The 20 Best Restaurants & Bars In Singapore 2024

"Most people don’t equate Singapore with good Mexican food. But if anybody questions why you’re going to Nixta for dinner and not another hawker centre, all it takes is one course for their opinion to change faster than they can say “tuna tostada.” Getting a reservation here requires some planning, but everything on the menu is great—go for tlayudas made with fresh ground masa tortillas, the killer duck barbacoa, and their Nixta Old Fashioned that’s made with tequila instead of whiskey. Enjoy it all in the warm space that’s constantly buzzy and slightly smoky, like how we imagine Matthew McConaughey’s ranch. " - anthony eu

Nice place serving fusion Mexican food that are on the higher price. Overall food was pretty good and service was fast and friendly as well. What I didn't like was the place is so noisy and I could barely hear my friend talking to me who was seated across me. They need to put in more soft furnishings to absorb the echo and sound from multiple people talking loudly. Felt like I was eating in a crowded and noisy market.

Wow! This restaurant exceeded all our expectations. From the first bite to the last, the food was absolutely delicious. Each dish was a burst of flavor, and you can tell that only the freshest ingredients were used. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, always making sure our glasses were full and our needs were met. The ambiance was charming, with a lovely mix of modern and classic decor that made the dining experience even better. This is the kind of place where you make memories over great food and even better company. Can’t wait to return!

Delicious Mexican food! Great flavour combinations and spice kick! The Churros were so soft and fluffy! It was an enjoyable dinner and we coincidentally came during happy hour so we could enjoy their tacos at happy hour price. Service was good, the waiters were very attentive. Food was served quickly and hot out of the kitchen.

Overall, we enjoyed our dinner. We started with tortilla chips with guacamole. The guacamole was creamy and salty. We love the salty cheese on top of the guacamole. Nice touch. The chips were thick and fresh. We loved the pork taco. It was smoky and seasoned just right. But not so much the fish tacos because it was slightly fishy. The blue corn tortillas were good because they're freshly made. We also ordered the Blue Crab Tlayuda (kinda of like thin tortilla). The sauce is lovely, with a little spice kick. But the blue Crab, again, was slightly fishy. We finished off with the churros, which was lovely with 2 dipping sauces. The restaurant also gave us fried ice cream for our 20th year anniversary. Very sweet indeed. We love their service. But we didn't quite like the acoustic of the restaurant. It was so noisy. Oh, the margarita on the rocks were amazing. It was simply divine. We would love to come back to try the rest of the menu, especially during happy hour

Food was good. Place was very clean and decor was great. Service was good. Recommend the roast chicken as it was the star of the meal. Tomahawk was average.

From the seabass tacos to the tres leches cake, we were pretty bowled over by Nixta. Of course, a couple of tequila shots certainly made all that food go down easier too :) Just wished that the duck in hoja santa leaf could have been a tad bit more tender. Nevertheless, all the flavours danced across our palates, both warm and acidic. We especially enjoyed the rib-eye fajitas and feather-crisp churros. Chef's kiss! Nixta is cosy and certainly quite a delight for the senses.

Ay, Dios Mio! We came here after a great review from a friend who lives and breathe Mexican food, and we were not disappointed! After tried so many Mexican joints in SG, Nixta really blows everyone away. The handmade purple corn tortillas here are next level 🔥 Highly recommend: - Tlayuda de la Casa (aka Mexican corn pizza) is so unexpectedly delicious, and I’m not even a huge fan of 🌽 - Duck barbocoa taco. The meat is so tender and soft. The herbs and spices are fresh and come together beautifully. - Fish taco. Perfectly spiced barramundi fish with cilantro. - Churros double dipped in chocolate and goat milk was just a holyshit moment for me. The churros are light, crispy and not oily. They taste as good as the ones I had in Spain 👌 The vibes is half casual half bougie. It’s nice to experience the unexplored higher end Mexican food. Will return!

Really nice ambience and great service! They also surprised us with an additional complimentary dessert with candle lit when we already ordered one for the birthday girl. I will come again when they have a wider selection of Mexican food as the choice of food is pretty limited!
