"At Nine-Eleven Tavern, it’s cash only, no takeout, no reservations, and no air conditioning—just pure old-school South Buffalo wings, served exactly how they’re supposed to be. Fried to perfection with a brittle, golden crust, these jumbo wings are slathered in buttery hot sauce for a satisfying tang that doesn’t drown the texture. There are no fancy flavors here—just classic hot wings, done right. Grab a spot on the back deck or settle into the main room where the walls are filled with old sports memorabilia. photo credit: James Pici photo credit: James Pici photo credit: James Pici photo credit: James Pici" - David Neimanis

"A no-frills type of establishment, Nine Eleven Tavern is cash only, with no takeout, no separate checks, no reservations, and no groups of more than six people. Your only sauce options are mild, medium, and hot. Its simplicity is what draws devoted regulars to this dive bar in South Buffalo. Make sure you order a side of fries with the wings — they are among the best in town." - Tori Allen

This place is often recommended as the top wing spot in Buffalo. I went with high expectations, and they were nearly met. I got there within 10 minutes of opening on a Thursday, and the wait for food was already an hour. Shortly after I arrived, guests had to wait an additional half hour to get a table. My order of hot wings was indeed brilliant. Saucy, spicy with complex flavor, and hot! I really enjoyed them, but would I wait an hour for them again? Unfortunately not. I've had meatier, juicer wings at Gene McCarthy's. Blackthorn had comparable sauce. Overall, this place was really good, but not worth an hour's wait. Hopefully when they expand, the wait time goes down!

Had an amazing time here. Not from this area, but wanted to eat some wings in Buffalo. 100% Local Corner Bar vibes. Parking is on the street but wasn't bad. It's a small place that gets full fast. Only accepts cash! Didn't realize this until I went in, but had cash on me anyway. They let me know there is an ATM across the street if needed. My waitress Kelly was great! Kept drinks full and brought food out hot. She was also very friendly thanking us for coming and even recommending a local pizza place for my friend to order from tomorrow night. Now the food... my friend and I are on a work trip up here so wanted to try a variety. Got a triple (30 wings) hot, an order of Finn fries, and a single pizza rolls(4 rolls). Fries came out 1st and WOW , glad we only got 1 order. They were huge and delicious. Portion is definitely big enough for a family of 4. Pizza rolls are pepperoni and cheese filled egg rolls. These were good and different, but not really my favorite thing. Then the star of the show- the wings. Hot isn't super spicy, but has a little kick. But the flavor was great! So crispy and juicy! The presentation was also great! Look forward to seeing yall again whenever I'm near here.

Google
The wings are great the best wings in my Opinion the management is horrible Never open during posted open hours which is minimal to begin with but then it’s hit or miss pull up and it’s closed most the time. Over an hours wait. Can’t seat 6 people. Can’t accept take out orders. Only accepts cash could be a great business if it was managed correctly The wings were very very good when you can actually get them sadly it’s hard to dine here but we go back anyways becausw the wings are just that good

Google
Wings, wings, wings. If you want to experience a top 5 chicken wing in Buffalo, NY then this is a must go!! The menu is small. Wings, chicken fingers, fresh cut fries, pizza logs and corned beef sandwiches. That's it, but they do them all right. Hot, crispy wings....yum. I give this spot a 4.75 out of 5 stars.

Google
I just don't see what everyone else sees in this place. For starters, the place is old and dirty. The men's bathroom is disgusting. A piece of chipping paint from the ceiling fell on our table while we were waiting for our food. I know they're rated the top wings in Buffalo on a lot of lists, but mine had soggy skin and the cook was inconsistent because the wings were not all the same size. The sauce was good, but why put it on the celery? I could name 50 spots in Buffalo with better wings. This was not worth the hype at all!

Google
Really good wings definitely worth a try! but be prepared to wait (we were) we waited about an hour to get a seat (got there at 5 on a friday), fries came out pretty quickly and then it was about another hour + for our wings. They were super good and well worth it but i think coming later at 730 or so would have been better (there was open tables with no line. it was also a sabres game night so that probably increased wait time. the staff here is great though each person was HUSTLING all night! Our server was kind and wonderful and made sure to check on us multiple times!

