"Noka Ramen is known both for its Hakata-style tonkotsu ramen and a viral Twitter thread two months into the restaurant’s run, which detailed how Noka staffers helped save a woman from an attacker — all while dressed up as characters from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers for Halloween. Heroics aside, ramen is the thing to get, although there are certainly other tempting dishes to order, such as a lobster shio ramen and the Noka Burger, which comes with a wagyu beef patty and chashu. The cocktails are also worth a spin, with some fun, over-the-top options such as the Noka Ranger, which is (appropriately) served in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers-like tiki mugs." - Dianne de Guzman, Caleb Pershan

"From the restaurant team that made its brand aesthetic “too-many-faux tropical plants-and neon-lights” comes Noka Ramen. It’s located in Jack London Square, right around the corner from sister spot Farmhouse Kitchen. And while you can (and should) fill up on perfectly great bowls of tonkotsu ramen with the usual fixings, consider ordering the crispy brussels sprouts covered in sticky soy glaze, corn with spicy aioli, and a $56 dollar shio lobster ramen that’s large enough for two. As one might expect from a place that projects nature videos and anime on the wall, this place serves cocktails in Power Rangers mugs and cat copperware, and drinks garnished with salted caramel popcorn cones." - Lani Conway

"Ploi Pirapokin was happily surprised when she showed up for dinner at two-month-old Noka Ramen in Oakland and saw her server wearing a Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers costume. She happened to catch the staff on the first day they decided to wear the costumes to work, a goofy way the team hoped to bring in more customers on Fridays." - Paolo Bicchieri

Such a cute spot. Definitely returning with the boys here since they love power rangers and Pokémon. If you don't want to wait, better make a reservation. Quick service, friendly staff. One of the best edemame I ever had. Love their power ranger drinks and Pokémon cocktails. Ramen is so flavorful . Definitely be back to try other food on their menu and cocktails for sure.

Wow.. 10/10. Great place to go eat Ramen, they have Anime themes some days. I tried the Spyce Ramen 👌🏻 and I loved it. The service was excellent, EVERYONE was very attentive. I will definitely be back. I recommend making a reservation.

Google
Loved every thing about the place. The setting is amazing. The food amazing!!! Great service and I love how understanding and friendly they all were. Thank you for not charging me for a drink I thought it was a drink and it ended up being a cocktail. I will forsure recommend this place to my family and friends.

Google
Finally!!! I have been looking for ramen on par with Underbelly in San Diego for over ten years, and finally a place comes to the bay area that is truly 11 outta 10!! I like spicy, so I got their spicy ramen, and it was so (insert F bomb here) goooood!!!! And it was legit spicy, so be warned. My homie got the fancy pancy lobster dish, and OMFG was it on point! The flavor lived up to the amazeballs presentation!! We also did two flights of sake (recommend getting one per person, not great for sharing) and the very cool anime figures made for great pics to match the memories!! The savoriness in the broth left me wondering, "how?? Just how do they get so much rich flavor packed into such a light and smooth broth?? Distillation of unicorn blood??" You better believe I'll be back, and if you know what's good for you then maybe I'll see you there. Big props to Noka!!!!

Google
Highly recommend if you love delicious food and having a wonderful time with great service! We celebrated my husband birthday at Noka Ramen and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we have an awesome dinner. The food was extremely good, drinks were fun and the atmosphere was pleasant. Every single person who helped us at the restaurant was so nice and accommodating that we didn't have to worry about any details for our celebration. The waitress with their power rangers suits made our night, and don't get me started on the happy birthday performance 😄 WE LOVED IT!! The prices are reasonable for the amazing quality of food you get. They have a cutting fee for the cake (2.50 per person), but I didn't mind paying since the service was so great. Great job Noka Ramen!!!

Our family celebrated my daughter's birthday here! It was great in all areas of our experience. We will return!!!

Google
The ramen was incredible. The meat was tender, the broth was tasty, the noodles perfect and it was a great price, but the fried ice cream sandwich blew me away so leave room at the end! Staff was very friendly, attentive and the ambience was a great vibe!

Google
Had a great meal here! We started with the most delicious Brussels sprouts either of us have ever had. Then, we had the spicy ramen and black garlic Tonkatsu ramen, both seriously tasty! We also tried the Sailor Moon sparkling water—super cute and yummy. The place was adorable, the service was fantastic, and the ambiance just makes you smile. Definitely recommend checking this place out for a nice meal and a fun time.

Yelp
The place is beautiful, clean, and the service is top notch especially Noah; he was so respectful. The drinks were good and the ramen was even better!

