13 Celebrity-Owned Restaurants In Atlanta, Ranked - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"As the only non-Atlanta-based celebrity on the list, Robert De Niro probably knew his Nobu chain at Phipps would attract a herd/gaggle/colony of celebrities (what’s the collective noun for celebrities, btw?). Similar to the sushi chain's other locations, A- to Z-listers come out for $30 sashimi, $50 small plates, and sleek interiors that mix textures like wood and onyx. When we’re done identifying the who’s who of people who walked in with Jermaine Dupri or that person in the corner fake-trying to lay low in her fur coat and humongous Dior sunglasses, we’re ordering the iconic sweet miso-glazed cod, which barely needs chewing. Make the most of your meal (and money) by skipping the sushi and sticking to the hot and cold plates near the front of the menu, where you’ll find the most flavor." - nina reeder, juli horsford, demarco williams, jacinta howard

16 Great Atlanta Hotel Restaurants

"When we’re in the mood to live our best lives, we head to Nobu Atlanta behind Buckhead’s Phipps Plaza, where we can splurge on $30 sashimi and $50 small plates and pretend we’ve got a few commas in our account. Like the others in the popular upscale brand, Atlanta’s Nobu hotel and restaurant largely delivers the same fancy-pants (they’re tapered pants) experience you expect would be worthy of several name drops in Drake lyrics—A- to Z-list sightings, sleek interiors that mix textures like wood and onyx, and bold dishes like their iconic sweet miso-glazed cod, which barely needs chewing. Nobu Atlanta Review - Buckhead - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Now Atlantans can rap along to Drake lyrics about Nobu while they dine on signature creations like the yellowtail jalapeño crudo at the world-renowned Japanese restaurant and hotel chain, which sits behind Phipps Plaza in Buckhead. And it largely delivers the experience you expect would be worthy of several Drake name drops—celebrity sightings, sleek interiors that mix textures like wood and onyx, and boldly flavored dishes like their iconic sweet miso-glazed cod, which barely needs chewing. My wife and I came here for our anniversary dinner and to stay the night. We were greeted with warm and friendly staff. They promptly verified allergies and made sure that we weren’t served anything questionable. The food and presentation were amazing, we savored every bite. Our server Brittany was attentive and made sure we had plenty of time to enjoy our meal and that we were never in need of anything. Will definitely have to visit again and would highly suggest Nobu to any family or friends.

We were able to get in as walk-ins and get seated right away at 11:20 am for brunch outside (which honestly I preferred since it was quieter). Overall the food was very good. I loved the hot station and would recommend their slider, carved beef, and French toast. Sushi was a big hit as well. Great quality. The ice cream was mediocre but the other deserts were interesting and quite good. However, while I enjoyed the DJ’s music, it was just a little too loud. Additionally, somehow all of their tea was out (every single type)?

We were invited to dinner at Nobu in Atlanta. Years ago, my husband and I had eaten at Nobu in Las Vegas but this experience was different. In Vegas, you tell the server how much you're willing to spend for the dinner and they will make you a 2 or 3 course meal to that budget. My husband remembers it was good. Here in Atlanta, the food did not disappoint. As someone who loves seafood, this was a great place for it. However, there was not a lot of noise dampening and at the table, our dinner party members felt like we were yelling at each other. It probably didn't help I also have (diagnosed) hearing loss. In all, it was a great experience though it is on the pricey side. I'm grateful for the chance to try it out.

My husband and I came here for the first time . Maleik was our waiter and he was absolutely amazing. He recommended multiple things that we tried and we loved them all. Everyone was super friendly and was having conversation with us. I had an amazing time with my husband and we will definitely be back.😍

We finally had the chance to visit Nobu. The food was pretty good (pricey, of course). It’s a la carte and shareable, so we were able to try a few dishes, such as the miso cod, lobster tempura amazu pozu, and multiple types of sushi. The chocolate sata andagi dessert (Okinawan style donuts) was awesome! The vibes were…just okay. Honestly, I was a bit underwhelmed.😐 There are nicer restaurants in Atlanta with better atmosphere for the money. It was good to check it off my list, though.

Came for a birthday. Food was unique and tasteful. We started off with great service from Christian. My partner thought it was odd Christian left in the middle of our dinner. Although our new server was a young lady that did not disappoint. The manager made us feel special with a birthday desert. Nice touch!

First time we’ve been to Nobu and heard a lot of good things about it. We did get Signatures Omakase $130 for 6 courses (3 cold dishes,2 hot dishes and one dessert) . My favorites are the yellowtail jalapeño, variety of nigiri, and miso blackcod which is so flavorful and delicious (highly recommended) . The lava cake so buttery and creamy texture of the rich chocolate melted in your mouth. We ended up order American Washu Hanger Steak with Chimichuri sauce which also delicious and savory . Professional and friendly service !

“Let me put you on real quick — Nobu Atlanta ain’t just for the celebs. I pulled up and made it my moment. Started off with the Nobu fries — light, crispy, seasoned like they were made by a chef who really cares about fries. Paired it with a glass of Nobu champagne — smooth, elegant, and hit different with that sushi on the side. The sushi? Fresh, delicate, melt-in-your-mouth type of quality. Clean flavors, perfect balance. This ain’t no corner sushi spot. But hold up — the real underdog? That $12 slider. Small but serious. Juicy, seasoned, and way better than it had any right to be. The whole vibe at Nobu is upscale but chill. You walk in and feel like money — even if you’re just getting fries and champagne. Slide in, order like a boss, and vibe out. Prince Kase approved, respectfully.”