Google
Excellent service Fries were homemade and cooked perfectly. Wings only come in hot, medium or mild but they were worth the drive. Tasted great. Cooked and served beautifully. Great place!!!

Google
***cash only** Friends came in from the capital district area to experience what this great city of Buffalo has to showcase for chicken wings. Went to six places back to back to back etc... in one day. The atmosphere is great. The staff was amazing. Showed up around 5pm on a Friday. Group of 4 we were seated immediately. Ordered fries and 20 medium wings. Fries came out in maybe 15 min. Wings closer to an hour which the waitress/hostess asked us about prior to seating us. The wait was worth it. The medium is a medium mild. So maybe I’d order hot next time. The cook was great. Juicy. Tender. Crispy. The size of the wings were larger than most from the day. The fries were good. Also another twist on your typical medium wing. Might have been a medium garlic parm variation. It was delicious. Thank you. Will be coming back. I lucked out and was able to park in the street right in front of the restaurant

Yelp
Some of the best wings in Buffalo! With this comes a couple down sides. 1- no reservations 2- 6 ppl max per party It is also cash only. The corned beef sandwich was good and the fries there are amazing. I understand some places don't take reservations then they should have a time limit. We waited 2 hours to get seated while there are tables of people finished eating and just sitting. Deff a must try at some point though!

Yelp
While in Buffalo New York my husband and I were dying to try Buffalo Wings in Buffalo New York!! We decided to stop by Nine-Eleven Tavern. When we showed up they were pretty busy and it was pretty loud. Our waitress took our ordered fast and brought us two local beers to drink as we waited... When our Wings finally arrived I was surprised that they were all really big (to me)! Being a hot wing judge from Reno I thought I had probably tasted some pretty good wings but shut the front door because these are THE BEST WINGS I had ever had in my LIFE!! There was no small talk...or any talk at all once she dropped off these little chunks of heaven on a bone! We devoured them in no time at all...I am surprised that I even got a picture of them! Were they crispy? Yes!! Were they saucy??? Yes!!! Were they the right amount of spicy?? Yes!! Were they the meatest Wings I had ever had?? Yes!!!! When in Buffalo definitely check out Nine-Eleven!! Thanks Nine-Eleven for answering all my Buffalo Wing Dreams!

George D.

Yelp
During my wing tour of Buffalo, I tried 7 places across 2 days. This was the last stop. Arguably, at the top of close second. Got the hot wings. Legit heat and so flavorful. This place is no frills. Just my style. The server was so darn friendly. Highly recommend.

Carly T.

Yelp
My husband and I were influenced by the chicken wing trail to try Nine-Eleven tavern, and they earned the top tier spot for a reason! A few things to know before coming. BRING CASH. This place is cash only, and be prepared to wait. The dining area is very small and they also do not do take out. We arrived at 5:00 and the dining area was already at capacity. We were told the wait was about 30-40 min for a table, and about an hour for food. And she wasn't kidding! We were seated at 5:30 and our food arrived at approx 6:25. We ordered fries (which they are also known for) and 20 medium wings. The menu is on the smaller side and if you're looking for a variety of flavors for wings, this would not be the place. I believe there are 3-4 options. Hot, med, mild. Along with the 20 wings and fries, we had 4 craft beers and our total came to $75. The wings were pretty good. Tasty, meaty, and cooked to perfection. The hand cut fries were the star of the show for me. They were crispy, packed with flavor, and overall delicious. I will definitely be back to Nine Eleven Tavern!

Carlos J.

Yelp
Best wing spot in Buffalo! Ordered medium wings they came out perfectly cooked with a perfect crisp wings are huge and priced perfect! Blue cheese was great too had the texture and taste of homemade blue cheese

Mike M.

