"A gorgeous new pastry shop, Niveaux Pâtisserie, has landed in North Quincy with artsy, photo-ready creations like a purple-hued ube egg, pistachio tarts, and a black sesame mille-feuille. The Patriot Ledger reports that the shop, led by pastry chef Robert Gonzalez, also serves as a dessert preview of sorts for another highly anticipated project that Gonzalez is involved in: Masons Steak House, a multi-level restaurant located inside Quincy’s old Masonic Temple that is opening this fall." - Erika Adams

I can't resist a good entremet, so I was delighted to see the many colored entremets on display at Niveaux. It was so hard to choose just two, but I had to get my go-to mango passion fruit, and then we chose the chocolate strawberry upon the staff's recommendation. The mango passion fruit was delightfully tart. I've loved every iteration I've had of a mango passion fruit entremet, and this was a memorable one. We were shocked to see chocolate ooze out of the strawberry one once we cut deep enough into it. I didn't like this one quite as much as it was more one-note, but it was still good. Overall I'll definitely be back to try more entremets next time I'm in Quincy!

Google
This is a lovely little bakery. Breakfast/Brunch options are great. I had a brilliant piece of quiche, which was huge! Coffee is also good, and their selection of sweet treats is seriously impressive, and everything looks great. On another visit, I tried two of their croissants. The pistachio and the hazelnut chocolate. Two was a mistake, they are so delicious but my word are they big and stuffed full of sugar!

Google
We went into here interested to see how much better it would be then any other bakery. So many bakeries say they are authentic French pastry blah blah....the pastries are absolutely phenomenal. Saying the dough is flaky, does it a serious disservice. The dough is fresh and the fillings aren't overly sweet which was a nice surprise. The fruit danish was a touch more dense than everything else, but given the amount of fruit and cream you get, it's understandable why that is. The lemon Meyer dessert with blueberry filling and earl grey cake was an absolute delight. Again not overly sweet and just a perfect touch of lemon. Initially was turned off by the prices before going. Every bite was worth every penny and won't hesitate to go back. To top it off, the service was incrediblely good. Zady was our table server and she was super helpful making suggestions. There was another girl behind the counter that we didn't get her name but both of them were on top of everything.

Google
Delicious pastries and coffee! High standard on quality. Enjoyed everything that was ordered. Overwhelming amount of options for coffee, tea, pastries and brunch food. Will be back for sure to try more.

Google
Easter Egg – Orange Paradise, Tropical Escape: 5 stars – My Taste Buds Just Took a Vacation I wasn’t ready. I thought I was biting into a regular Easter egg, but this thing is basically a holiday in chocolate form. The "Orange Paradise" part? More like orange party in my mouth. Zesty, sweet, and probably what sunshine tastes like if sunshine were edible. Then boom—Tropical Escape. I don’t know what magic Niveaux used, but one bite and suddenly I’m wearing flip-flops, and there's ’s a tiny umbrella in my drink (in my head, not my kitchen—I checked). P.S. May or may not have hidden it from my family and eaten it in the closet like a feral squirrel. No regrets.

Google
Cute shop, fast service as well as nice. Food was way better than expected I was in awe. Got the mango thing and strawberry croissant they were so creamy and they didn't taste old or stale at all

Great place! We had brunch and bought some baked goods and pastries with us. Excellent! Love it! We will be back!

Google
We stopped in for brunch on a Saturday and we had a great experience. We enjoyed a savory chicken sandwich and specialty croissant each. We also enjoyed their lemonade and iced coffee. Can't wait to return.

Yelp
Such delicious treats! At first glance it might seem pricy but the portions are huge and quality is superb! I love that the croissants were still flaky after leaving it out all day. The best part is that after eating all these sweets, I wasn't left with the "after yucky artificial" taste. Fyi; these are best to be shared

Robina C.