Yelp
We stayed at the hotel so we decided to try the restaurant! I've heard of this place before, so I was pretty excited to go. I would say that this place is super pricey so be prepared to spend $$$. The restaurant had an air of luxury, so it would be a perfect special date night spot. We tried both the breakfast (twice) and dinner (once). The breakfast was our favorite. We loved everything, and the portions were pretty generous. I would definitely go back for that. I think if I were to go back for dinner, I would focus more on the dishes rather than sushi. They really excelled in those I felt. There wasn't really anything special with the sashimi, but we were blown away by their signature black miso cod and truffle risotto.

Yelp
Nobu Atlanta is part of an iconic worldwide collection of more than 50 Peruvian-influenced Japanese fine dining restaurants. Despite its global inspired food, Nobu focuses on local, homegrown ingredients. It was my birthday weekend and we (party of 8) were looking for a nightcap after an afternoon of tea at the Brassica @ Waldorf Astoria. We ordered the Tiradito 'Nobu Style', Black Cod with Miso, Wagyu Short Rib Dumplings, Parmesan Miso Rice with Truffle, Spinach Salad with Dry Miso, Lobster tacos, Crispy fish tacos, Rock Shrimp Tempura, Australian Lamb Chop Gochujang Honey, and Katsumori (cocktail w/Hendricks Gin, cucumber, and pamplemousse). During a prior visit, I also ate the yellowtail jalapeno and crispy rice with spicy tempura. I have not had a bad bite at Nobu - the food is truly delicious and I understand the hype around this restaurant collection. The black cod and parmsean miso rice were truly memorable dishes that I will order every time I eat at Nobu. We were provided with great and friendly service all evening long. The food items come out as prepared, and not in courses. This is not a restaurant, it is a culinary experience. I love the ambiance, vibe, and food at Nobu and look forward to my next visit to discover new dishes and cocktails!

Yelp
I came here for one of my friend's birthday and I can say this is a nice place for special occasions. It is a little difficult to find if you don't frequent Phipps often, so be on time if you've never been lol. When it comes to the food, I feel like the food is definitely overpriced for the taste and portion. I feel like $48 dollars for a sushi is a little insane for it to taste mediocre. There were some stand out items such as the fish. The fish and also the Parmesan rice were very flavorful. The sushi, ribeye, shrimp stir fry were just ok to me nothing too spectacular. Service was also a bit slow this night and it was a Saturday. Not sure if I would give them a try again, but if I do I know what to get and what not to get.

Yelp
Hard to go wrong at Nobu. Popular sushi chain with an upscale vibe that makes for a fun night. Miso cod and really all their hot plates are delicious(sides sold separately). Enjoyed the corn, yellowtail roll, sea bass, cod lettuce wraps and more. Martinis were yummy. Make a reservation. Valet is $15 or there is self parking.

Yelp
Went Nobu on Saturday and at first I thought that it was mainly hype but once we got seated (I had a reservation and still had to wait about 15 minutes) the food was incredible. Our server was really great and gave us good recommendations. We really enjoyed the Sauvignon Blanc by the glass. The miso soup with tofu was A+ and the edamame was excellent. We got 3 different rolls and they were all delicious. I didn't enjoy sitting so close to the door that led to the patio but overall I'd say the experience and food was definitely worth a second visit.

Yelp
Nobu is always fantastic for food. The ambience is really nice, service is excellent and the cocktails are top notch. The only draw back is usually the price tag at the end of your meal. The fish was very fresh and I enjoyed all of the sushi. Interestingly we ordered the simple rolls and they were all great. The steak was perfectly cooked and the presentation was great. The lychee martini was one of my favorites. I would come back again just for those. I really love the mini salmon tacos too. They gave a unique twist on spicy tuna crispy rice where you dip the crispy rice into a sauce and add your own tuna. Such a perfect bite! Highly recommend this place if you are willing to have a hefty bill at the end of the night.

Yelp
This is the first time visiting Nobu Atlanta, we've been to Nobu in NY a few times. The food is as expected, fresh with great flavors. Our server was knowledgable and friendly, was able to make some nice recommendations. The decour of the restaurant is very nicely done. It's a great environment. Overall, Nobu was a good experience, great for a date night, and fairly priced for the "level" of dining.

Yelp
Fantastic food and service. The standouts were the Miso Parmesan Rice, Miso Chilean Sea Bass, Crispy Rice. Nice decorum, kinda modern Japanese. Exceptionally priced, this is a place to splurge for a really nice night out. Quality over quantity here.

Yelp
When I say I am completely blown away by the Nobu experience. I'm gasping. The Japanese esthetic is beautiful and the service is amazing. The food is the apotame of an oral orgasm. Nicole was our server and she delivered like a culinary chef. She knew the palette of each dish and was amazing in assisting us with deciding our dish. Be advised that the menu is laid out in an ale cart style and these are high priced menu items. One person is easily $150 but understand that you are paying for the exquisite ambience, the luxury atmosphere and the food is a foodie's dream. If you like Japanese cuisine you will LOVE this place. Each dish is a work of culinary art and your taste buds will have the adventure of a lifetime.

Yelp
The Atlanta Nobu location is a great looking place with decent service for sure. It is in a hidden space , but maybe that was the point. We ordered several dishes and overall they were just okay. Nothing stood out except my very tasty and refreshing cocktail. The presentation is awesome , but taste and the wow factor did not exist. Try it for yourself and let's compare notes!

Yelp
I had an amazing time at Nobu for dinner. I was able to squeeze in a late reservation and I'm so glad I went. My server Charles was amazing by the way, excellent customer service, very knowledgeable about the menu and was great overall! The Ambiance is beautiful set inside the Nobu Hotel I had the perfect corner table, the restaurant wasn't too loud and nicely lit. I had the Cod with Miso and after the first bite I was hooked, it was so good, tender and the sweetness paired perfectly with the crispy rice and avocado. To drink I had the lychee martini and it was so refreshing! I can't wait to visit again. I accidentally deleted my food picture but the cod was a huge portion too!

