The 16 Best Restaurants & Bars On Beacon Hill - Seattle - The Infatuation

"The takeout operation in here is really fast, but we prefer sitting down at Nikos at a table with a covering that looks like fine blue china. They make some excellent avgolemono (chicken and rice stew), and it’s even better with a squeeze of lemon. We like to order it alongside a lamb gyro stuffed with tzatziki and feta." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley

Google
I tried the Specialty Plate with falafel. It's a large plate with a fresh and crispy greek salad with premium ingredients. A side of warm pita with a delicious tzatziki. The falafel on the other side is not great. It was dry and flavorless, and the hummus was very simple, almost watery. It's a little bit expensive, like every other restaurant in town.

Google
Niko's is our favorite Greek restaurant by far. Their gyros are the best, and their Greek fries are perfectly crispy and seasoned amazingly. Their tzatziki is superior. The outdoor seating is lovely, as is the indoor seating. The restaurant has a beautiful interior, very kind staff and amazing service.

Google
Love this place. My go-to spot in Magnolia and for Greek food. Great service every time I am there. Usually go with the Magnolia Village plate with fries, but have tried most of the menu and have never been let down.

Google
I would give them a zero for service…we’ve being going since they opened and the current staff today 5pm ish 4-30-2025 was poor. One I ordered our usual gyros and got some chunky type of meat… could not even chew it…argh…called them on it they said I should have clarified that I wanted traditional… never before have I had to clarify but then the older staff knew us. If there is more than one type of gyro why wasn’t I questioned on which one I wanted? Have loved them in the past but this was a damper on going again anytime soon.

Google
Bustling Greek restaurant. I was very impressed with the size and quality of their spanakopita.

Google
We stop by after Farmer's Market and got a great meal here. The kababs (souvlaki) were delightful and came with rice covered with feta cheese. Each dish also came with a large salad that everyone at the table enjoyed. Staff was friendly and welcoming. This is a perfect place for a large gathering or family.

Google
One of the best spots in the Northwest for authentic Greek food. The flavors are truly traditional, and everything tastes homemade. If you’re a fan of Greek cuisine, this place is a must-visit!

Google
Just read a few of the bad reviews. Some people don't know what they are talking about. The worst are "Greek specialists". Niko's is a small eatery with some Greek products you can buy. The food is simple but good, also good selection/variety. I go there often and sure, there was one time when the "new" woman at the counter seemed a little disoriented but staffing problems are an issue all over, even in medicine!

Yelp
Our favorite quick neighborhood joint. You see everyone here--for a reason. Their appetizer plate is the bomb.

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of this place. Their food never disappoints. I've been craving their soup and salad, so ordered the greek salads and soup. It's my typical go to greek restaurant and I love how convenient it is to where I live in Magnolia. They always use fresh ingredients and I love the salad dressing that they use. Their shop carries imported merch from Greece as well: quite a hidden gem. Staff is friendly and service is quick too! We ordered take out this time, but usually, we dine in at their indoor or patio (if it's nice out).

Yelp
Went there last night hoping for a decent meal. The food was bad. Putting a bit of feta on thin cold fries doesn't make them Greek Fries, the lamb gyro was over cooked, poorly prepared, and the sauce (supposed to be tzatziki I think) was a weird lemon yogurt, or something. My mate asked for a sparkling water with lemon which we were told we'd get, received only a bottle of water. Nothing to return for.

Yelp
Delicious gyros with a very mom'n'pop feel to the place! We enjoyed the outside seating this time, but inside there's plenty of seats and a quiet nice vibe. Staff was very friendly, and food came super quick!

Yelp
Wonderful family owned Greek restaurant. My meals at Niko's over the years have consistently been fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. The food is excellent, reasonably priced, and the staff treats you like family. Well worth the trip even if you arent in the Magnolia area.

Yelp
Super delicious lemon chicken rice soup and appetizer platter. The fresh made sandwiches and all the dishes are superb. Love the local to discovery park.

Yelp
I have been enjoying Nikos for years. They are always kind and food is fresh and plentiful. This evening I went in and had a halibut gyro for 10 dollars! I also really enjoy their lemon/ rice soup, gyro salad and lamb.

Yelp
Man, I wish we had discovered Niko's sooner. Flavorful hummus and falafel, tender and juicy souvlaki, those Greek fries, yum! Everything delicious. We ordered takeout, but there's a few tables for dining in, as well. When I think of delicious Mediterranean food, it tastes like what you get at Niko's.