Yelp
Noka Ramen might just be the *best ramen spot* in the East Bay area! From the moment you step inside, the experience is nothing short of exceptional. The freshly made noodles are a standout--perfectly cooked, springy, and undeniably fresh. The broth is rich, flavorful, and served piping hot, ensuring every bite is satisfying. Plus, the portion sizes are generous, leaving no chance you'll leave hungry. Despite its popularity and the hustle of a packed house, the servers manage to provide excellent service with efficiency and a smile. Yes, the place isn't the largest, so a 20-minute wait during peak hours is to be expected, but the food is worth every second. While the prices are on the higher side, they're clearly displayed, and the quality justifies the cost. It's truly an experience! Speaking of which, if you're celebrating a birthday, be ready for a high-energy celebration with drums and a lively rendition of "Happy Birthday" that makes the moment unforgettable. The themed atmosphere is a delight. Servers dressed as characters from shows like *Power Rangers* and *Pokémon* add a fun, playful vibe to the dining experience, and the TV playing family-friendly shows ensures everyone, from kids to adults, is entertained. Overall, Noka Ramen is not just about great food but a full-on dining adventure. Highly recommend it for anyone in search of delicious ramen and a unique, memorable time!

Yelp
Food was great! Went with a bigger party and they were very accommodating and service was fast. Got the tonkatsu ramen with an extra egg- the egg was my favorite part, gooey inside and sweet and savory. The broth had that deep rich fatty taste you look for in a good ramen and the noodles were delicious, a bit thin but had a good chew. Tried a pork bao and gyoza as apps and they were tasty. The ambience is nice, kind of an island decor with anime accents here and there.

Neesh S.

Yelp
Super fun place to have some great Ramen and more! We stopped in after a long day in Jack London and we were starving. We didn't know what we were getting into. I think my favorite part is that Noka is very honest with what they are. Delicious food yes, but they really want to showcase their culture. Its bright, its lively, its fun, there's anime, there's sake, there's so much happening! BUT, the food and service are both awesome. I usually am let down by veggie ramen but Noka had a very delicious bowl, with a superb broth. Couple that with a fun drink menu that has so many options and you've got yourself a great meal, a great story and a great experience.

Christine L.

Yelp
What a fun and trendy restaurant! Definitely an exciting and enjoyable experience for anyone. When I found out that the creators of Farmhouse Kitchen were the masterminds behind Noka, I wasn't surprised at all. They certainly know how to make a fun menu and dinner experience! The shop has colorful lighting inside with neon lights and an "IG backdrop" for your post-dinner photos. It's also pop culture themed with Pokemon highballs (that come with a Pokemon card), Sailor Moon sake flights, and extremely creative Asian-inspired drinks. The menu is a bit overwhelming because the graphics are so colorful and large, so it might take you a while to figure out what you want. However, the food was solid. We shared karaage which was decently sized and juicy with good meat/breading ratio. For my main, I got the black garlic tonkatsu ramen and it was decent, but the pork was a bit too fatty for my tastes. The prices are about what you'd expect from the area. I'd definitely come back for the fun ambiance and experience -- but I think in terms of food quality it doesn't beat Farmhouse Kitchen!

Yelp
Okay lemme start off by saying I'm biased b/c I know this place is Thai owned. BUT this really is a fun place to eat and enjoy time with people and also not feel isolated from other patrons. The servers are so nice and when they sing happy birthday to other people you can't help but want to join in! I've been here a few times and had chosen it as the place to go after getting results for the Bar exam (lawyer exam) b/c I knew that if I failed, this place would lift my spirits and if I passed, this place would match my spirits! Thankfully I passed lol. Got the spicy miso ramen and it was yum. I will say this, the food isn't the most spectacular part, I wouldn't say it's the best ramen I've ever had. but it's good and again if you're looking for a fun place to get decent food, come here! The drinks are cute, the staff are sweet, the space is vibrant and it's hard to haven a bad time when servers are wearing power ranger costumes!

Lunell G.

Yelp
The staff friendly, the decor is fire!!! First time and the experience was great. My lil cousin loved it , I guess each weekend it's a different theme with characters and kids drinks. Appetizers- sliced corn, shrimp dish, edamame. I had the charcoal crab ramen, burger and beef Ramen

Paulo P.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious bowls of ramen! On a bit of the pricier side for their items but it's understandable for where they're at location wise. I've never had a shoyu ramen that tasted this good, I'm normally not a fan of shoyu broths but this was excellent and I'll need to come back here soon!

Larry C.