Yelp
This is not the Nobu we all have come to love. The SERVICE, the FOOD, the environment is TRASH. For the prices they must do better. I've given it several chances to get better but they continue to disappoint. Never again!!!

Yelp
Everything about this experience was so special and delicious. We did not have a reservation for the restaurant, but we were staying in the hotel, and they suggested us to just do a walk up even though they were fully committed for the evening. Our intention was simply to sit at the bar, but we were given the options to sit right in front of the sushi chefs, and it was the perfect place to have our dinner. We started off with the yellowtail jalapeño Sashimi, famous with Nobu if you've ever been! It's just as good as I remember it. The Yuzu ponzu sauce had amazing popping citrus flavor, and the yellowtail was so fresh. We literally watched them make it right in front of us. Our drinks were a sake martini and a passionfruit margarita, and I was so impressed with the martini. I usually go for a standard dirty martini with great goose, but I was happy to switch it up! Then moved on with the Toro and scallion roll, very fresh, simple, and a nice intro to our next plate. The house special role has five kinds of fish. There is snow, crab, a whitefish that the chef compared to flounder, tuna, salmon, and yellowtail. It's wrapped in the standard Nori, and then wrapped again in a very thin layer of cucumber. It was crunchy, fresh, and surprisingly filling, even though I should've expected that because of the size of each bite! My favorite thing the whole night was this chili octopus karaage. Spicy, crunchy, hot, and I really really enjoyed the citrus aioli at the bottom and I'm not really an aïoli girl at all! Search lovely experience I honestly am excited to go to another Nobu in another country or even another part of the US just to experience a different ambience. I definitely see where they were going with the execution of Nobu Atlanta, and I think it was great.

Yelp
Underwhelmed! The portion sizes are extremely small and the items are super pricey! Everything is a la carte including the eel and creamy spice sauce for the sushi items. As a group we paid a little under $900 for 8 people and was starving when we left. The crab cuts rolls were tasty to me with the eel and creamy spice sauce mixed. The order includes 6 pieces. The restaurant would be a much better option for tapas, bites and drinks for happy hour in my opinion.

Yelp
Monthly mother son outing and we selected Nobu, since we've been meaning to come here for awhile and it's near our favorite string of restaurants. If you are unfamiliar with Nobu brand, it is very luxurious and no luxe detail was spared. The entire atmosphere creates a luxurious escape. I love coffee and had an espresso, caviar, and lobster tartare for my meal and my mother had salmon. Although this place is pricey, the food quality and service are excellent! Recommended as a restaurante you must try at least once. Next time I plan on doing a staycation at the hotel one weekend.

Yelp
The service alone gets 5 stars from me. Listen, I'm not a sushi/sashimi girl. Or, at least I wasn't, until my experience here. We sat at the bar, even though I was able to score a reservation for later that evening. Initially, they were booked out, but I love the "wait list" option on Open Table. I've used it several times to get earlier reservations at local hot spots. Once we decided to stay at the bar bc they have a full menu, I cancelled. It was 2 hours before my reservation so hopefully someone else was able to snag it. It was 3 of us, and the bar tender, MC, was very attentive. We ordered a ton of apps and small plates to try different things and some of the options he encouraged. The fish was super fresh and light. I even found myself saying yummmm. So happy I was open to trying things. I also ordered the Nobu Old Fashioned (I love some bourbon lol)! I highly recommend. I didn't take pics of everything we ate bc I was enjoying the experience and my friends. Dress code is casual. All staff interactions were amazing. I found "street" parking by the gym but the hotel offers free parking for restaurant guests. Not sure if you have to get it validated tho.

Yelp
Visited for my birthday dinner at 7:30 on a Wednesday. Upon arrival I was seated immediately. The interior was spacious, with an open kitchen concept. The server was attentive and knowledgeable. We enjoyed every recommendation, I wish I could remember his name! We ordered the yellowtail jalapeño, salmon/tuna tacos, black miso cod, crab roll, sautéed veggies & baked Alaska for dessert. Everything was delicious!
google avatar

Olivia H.

Yelp
The food, service, and ambiance are all great here. My friends and I ordered the oysters, tiradito (nobu style), and an assortment of nigiri. The oysters come with three sauce options: (1) ponzu, (2) Maui salsa, and (3) tiradito. We selected the Maui salsa since we ordered another dish with tiradito. The Tiradito (nobu style) is a classic cold dish. It is a Peruvian take on sashimi with a spicy citrus sauce, light with a wonderful chili kick - absolutely delicious! The nigiri assortments we selected were bluefin otoro, salmon, yellowtail, fluke, and sea urchin. Garnishes on the nigiri come with an additional cost. (We added the recommended garnishes for each selection.) Everything was fresh and delectable, but my favorite dish was the Tiradito (nobu style). I highly recommend this order.

Yelp
I had high expectations for the food here, and it did not disappoint! Everything else however, kind of did. First of all valet is $15?? A little insane but they do offer self parking thankfully. On the same note Nobu charges for the pettiest things - still water (usually free or $5-7 max anywhere else) is $10!! Our waiter also offered us sauce on the side, and we probably should have asked beforehand but that was also an extra $3! The food was phenomenal - if you go definitely get the House roll, it is beyond amazing and has a little bit of everything. So flavorful but not overpowering; the fish is fresh and delicious. The hand rolls are also incredibly fresh and the fish inside pair PERFECTLY with the garnishes/additions they add. The creamy spicy crab is so good (a little salty but understandable, it comes from the masago which adds a satisfying crunch). The octopus however was far too overpowering in flavor, the sauce was so salty and powerful that it was a little difficult to eat (although the onion tomato salad on the side is to die for!) Bonus points to that dish for the bite size pieces they cut it into and how perfectly the octopus was cooked through. Service was alright - our server gave good recommendations and was polite but not quite friendly. One of my biggest qualms with this restaurant is how LOUD it is. Somehow, I can barely hear myself, but I am seated (I had a party of 2) so close to other people that I can hear their conversations. Overall I really loved dining here, but I'm not sure if I'd come again, as I don't think the whole experience is worth the insane prices.