Yelp
I stopped in during a trip to the Saturday market in the village. This appears as a convenient location. There are three picnic size tables out front, but be aware on a hot weekend, the garbage smell may linger due to the location. For the food: we ordered a traditional gyro. The meat was flavorful but the gyro overall was lacking on the other ingredients. It needed more of the refreshing crunch (lettuce/onion) but did have enough sauce. As for the price, it felt a bit high considering it was a stand alone item. I can give credit that perhaps being right next to the village maybe the rents are high. Another +1 for how quick the food came out, but the staff were not welcoming or friendly in anyway. Kind of a bummer, but will definitely give another chance because everyone has their day. I did note that some folks at the other table had orders of salads and possibly a platter - they looked like healthy portions and down right delicious. I will be back with an update before the end of summer, and hopefully can incorporate this into my regular take out schedule. It has potential!

Yelp
I was utterly disappointed to receive my fries and pita as they were both hard and almost inedible. I have gone to Nikos frequently and the fries and pita usually have a soft texture but today every single one of my fries were hard. Same goes for the pita. It's like they don't have anyone watching the grill. Go to golden olive or mr gyros if you're considering going here- Nikos will leave you disappointed.

Yelp
A super decent Greek place in Seattle! The food is good and the service is efficient. There is plenty of seating inside and out. This place is a no frills location-- their menu does not change (aside from occasional specials) and you always know what you are going to get.
google avatar

Tim S.

Yelp
Fantastic, local favorite. Long lines for eat in and take out so plan ahead it prime time. Carry out was efficient. I'll take pictures next time.

Mackee L.

Yelp
Definitely my go to place when I'm in Magnolia and craving meatball gyros and Greek Salad. Yum!!!

Yelp
We've ordered out from Niko's quite a few times, and enjoyed the food well enough and had decent service. The last time we ordered from them was literally the last time, though. My wife opened up her salad and found A LIVE MAGGOT crawling across the container, which was shocking and disgusting as you can imagine. We called the restaurant to speak to someone in the hopes that they would reimburse our meal or do something to make good for it, but instead, we ended up talking to an older woman who yelled at my wife ("What do you want me to do about it?") and offered no refund, reimbursement, or anything resembling sympathy for having sold us inedible food. We threw the rest of the food away. We won't be returning to Niko's Gyros, and I'd suggest if you have a hunger for Greek food, you look elsewhere (unless maggot salad is your favorite).

Yelp
We recently moved to the area and popped into Nikos for takeout while we unpacked boxes. Staff was friendly, service was fast, and the Chiken Gryo was so flavorful. There are a few more expensive items on their menu, but a gyro sandwhich is very reasonably priced!

D T.

Yelp
Nikos Gyros must be frozen gyro meat: tasteless, bland, no texture, every slice looks like every other slice. I think they should change their name to whatever dish they make in house. Nikos Avgolemono might be plausible? Nikos salad dressing maybe? This is where you go if the next nearest Greek restaurant is thirty minutes away. They've got a captive audience in Outer Magnolia.

Caprice C.

Yelp
Went there today to pick up an order and the old man at the counter was very rude I came and I confirmed the order in front of him then he asks me to see it I said I just did did it in front of you and if he wasn't watching not my issues maybe he's to old and slow not sure or racist. I will never get an order form here again. Never had a restaurant ne as rude. I don't deal wiry any rudeness and if your rude I will write a review for sure. I even pulled my car over to write this.
google avatar

Amani C.

Yelp
Love this place! We've been going for years. Wish the food was a little more consistent. My biggest gripe is the pita being hard in spots, and chicken being overcooked ruins the taste. Other than that delish! Love the lamb souvlaki and the gyros.

Yelp
My grandparents were immigrants from the Greek island of Crete, so I grew up eating delicious Greek food. When I moved to Magnolia in the late 90s, Nikos became a favorite for me and any visiting family members--especially my mom. It became a tradition to go by anytime she was in town. She loved the food and visiting with the owners. No matter who I'm with, we always order a bunch of mezzes and eat like the Greek do. as a long-term vegetarian, my only criticism would be that I'd like more vegetarian mezzes options. My mom is gone now, so a visit to Nikos now means not only delicious Greek food but also some very sweet memories.

Yelp
5 starts for quick and easy and consistently the best gyro in Seattle. Specifically the traditional gyro - great Taziki sauce with feta mixed in and plenty of fresh greens and a couple of tomatoes. Along with a fluffy pita and it's just delicious!

