Nippon Cha | Williamsburg | Japanese Tea | Coffee & Dessert

This is the best matcha powder I have ever had. I have been buying their powder since in moved to NYC. I hope one day they will expand the location and make larger space for sitting. Also I have been taking my friends who visit to Nippon. They love it as well.

I recently visited Nippon Cha. The food and drinks were good, but I found it overpriced. The cheesecake was really bad, and the place was very small and a bit dirty outside, which was disappointing. I wish they would clean it up. The staff wasn’t very friendly, especially the woman with blond hair. When I asked her a question, she was quite rude. The total bill was over $35, which felt like a rip-off. However, I enjoyed the tiramisu and the drink I ordered. Overall, the food and drink were good, but they need to improve customer service and keep the place cleaner.

Incredible matcha soft serve!!! Seriously, just had it and I’m contemplating turning around and buying another one. The matcha is super authentic and flavorful

Nice cute shop and high quality matcha. It’s hard to come by a place that has good matcha soft serve ice cream. We ordered both the matcha and hojicha flavors. Both were potent and not too sweet. A great treat!

I have frequented Nippon Cha numerous times, and today I indulged in the Kuro Mitsu Matcha Latte, made with brown sugar matcha and hojicha, paired with almond milk. The flavor profile was exceptional; the drink was velvety smooth and provided a wonderfully relaxing experience that elevated my day. However, to enhance the overall experience and achieve excellence, I would recommend monitoring beverage temperatures more closely. During my last visit, the USUCHA I ordered was slightly cooler than ideal. Implementing a thermometer to ensure optimal serving temperatures could significantly enhance the quality and enjoyment of your offerings. If this adjustment is made, I would confidently award Nippon Cha an 11 out of 10.

The presentation of the drinks and food is great. A bit pricey but def worth a try. Good for a nice dessert after lunch or dinner even on a cute date. Staff was nice. I wanted the other tiramisu matcha but they sold out or didn’t have any which is fine. Would come to try for a first time if you haven’t!

Finally found my taste in this place .high quality of matcha and the size is worth with the price . Small place but every sips of matcha surprised me .

What can I say, I mean, I’m Asian, matcha is my thing 😉the host put efforts in every latte she made, she make sure the powder mix with the milk evenly, it takes them more time to make a quality cup, compared to other store in this neighborhood , they worth your trying.