Yelp
I was finally able to get a reservation for this place and gave it a try on my birthday. Reservations are a month out get to open table early. The ambiance is very nice, open concept. We had a seat up front near the sushi bar. The Atmosphere is loud so roll with it and have fun. We had a 5pm reservation and was seated immediately. The staff was also able to change the seating of our reservation due to a minor inconvenience, which I am very grateful for. Now that we got the small talk out the way, I found the food amazing! Although the portions are small, the service is family style and sharing is recommended. It was suggested to order different menu items and each cold item would come out separately and all hot items would come out together. I ordered the cod in butter lettuce that was very flavorful. As an FYI, everything pictured was made gluten free. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and assisted me with making some pretty good choices. The Chilean sea bass was definitely my favorite. The skin of the fish was crispy and the meat of the fish melts like butter. They do have gluten free soy sauce here which I poured a little on the dish just so I could enjoy the dish they way it was traditionally prepared. The shishito peppers were okay, it wasn't bad or nothing to write about. If you're a pepper fan, give them a try but there are probably better choices on the menu. Overall, I would Recommend this place for date night, celebrations and special occasions. Treat yourself, it's worth it. Another FYI, valet is $15 but general parking is free in the parking deck. I only valet because we were wearing heels. Outside of that, valet is an option if needed.

Yelp
The food was fantastic. I came with a large group and tried everything family style. I highly recommend coming with a large group and eating family style so that everyone can try a little if everything. The restaurant is a fine dining restaurant so be sure to dress up a little. The server was so nice and very knowledgeable.

Yelp
We sat at the bar and the service was very attentive. The food was immaculate. Nobu is in my top 3 sushi restaurants that are not strictly Omakase experiences. I would recommend any of the dishes we enjoyed.

Yelp
I was disappointed. Maybe 3-. I thought it was just ok. Some items were better than others. We had a private room for an event. The menu was pre-ordered, so we had a selection of items. I thought everything was mediocre. But when you add the pricing, it's less than average. The nigiri was probably the best. I had a bite of wagyu, which was also good. But the other dishes were just ok if not below. I've only been to the Vegas one a long time ago, but I recall thinking that was pretty good. Either the quality has gone down or this location is not as good.

Yelp
I've been to Nobu Malibu multiple times, but I will say Nobu Atlanta didn't disappoint. Great good and great service. I'll be back for sure :)

Yelp
This was my second Nobu location I've tried, the first being Las Vegas. Every Nobu has a different look and feel as well as food specialties and I LOVED the food here, but thought the service could have been much better (friendlier & more prompt- it was hard to track down our waiter for the second half of our meal). Must orders are the yellowtail Jalepeno, creamy crab, octopus Karaage (ATL only) and lychee martini. For price transparency, expect $200 per person for a full experience. This amount of food was perfect for 3 people. - yellowtail Jalepeno: (5/5) so good and appreciate the sizable pieces - spicy tuna crispy rice: (1/5) I have had much better versions of this for lower prices. The rice and fish were not seasoned, so you have to soak the rice in the dipping sauce just to add some flavor. The action of covering the rice with tuna per bite was not the easiest. Bad concept and taste. - rock shrimp tempura, creamy Jalepeno: (3/5) I did not enjoy this because I don't enjoy spice or the taste of peppers, but my friends LOVED this. Make sure to order it tossed instead of having sauce on the side. Try it if you are a Jalepeno fan. - rock shrimp tempura, butter ponzu: (2/5) we ordered this with sauce on the side to avoid the tempura getting soggy, but I didn't love the sauce with this tempura- maybe with sashimi instead. - spicy creamy crab: (5/5) whole pieces of crab legs covered in a spicy, creamy sauce. I love this, Drake loves this, you'll love this. - octopus karage: (5/5): an ATL only specialty! This was lightly breaded with a spicy mayo sauce- amazing. The octopus was tender and not tough at all. - dry seared salmon: (3/5): this was fine, but I expected an up-leveled Nobu version of salmon. - nigiri: (4/5): this was good, but nothing that you couldn't get at an average sushi restaurant. - miso black cod: (5/5): great! - vanilla miso tart: (3/5): this was not nearly as good as the Las Vegas version. The crust was soft vs crisp and there wasn't enough salt in the crust/sauce to provide depth. Just a soft, sweet dessert. - lychee martini: (5/5) - espresso martini: (5/5)

Yelp
Finally was able to get reservations for Nobu. It was a good experience. They have valet option and you can also self park. We checked in for our reservation and had to wait at the bar while they got our table ready. Had a great experience at the bar. Whiskey and scotch collection was amazing. My husband is a whiskey connoisseur and loved their options. I also loved my lychee martini!! Once we were seated our server was great! Very knowledgeable about recommending options and also let us know what was specific to the ATL Menu. We got wagyu dumplings, truffle baby corn , and shishito peppers as an appetizer. We got 3 nigiri options and 3 sushi rolls. Including the snow crab and yellow tail . Everything was great! Sushi was perfect! We also tried 2 desserts. The chocolate mousse sundae was ok as well as the doughnut holes. Overall it was a great experience! Service was 10/10!