Yelp
I feel a bit like an outsider only giving this place 3 of 5 stars, but this place was good, but not a shining star for me. It is a cute little spot in the Magnolia area locally owned. They normally have eat-in, but that's been adjusted with COVID. I picked up some food here with some coworkers for lunch. I ordered a lamb gyro with a side salad. The gyro was good, but not remarkable with flavor, spices, etc. The salad was a little soggy. I'd pickup food here out of convenience, but not a place I'd seek out/go out of my way.

Vince I.

Yelp
If this is how this restaurant handles waste outside their place of business I question how clean is their food preparation areas? They have been contacted about this mess and continue to put garbage in bags on the sidewalk outside the building

Gillian L.

Yelp
Always tasty, authentic Greek food. Ready when they promise! Crew is great. Ordering online or via phone is so easy.

Yelp
Last night we ordered dinner here, land while it pains me to leave an unfavorable review of this place, I feel compelled. Since Covid, we have continued to support this place and love how they pivoted their seating area to a Mediterranean deli shop. They offer great and delicious items and we frequent and enjoy. My low review here is solely about the food quality in a dish I couldn't finish. I ordered a chicken souvlaki plate and the chicken was not chicken. It was something else. I don't know if they are buying from a new meat source but it was inedible. I could not eat it. The texture was odd. It didn't break apart right like meat would. Was rubbery. No taste. I had someone else try it and they spat it out after attempting to chew it. I hope they go back to what they had before ...

Yelp
What my parents like: 2 specialty plates, both with traditional gyro wrapped. Greek Fries and Salad. Peta Bread and Tzatziki comes with it. With a side of rice. What I like: Lamb Gyro or Traditional Gyro

Cammy H.

Yelp
I LOVE the food at Nikos. For 25 years Nikos has consistently provided Magnolia with excellent Mediterranean food. They have take out.... and you can dine both inside and out. Inside feels like you are in Greece, which is delightful! Thank you George and Mary for 25 years of wonderful food!
google avatar

Yelp
This is a review for the demeanor of the man that owns this restaurant. One day I was passing by and he caught my glance. We chatted for a few minutes but I had a meeting to get to. He treated me as an old friend and offered me a free gyro card. I thought of him every time I went to the boat launch or to Mura but I never did make it back to his establishment. The food smelt amazing and I could not have asked for a more human experience which is so rare in the hustle and bustle of the city. I would eat here but I would just pay as it has been far too long to pull out that wrinkled card. Do stop by.

Yelp
Great food, great service and convenient. Love this place. So good Wonderful atmosphere!

Yelp
Always my place to go for amazing authentic Greek food. Nestled in the magnolia village, this place is an absolute gem. They have the best gyros in town and I love their fresh salad. Kids always order the tzatziki and pita and extra gyro meats.. I don't think there is anything you will not like.
google avatar

Yelp
Classic Magnolia eatery - quick delicious greek food - family owned and operated. It's sort of one of those neighborhood places where you are like I need something good and fast and reasonable - Gyros it is! I'm a big fan of the soup :)
google avatar

Brigette M.

Yelp
Friendly atmosphere and great staff with delicious food, can't be beat! We also love what they have for sale like orzo and spices so we can try to make our own yummy greek food. Can't recommend enough!
google avatar

Yelp
Best Greek restaurant in Seattle. To go menu and deli items for sale with plenty of seating. Lots of gluten free low carb options, and super nice family. A Magnolia staple; highly recommended!
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty solid value for the price! I was able to drop by and grab a traditional gyro for just under $7. It was a pretty decent size - it was my entire dinner and held me over pretty well. The meat all appeared very uniform and precut, and the veggies were a little bit mealy, but their feta-tzatziki sauce brought everything together surprisingly well. So even though each individual ingredient itself was not great, it ended up being pretty tasty. Overall, this is one of very few places in Seattle that I have found thus far where you can get a solid meal for under $7, so it's worth a try if you're on a tight budget.

Yelp
We're regulars at Niko's. The beef souvlaki salad and grilled pork chops are our favorites. The lemon soup is also a frequent go to for us. Service is fast and accurate and you can call in your order. Some day we'll have to explore more of the menu.

Emily R.

Yelp
Always delicious and quick. Friendly folks. Gyros sandwich was delicious. A Favorite Seattle spot.