Yelp
The pastries were delicious!! I haven't tried the food yet just the pastry. The service was so good, smile when you go into the store and the wait service is impressive. The shop is beautifully decorated and high end. This is what I would imagine in a California pastry shop. I can't wait to get back there to try something new and maybe some food.

Yelp
The pistachio croissant warrants the 5 star review alone. I will dream of this croissant and aim to come back here the next time I am in the neighborhood just for the croissant. Keeping in mind the plain, chocolate and Ube croissants were also delicious. It's been a month and since I saved the above review and can confirm the pistachio haunts my dreams a month later. Location is convenient and walkable for the area. The store is so cute (though advise moving the cashier away from the immediate doorway).

Yelp
Did someone say brunch? I love me some bunch and a Parisian brunch too. How cute that Quincy has a little place serving up some approachable French items. From all the savory and sweet croissants to quiches and eye-catching pastries. I came for the brunch items so I wanted all the croissants! My eye was on the ham and cheese and this delightful item had cheese overflowing and plenty of ham on a buttery and flakey croissant. I got the brunch platter as well and this dish was simple and decent. I used one of the eggs and added it to the ham and cheese croissant. YUM! I'm going to have to come back and try the sweets. That is something to look forward to.

Yelp
Looks like Niveaux moved in with YoCha (which I also love), so you're getting yourself into a dangerous & delicious situation if you have a sweet tooth! The bakery selection is amazing!! Came through during spooky season, so there were a few Halloween themed desserts. Tried the blueberry eclair and their skull-shaped sesame mousse, filled with a raspberry jam. For drinks, the iced pistachio latte (which they decorated with syrup and a healthy handful of pistachio chunks) and the iced ube latte. Pricing was about $9 each for desserts, drinks around $6 each. Seating set up is simple, but there's a lot of natural lighting. Staff is pleasant. There is street parking. They were also playing Afrobeats, which was a major mood booster for me. Happy music, clever desserts, and well-done caffeinated drinks -- I don't need much else! If you're in the Quincy area, this is a must-try.

Yelp
If there was half star I would rated 3.5 stars. The place was packed on a Sunday afternoon. The display cases were filled with yummy and pretty pastries. Prices are a bit steep but that's everywhere else. It's lively and noisy, don't expect a quiet & intimate place to have high tea. I tried a few pastries, 5 to be exact. The mango yuzu danish was my fave. Ube croissant was yummy and the rest were okay. I want to try other flavored croissants next time I come back.

Yelp
Niveaux is paradise for croissant lovers - these are among the flakiest I've ever had and there are so many sweet and savory options to choose from. They are all beautifully decorated and baked like little pieces of art. The place is counter service and gives off the vibe of a higher end cafe. Along with croissants there are a number of different loaves of bread and assortment of little cakes that you can also purchase. The focus is on French pastries. Prices are on the high side though. I also ordered an iced latte but it took awhile for it to be ready. The latte was ok but if you are in a hurry you may want to skip.

Yelp
Great addition to the Quincy bakery scene! It's conveniently located inside Yocha. We tried their Ube egg and Ube croissant. I think visually the egg was stunning, but the texture of the ube mousse was oddly grainy. I didn't enjoy the jelly filling either, it tasted like it had too much gelatin. The Ube croissant was way better - the flakiness was great and the Ube filling was delicious and not too sweet. Niveaux pastries are a bit expensive ($8 for a croissant) but you're paying for the quality ingredients and unique flavors which makes it worth.

