We were a group of eight adults and two children — a full table, ready for a feast.
The moment we stepped in, it felt like the doors to a sensory wonderland had opened.
Even the elevator set the tone: a subtle, woodsy scent filled the air, perfectly complementing its warm wooden interior.
And the welcome? Warmer than a peak summer day in Dubai.
Then the food started rolling in.
First up, the spicy edamame — a multitextural delight. The sweet-salty-spicy glaze gave way to the bright, satisfying pop of fresh soybeans.
The appetizers were standout — memorable from first to last bite. We began with the signature salmon sashimi: clean, fresh, iconic. Then came the crispy squid with coriander, followed by the salmon and chicken tacos — both flavorful, but the salmon won me over.
But if there’s one dish I could eat on repeat, it’s the crispy shiitake salad with goma truffle dressing. An absolute gem. Every bite was a hit of umami — rich, earthy, and indulgent. A flavor bomb disguised as a salad.
Next came a selection of sushi, each piece carefully crafted and elevated by fresh wasabi. Simple, refined, unforgettable.
The mains kept the magic going. The miso black cod was pure decadence — sweet, savory, and buttery-soft. The beef tenderloin was impossibly tender, the chicken teriyaki skewers sweet and juicy, the lamb chops perfectly cooked. The lobster tempura was a lovely surprise — light, crisp, and delicate.
Rounding off the experience were equally standout desserts. My favorite? The soft serve banoffee — a medley of sweet, salt, crunch, and cool. Pure joy in a bowl.
The menu is thoughtfully designed with something for every palate, and the team made sure to check in on dietary needs and allergies — a small but important touch.
Service? Flawless. We felt so well taken care of from the moment we arrived. Huge thanks to Aaron (the manager), Chefs Iwata and Doruk, and the ever-attentive Joy and her team.
A truly memorable weekend — thank you, Nobu Dubai!