Yelp
I was so excited when Nobu Atlanta opened. I have not been to any of their other locations, but I could not resist the hype that it garnered . I was able to check this spot out this past Saturday for dinner. I arrived at this restaurant right when they opened. We weee a party of 4, and surprisingly were able to be seated! When you try and make reservations online they are never available. I would suggest arriving when they open and hope for the best. We were seated on the patio. We had access to the Nobu sign which was a cute place to take pictures! I must admit that I was underwhelmed by the decor. I think I had a pre-conceived notion that the decor would be extravagant, and it was not. While there was nothing wrong with it, it just did not wow me. Our sever Ina was great! She knew the menu well and had no problem giving descriptions of both drink and food items. We ordered a number of items from the menu, to include alcoholic beverages, virgin drinks, tea, appetizers and entrees. Of the items I tasted, I enjoyed the Sashimi Salad, and the baby corn the most. My entree was the octopus and I left Half of it on the table. I have had much better octopus at other restaurants. The okra I ordered was also underwhelming. Other items ordered included sushi, edamame and the bite sized tacos! Yes they are literally bite size! I think they are the smallest tacos I have ever seen! No one was excited about their food. It was average at best. Overall- I love the fact that parking is free, the service was great. However, I don't think the food quality or taste aligns with the prices. I also was not particularly excited about the ambiance. For me, this was a one and done experience. If you still want to experience NOBU I would suggest sitting at the bar and having a drink or two. Everyone in my party did enjoy their drink options.

Yelp
To be fair only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because the wait to get a reservation is damn near a month out so you have to stalk open table to get a reservation. I've waited two months to visit. It's nice inside I went with my mom and it was very loud in there you have to talk up. The waitress Nicole was so nice and she was patient with my dramatic mom. So I appreciated it lol. The rolls are not bad very average. The oysters were really really good even though it came with only 3. The scallop was my favorite it was so good. The squid ink pasta that's not pasta but it was good. The only negative I have to say is the leeche martini could have been stronger , tasted more like juice than anything. Def would come back during the summer so I might as welll book from now. The price was about 300 including tip for everything g pictured a glass of wine and two martinis.

Food is good as can be expected Service is top notch. Cocktails awesome! Expensive. Located in the NOBU hotel in Phipps plaza. If you can't get a reservation, stay at the hotel and you are guaranteed a reservation.

Yelp
Pricey, but good for a special occasion. Stick to the classics. The cod miso is delicious and steak is exceptional.

Yelp
The iconic Nobu has found a home among Atlanta's sushi offerings. This was my first Atlanta Nobu experience, but this was not my first Nobu experience as I tried the one in D.C.--thanks to my Uncle Jake. Reservations are highly encouraged. If you are wanting to experience this restaurant on a Friday or Saturday, you may have to look weeks in advance. The restaurant itself is dimly lit, kind of romantic, and the hostess greeted us with a welcoming attitude. I'll begin by saying the lychee elderflower martini is consistently delicious when comparing locations. -- I had to order it again. Just do it Starting with the vegetable hand roll, I was immediately impressed. There is a sauce in the roll and idk maybe magic? It was bursting with flavor. The House special was incredible, but even more incredible was the lobster house special--there are no words to describe that oral pleasure of this dish--it's worth every bite. On that note, for my budget-conscience friends, to have the best experience this restaurant is not low-budget friendly--estimate $100-200/person. It is my belief that additional fees at restaurants should be properly communicated, so here is a forewarning: they charge for still and sparkling water PLUS $20/person not drinking an alcoholic beverage. --they offered tap which I thought was still water, because when you fill a glass with tap water and set it on the table it's still lol, but no, still water is Acqua Panna-- not sure if tap carries a charge too. --The Still Acqua Panna is crisp and delicious, and if you're a water taste-quality person like me, you'll appreciate it.-- The additional fee for my partner to not drink alcohol was honestly shocking since it seems he would've been better off to order an alcoholic beverage instead. Thus, I decided on deducting a star for the service, as my waitress wasn't attentive nor did she disclose the additional beverage fees. No one enjoys surprise fees. In my opinion, discreetly squeeze another $20/person who opt to be alcohol-free is financially predatory. On a better note, our waitress did mention the price of the lobster special, which I appreciated and recklessly ordered. -just order it -- I still think about it. It was above $50 for that roll, and again I can't stress this enough, every bite was worth it. My only regret is that I didn't visit the bathroom at this location for a mirror selfie lol. If I had to guess based off previous experience at a separate location, they are kind of gorgeous.. There's a nice photo op outfront- which the patio is open to. I recommend taking a photo before you eat as you may be too full after! All in all, if you're looking for a high-end, luxurious restaurant, and one that serves sushi, this is a place to add to your date night, business-deal dinners, celebrations. P.S. other things I would try here is the miso sea bass, crispy spicy tuna, and wagyu nigiri.

Yelp
In a nutshell: this is well-prepared sushi in a pretty space with sometimes pretty people but a mostly unprepared staff. 3.5 stars ultimately. Server was very kind and eager, but didn't seem to have a full education on the menu or sushi in general, he checked in often and reconfirmed orders multiple times - not the seamless and elegant service one us used to at this level. There were lots of open tables on a Saturday night at 8pm. Like lots of them. We had a little cozy booth near the bar that was great for people watching - and people watching we did. We saw entire groups of people that looked like they were going different places in terms of dress codes - does anyone besides me own a cocktail dress anymore? Y'all look messy. No complaints at all about the food - started with a couple of the yellowtail jalapeño (standard and great.) Then had some nigiri and sashimi - all as expected and fresh - (Otoro, uni, madai - the good stuff) But the care to explain the dish or recommend an order in which to eat it was missed (and this is pretty standard practice at other high end sushi/Japanese places, so it was weird to just have things dropped off overall.) Ultimately we decided to switch venues pretty quickly. I'm undecided as to whether I would return to this location of Nobu on my own - it would take an insistent invitation. Ps. Also - one of the ladies bathroom stalls was out of order, the sink only had one dispenser for soap, the paper towels were not convenient for more than one person to get.... And there was no bidet.

