No Name Pub - Review - Miami - The Infatuation

"No Name Pub will make you thankful for your GPS, because without it, you’d probably never find this classic Florida dive bar and restaurant, where every millimeter of wallspace is covered by an old dollar bill stapled to the wall by customers. It’s a great place to stop for a beer and a burger to celebrate the fact that you are now less than an hour away from Key West. Just don’t forget to bring a dollar bill of your own to add to the wall. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Ryan Pfeffer

27 Best Things to Do in the Florida Keys

"No Name Pub, with its offbeat nature and unexpected location, is indeed “a nice place if you can find it,” as its motto promises. With nearly 100 years of history to its name, this Big Pine Key staple remains little-known and tricky to find." - Travel + Leisure Editors

Pizza crust was amazing. Rest of the pizza was a pretty normal pizza. We had the Hawaiian and the meats. It was super cool seeing all of the dollar bills and reading some of the different ones. Very strong pub vibes inside and they mostly played country music. Service was good.

We always stop at No Name Pub on our way to Key West, and as locals, is often. The food is always quick, great portion sizes, and amazing. We typically do just a couple appetizers, but since we were staying in Key West for the night decided to do lunch. Kelly was super quick with the waters which I definitely appreciate and when she noticed I was low, was on it before I could ask. This is simple, but something many restaurants lack. I got the Kentucky bourbon burger while my husband got the pulled pork sandwich. My burger was perfectly done, LAYERED with toppings, and full of flavor but the silver dollar potato fries were my favorite! Very nicely seasoned and a large portion. My husband devoured his pulled pork sandwich and was full hours later, but he also enjoyed the coleslaw. Again, food was VERY quick. I think we were in and out within an hour while thoroughly enjoying our time and feeling satisfied. My only complaint were the staff conversations this trip and it’s not really a complaint, but future advice. The store worker mentioned the Trump meme coin and went on and on for nearly half our time there about her political views - something not every diner will agree with. People are there to eat and not hear her opinions and distaste for the politics. I give it to Kelly yet again, she made it a point to acknowledge her co-worker while slipping out of the conversation entirely which I really admired.

Google
Kelly was are bartender and truly amazing! Her personality and recommendations were perfect! She treated us like family! Even took us out the patio to show us a deer! This will be an annual stop! Get the smoked fish dip! Delicious! Next time we will get the pizza!

Went to the legendary No Name Pub in Big Pine Key—the place that’s so hidden, I thought I was being lured into a pirate-themed prank. But no, it’s real. It’s famous. And I was hungry. Let’s talk food: it was… fine. Not bad, not great, just kind of there—like a supporting actor in a movie where the lead role is played by the Key lime pie, which absolutely stole the show. Tart, creamy, and sweet enough to make you forgive your meal for being forgettable. Now the atmosphere? 10/10. It’s got that authentic “Florida Keys meets roadside treasure map” energy. Walls covered in dollar bills, locals who may or may not be in witness protection, and the kind of rustic charm that makes you want to drink a beer at noon and buy a boat. Would I go back? Probably. For the pie and the vibes. Just don’t come expecting a Michelin star—come for a Florida Keys experience in its purest, quirkiest form.

Google
This place is awesome. Great food and service. Ordered the Royal Pub Pizza. Delicious. Our waitress Laura was absolutely fabulous! Full of laughs and good times and very accommodating. Even took the time to take a picture for us. Don’t forget the purchase the legendary mugs.

Google
Fantastic out of the way place with pub foods plus about everything else. We got the Royal Pub Pizza and it was delicious! Our server Katie was absolutely amazing!!! Super personable and efficient. Checked on us often.

Google
We had lunch at No Name Pub on Big Pine Key, it was a wonderful lunch! We both had Kentucky Bourbon Burgers, they were large, cooked just right, and tasted delicious. The homemade fries are something special. The No Name beer was ice cold and so smooth and tasty. We sat at the bar, Abby the bartender is the sweetest, the service was top notch! Abby also served food to the tables and worked the merch store, she is amazing! It’s a fun atmosphere too! No Name Pub is on our list of favorite places!