Yelp
This place is over the top, in a fun way! Like the other Farmhouse Kitchen spots this place is full of color and pop culture, somewhere along the axes of anime and power rangers. very entertaining (see photo). The staff was friendly, and dressed up in Pokémon outfits. We had the classic tonkatsu and the gyoza ramens. Very tasty, I think we agreed the classic was better. A nice slice of fatty pork in that one. Several gyozas in mine, all very good, but still the classic was the best. A fun destination if you're looking for something out of the ordinary!

Yelp
Came here for lunch with a couple of friends to try the SpongeBob collaboration. It was my first time here and even at 1 pm, there were plenty of seats on the weekend. I love their Mt. Fuji logo - very cute. The inside is set up similarly to Son & Garden with the same neon sign ("Hello Gorgeous") in a corner on a wall of faux foliage for the IG. There's less pink here and more figures and stuffed animals (like Macaws!) with a big screen playing subbed Sailormoon episodes. This place has a Sailormoon themed flight of cocktails and a pokémon themed flight of cocktails. The waitresses wore school girl uniforms and the waiter wore a sailor top with black pants. So we sit down and order our SpongeBob collaboration. There were a few waiters working but even so, we had to flag them down multiple times just to get a refill of water. Service could definitely be better and this seems to be a floor management issue. I would suggest they set pitchers of water down at each table because more often than not, I heard many tables asking for water and being annoyed about the delay. The food here is pretty greasy and heavy so the water is a must. While waiting, we ate complimentary truffle oiled edamame. Our food came out and the boxes were nicely kept clean and the presentation was neat. If you are looking to collect the box as a keepsake, this is the place to go. Our boxes were also labeled with our adjustments to combat mixed ups. Compared to Son and Garden, the burger and fries here trumps them cleanly. The patty was seasoned, the pork chashu was cooked just right, and the aioli sauce provided a mild kick. It's 1000 Island based so the flavor is a little strong. I had mine placed on the side. The fries were cooked perfectly but was a little too oily. I bit into one and oil flew across the table. It could have used longer draining. Overall, my table was very satisfied and felt our $26 was well spent. At end, we picked up some appropriately placed Krusty Krab burger candy to end the meal. I would recommend this restaurant if you had to choose one place to come to for the SpongeBob anniversary collaboration.

Yelp
Decor was very unique and enjoyable for the Pokémon Sunday only themed dining. Friday is power ranger theme, Saturday is Sailor Moon theme, and Sunday is Pokémon theme. We came for Pokémon theme but could not order beverages without alcohol to get a Pokémon card. It would be nice if there were other options aside from alcohol since it is Pokémon theme day. Food serving size is big and matches with the price. The edamame has a strong scent that wasn't my favorite. Ramen was delicious. Service was excellent. Place needs more ventilation. There is a parking garage right next to restaurant.

Cat C.

Yelp
Best beef ramen I've ever had. I get it every time despite the fire gimmick. Wouldn't mind paying $10 less if it meant removing the 151+ fire effects, but it is what it is and it's delicious. Cocktails are great. Happy Hour deals are very reasonable. Old-school anime always playing over the projector. Don't think I've ever seen the employees not dress up in semi-cosplay attire. Was afraid this restaurant was going to just be flashy and not good, but it's flashy AND the food is pretty amazing. I love it and I hope it is here to stay for the long run.

Yelp
I saw on my friend's story with their Sailor Moon sake, looked up their menu and saw that they had Power Ranger cocktail. I knew I had to come try this place. Their food is more on the pricey side but it's well worth it. My girlfriend and I made reservations for 5pm, it was quick to be seated when the doors open but as we were finishing up, there was a good amount of people waiting. I really like the ambiance inside, it was very cute! They had Doraemon playing on the TV, their staff was dressed as Power Rangers and whenever someone entered, they would shout welcome in Japanese. We got the bento box to share and the portions were smaller but it was enough to fill both of us. Their classic tonkotsu ramen was so flavorful. Unfortunately, they didn't have tuna tartare which is what my girlfriend really wanted to try. Their cocktails were good but it wasn't anything super fancy. Had the passional fruit highball and Power Ranger cocktail which is similar to a margarita. Lastly, we ordered from the happy hour menu a karaage, really juicy meat and fried perfectly. I really liked that before happy hour ended, the staff went around for last call. Extremely great customer service and I can't wait to be back to try more food! Sad that they were out of the pink power ranger tiki cups because someone stole it. Whoever you are, that was so not cool. These tiki cups are expensive!!