Yelp
I love Nobu, this is yet another Neighborhood Gem. Nobu is a Japanese restaurant that has Fresh tasting sushi without leaving an after taste. My go to dishes are the Black Cod with Miso, Black Cod Butter Lettuce, Tori Tartare with Caviar, Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna; need I go on? Every dish has been delightful. Their Ambiance has a nice vibe along with amazing service. Jeffrey, is one of my favorite waiters. And Althea, Nobu's finest Hostess. Book that Reservation with Nobu Atlanta when you're craving Sushi.

Yelp
This experience was very nice overall because the restaurant is extremely comfortable and clean. The service is also outstanding. However, the food is very very expensive. The food was good, don't get me wrong but it was not as amazing as I expected it to be. As a sushi fanatic, I was underwhelmed. There are a few things I would go back for, both the sashimi plates posted were excellent, best things we ordered. Not worth the pricing in my opinion but makes a good date night for ambiance and drinks.

Yelp
Nobu was definitely an interesting experience. The atmosphere was honestly a little too dead for my liking but the service was obviously phenomenal. The food was overall fine. I definitely recommend the . I was just a little underwhelmed and felt like any other restaurant.

Yelp
The dishes at Nobu are very tasty but also very spendy. 4 small plates and 3 sushi rolls with no alcohol equals $250. Our favorite dish was the baby corn with a creamy honey truffle sauce. We also got rock shrimp tempura, lobster tempura and black cod miso. The black cod was tasty but very rich. The tempura batter was light and we loved the ponzu - it was like a deluxe fish and chips. Service was friendly and attentive

Yelp
I want to lunch here on Dec 22nd and from the start, that is locating the restaurant and parking, I should have known what the dining experience would be. The host was nice enough and asked if we were celebrating and we informed it was an anniversary. The two of us were seated at a banquette table that had what we later found out to be a soy sauce container with product dripping down the sides of it. We were then given menus with residue and stains all over them, multiple stains over multiple pages. I wanted to run but I really wanted my first Nobu experience to be in ATL. The dining room was dimly lit and had several larger open tables, perfect for ordering many different things to share and try all at once. We found the wall seating very crammed and awkward to fit all the dishes, bottles, utensils, etc. Not to mention the neighboring patrons could touch our elbows and hear every bit of conversation. The restaurant wasn't terribly busy just after 2pm on a Friday but by 240pm the server was pushing us to finish ordering because the kitchen was closing. The food was mediocre as in I remember enjoying better seafoods at what is sometimes considered lower tier sushi spots such as Ru San's. The Sake selection was impressive and it was nice to get a verbal history/description from the server-assistant about the one we ordered. I came for the uni and black cod so when the server told us Uni hadn't been in for a good while I knew I would never frequent this location going forward. Alas the server came back after we'd long settled in to our Sake and sparkling water and let me know I could have the uni. Oh the water, we determined later that you may have to specifically request tap water or else they will continue to bring overpriced bottles of sparking or still. Uni was my favorite bite of all; speaks volumes because the chef didn't actually cook any it was just fresh and wrapped in nori. The calamari was fried nicely but the side sauce was a miss and seemed unnecessary. The Wagyu taco was chewy and bland. The lobster taco was bland also but perhaps because it was served icy cold. The cod was burned around the outside and the brown sauce was overly sugary; it did not lend to the fish in anyway especially as apricot halves were a sweet on the plate. I think what was supposed to be miso was salty therefore umami flavor was understated. The sliced Wagyu is pricey and has unit minimums but I think it's the best thing this seafood restaurant sells. We completed the meal as we researched where we would eat again before a 7pm movie reservation. There was no further mention of an anniversary by any of the staff. I added this to my Overhyped ATL file : the list of where you go just for an Instagram picture with the signage

Yelp
Been patiently waiting for this location to open. Parking wise, I guess you can valet? I was a bit confused by the OpenTable message and parked near the Starbuck entrance at Phipps and walked over from the main floor. Like the other comments, dress code was a bit confusing. You had people all decked out to people wearing super casual clothes. I guess it being located in a hotel, you can't really enforce the dress code but would assume that you would dress up a tad. It's not like we're at the Vegas strip location where you pop in while strolling around. Overall service was good. They space out your orders so for we ended up sticking around 1.5 hours. There was so many food runners though that we only saw our server 3 to 4 times that it felt little impersonal. Like, how is my tip split up? Also, our non-alcoholic drinks took a tad long after we had ordered it. Lastly, we had drinks on our table and almost done with the meal but was annoyed that the staff opened a second bottle of water without even asking... I made sure that we had the most popular dishes or the ones we really wanted from each section. Under snacks, I really wanted to try the corn and it was delicious but tad salty. Reviews of the cold dishes were so-so so we passed on this section. For the hot dishes, we ordered the cod and beef toban yaki. Cod was perfection but I prefer butter sauce on the toban and wish they would provide description on the menu. Super bite sized, but we enjoyed the lobster taco which was refreshing and a nice palate cleanser. Tempura wise, shrimp was coated lightly and perfectly cooked. Beef kushiyaki was bland for my liking but cooked well. Nigiri wise, we chose the ones of our liking but was unhappy that they kept running out of specific fish after we had ordered. Their sushi menu is very basic but you can taste the freshness of the fish as it melts in your mouth. Just to give you a forewarning, fresh and basic meaning that you can actually taste more of the rawness or fishness. I ended up celebrating my bday and baked Alaska was a showstopper, but not when it came to the taste. When the sorbet, cheesecake, and marshmallow came together it tastes fine but by itself wasn't that great. Overall, wasn't very satisfied. Cocktail wise, lychee martini was good but so basic and without any creativity. I actually preferred the non-alcoholic drinks, which was new and refreshing. My favorite was the Melon colada. Overall, good celebration but feel like the food is overpriced.