Google
Yep, We Found It! No Name Pub was a great place to stretch & unwind from our road trip from Miami to Key West. The food & drinks were great, the service was even better and it had a very fun atmosphere. Dolla bills everywhere, Love these place that let you put your name on bills and tack them to the walls, ceiling, etc. Makes you feel like you're part of the decor. even the roads that take you there are cool, stopped by a little roadside park to see some alligators on the way. Pretty neat for us Michiganders! It was great entertainment and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend a visit!

Yelp
We found it!!!!! Saw key deer on the way. No diving off the stool is no joke. Meet some great people, pizza to go too. Worth the adventure.

Yelp
I haven't been here in about 10 years but man, what a decline. The pizza is terrible and $35/pie The fish dip is mayo and water The burgers had a strange taste $20 for chicken fingers?!? We went for the pizza and were so disappointed versus what this place was in the late 90s and early 2000s. And it was empty which was the first sign. Service was good and the staff really try, nothing against them - but the new owners lost the vibe.
google avatar

Jana A.

Yelp
We had a weird experience. Walked up to the door saw a sign that said wait for hostess. So, we did. She eventually came out and said "go around back and wait". Another couple was already there, said they had been there for 20 min and the hostess never came out. Finally she did and said "I can seat you at the bar" They said fine and went in, she never said a word to us. So, we wait for 15 min and started noticing cars pulling in the parking lot and people walking going in through an unmarked entrance on the other side of the building. That's when we left. This was a Tuesday late afternoon. I know it's a small place, but they weren't having any problems seating the people from the other parking lot when she knew we were out there? 30 min & no update, apology etc It really felt like they only wanted locals, not out of towners. Which is cool, just don't advertise all over the internet. Wasted our time.

Yelp
Stopped for a beer and key lime pie. Both were excellent! I chose the souvenir glass and it was a cold pint of amber! Dollar bills everywhere sure gives it an unusual and unexpected ambiance. Service was great and timely.
google avatar

Yelp
Glad to come back and revisited after 15 yrs or more. Service great and locals come here. No name Amber beer was amazing and my pina colada made out of wine which is surprisingly good. Fish dips with crackers is delish.

Yelp
We came in for a lunch in mid July. We sat on the patio and had it all to ourselves. Sam was our server and she kept us hydrated with water and whatever else we wanted to drink. The food was amazing and we all had a blast. If you go, ask for Sam!

Yelp
No Name Pub felt like a true experience! From the moment you pull up and see the iconic sign (you found it), you're in for a treat. We were shocked when we walked in and saw the interior- that's a lot of dollar bills! We were told it would be a short wait and spent a few minutes at the outside (but covered) tiki bar before being seating. The staff were all very nice and friendly, holding doors and asking us how our night was going. We ordered and the food came within 10 minutes. The pizza has been called the best pizza in the country, and it was good! A dense, bready crust held mounds of toppings. You could tell it was made there, which I loved. The Cuban and meatball sub were both delicious, and the silver dollar potatoes were incredible- I want all potatoes to be like that from now on! Even if the food was crap, it was worth it to spend some time in this quirky bar. Dollar bills are stapled to every spare piece of real estate and illuminated with Christmas lights. It's an experience! I'm glad we stopped by and could see myself coming all the time if I was a local. It's simple food done really well.

Yelp
Fun vibe! Grab a drink, drop your dollar, get some swag. Support a local business! It's fun!

Yelp
The No Name Pub on Big Pine Key was a side trip on our way to Key West, a friend told us that it was worth the 2 1/2 mile detour. When we were there it was a small local feeling bar with a unique atmosphere thousands of dollar bills hanging from the ceiling inside and a palm tree shaded outdoor dining area, where you can eat, drink and spend some time with the local Key deer. The food was very good and the beer was cold. I highly recommend that if you're heading to Key West make the short side trip for lunch at the No Name Pub.