Yelp
911 is one of the best wing places in Buffalo and hope this place continues to be a secret! We ordered 50 wings hot and they were amazing!! The wings were so saucey and had amazing flavor! We sat out on their small little back patio and really enjoyed our meal! The service was excellent as well!

Alexa V.

Yelp
We came to buffalo to try some wings and Nine-Eleven was our last stop. We were full, and only ordered 10 wings. I wish we had come here first. The wings were amazing, the sauce was so flavorful. There was only one waitress for the joint but she was quick and no none sense (which I prefer). The wings were perfectly crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside.

Jason L.

Yelp
Finally made it here for the first time. We ordered 10 mild and 10 hot. We usually split medium and mild, but at the server's recommendation got hot. My first bite into the hot wing was the best chicken wing bite I've ever had. My wife was laughing at me ogling over the wing. Chicken texture was perfect, and the spice was so nice. Great mouthfeel, and amount of heat. Definitely a unique spice blend, different than other Buffalo favorites. I am already craving that perfect texture/ spice combo again. We also had the Finn fries that came out hot and delicious. We liked adding the malt vinegar to them. They served as a great pre-wing starter, with a non-traditional seasoning blend. We sat in the back corner, and enjoyed looking at the golf memorabilia. Everyone just seemed so happy to be there, us included! Servers were helpful and kind. Looking forward to coming back!

Patrick J.

Yelp
I have eaten at least 10,000 wings in my life and I believe these were the best I've ever had. Perfectly crispy, plenty of sauce and even better presentation. My only complaint about the wings is the sauce could've been a little spicier If you go here, plan on having a wait. We got there right when they opened at 4pm on a Saturday (there was a line formed outside the restaurant, in 40° weather). After we ordered it took probably an hour and a half to get our wings, but it was well worth it The fries (not pictured) weren't half bad either

Tom M.

Yelp
First time at Nine-Eleven Tavern. Menu was limited but let's be honest you're going for the wings and the fries. The wings were cooked perfectly and the medium sauce was very good. House made blue cheese was excellent. The fries were hand cut with garlic seasoning which I enjoyed. Ambiance is corner dive bar and service was attentive. Prices were reasonable. Will definitely return.

Jaimie P.

Yelp
Wings are awesome and the fresh cut fries are even better. Very small sitting area unless the outdoor seating is open. Staff is friendly but every time I go the wait time from ordering to receiving food is always awful. They always say it's because they only have so many fryers but I would think they could come up with a better process. The last time we went someone ordered chicken fingers and we all ordered wings. The chicken fingers came out and they had eaten them and waited another 20 min before rest of food came out. I would go more often if timing was better.

Antoinina M.

Yelp
Best wings in Buffalo, NY hands down. It's a very small restaurant with a small menu. Cash only. Cannot accommodate parties larger than 6. Only have mild, medium, and hot flavored wings. Amazing thick hand cut fries.

Rhaegar T.

Yelp
Got 20 wings and finished them no problem. Half hot and half medium. Pretty similar spice levels. I'd go hot next time.

Mark II S.

Yelp
Still the best traditional wings in the Buffalo area. The fact that a single order of wings is $14.50 and they are among the very best is quite amazing. Most restaurants/pubs with inferior wings are charging $15-$18 for a single order of wings. On top of that, they gave us 11 wings instead of 10! I wouldn't expect that every time but it was a nice bonus this time! Plus, they also have possibly the best french fries I've ever had, or "Finn Fries" as they call them. Don't be bothered by the "rustic" restrooms. If you are looking for the very best Buffalo-style wings, look no further than Nine-Eleven Tavern.

Wing Kings O.

