LA’s Late Night Eatery Goes All-In With Stoner-Friendly Comfort Food | Eater LA

"Opened March 21 in Pico-Union, this delivery-only and pickup kitchen focuses on late-night comfort food for people who want to eat past 10 p.m. The menu highlights non-traditional burritos (including a steak with tater tots), customizable bowls with choice of protein plus jalapeño, scallions, and salsa, and indulgent sides and snacks like loaded waffle fries, queso, sodas, cookies, and brownies. Run by Dana Kippeland and Ryan Nanni after an initial launch in Boynton Beach, Florida, the Los Angeles service kitchen is a new cloud-kitchen operation that shares space with other delivery concepts such as Steve Aoki’s Pizzaoki, Fat Sal’s, and Coolhaus. Delivery is offered via Uber Eats, Postmates, DoorDash, and Grubhub from a location on Washington near Normandie (covering USC, Downtown, Koreatown, and West Adams, with Uber Eats delivering up to six miles), and the spot also accepts walk-up pickups. Current hours are Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday 6 p.m.–2 a.m. and Thursday–Saturday 7 p.m.–3:30 a.m., with plans to expand to nightly service." - Mona Holmes

Love the “Truck Norris” burger, and the fries are always piping hot and crispy. So good! And the service is always friendly and fast. Today our wonderful server even brought us out some free nuggets, which were amazing. My teen said, “this is the best chicken nugget I’ve ever had,” which is a high compliment.

Chef Preston - BRAVO!! You did a FANTASTIC JOB serving our hungry employees at FireGuard!! You were a one-man crew and you pulled it off!! Everyone enjoyed the food and the selection was perfect. We will be having Nocturnal Eats come back in the near future!! Have Nocturnal Eats at your job site and you will not disappointed!!

They did it again!! Chef Preston at Nocturnal Eats Foodtruck must have played baseball back in the days because this LOADED FRIES is a home run, straight out the park. I can’t describe the flavor because it is out of this world, something extraordinary, extraterrestrial. The heat’s, the crunch, the beef, bacon, and the sauce. I had to do the Rick Flare (woo) when I got done. Nothing was left, even the puppy next to me couldn’t find a crumb on the floor. ALL MINE, IT’S ALL MINE! Thanks again Chef, keep up the great dishes!!!!

I absolutely love this food truck! The chef’s fried chicken is the best I’ve had in the metro area. The burgers are big and always cooked to perfection. The owners are always so appreciative of your business. Luv me some Nocturnal Eats!!❤️

I don't write many reviews but this is seriously the best burger in omaha. Everything about it is just perfect! Great ingredients, perfect Maillard on the burgers, the chicken sandwiches are also amazing! Super thick and juicy, the "bird sauce" is so good with everything but on the sandwiches it is life changing... if you're looking for the best burger or chicken sandwich in omaha you NEED to check this place out!

In response to the reviewer unable to find Nocturnal’s location—it’s wild, I’ve never had to use my magic wand to summon them. It’s almost like I use my eyes to *read the location* of the truck, on social media. User error is tough. Anyway, I digress. Don’t be dissuaded by angry boomers—these dudes are the real deal. Preston & Sarah are personable, tenured industry vets with years of experience between them. Sarah is always there to greet you, expedite your order, and keep the flow. Preston can be found in his natural habitat—by the hot stuff. You can taste the love in this food. You can taste the experience. The knowledge. The culinary finesse this truck puts into every meal exceeds what you’d expect out of something on wheels. Then again, some of Omaha’s finest cuisine is coming from mobile units. Nocturnal Eats is certainly no exception. Find them, try them, love them. Share a smile, because they’ve got plenty to give.

They have one of the best burgers I've ever eaten: The Vader. WOW is this a good burger! It has caramelized onions, jalapenos, bacon and lots of cheese. Seriously one of the best burgers I've EVER had. You should definitely try it. The Tuck Norris burger on the other hand was a good burger but nothing memorable. It was definitely better than something you'd find at a fast food joint due to its jalapeno cream cheese but nowhere close to being worth the $14 you'll pay for it. In the photo is the Vader Burger. "Luuuuke, I am your BURGER! Eat me now!"