Yelp
Saturday night at No Name pub , yes we found it . We sat at the bar with Abby as our server and she anticipated our every move , recommended beers , ( no name amber was very good ) and sangria as well as pina colada . We started with best conch fritters I've had in some time , tender with lots of conch . Abby recommends the Thai chili sauce for dipping . We added pizza , pink shrimp key west style for me w extra garlic, and Hawaiian for my bride . Both were excellent, we ordered the 8 inch and couldn't finish them . Before we left we had to add a dollar bill to the thousands stapled to the walls . Just a fun experience

Yelp
Really cool place, was seated inside and it was fun putting a dollar on the wall! i got the cuban and Philly cheesesteak and split them with my brother. ate every bite and left happy. also got a few bites of my sisters gluten free pizza and i'll be honest that was the best gluten free crust i've ever tasted! thought the pizzas looked iffy but i was proven wrong, they make a great pie. also our waitress was the sweetest person ever, amazing service!

Yelp
The Reuben was really good burgers were good, drinks were adequate. You come here for the ambience. If you're in the area, you should go.

Yelp
I have wanted to stop by this out-of-the-way bar for years...FINALLY, I can check this most awesome little dive bar off my list. And, let me tell you it didnt disappoint! They had a very warm and friendly staff greeting us at the door. The bartender was chatty without being overbearing. We sat the bar and ordered up a couple Bloody Mary's and a sidecar of draft beer to share. Very tasty drinks without too much salt and just the perfect amount of tang and spice. The inside seating isn't huge but they have a very large tiki bar out back that I'm sure can get rocking with a big crowd. Interestingly, they have 1000's of one-dollar bills signed and stappled to just about anywhere you can imagine on the physical walls and ceilings of the bar. I'm not sure of why they do this but it seems to be popular with bars in the Keys. Met some nice people there and most especially a former MSU Spartan Football player form the early 1970's. Very cool! GO GREEN!

Yelp
It may have no name (although "No Name" is a name, of sorts) but it's definitely not unknown. This pub/restaurant clearly draws locals and repeat customers. And, surprisingly, it's totally kid friendly. They also have a pretty cool little gift shop inside the front entrance. Incidentally, on your way here, keep an eye out for the petite but very beautiful (and EXTREMELY endangered) Key Deer. There are only a few hundred of these precious animals left on the planet and we saw several of them near the restaurant. They are obviously used to humans and are not scared of people, which probably isn't a good thing. And the No Name Pub is located in Big Pine Key and NOT in No Name Key. I don't believe anyone--other than Key Deer--lives on No Name Key. Expect a wait. I do not believe they take reservations. We waited about 25 minutes or so for our table. We started with the Peel 'n' Eat Shrimp and, aside from having to clean out a couple of them, they were juicy and delicious. Pizzas are definitely a good choice here and the one we got (the Meathead--pepperoni, sausage, ham, meatballs and bacon) was big, hearty, and full of flavor. We ate the whole thing. The No Name Amber on draft was good and cold. Of course, I had to get the souvenir pint glass. Service was friendly and on the spot. Oh, and don't forget to bring a dollar bill and a Sharpie. There are, oh, only about a million dollar bills stapled here there and everywhere inside the restaurant. Leave a little momento of your visit.

Yelp
Legendary pizza spot in true heart of the florida keys. Def off the beaten path but totally worth it! Put ur dollar on the wall, ceiling., wherever & be part of history! If u want to eat in, be prepared to wait. For take out as well so call ahead.

Yelp
This is a fun stop while in the Keys. If I'm not mistaken it's the oldest or one of the oldest bars and it shows by how many dollar bills they have accumulated throughout the years stuck to the walls, ceiling and anywhere else they could fit them. We saw one signed from just two days before we were there. Should have looked more closely to see the oldest one we could find. Maybe a fun game for the next time we're there. The place is small, dimmed, bar in the middle, beer and wine only. Menu is good to find something for everyone but we were recommended the pizza so we went with that. It is made to order, so it takes 25 to 30 mins to get it but worth it. They even have some interesting topping ones if you are feeling adventurous.

Yelp
A must visit! This bar is set on the back of big pine key towards no name key. The bar is decent sized but always full. We had to wait around 45 min for a table on a mid week early afternoon. They have a huge tiki patio area in the back which wasn't fully staffed when we were there but we got to wait there with drinks since we got caught in a downpour. Waitresses were all very nice and were busting their butts serving people. Only exception is the bartender. When we tried to grab drinks while we waited we missed the sign for where to order (I mean the place is covers in dollar bills so not easy to see all the signs) and she was just rude but, we got our drinks and got over it. Everybody has a bad day now and then. Food is good as well for a bar spot. This is a great spot to check out just for the experience!