Yelp
This was my first time visiting Noka Ramen, and what made me pay a visit was the SpongeBob Collab Krabby Patty. At Noka Ramen they serve the Krabby Patty with Charsiu pork, wagyu beef, and their sauce which made for one of the best burgers i've ever had. Service was friendly and fast. The restaurant is beautiful but having Amtrak passing through every 15 to 30 minutes is quite annoying but nothing that is of fault to Noka. I can't wait to try the other food as well as the ramen, because if it's anything like their burger, it's AMAZING.

Yelp
My friends & I decided to come here after work for dinner. I was expecting to wait a bit as it is 7pm on a Friday night. As we arrived, there were already quite a few tables seated with 3 employees checking in on everyone. We waited approx 2 mins before being seated. 10/10. It's an anime theme restaurant so the decor was also 10/10. The employees were dressed in power ranger uniforms which I thought added a nice touch to the theme of the restaurant. For the food, we ordered the corn ribs & truffle fries for appetizers. The short rib mazesoba, my friend originally wanted the Ikari ramen but ordered the shoyu ramen instead. Luckily she didn't order it due to the waitress's guidance as the ramen is spicy and my friend can't eat spicy at all & recommended the shoyu as it's similar just w/o the spice. SO THANK YOU. My other friend ordered their black garlic tonkatsu. Upon trying the soup for each of them as mines was a dry noodle. The broth was very clean tasting and refreshing. No taste of any oiliness but abundant with flavor! The truffle fries and corn ribs came out pretty quick and piping hot which I appreciate!! I just wish that the corn ribs had more cheese sprinkled on each piece overall, 9/10. The only low rating I would give are the drinks, they are very aesthetically pleasing & creative, they're good but not great. I ordered the paper crane, I wanna say 6/10 My friends ordered the hibiscus lychee highball and their passion fruit highball 7/10. They were pretty but not so memorable compared to the food. However, this won't stop me from coming here and trying whatever else they have on their drink and food menu!

Stephanie A.

Yelp
Food was decent. We tried their shrimp pops & it didn't impress me.. service was attentive and friendly. I liked that our server asked what they could do better with the shrimp pops we tried. Ramen broth was flavorful and developed. I give their pork chasu 7.5/10. We had their passion fruit orange spritzer and it tasted more orange than passion fruit. Ambiance was cute, it's def decorated inside and showing anime on the screen!

Rachel D.

Yelp
I forgot to take a picture of the actual ramen. Black garlic Ramen and Spicy Miso are good options. The classic tonkatsu wasn't bad either. Service was great and ambiance is beautiful due to decor.

Angela C.

Yelp
Would have given 5 stars but the prices just seemed a bit much. Just like their sister restaurant Farmhouse Kitchen, all their dishes are well thought out, flavorful, and super well presented. I particularly enjoyed their chicken karrage and the seafood ramen. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and they usually have themed drinks but you can't take the decorations (in your drink) home. They also wanted to charge me for a togo box It's cool once in a blue moon but idk if people would go here regularly cuz it's quite pricey for the food. I still love their family of restaurants though and their flavors, taste, quality can always be trusted

Allan N.

Yelp
Really unique and fun spot for ramen; the sailor moon sake flight says it all. I personally got the ikari ramen which is one of their flagship specials topped with slices of steak and 151 rum that they light on fire in front of you. It was entertaining and cool to try, but I don't think I'd go for it again - it was a bit too boozy for my liking even after the rum burnt off. I think the black garlic and spicy miso broths were solid with tender meats; and the edamame that's served for free is mixed with truffle oil which I absolutely ate up.

Cindy L.

Yelp
Ramen was pretty decent. It looks pretty spicy but it wasn't very spicy. The hakata style noodles reminded me of Ichiran and I quite enjoyed it. Wish the broth had more depth of flavor though. They also had complimentary edamame and they were quite tasty. The hibiscus lychee drink was more hibiscus flavored than lychee and was less sweet than expected but still very good. The Pokémon card was quite cute as well. I recommend giving this place a try as this is a super cute spot. The interior is super color and very Japanese themed. If you like anime, Pokémon, and sailor moon, this is right up your alley.

Sarah S.

Yelp
Left socal 2 years ago and still in search of a good ramen place. I think I found the one!!! If you know RakiRaki in San Diego, and that's bar, then YES! Lessggooo Black Garlic Ramen!!

Lizzie T.

Yelp
Came for the krabby patty, but was sold out. Super bummed and wished they announced that on their website since it was a far drive for me. Yes, i drove 45 mins for it. LOL Decided to stay and try the shoyu ramen and chicken karaage since i can't handle spicy. It was okay, but super fast service and very friendly staff. The place isn't big, but very cute decor. A lil noisy bc the train that comes by. If I'm in the area next time i'll try the sailor flights. It is pricey so i would lean more towards 3.5 stars and for selling out the things i would have ordered. On Sunday's, theres a small farmers market nearby. And a nice walk along the area.

