"This Shaw newcomer, tucked below its sibling Sugar Shack, pushes a cocktail-tasting format (with a late-night a la carte option coming soon). This bright idea includes mezcal, avocado suze, honey, and lime." - Tierney Plumb

"One of the specialty drinks in the tasting flights at Nocturne is called Run, Tina, Run; it’s made with spicebush and wild rice horchata ($35 per flight). There’s also a chilled coffee liqueur bomb for those who prefer cold cocktails." - Lani Furbank

Small place, about 20 people max but the drinks were very good and unique. Plan to be here a while as the drinks take some time to come but the experience is worth it. You can get a drink flight for $45. You pick an area of the world and get different drinks based on that

I really don’t want to spoil too much of this experience but Nocturne is the real deal. Limited seating makes for an intimate experience. The bar director was so knowledgeable and kind. Drinks were wildly interesting. I will certainly be back. I also highly recommend a reservation, it makes things much easier.

Cozy upscale cocktail bar hidden inside a Sugar shack off U st. When you arrive tell the sugar shack worker you have a reservation. Yes, you need a reservation. The bar fits about 17 people. The bartenders are amazing. Stick to the menu. It’s carefully crafted with a lot of thought. If you come here you should definitely be willing to try new things. The bartenders were amazingly patient and gracious. I would absolutely return.

A true mixology experience - this was undoubtedly one of the greatest drinking experiences I’ve ever had the pleasure of living through. I had that confirmed after ordering the Vasco de Gama, a curiously delicious concoction consisting of mezcal, tomato, corn, mascarpone, Parmesan cheese, and more! As many of the reviews points out, there’s a “reputation” the two bartenders have going for them. Don’t try to make conversation, enjoy your experience, and grab a donut on the way out.

Good service, cool concept, but too pretentious of a vibe. I couldn’t just order a simple glass of white wine; also, no food unless you want to order from the donut shop on the top level. Nocturne was an interesting experience but I won’t go back.

Modern speakeasy vibe! All of their cocktails are $16. They don’t serve food since they don’t have kitchen inside. I plan to visit again to try more cocktails! Also don’t forget to make a reservation at least a day in advance.

Im so glad we chose to start our night here. I've been to plenty of legit speakeasy type cocktail spots. This one had elite level drinks but the service and atmosphere is what set it apart. Not pretentious in any way. In fact, the bartenders were accepting, knowledgeable, and outgoing. Their menu is separated by region and they have a mini story for each regional flight. The story is a bit quirky but so fun if you just go with it. Trendy space as well. I will be back.

This bar will not disappoint with regard to drinks. There cocktails were fantastic and the presentation was first rate. Don't come expecting much in the way of food. We happened to be there on one of the last nights of their menu before changing over to another, so they were out of a few things. That said, we were not aware of that at the start of the evening, so it was fine. The service was great, very cool and smooth. Well totally be back!