Yelp
Idk why the last several reviews said it wasn't up to par, we went despite the negatives and it was awesome. I first came here around 20 years ago and I will be back before we leave. Pizza was great, service was great, they even accommodated a handicap parking need. Felt cleaner than i remembered 2 decades ago. Ignore the Karens and go.

Yelp
RUDE RUDE RUDE. I was so excited to visit No name Pub again since I haven't been there in years, we walk in and had to use the restroom from the drive. Our daughter face timed us so we walked onto the patio to answer her call. The first server told us patio was closed but it was ok to take the face time out there. The second server very rudely came out to tell us patio was closed, we told her we knew we were just trying to talk to our 2 year old. The third server opens the door and throws the tray at the trash can and misses food goes everywhere. She tells us we aren't allowed to be out there and that she was going to vacuum and we would no longer be able to hear our daughter on the phone. We left without ordering food because of how rude the staff were. So disappointed. We are Florida natives and keys regulars. I won't ever go back to this establishment.

Actioncraft7 ..

Yelp
We have been stopping by the No Name every 3-5 years for over 30 years. The pizza years back was awesome and very unique. Sadly now it comes out like gas station pizza. Nothing unique and totally changed from the original awesome pizza of the past. Not sure what has gone wrong but a true Keys original is now just a below average tourist trap. Total disappointment!!!!! Never again!!!!!
google avatar

Laurie P.

Yelp
We've been here several times. The wings are great, their No Name draft beer is great. It's a great old Florida joint if you can find it. Service is always great.
google avatar

Yelp
A semi random spot was well worth going a little off the beaten path. We were on our way to key west, as one is want to do. I had a spot tagged for years and I wasn't 100% sure why, but we drove up and off the main drag to check out No Name Pub. I didn't know later but we got lucky it wasn't a popular time of day. we pop in and got a table right away. When we walked in it took a minute for the eyes to adjust to the darker interior. after that minute though things came into vision. tens of thousands of dollar bills were attached to all walls and ceiling. Since we didn't know this was going to be, it was surprising. next to our table one bill was dated just a couple days before. I realized that along the wall many of the bills were a second layer of bills even. pretty cool. Our drinks were out pretty quick and then our sandwiches soon after. It was good drinks, pretty darn good food. But the out of the way vibe was solid. There isn't a lot of other options right around this part of the keys, so its easily the best spot I have seen in those parts.
google avatar

Amanda A.

Yelp
This is a keys landmark and a must visit every time we visit the keys. No name pub, on no name key is just a short drive off the main drag on pine island key and worth the detour. Most days you'll spot key deer on your way out there, and you'll never be disappointed by their food. They are famous for their pizza; we always order extra to take with us for leftovers! The bar is beer and wine only and the staff is friendly. Bring your dollar bills so you can post in on the ceiling and walls!!
google avatar

Marqus R.

Yelp
No Name Pub is a legendary icon of the area. One step inside, and you'll immediately know why. Every inch of the place is solidly covered with one-dollar bills, from the ceilings to the walls, everywhere, with no space untouched. Each bill is left by a patron with a writing on each. No Name Pub is more than a pub. It's also a brewery. I had one of their beers and one of their ales and both were very good. They do not sell hard liquor. They also have a limited food menu with their specialty being pizza. But they also have burgers, a good homemade Key Lime pie dessert, varying sandwiches, a conch chowder, chili, etc. I, unfortunately, went for the fried clam strips which were overly greasy, overly breaded, tough, and chewy. My partner, the wise person that he is, merely got a burger, always a safe bet, and said it was delicious. No Name Pub is way out in the boondocks near nothing, and a devil of a place to find, but being so unique, people seek it out and find it. You should do it. It's worth it.
google avatar

Laura M.

Yelp
Came from out of town and I really enjoyed this. We sat out on the tiki patio and had lunch. I had the fish and chips basket and it was delicious! The staff was friendly. I was also very excited because I wanted to see the key deer and there was one in the parking lot, making this a really great stop for me!
google avatar

Josh S.