Yelp
If you were to ask five random people in Western New York where to find the best wings, AT LEAST one of those people would tell you that it's Nine-Eleven Tavern. In fact, Nine-Eleven is so popular that when the Wing Kings previously tried to sample their wings, we were sent packing after learning of the 2+ hour wait time. But our timing was right on this day and, with great anticipation, we finally got to sample this top-ranked establishment. In most ways, Nine-Eleven had the familiar feel of a typical wing joint; well-stocked wooden bar surrounded by locals, a handful of TVs showing various sports, dim lighting aided by a few neon decorations, dark wood panel walls adorned with Bills paraphernalia and simple seating designed for utility, not comfort. But one thing was starkly different about Nine-Eleven; the menu. By far the simplest wing menu of all our visits to date - no flavors, and just three options; mild, medium or hot. While a small menu is typically indicative of a restaurant that focuses only on what they do well and ignores distractions, on the flip side, it turns out you CAN have too much of a good thing. Sauce: 3.5 / 5 Let's start with the first bite - the sauce had an excessive sweetness that the Wing Kings universally agreed was, unfortunately, just "okay". And as the meal progressed, we were reminded of the law of diminishing marginal utility, which states that the marginal utility (enjoyment) from each additional unit (wing) declines with consumption. The impact of having only one flavor was felt strongly here - a flavor break (BBQ, Cajun, anything) would have been welcomed and might have slowed our diminishing enjoyment. Meat: 4.5 / 5 The wings themselves were nice shaped, consistent and with few protrusions and imperfections, but this is really a great chance to talk about the unique presentation that Nine-Eleven delivers. Wings were nicely splayed in a flower-petal style and with 50 wings presented on the same plate it really makes for an impressive display. Cook: 3.5 / 5 What the meat offered in consistency was sorely lacking in the cook. These wings didn't have the typical crisp exterior that a deep frier leaves on a wing, and some were too moist to the point of being "gooey" (not a word you want to see in a food review). We can only assume they struggled with a large order and had to make them in shifts because other wings on our place were overcooked and dry. Final score: 11.5 / 15 To the scores of loyal followers who swear by this place, to each his own, but with many great restaurants still left to sample, Nine-Eleven appears to be outside the radius of the Wing Kings' royal circle.

Yelp
Unfortunately met with hostility from the hostess right away. Had a party of 8 that couldn't be seated together which is fine. I indicated we would split into two groups of four at different tables. She repeated that we could only go to the bar with our party of 8. I again said that we would come in separately as separate entities. She said no again because we already told her we were together. after much debate she finally agreed with an attitude. We sat down and we were served immediately with drinks and our food. Server was friendly but hostess did not smile or say thank you etc when at our table. the other table was not served food until an hour and a half later when we were leaving. I believe this was intentional. I approached the female owner about this situation at the end and said we were giving her hostess a problem. spent over 120$ for food and drinks for 4. very uncomfortable. not worrh it. wings were ok. i would highly recommend other places for wings as they are just as good with a pleasant atmosphere. will not go again and will spread the word of this heretic experience. this is the first review of a restaurant i have ever posted. that's how horrible the experience was.

Jimi H.

Yelp
Patience is a virtue and is required at Nine-Eleven Tavern. Jimi says it'll be worth the wait. Be like peak Le'Veon Bell waiting for a hole to open up. Patient. Remember that running style? And how about the cast of characters on those Pittsburgh teams?!?!? Bell and Antonio Brown. Think we need to give Coach Tomlin and Big Ben a little more credit for what they got done. Look at me. Talking Pittsburgh sports on a review for a Buffalo bar!?!? What a yinzer! Let's shift gears to the Bills. What's going on there? I think they'll get it right folks. Jimi's lock of the week is Bills over Bucs on Thursday night football. Wings are really good. 5 stars

Dick F.

Yelp
Family of 8 for drinks and food. 911 would not seat us. Tables were open., too! Who says no to hundreds of dollars? On a Tuesday night?? Booooo!

Brenda B.