Yelp
From start to finish the service and the food is impeccable! We went to celebrate my friends birthday and we both kept saying, "Oh, we get the hype now!" This place is booked up solid, but somehow we squeezed in. We started with the Jalapeño Yellowtail. Chef's kiss! We wanted to order another order so bad! David was a sushi chef and he was amazing! Next we had the spicy tuna rolls. Good. Followed by the lobster tacos! Small, but mighty! Another dish we wanted to order over. Then we had the Rock Shrimp, Wagyu Dumplings and the Spicy Shrimp. OMG!!! All of it was delicious! I had the lychee martini and it tasted like candy to me. My friend had the market margarita and it had a kicked to it. She liked it though! For dessert we had these donuts, with matcha ice cream and passion fruit glaze! I can taste them now! We both can't wait to return! All their servers are also on point! The took care of us! The only reason I took a star away was because of the parking not being validated. Sorry, it's a pet peeve.

Yelp
Left feeling a little hungry... Service is very on point. Attentive and helpful hostess, waiters and runners. We didn't have to flag anyone down and it was a very busy Saturday night. The drinks are interesting, but given very basic alcohol bases (titos, ciroc, forresters bourbon, plantation rum, etc) the prices are unwarranted on most. Some have foreign liquor like macchu piso or not easily sourced garnish - but kind of hyped up. The sashimi was indeed delicious! I had the yellowtail jalapeño and devoured it. Note - every dish is tapas. even "Entrees". I had the black cod miso and it was tasty but slighty over cooked. My cocktail was delicious. Not too strong but enough punch to enjoy throughout the meal. I believe my waitress' name was Sky ( I could be wrong). She was really funny and engaging. Ambiance was lacking, in my opinion considering the level of interior decor at other smaller/least expensive restaurants in Atlanta. I might try one more time to see if this is dubb or not.

Yelp
I've been to other Nobus (Chicago, Vegas, Milan) so when I heard one was opening in Atlanta, I was excited to try it. We came for a friend's birthday. The visit had some highs and lows. I'm hoping they refine the lows over time. When ordering, we tried to order some of the Nobu signature dishes but had trouble because they were out of half of the menu. There was no crab and no lobster so we ended up ordering alternate items. Overall, we loved our food. Our favorites were the Ribeye steak, waygu tacos, shrimp tempura, sushi, waygu dumplings and the Baked Alaska dessert. We also loved our drinks. I had a Nobu sidecar and the birthday girl had a lyche martini. Most of our issues were related to service. We felt like the servers rushed us to finish food so they could clear the table. At one point they stood next to the table while we finished eating so they could take plates. They took our sake pitcher before it was empty and even cleared our utensils while we still had food on the table. Also, Our server didn't have much knowledge of the Signature Nobu dishes. I wanted seaweed salad but she was unaware of it and the chef was as well. What she ultimately brought me was seaweed chips instead of seaweed salad. Overall I think this place has potential but they have some refining to do.

Yelp
The wait is over! Nobu in Atlanta is finally open... I must say, I was impressed considering it just opened a few weeks ago. I've personally dined at the Chicago, Las Vegas, and Houston locations so I have a bit to compare it to. Parking was $15 for valet. I'm sure there was a self park option but not sure what all of that entailed. We had a Friday night 8:00pm reservation and was able to be seated about 5 mins early. When we arrived, the bar was packed which explains why it took so long for our drinks to arrive while we ate our meal. Don't expect drinks to come out immediately. We started off with the Rock Shrimp Tempura with Creamy Spicy sauce. One of my Nobu favorites! My husband and I hate sharing our faves so we ordered two! Next, the beef Kushiyaki was absolutely mind blowing with flavor. They look like little skewers to the eye, nothing impressive, but the flavor was amazing! I highly recommend that with the anticucho sauce (there's a few options) but listen to me, get the anticucho sauce. Mouth watering. Our drinks finally came and I went with the mango passion. Not too sweet, but sweet enough and actually a little thick. It was good. My husband loved the sidecar. You can't go wrong with either of those. House special sushi was really really good according to my husband. I don't eat sushi but he's an enthusiast so I take his word for it. Next, the black cod with miso was phenomenal. So full of flavor! I can't explain it but the as you know, cod is a very flakey fish and it was flavor packed in every flake. I wouldn't recommend the broccoli tempura. It's basically battered broccoli with a dipping sauce. Feel free to pass on that. Lastly, the spicy vegetables were great but definitely pack a punch if you're sensitive to spice. All in all, everything was great! Service is a little slow but it's to be expected. Give a little grace and enjoy the vibes. So happy that Nobu is finally in Atlanta.

Yelp
This place was beautiful ! Service was amazing. Our server (I believe her name was Christine) was super sweet the whole time. I've never been here before and she made me feel welcomed. Food wise, I was super undecided on what to get as everything on the menu sounded amazing, so I asked for her recommendation. She mentioned the sea bass and I figured why not! Truly, it did not disappoint. I'm so happy I went with her recommendation. She came over every time she saw my drink getting low and offered to get me another, which I appreciated. Can't say it enough how sweet she was and she made this experience so great. I did give it 4 stars because I called ahead of time to see what time Nobu closed and the lady that answered told me they seat people/ take reservations until 9:45. We got there at 9:30 and the host made me feel a little uncomfortable making a comment on how they close at 10 even though I had just called and was told it was still fine to come in.

Yelp
Went there for lunch to celebrate my birthday. Excellent service and food. The waitress recommended the bento box since it was my first time there which is kind of like a sampler. Excellent choice.