Yelp
Niveaux is a new French/Asian artisan patisserie that had just opened up in North Quincy (inside of Yocha). I had stopped by in the early morning and got to try out a variety of their croissants/cakes/pastries and they were delicious! I love that they have a lot of new trendy Asian inspired flavors like Ube, Yuzu, Kalamansi, and Black Sesame which i'm a huge fan of. I also read that the main pasty chef here had been on a couple different food network shows in the past which is pretty cool. If there's one item that i think you must absolutely get here, it is their "Ube Egg" cake. The combination of the ube mousse, matcha sponge cake, and blackberry gelatin was AMAZING. The Yuzu and Ube filled croissants very also tasty. They use French imported butter and you can taste the difference (their croissants have a fuller, richer, deeper buttery profile to them). I did however wish that the croissants had a bit more crackle to them but they were still wonderfully laminated and flaky nevertheless. The fillings were on the thinner side compared to Lakon but i personally prefer the fillings here a lot more! I thought the fillings were done so well that i think they can even explore making some new menu items with them (e.g some sort of Ube cream filled muffin similar to the cream style filled muffins that Gingerbread Construction in Winchester is known for). Looking forward to come back so that i can try out some of the other potential goodies here!

Yelp
This is such a cute little bakery and café in North Quincy. It's located where Yocha used to be right on Hancock Street. The desserts are not only beautiful but delicious! I've stopped by a couple times already and can't wait to come back and try more desserts. It has been busy since they opened, but the line moves quickly. The staff is super friendly and attentive, too.

Michelle T.

Yelp
I came into this store on a Tuesday at 8PM, one worker greeted me (seemed ready to take my worder) and then one told me they were closed... so I don't know what happened there. Their website says 9PM. Felt uncomfortable as they seemed to rush us out when we tried to take a look (pretty sure they weren't closing...) Store wasn't busy and they still had Yocha sign up outside so I thought it was still there but it's now a new patisserie/ coffee shop.

Jimmy N.

Yelp
What a nice addition to North Quincy! Known for their delicious croissants, this French Asian inspired bakery is located inside of Yocha on Hancock street. I don't do sweets but I knew I definitely had to give a couple pastries a try. Croissants were buttery and tasteful. I had their Ube Ice coffee. I'll definitely be getting that again when I come back. Unfortunately didn't get to try their Ube croissants because those sell out quick. So make sure you come early to try those. Overall, definitely give them a try. You may think it's pricey but I'm telling you, it's worth it because they use only the best high quality ingredients. Butter imported from France? that's legit!

Yelp
If you're a coffee lover, this place is an absolute must-visit! The drinks are amazing, rich, smooth flavors that hit the spot every time. I ordered the pistachio latte and absolutely addicted! The pastries are equally impressive--fresh, soft, and just the right balance of sweetness. Perfect for pairing with your drink. Service can be a bit slow when it gets busy, but honestly, absolutely worth the wait. Staff is friendly, space is clean, though on the smaller side, and it fills up quickly, be prepared for it to get crowded. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Welcome to a new addition to French patisserie in the Quincy area. Even the items are limited compared to Paris Baguette and Tous Les Jours. Niveaux tends to focus on selling croissants and desserts. I stopped by after work, so the items are limited but have different varieties. I brought dulce de leche chocolate and Ube croissants, but there was too much filling inside, making them small, even if they were flaky. I will try the original croissant next time; hopefully, it will be as good without fillings. Also, I brought the ube egg and panna cotta, which is okay, but I wish they could do better packing. They need to use double-sided tape to attach the dessert to the box so it does not move around when carrying it, or they need to use different sizes of the box for the packing. I will return to try other items since they seem to offer different items each day for desserts.

Steven W.

Yelp
Located in Quincy inside YoCha as they are the same owners but one section is the patisserie and one is the YoCha drinks and desserts. This is relatively new as they serve pastries from sweet and savory and they offer plenty of indoor dining.

Oanh H.

Yelp
Niveaux has such an open and welcoming space. Plenty of tables to sit and enjoy tea with pastries. It's hard to find canele and madeleines outside of Cambridge. The canele has a beautiful chewy texture outside and the custard like center is just delicious. Their madeleines have a wonderful soft texture inside and crisp edges. The tropical escape entremet is not too sweet and looks beautiful too.