Yelp
I came here with some friends as some of us had not been here before and heard good things. I was disappointed in the wings and service. The wings were nothing special at all. I ordered hot wings to share with a couple people and they were not hot at all. Also, since we ordered a triple order, I expected to have ample blue cheese for 30 wings which it was a regular size of blue cheese as you can see in the picture. The waitress said she would bring more but I'm sure for a charge to us. We also all had a soda, some had diet, some regular, which all come out flat and seemed watered down. We complained to the waitress and she just came back with a statement saying they can't do anything about the soda but would bring us something else. We assumed this would be free of charge but as we found out with the bill, she charged us all the other drinks that we wouldn't have ordered if they sodas were up to par, all of which were more expensive than the sodas from the tap. She also charged us for refills which again would have been free if the sodas were good. We didn't say anything with the bill but all left very disappointed with this experience with our drinks. A friend ordered the chicken fingers which I heard were good. They ordered mild but complained they were a bit spicy. I wondered if they got the order wrong for a moment thinking they put the hot sauce on the fingers and the mild sauce on the wings we ordered. I thought the fries were really good although one person at the table didn't like them. They were hand sliced, some thick some thin, great seasoning too. The potato salad was also ordered by someone else and they said it was good. We had to try to split the bill between us all as they wouldn't do separate checks. I also asked the waitress if they had some wet wipes, thinking this is a wing place, and that would be something they provide, she just replied with a flat and very bluntly stated "no". I had to laugh at how she replied to me pretty rudely and the table also commented on her reply and how how she could have been a little friendlier. I found her to not be very accommodating to us at all and not very friendly from the beginning. Just doing her job, no smiles, no extra help. I do remember her being asked by a friend how the potato salad was and it wasn't the reply you'd expect from someone that worked there. She said something like "it's just potato salad" and gave a shrug. All in all, I wouldn't go here again. The wings were nothing special. I would go to Kelly's Korners for some good hot sauce on the good wings.

Joe M.

Yelp
Service is slow and they dont like it when you show up with more than 6 people but the wings are elite.

Joe T.

Yelp
The wings were saucy, crispy and delicious! We went in around dinner time on a Saturday and had to wait but it was worth the wait. These wings are legit great and live up to all of the hype they may have been given. I cannot wait to come back.

Lawrence F.

Yelp
My son is is in town from Lexington Kentucky and he wants wings. We've heard about this place from others who believe that they have the best in town. Well, they are pretty darn good! The place is what you'd describe as a local joint and it is. The ambiance is just that, a local restaurant/bar. Very simple menu but who cares, we wanted wings. The service is excellent and the beer is cold. Can't argue with that. If you're looking for some really good wings, great service in a local establishment this is the place. We would definitely recommend 911 to other chicken wing lovers.

Jim D.

Yelp
Without question the best wings i've ever had. I think just hot, medium or mild, but i like hot and their sauce is awesome, but my wife liked mild and loved them too.Their Fries are awesome too. They're seasoned with garlic but you can get them unseasoned like i do. Such a treat.

Bill B.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing wings. They were cooked perfectly with just the right amount of hot sauce. Definitely a must try place in Buffalo. Go patriots!!

Greg F.

Yelp
I've been to over 30 spots in Greater Buffalo. These were the best. Great size, perfect homemade sauce, and friendly staff. This is the best place to end your search for the best wings in The Buff.

Jared S.

Yelp
I've been meaning to try these wings forever and finally made it and itbwas worth all of the hype. The French fries were sleeper good also. I normally don't order fries but was glad my group ordered them. Bar is on the small side so get there early and remember to bring cash

Jimmy G.

Yelp
Best goddamn wings on the planet. Be patient, it's well worth the wait. Can't believe it took me all these years to get here

Melissa M.

Yelp
I married into a Buffalo family, and after 10+ years of getting wings every time I visit and visiting nearly every other popular wing place in town, I can say this is absolutely the #1 spot for wings. Fries are delightful, too. There's not much else on the menu. The wing sauce is available for purchase & so phenomenal, I buy it everytime we're in town (I think they frequently sell out). Fun fact: while they now sell the sauce in their own containers, we used to have to bring in empty jars for them to fill with sauce. I only wish I liked more on their beer list - but the A++ wings more than make up for any shortfall in drinks. It's divey and small and slow but I've never been in much of a rush to care.

Eric M.

