Close to LSU, this independently owned counter-service spot satisfies with Cantonese-American staples. Earlier coverage in 225 Magazine encouraged ordering beyond the basics; today it remains a dependable, student-friendly favorite.

I had a great experience at this restaurant! The food was steaming hot, freshly made just for us. I really appreciated the family-friendly vibe, especially in such a busy area like LSU. Even with all the traffic, the relaxing dining space offered a nice change of pace. While seating is somewhat limited, there was still plenty of room to feel comfortable. The owners are truly wonderful people who genuinely care about their food and customers, just as much as they do about their family and business. I ordered the spicy shrimp with mixed vegetables and extra gravy, along with lo mein noodles and a non-pork egg roll. My business partner tried the sesame seed chicken with egg fried rice. I can’t wait to come back to this place again! #sharethelove #fyp #foodie #muckbang

Ordered food from here and surprisingly for a cookie cutter chinese restaurant it was very good. Granted I was several different chemicals in my body at the time, so that may have had an impact. Do note, it does'nt taste good no more the next day, but that could be attributed to no longer being under the influence. LOL!

If I could give it no stars I would !!! On Christmas I decided to bring my mom from out of town to try what I thought was the best Chinese spot in town. Within hours I realized I had made a grave mistake. Me, my mom, and my 1 year old daughter fell so sick with food poisoning. The food they had given us the rice the noodles the chicken must’ve been so old and expired. Diarrhea, vomiting, chills, body pain, and fever. I am just now able to walk and move around without feeling like I’m dying. My poor daughter was so sick with a fever and diarrhea she was dehydrated. Why be open on Christmas if you weren’t going to cook fresh non expired food for people ??? I have the right mind to think it was done purposely. The way we were so sick it’s no way they didn’t know they were giving us bad food when they cooked it and covered it in sauces. If my daughter hadn’t recovered I wouldn’t sued, and I still might. DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!

Man… the food was shockingly salty. I mean… it verges on inedible. I had the cashew chicken. I order this dish at every new Chinese restaurant I visit. This was the worst example I’ve ever come across. The chicken was cut into thin and small strips which were breaded and fried… before being stir fried with veggies and doused in a sauce. It was not good… this is me being restrained in my dislike for the food. The Rangoon was tasty. One bright spot.

Definitely a 5 stars! Got a great meal for a very reasonable price. More filling than Cane’s for almost half the price! As to if it’s better than Cane’s, that’s subjective. But it definitely has a more home-cooked taste! Also the couple who run it (I believe) are very nice and will make sure you get whatever you need.

Love this place and the staff is incredibly nice. Go once a week. Love the sesame and General Tso’s and the Pork Fried Rice is great. New renovations has it very clean, too. Great place. My favorite local Chinese spot