Yelp
Came here as I was passing by the area and was glad I made the pit stop! Parking was easy, I was able to find a lot of free street parking on a Saturday. Coming in, there was a luxurious ambiance. The place was very neat and clean, which made it a very comfortable setting. I ordered some items to try and they were all so delicious! Sweet croissants I tried were the pistachio, ube, dulce de leche, and white chocolate yuzu. The filling inside complemented the buttery croissant. It was not too sweet, which is always a plus. They're also very generous with the filling, which gave the entire croissant some extra flavor. I also tried the savory danishes. One had peaches on it and the other was the caramelized bacon and egg danish.. yum!! Such a great breakfast treat to start off the day. Last two things I got were the cherry blossom desserts and the creamsicle macarons. Macarons were nice and thick- crispy shell with and chewy inside. The cherry blossom was so luxurious and always worth trying! I highly recommend coming to try their selection! I will definitely return to try their other items.

Yelp
Wow. My son loves croissants and is VERY picky. He loved it. I had the almond croissant and it was exceptional. Many places skimp on the almond paste but not Niveaux. I also had a pistachio latte which was so good and a pistachio tart. Not too sweet- perfect. Ambiance is great. Plenty of seating. Staff very efficient and orderly. You can tell they love what they do and take it seriously

Shelby B.

Yelp
We just did a preorder pick up but we loved the pastries and we are looking forward to going back and trying more!

Killian C.

Yelp
This place is really great if you are just grabbing a gourmet pastry. They don't offer much else besides these pastries however it is a pastry shop. When I went I got a caramel latte and wasn't asked how I would want it. When it came out it was extremely sweet to the point I couldn't drink it. My girlfriend got a pistachio coffee and the straw got clogged instantly from the nuts. The ambience is nice since as it's a quite shop it's located right in downtown north Quincy on a busy street. I would recommend stopping by for a pastry but not a coffee.

Thanh L.

Yelp
Stop by Quincy Newest French Patisserie to Replace YoCha in North Quincy @niveaux.patisserie. Tried their Golden Mango which I overheard the staff say it was delicious. It was a beautiful work of art. It is a shame that I had to eat it. The layering inside was perfect. You can taste how sweet, moist, Succulent, sweet, and aromatic it is . It was $9 but worth every penny. Definitely worth a try

Angelica D.

Yelp
Walked into the cutest patisserie!! It's bright, airy, and cleanS The moment you walk in, you're greeted by friendly staff who are willing to give you suggestions and help you. I ordered pretty much every dessert. I really love the santa rosa plum and espresso martini. After trying every pastry, except the pistachio, I can confidently say you can't go wrong. I also got the ube latte and it didn't disappoint. It was the right amount of ube but wasn't a weak latte. Picked up a couple of croissants and word is they import products from France to perfect the croissants! ;) I will definitely be coming back for a pistachio latte!

So S.

Yelp
We're so lucky to have this amazing bakery in Quincy! Their desserts are not only stunning but absolutely delicious, and their croissants are to die for. We ordered a custom Minecraft cake with tiramisu filling, and it was a huge hit--our guests couldn't stop asking for the bakery's name. The service is so friendly, and the croissants with gold trim are an absolute must-try! Beautiful cafe ambiance that makes you want to just hang there for an entire day.

Huynh N.

Yelp
Fall in love with how the cake taste and looks. Highly reccommend to try the Golden Mango and Chocolate Slice. The service is nice as well. I asked a couple questions about how the cake is made of and the guy talked about it with passion, which I assume he is the owner or manager.

Tommy V.

Yelp
croissants are delicious here! i did not even realized yocha got replaced rip but loving the new bakery. ube ice coffee was mid so just stick with the croissants. they are a bit pricey but worth it

Amanda L.

Yelp
Wow! Gorgeous and delicious. You can tell from the first bite that the croissant dough is the real deal. Everything was as delicious as possible. We loved the beautiful leather seats and marble tables with floral accents in the center. Have your order "for here" and they'll serve it to you on real plates with flatware at your table. We tried the strawberry yuzu danish, goat cheese and prosciutto and fig croissant, and the canele. Fabulous. Thrilled to have this bakery here! And they still serve the YoCha menu after 4pm. Best of both worlds.