Yelp
This is a cool little place. I've been hearing the buzz about Nine-Eleven for years. We were in the general area...and hungry, so we decided to give it a shot. There were a couple tables open when we entered. Our order was taken very quickly. The menu was very small (maybe streamlined due to COVID?), but we pretty much just wanted wings so we were good. Okay, we also ordered the fries. Unfortunately a group of folks arrived just before us. They decided to order 120 wings. The waitress apologized for the delay in our order...and joked about the group, saying they won't even be able to eat that many wings. The pretty much hogged the fryers for some time w/ their order. BTW...she was right, she later told us they took more than half the wings home with them. Rookies! The fries arrived first. OMG, they were delicious. They were obviously fresh cut and seasoned amazingly. I could have eaten the mound of fries myself, but we still had wings to come. It took a while longer, but we finally got our wings!! They didn't disappoint. I always order medium (I like flavor, and want to be able to taste my wings w/o having my face burned off). I really enjoyed them. I think everyone else did too. I'm happy we visited Nine-Eleven. I took pix, but due to the dark nature of the tavern (and it being night) they didn't do the wings & fries justice.

Carlo P.

Yelp
Still one of the best wing spots with great sauce! Not how it used to be pre COVID but still great place.

Gary Z.

Yelp
You must dine at the Nine Eleven Tavern if you haven't yet. All of the food here is amazing but the chicken wings are extraordinary and worth the wait. Just ask the people who are waiting because they can't get enough of them and this is the only place that you can experience their legendary and unique sauce. Bring extra money because it's cash only and you're going to want to buy a bottle to take it home with you! Must try the Finn Fries also! You're welcome in advance!

William M.

Yelp
I just went there because they have been on my list for wings. I loved the old South Buffalo tavern. The wings were unbelievable. Nice sauce but not too much. Great size too. I'm going back!!

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
I think Nine-Eleven can go by the slogan "Come for the food, wait for the food, and come back not so regularly" First off, we came in at 4:40 pm on Saturday when it opens at 4:30. To offer some transparency, the waitress said she could seat us but the kitchen was already backed up 45 minutes. I'm not sure if trying to shoo away business is the best approach, but we came there FOR wings, so we'd wait. We ordered as soon as we could to ensure we were next on the cook's line of orders. Standard 50 wings, an order of fries, and a corned beef sandwich, and then proceeded to wait for about an hour plus for this. I understand it's a small kitchen. I assume they have one cook, one fryer, and one speed. The wings came out as expected. Great crisp, true BUFFALO, NY style with the right amount of sauce, flavor, blue cheese and celery. The fries were actually incredible as well. They are not so much a shoe string, as a thick cut of potato and they seem to have some sort of light garlic flavor. The Hot wings offer more than just heat. There is a nice flavor to them which is always welcome. Hot shouldn't mean burn your tongue and tough it out, it should have an actual taste to it. Cash only.. so Bring some dollars. I'll be back but with full preparation for the same atmosphere/service/waiting.

Allison B.

Yelp
Hot wings: I tasted a strong (not unpleasant) vinegar flavor and then spicy! My husband, who loves vinegar and sour things thought they were a bit sweeter but still some of the best wings we've had! Quality cheesy- bleu cheese too! Corn beef: BEST corn beef we've ever had! Sandwich came on untoasted rye bread with a fantastic horseradish spread! Fries: delicious pub fries but a bit greasy for my taste Total for 10 wings, cornbeef sandwich and 4 bud lights was $40 but it by far some of the best dive, bar food!

Shauna R.

Yelp
Did we wait an hour and a half for our food on a Friday night? Yes. Was it worth it? 100% As long as you're prepared & willing to wait for your wings, this place is awesome! With the owner working his tail off in the back making each order, it makes sense why there's a wait on weekends. Of course people's wing preferences are different, but personally we LOVED these wings. Crispy as ever, saucy but not just with a buttery flavor, these really are my favorite medium wings in buffalo now. This is really a must for anyone trying wings all over buffalo!

Nicole F.

Yelp
do not go here if you have more than 6 people. they will not accommodate you. they won't even let you split up your party and go on separate checks. apparently it is their policy. We will never go back. And funny enough we ran into another family who is facing the same issue. We took our business to black throne pub.