Yelp
Omg I can't stop thinking about what we ate last night!! Yesterday was our first time going to Nobu and we were not disappointed. We got the following.... Baby corn.....damn good!! Didn't expect it to be so good actually. Will order again. Fried okra.....INSANELY good. The spice and cook was perfect Crispy rice with spicy tuna....HOLY SHIT!!! This was my favorite thing. I could easily have eaten 3 more plates. A must have! Wagyu AND lobster tacos......the lobster was our favorite. Served cold and delicious. Highly recommend. Wagyu dumplings......these were good but honestly we will skip them next time. Salmon Avacado roll.....very good but for the most part pretty basic. I did like the ratio of rice though. Not too much. And finally Dessert. Vanilla Miso cake (I think that's what it was called) OMFG aaaaamazing. Seriously I made the most insane face after my first bite. Pure ecstasy. I totally had a "when Harry met Sally" moment Also a must have. Now let's talk about the service. FANTASTIC!! All of the staff were very attentive but not annoying. It was overall a wonderful experience and I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
As part of a wonderful staycation here in Atlanta, I decided to visit the Nobu Atlanta restaurant as part of my stay at the hotel. When I booked my stay, I looked for restaurant reservations and they were already booked out past the date of my stay. But luckily, the restaurant gives priority seating to their hotel guests. So I went to the hostess and she said we will put your name on the list but it shouldn't be long. Before I could walk out of the restaurant good, the hostess came running behind me saying she had a seat at the sushi bar, do I want it?! And of course I said yes! After being seated, I was greeted by the waiter who informed me that another waiter in training would be assisting him that evening. This was good to know! And as a patron at the sushi bar, I could order my sushi directly from the cook. And any drinks or hot food, I ordered from the waiter. Everything I ordered was brought out timely and presented nicely. During my visit, I had California Rolls from the sushi bar which was delicious! Also, I had a glass of wine, shrimp tempura which was also delicious. Unfortunately I wanted dumplings but they were out of them...sad face. Also, I had the Nobu Style Baked Alaska for dessert which was incredible! And as for the restaurant...the restaurant is pretty big in size but it is very busy especially on a Saturday evening. The ambiance was nice and relaxing which was great for conversations between friends or for a date night. Lastly, the temperate was decent. Not too cold or too hot! I would love to go back here for a nice date night!

Yelp
Let's just start with the conclusion: this restaurant is too darn expensive for horrible service and subpar food. We were seated around 8pm and did not leave until after 11pm - not because we were lingering but because service was super slow. Drinks: Lychee Martini was delicious Appetizer: Lobster taco & crispy fish taco were quite yummy, but they should've been called an amuse bouche, because they were bite sized. Sushi: California roll was good Entrees: Black Cod Miso -- couldn't tell you how it taste fresh from the kitchen because my order NEVER came and I finally just cancelled it. I also ordered the Mushroom dish because the entrees don't come with sides. I usually love mushrooms, but was not at all impressed with this dish and gave it to a friend. Dessert: Vanilla Tart -- literally took one bite and immediately determined that it wasn't good and not worth the calories. A friend wrote the blow by blow description below. I am the birthday girl that chose this spot. I feel so bad. Nobu-The Experience Arrive early and check in. Host says everything will be ready at 8. When almost everyone arrives I let the host know. He asks someone to check if the table is ready. She goes to check and returns as if she was never asked. Host sends someone else to check and he says it's not ready but another table is. He seats us. Waiter arrives at the table and starts rambling about the drink menu. A day later and I still don't know this man's name. He leaves to let us look over the drink menu. We place our orders and then have to ask for food menus. Food menus are brought to the table after the birthday girl finds him and asks again. He gives us the spiel about Nobu. He says he'll be back to take our orders. About fifteen minutes later he returns with half of our drinks and takes appetizer and sushi orders. One person also places an entree order. The birthday girl is ready to toast but only half of the table has drinks. I say toast with water because I see where this is going. Additional drinks probably arrive 15-20 minutes later. Entree orders are placed. Initial entree order arrives before the appetizers and sushi. Another drink order was placed at some point and the person that ordered the drink had to go to the bar to see why it hadn't arrived. Eventually someone from the bar brings the drink and noted that it was ridiculous that the person who ordered had to wait 25 minutes. (Person from bar saw the time the drink was rung in) Sushi and appetizers arrive. One sushi roll never arrived. Entrees start to arrive. Someone from management arrives to check in. Tell management about missing items. Three of us ordered soup and it still hadn't arrived. Miso soup comes out after speaking with management. Mushroom soup is supposed to take another 15 minutes. Fifteen minutes later soup arrives. Two minutes later someone snatches the soup saying it's not the right soup. Thirty minutes later correct soup arrives. Correct soup tastes like brown water with mushrooms floating in it. One person received the wrong entree and had to wait for correct entree to be prepared. Waiter reappears and says he did his research and they added pieces of missing sushi roll to the sushi rolls that were already served. Management comes by later to see what is missing with the itemized check in hand and confirms the sushi roll was never put on the ticket. The correct entree arrives and tastes really good. The birthday girl never received her entree. We were at the table from 8:00 pm until 11:15 pm. At one point I thought we were going to have to spend the night because service was so slow. The sushi was okay. The non-spicy food was bland. I don't eat spicy food so I can't confirm but I heard the spicy food was good. Also the sea bass was tasty. The vegetables served with the sea bass were spicy so I'm putting it in the spicy column.

Yelp
I was visiting my daughter in the ATL. She lives very close to Nobu. Everything about this experience was perfect. Food, service, and ambience was above and beyond! Our server gave us recommendations and we followed all of them. We can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Chilean Seabass was amazing. The service was great and the ambiance was amazing. I recommend adding a side of rice with your seabass it's the perfect touch
