, crispy, flavorful my first Detroit pizza in Detroit I will definitely be back!! Their creamy garlic homemade dressing was great as well!
google avatar

Lee A. S.

Yelp
This was a very nice place overall. There was one rude lady at the front entrance but our server made everything better with her excellent service. The food is great. The Greek sausage was tasty and I loved how they burn off the alcohol from the brandy at the table. Also the chicken wings were delicious. It was definitely a good first experience.

Management P.

Yelp
My wife and I used to go here a lot but it has been about 10 years since we ate here. Stopped by today with much anticipation based upon past experiences. Not good at all. Gyro - I never that this would be possible with lamb but this had no flavor at all. Plenty of meat but no flavor. Pizza - this was always what Nikki's is known for. Not today. It reminded me of pizza left in the box overnight. Dry. Burger - this was average which sucks because there are many places downtown where you can get a great burger. Overall $75 later this was a very bad experience and very bad food.
google avatar

Brittany H.

Yelp
Stopped in around 10:30 am on a weekday. It was dead (go figure). I was greeted immediately and sat in a booth near the back. Our server, Brad, was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the chicken gyro sandwich with tzatziki instead of honey mustard. It was delicious! And HUGE! The decor was fairly causal - brick walls, with pictures of Greece all over, and comfortable booths. Will be back one day in the mere future for an entree.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Sloooooooooooooooooooooow. 3 tables, 1 finished and waiting for check. She ghosted for over 10 mins. Not sure what happened. There's no one in here