Charlynn R.

Yelp
My review is heavily based on the food. Be warned it is a VERY long wait here. On a Friday we waited 45 min or so for a table then like 2 hours at our table for food. That being said - If you've got the time and are with great company to pass the time it's worth a trip in at least once to check out these amazing wings. We started with a side of fries which are hand cut and seasoned - garlic was definitely involved and I was not mad at all. They were pretty good. Finally the wings came out and they were glorious. We got the Hot. They were saucy, tangy, and had the perfect kick of spice. The side of blue cheese is generous and they charge extra for more but honestly 1 cup should be enough. Overall I give these wings 9/10

Pat M.

Yelp
Returned on a Wednesday for a single order of wings, they were crispy, tender and flavorful. Staff was attentive and personable. Would definitely return, but only at off times

John C.

Yelp
The wings were top notch, the facility was a little shady, but everyone knows that is where you get the best food. The fries were hot and plentiful,I did not leave hungry. I will return again next time I am in town! If I could rate it higher I would.

Finally made it here to check out these wings everyone talks so highly about. Arrived around 7:30 on a Friday evening and to our surprise, there wa no wait. Menu is small, but has all the necessities. I admittedly am not a chicken wing lover, so I ordered the cheese burger, which is not a mistake! It was big, served on a good roll and the fries served with it are some of the best fresh cut I've ever had. I did have a few wings and they were good, but a certain place in East Aurora still has my heart. They were nice and crispy. I'm a flat wing gal and I noticed that the flats were smaller in size when compared to the drums. Everyone at the table was pleased with wings and thought the amount of heat was just right. A double order of wings is .05 more than 2 singles...so order 2 singles! We did wait a long time for the food as other reviewers have mentioned. If you have the time, it's definitely worth checking out! I can see how it would be a favorite for people.

Yelp
First time trying this place and was unprofessional. I came in for a party of 4, however I had to stand there for 20 minutes until the rest of my party comes until we could sat down. We ordered 20 wings, chicken fingers, and fries. The food took an hour and a half... I have never waited that long for tavern food. I was so excited to try this place, but it was just not worth the time. The wings were okay, but not worth the wait. They also don't except credit cards which is an inconvenience

Yelp
Some of the best wings in town, top 3 for me, the wait might take a little longer than expected but the best things come to those who wait, also known for the homemade corned beef sandwich and the freah cut fries, cant wait to go back for medium crispy wings

Yelp
Great wings! Good fries! Great service! My only real gripe was the Coke tasted a bit like it was watered down. Everything else was pretty dang great. Even the patio was really nice on a muggy hot day. The place is not fancy. Its basically a hole in the wall. There is a bar on one side, a small dining area off to the side and a patio with metal tables and chairs off of that. What else do ya need? The famous wings I've been hearing so much about did not disappoint! They do Hot, Medium and Mild. That's it. No BBQ, no garlic parm. Just hot, medium or mild, but the flavor is unlike anywhere else. The sauce has tiny bits of what I imagine is some kind of dehydrated parmesan cheese mixed in. I asked the server and she explained its the owners secret and he'll never tell. I wished for a bit more sauce, which is rare because I typically order wings with light sauce. Try em out! Quite good.

Yelp
Been meaning to try this place for awhile. Got there just a little after open and immediately the wait started building. We avoided it, but don't be in a hurry if you go here. The good news is that the wait is worth it. My wife and I agreed that we think they were the best wings we ever had. We ordered the fries also but I think there was an issue with the spices because they tasted bitter. But we didn't go there for fries so it doesn't affect the score. The wings were great. Cooked perfectly. Great taste. A plus presentation and great service. Will be going back soon

Yelp
I love this place. We went there on a Friday night and we were able to sit in the patio. It was small so we were luck to be able to be seating out there. We ordered wings, pizza kings and fries. The wings are perfectly seasoned and crispy as were the logs and fries. I would have preferred an actual plate instead of little throw away cardboard bowls but I guess that aides to the charm.