Yelp
This place is as good as it gets. It's legendary and honestly made my trip to the Keys all the more fun. It's tucked away so it feels a bit mysterious but trust me, you won't be the only one here. Make sure to sign a dollar bill for the all and get the Hawaiian pizza! They also have great merch. I got a cool hoodie that I wear all the time.

JP N.

Yelp
The food was ok. The bar tender was great... although how hard is it to open a beer? The departing manager definitely needs an attitude adjustment. I guess I'm glad I went to see it, but feel it is way overrated. Don't go out of your way to get there.

Katelyn M.

Yelp
We got there at a busy time, so we had to wait but it was well worth it. We were seated outside in the tiki hut, which was awesome and there were cute dogs. It was pretty dark inside and the dollar bills (along with some other currency) were everywhere. The meathead pizza and Cobb salad were amazing. Ellie, our waitress, was very friendly and efficient. We had a great time!!
google avatar

Shannon S.

Yelp
The Cuban sandwich was excellent as were the peel and eat shrimp. The fish basket was too breaded and salty - just order the Cuban sandwich
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
Food was good little to much batter but wasn't bad the shrimp pizza is amazing and the shrimp was also really good. Service was ok the waitress talking outside the restroom were overheard being rude talking about my wife upset her remember you are in public even if people can't see you they can. The tiki hut in the back was very nice

Yelp
It is still worth the effort to find this out of the way pizza heaven. It's a great find. History ( oldest Bar) .. Ambiance. Millions of $1 dollar bills stapled on the walls ceiling windows. Great food and cold beer. Then when you have a waitress that is great at her job. (Abbe). It makes for a special meal.
google avatar

Alicia J.

Yelp
Worst service ever!! Waitress ignored us, then when we finally got service she was rude and we felt as if we were intrusive of her time. How can you mess up a Pepsi!!! No liquor. We paid and left. Never again
google avatar

Javier H.

Yelp
Yes this place is the dives dives of all time . You have to try this place at least once it's a true dive . Food was not bad at all but it's the atmosphere millions of dollar bills staple to the walls ceiling every where nice touch . The pizza I ordered was great the all meat pizza not bad at all grandma and wife had the lobster soup they love it . And if you travel with a 100 year old the key lime pie is free ha ha ha nice touch anyway service is as excellent try it it's a fun place
google avatar

Yelp
Came here last evening with family. It was open and pretty busy for a holiday. The waitress who seemed to be the only waitress working, was attentive and helpful even though you can tell it was a lot for one person to handle. I had a club sandwich that was good, the others in my party had pizza and enjoyed it. They have dollar bills stapled everywhere. Overall a cool place. The Key lime pie was ok but very heavy.

Chris Y.

Yelp
Decent spot, the waitress was one of the friendliest nicest I've met. Very cool little old time bar.
google avatar

Clay M.

Yelp
The menu has a large variety to choose and the staff were extremely polite and helpful about their menu items. This pub offers indoor and outdoor dining as well as a bar area inside. There's so many dollar bills stapled to the ceiling, columns, walls and any space that they can find that it's like dining inside a piggy bank. Such a wonderful place, I can't wait to make it back! Great Job!!
google avatar

Brandy W.

Yelp
Food was very good! Highly recommend the silver dollar fries and pizza! Great atmosphere. Quick service.

Rob W.

Yelp
An hour to get an overcooked burger. Waitress with an attitude. Enough said. Don't bother. This place is not worth the time nor money.