Yelp
OMG. This was the best gyro I have ever had! Saw this place a few weeks ago and have been meaning to try it and ended up grabbing dinner here last night real quick. Location: located across the street from Bartell's on the main street of Magnolia where all the shops are. I parked on the street. I ordered: - gyro wrap (had beef and lamb, feta, lettuce, the yogurt sauce, and I think onions? Can't remember but I do remember it being delicious!) I think around $6 - zucchini fries Lots of outdoor seating, and plenty of seating indoors as well. You order at the counter, they give you a number and they bring your food out to you. Water is self serve to the right of the cashier. Ok, now to the food. The meat was hot and looked like it had been seared on the grill, it was amazing! Veggies were fresh, and just enough sauce on the wrap to make it delicious. I feel like this place is as authentic as it gets with real Greek background. Any who, if you are around the area give this place a try! Really good prices too:)
google avatar

Shannon D.

Yelp
Great neighborhood place. It is an institution in magnolia. But I do have one complaint, the Greek fries aren't what they use to be. Something is missing.
google avatar

Chelsea J.

Yelp
We come here for sit-down or take out once every few months. The food is always excellent. I love their baklava. Their gyro meal open faced is what I usually get, with a side salad and greek fries. It's so much food. If I order that and a side of hummus and pita, it can feed 3 people. The value is good and the food is delicious. I'm sad that they closed completely (hopefully temporarily) due to COVID. I hope they open up for takeout soon.
google avatar

Sandra S.

Yelp
Wow, what happened? I've been coming to this place for at least 25 years. Today I had a large Greek salad that had about 1/2 teaspoon of feta cheese, 2 olives and mainly romaine lettuce with two half slices of cucumber and a plastic cup of sour greek dressing. The interesting thing is they do not even have tap water for customers anymore unless you buy a drink for $3. I've found the young female relatives that work there do a horrible job and are very rude to customers.
google avatar

Erin F.

Yelp
I've found that most Greek places use the same standard meat, but there's something about the way Niko's puts effort into everything else in the gyro that makes this my favorite place in Seattle. Ask for the vinegrette when you go and put that shit on everything
google avatar

Melanie A.

Yelp
Wow, a rare find. Like another reviewer, I walked in without a clue or even how to pronounce gyros (the g is silent I was coached). The special was halibut gyros and boy were they amazing. Lots of fresh fish, Greek spices, served up by kind people. A photo of Grandfather greets you above the door and on the specially bottled (a 90th birthday!) Greek dressing for sale. There are other yummy Greek specialty foods in an adjacent space that you can select and add to your order while you wait- the dried pasta is amazing. You can eat inside or out if you can snag a table at this little gem in the heart of Magnolia. Try it! You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Fantastic place to eat... so good! The staff are friendly and the food is very, very good! It's a neighborhood favorite!
google avatar

Jennifer D.

Yelp
Outstanding food...everything was fresh, hot and delicious! Super quick and super nice service!

Lauren B.

Yelp
Haven't found better Greek food anywhere in Seattle. Fresh food, great flavor, and an Avgolemono soup that's superb.

Randy K.

Yelp
Ordered two chicken gyros. Very skimpy on the meat & sauce, no tomato, pita pocket bread was room temperature, lettuce was romaine stalks (not the leaf part) to make it look bigger. Very disappointing, can't recommend, won't return.
google avatar

Charlie L.

Yelp
Cute little local joint, homey and inviting. I am a huge fan. Delicious food, funny friendly owner. I highly recommend the chicken gyro. It's just as delicious as my favorite local gyro shop. Having never been to Greece, I would not be able to say whether it's one of the best in the world, but I would definitely say one of the best on the west coast. Great food, great experience, highly recommended.
google avatar

Pragnesh P.

Yelp
Magnolia institution and family owned Greek restaurant preparing excellent food for anything Greek for more than two decades. Efficient, friendly and fast order taking to service. Indoor and outdoor seating depending on the weather. Salads, falafels, eggplant, keftedes, loukaniko, souvlaki, gyros, kabobs, mousakas, kalamari, pastitsio, fries, tatziki, hummus, pita, and baklava. Whatever your craving is, they cook best Greek food in the vicinity. Lunch, snack or dinner, they got variety of options for the Greek in you.
google avatar

Mandy S.

Yelp
need a great grab and go place? this is your place to go! tasty roasted lamb or lamb skewers gyros along with all the basic options sides were affordable esp the three large falafels with hummus pitas were super pillowy soft too and a great option to tale to breweries nearby!
google avatar

Tanner R.

Yelp
Great for take out and definitely a great bang for your buck. You're going to get the quality of a sit down Greek restaurant for the price of $10-$15. My recommendations: - Any of the gyros (Traditional or Pesto are great) - GREEK FRIES Rating this 4/5 stars however because of the service for take out. It's an extremely busy restaurant during rush hours, but it's always hard to get a hold of them.