Yelp
Showed up at opening. Expected to be really disappointed but what an amazing meal. Fries came out in 20 minutes. There was amazing garlic, salty, smoky flavor that I can't even describe. Wings came out in 45 minutes. What an amazing surprise. I may have a new #1. Just a balance of sweet, sour, salty awesomene with a little nose run on the heat. Side sauce had some amazingly huge chokers in it. Right now 1 hour and 45 after opening, the wait is 2 hours. Just happy I was able to come when I did.

Yelp
I've heard the legends about this place. The hype surrounding the grounds. I was skeptical. Believe the hype. It is real. I love the ambiance. It is a tavern. Decorated just like you think it would be. There are two separate rooms; the bar, where there is a shuffleboard, and the restaurant seating area. My friends and I decided to go right after work on a Tuesday. There were 2 other tables seated, and we became the third. As the night went on, more tables were sat. The waitress was friendly. The wings took about 20 minutes to reach our hands. My mouth was watering, and I was ready to experience and see if other people's opinions were to be respected. Turns out, these wings are good. I'm making a list this year of the best wing places, which will be based on what I like, and Nine-Eleven Tavern will be in my top 10. I don't know where, but they were good. I had the medium sauce and ordered the wings extra crispy. I will be back again.

Yelp
It's just the best wings in America. Easily 5 stars. Should be 10 out of 5. I recommend you get there as soon as it opens.

Yelp
I really had a hard time rating this place. Based on food alone it would receive 5 stars no doubt. Sure the menu is very limited to wings, fingers, a few appetizers and a burger I think cover most of it, but boy do they do a good job with what they do make. We went with some friends and ordered a hot wings, medium wings, medium fingers and an order of chicken wing dip. It was all superb. I was a bit nervous as BBQ wings are my fav and my go to, but here they stick to the basics, mild, medium and hot, and I was pleasantly surprised with what I found. The wings were everything you could imagine for a wing, crispy and well cooked the perfect amount, but not overdone, meaty, juicy and very saucy. My friends raved about the hot wings, but I am more of a wimp, but the medium wings were perfect for me, tangy and delicious. The chicken fingers were superb as well which is saying a lot because I rarely eat chicken fingers, especially when wings are offered, but wow were theirs fantastic. It really must be the tangy and delicious sauce which sets them apart but the chicken itself was also really good. So why was this place so hard to rate? Well as mentioned in many comments there were a number of small factors that tarnished the otherwise 5 star rating. The service left a lot to be desired, our waitress wasn't friendly or very attentive, the food was slow, as many have described I heard they only have like 1 fryer, I was there to hang with friends and wasn't overly hungry so I didn't mind too much but it is worth noting if you are hungry and planning on attending. I also ordered a mixed drink and was asked small or tall. The waitress said the tall came in a pint glass and I decided to go with that, when she came back with my drink it was in a small glass, definitely not pint size. Not a huge deal, but still kind of annoying, all she said was oh the bartender must not have heard me when I said tall. Later when she asked me if I wanted a second drink I had to wonder would I pay the price for two smalls? Probably more than a tall. Another small annoyance was our bill gave a total amount but did not include a list of all the things we ordered. It seemed close to what I had anticipated, so i'm not at all trying to say that they were trying to scam us or anything, but still I like to see everything laid out. I enjoy a good dive bar and the seating area was fine for me, I value food and the company of good friends to decor, but the place did seem like it could use a bit of a facelift, the bathroom in particular left a lot to be desired, in fact when I went in I decided I could wait until I got home rather than use it. The place is also cash only so know that going in. I do try to carry a small bit of cash on me, but i'm used to paying everything with credit card, good thing my husband had cash on him. A very small parking lot, most parking is find your own on the street. Despite all of these minor frustrations this place still gets 4 starts which really says something about the food. Bottom line, if you want wings or fingers this is the place to go, however, make sure you are prepared for some of the other things that come along with it if you visit nine-eleven tavern.