Yelp
We went out of our way to find this place yesterday on our way back from Stock Island because a friend recommended it. It's been around since 1936, which in South Florida means it's been through some stuff! (In the late 30's it even included a brothel!) The inside is dark and a bit dingy and an incredibly tight fit, but they have an outdoor patio in the back that's roomy and cheery and shaded. (They don't even let you inside to take your name, you have to wait outside because there's no room for a host stand.) Despite it being 90 degrees, it was cool on the patio and I didn't sweat while eating. We started with their Homemade Smoked Fish dip, which was hands down the best one I've ever had anywhere. It's made with fresh yellowfin tuna, which is the star of the dish. Nothing overshadows the fish and it's not drowning in mayonnaise. Their side salad was incredibly fresh and plentiful. My wife had their beer battered fish and chips, which she said were perfect. The batter was light (although it looked a little oily to me) and you could easily slide out the fish if you wanted a little less. Their waffle fries were a novelty for me. They're basically a thin oval of deep fried potato (no waffle pattern to be found anywhere). We brought home some leftovers and the verdict is still out. They do have a legitimate potato flavor, but I'm not sure I'm sold. I'm going to reheat for lunch and try them with my favorite topping (sour cream) and we'll see how it goes. I had their Carribean Chicken (marinated chicken strips & green onions) Pub Pizza and it was delicious! Savory, with a slightly doughy and crisp crust, and well seasoned chicken. (They offer a thin crust if you prefer.) My only complaint is that it's a little saucy on top. I think they stir fry or saute the chicken they use and then throw it on the pizza, which adds a bit of sauce, but it was NOT a dealbreaker for me. Their pink lemonade was excellent (designated driver obviously) and my wife really liked their No Name Amber Ale. Not too bitter or sweet, which could also be said for my pink lemonade! Their key lime pie was very, very, good. Obviously no artifical flavors or colors with the perfect balance of tart and sweet. We even brought back a piece for my mother-in-law. (Dog sitting has its rewards!) As to why I gave it four stars instead of five...I hate eating with plastic utensils and off of paper plates. Also, although the server warmed up after a bit, it's not the friendliest service I've ever had. On the flip side, you get an interesting bit of Florida history with your meal and you're pretty much guaranteed to see endangered Key Deer in the area.
google avatar

Jake S.

Yelp
This place has unfortunately declined. We understand busy and lack of staff, especially in The Keys. However, the pizza isn't nearly as high quality as past years. We don't mind paying for quality food, but it is nowhere near what it should be for what we paid. The service we received was average. We were regulars patrons, but we won't be back for a long time.
google avatar

Kurt G.

Yelp
Our taxi driver recomended this when he heard we were driving down to marathon key. I definitely recommend the side trip here. The food was good. We had pizza for lunch. It was not NYC fair but good for vacation (you needed a knife and fork). We had the veg pizza. I had a Guinness (can). Service was friendly. The outdoor seating is in a large tiki hut that you don't notice from the outside. After you can do the hikes to things like the blue hole (a reasonable drive away) and maybe see key deer.

Beth N.

Yelp
I guess the people who like this place haven't tried to clam strips. Tasted like over breaded rubber bands. The dollar bills hanging inside are cool to see though.
google avatar

Samy H.

Yelp
Cool little spot in the middle of no where, we got the jalapeño poppers and they were good! Now the fish platter was ok. You don't get much fish or shrimp, you do get a lot of clams in a batter, Service was really good and fast

A F.

Yelp
Just a tourist trap. Kind of a cool bar but food was way over priced. We split a grouper sandwich. Yes it was big but all breading. So thin you could hardly see the fish and it was $29 for a sandwich. For us it was a been there done that kind of place.

Yelp
Let's just say my second time back, love to go a few times before I review in order to judge the standards, let's just say I am happy to say they live to their standards. Makaylee our server was attentive and informative, the clam basket was amazing with pancake fries that were crispy and soft in the inside, great coleslaw as well, the Philly cheesesteak was flavorful and full of onions with thinly sliced ribeye. Local vibe with a gift shop for their fishing shirts, local livery pub.

Yelp
It's not as hard to find as they say. And it's not too far off of US1. And it has a name..."No Name." And you should visit. We come to Key West every year and had never taken the time to visit this spot. Shame on us. We didn't eat this time, but the food did look great. The guy next to us ordered wings and they looked great. We just had a couple beers to see the place and now we can't wait to come back. The endangered Key Deer we're hanging out in the parking lot. It was very cool to see them and get some pics. They're tiny and definitely not afraid of you. The eclectic vibe of this place along with the history make it a great stop. There has to be hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of ones stapled to walls and ceilings (I didn't have time to actually count). The bar stools are awkwardly tall for short people and the wooden bar itself has clearly been there for years. I'd love to hear it's stories.

Yelp
Food quality has changed and not for better. Pizza is no longer good and it shows, last year wait time during season was half hour to hour, now no wait.