Deborah F.

Yelp
Omg!! Sooo good. Having a prosciutto, fig jam, goat cheese & micro greens croissant. Got a plain & dulce de leche too. Pastries l-r: hazelnut, pistachio/raspberry tart, plum panna cotta. Right off Rte 3. Parking on street. Check it out. Omg!! Sooo good. Having a prosciutto, fig jam, goat cheese & micro greens croissant. Got a plain & dulce de leche too. Yelp
Right when you walk in you can see that it's a very spacious cafe with lots of chairs. I had a stroller and was able to squeeze in perfectly. I did the tea service only and hand picked my own pastries. The person at the front answered all of my questions and knew all of the ingredients for each pastry (I didn't know they had a menu with the ingredients listed below) and was even able to suggest which tea I should get (which was something I've never had before but now I love it). She was very sweet and attentive. My tea set was absolutely beautifu and all of the pastries that I picked out tasted amazing. I'm from Boston and I took the train all the way here and I was no disappointed. I'll definitely be back at least once or every other week

Emily C.

Yelp
The snack sized canele was amazing! Super crunchy on the outside and perfectly spongy inside. All their pastries looked beautiful and creative.

anita A.

Yelp
The croissants are good, flaky and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The other item I tried today was a hazelnut paris best and it was awful. I told the cashier and a girl with black hair and fake lashes who I have seen twice already (w/ an RBF the two times I have seen her), but they didn't try to accomodate the bad "paris best" pastry. It was hard textured and with a lack of better words -- not good. It felt and tasted like these were 2 day old pastries sitting there.

Will B.

Yelp
Excited to have a new French patisserie in Quincy, but moderately disappointed once trying. Big fan of Jimmy Liang's restaurants and think he's great for pushing the Quincy food scene forward. Store is nice and clean. Staff is friendly. Coffee is great. Pastries look amazing but taste meh. And the prices are egregious for Paris let alone Quincy. Overall makes me miss Cafe Madeleine in the South End where pastries were fresher and more classic, and prices were as much as half. Pastries felt to be a day old (croissant slightly stale, eclair a bit soft). Hoping that increased volume with the opening of Mason's allows for fresher pastries and a recalibration of prices.

Dawn S.

Yelp
I had a prosciutto and fig croissant that was amazingly delicious. Along with it I had the pistachio latte which I keep thinking about because it was so good.

Sarah W.

Yelp
Found this bakery a few days ago and decided to give it a try. The croissant and other bakeries i got was very good. The latte was so so. I only gave two stars was the bad service (would only give 1 star if the croissant was not so tasty). The girl who had long fake lashes took my order and made my drink was rude, non patient and glared at me like I did something wrong. Making me uncomfortable!

Wendy C.

Yelp
Not to mention that this place has delicious and pretty dessert / pastries , their mango pastry is flavorful packed with the sweetness of fresh mango and aroma of baked goods. What more special is their super nice staffs, I left something by mistake at the counter, after I left the restaurant, a staff chased me across the street to give it back to me. Thank You! I will definitely visit the place again. I will miss Yocha but more so looking forward of what Niveax will bring us.

Tine M.

Yelp
It was our first visit here and it exceeded all expectations! The croissants , pastries and lattes were phenomenal. My absolute favorite was the pistachio croissant. The service was incredible with amazing staff. Will definitely be frequenting this spot!

KC ..

Yelp
Same vibe as old Yocha. Looks like the new pastry team just took over counter space. Pastries are small and very expensive and even if they have higher quality ingredients, it's not like most people can tell the difference. Pretty to take photos of though and post on your Instagram. Come here to try the two bite pastries and post on social media but head over to the other two French style bakeries if you plan to buy in bulk.