Francina L.

Yelp
First time trying Noka Ramen. Was looking at Yelp for a good spot in Jack London square and realized I hadn't heard or seen this place before. Three of us walked in on a Tuesday afternoon for dinner. Wasn't packed but it's also a big space. We saw immediately this place is very well decorated and is similar theme to farm house. They have a projector on one of the walls playing anime and I love it. We decided to order the ume highball and pass fruit highballs that come with a Pokémon card. The Pokémon card was such a cute touch and the drinks were very tasty. We also ordered the black garlic tonkatsu ramen, spicy miso ramen and truffle fries. Our order came out very quick and everything was fresh and delicious. Their fries have that super crunchy outside texture with that fluffy soft inside which is hard to find and I love. The ramen brother was SO delicious, as well as their pork belly. This place is really good and now I wanna go back haha

Yelp
Glad this type of place still exists in Oakland , as the area can be pretty sketchy so keep your guard up and don't come alone. First of all it's amazing looking, good parking out front on weekdays. We sat down right away and was in Aw with the menu. It's not boring at all. Don't recommend driving in because of all the amazing drink they have . The ramen was very full and huge portions , expect to spend around 80 to 100 for 2 if you get appetizers . You can add whatever extra to your ramen. I got the classic and it was so so good. I'm in japan a lot so I appreciate this places theme. I'm bias so I won't compare ramen with Japan but this place would survive and thrive if it were in Tokyo. Service was awesome.

Sabrina C.

Yelp
Party of 7 for a bday lunch. We made a reservation and upon arrival were sat quickly as it was for a late lunch spot at 2 and they close at 3 for break. Hostess was welcoming. We were sat at nice setting. The restaurant is cute. Photo opportunity set ups. Very colorful. Our server came right over. He was attentive, polite, funny and helpful. We ordered 2 kids meals, 4 ramen bowls, 2 appetizers, 3 cocktails, 1 beer, the Sailor Moon Saki Flight and a dessert. All of the food was good. Price for the majority of items is fine but the steak ramen is a little high for the amount of steak and flavor. Our bill with tip was $365. I would go back to try other stuff.

Koko M.

Yelp
Discover the spot on an absolute whim after enjoying a local taproom that doesn't serve its own food. Indulging a little bit too much and needed to put something on our stomach so we hopped on Yelp and found this spot not knowing what to expect. It was only a couple blocks walk and pass people walking their dogs. Parents and kids with strollers super chill area even though it looked industrial upon first arriving. It is located in Jack London Square area. So super easy to find parking and then just walk to where you need to be. They have indoor and outdoor seating with heaters as necessary. As you walk in your greeted by anime figurines, and the friendly greeting of the Ramen bar. we were quickly seated by an Instagram-ready hello gorgeous backdrop (see photos). The menu is pretty extensive but zazzy, modern and fun! there's a lot of things that were very new combinations and we weren't sure what we wanted to choose. There's plans to come back to continue to explore the menu. While we were getting down on our food and laughing and having a blast. Pokémon popped out to photo op and mingle with the kids! so if you're not into that kind of thing, make sure to sit outside. The service was fast, friendly and just the right amount of a attentive. I don't want to mention any specific food because it was literally all amazing and I think everything that we saw deserved a try! Keep up the great work and love the beautiful flower arrangements on the outside tables. Gorgeous touch.

Yelp
Noka Ramen is located in Jack London Square. This is a pretty busy area, especially on weekends and weeknights, so parking may be hit or miss - you may park in the parking garage across the street or find street parking nearby. Service was good, hence the 4 stars, instead of 3 stars - our waiter was attentive and came back to refill our waters multiple times. I love how aesthetically pleasing and beautiful the restaurant is, it gives you an outdoor feel with all the floral arrangements and such. The anime theme definitely takes me back to my childhood from the Pokemon to Power Rangers to Sailor Moon, etc. and they had Doraemon playing on the TV as well in the background. I honestly came for the Noka Burger AKA the Pikachu Burger, which comes with a grilled Wagyu beef patty, Chashu, Noka spicy aioli, arugula, crispy leek, and cheddar with a side of fries - I ordered it medium. I also tried their Bento Box Dinner with the Spicy Miso Ramen. Honestly, the food was a bit underwhelming - the presentation was nice, but taste wise, it was alright. The burger was a bit on the dry / salty side for some reason, instead of juicy and the bun was a bit dry / plain and definitely toasted a bit more. The ramen was decent, it had a good spice to it, but it was on the saltier side. Overall, it is one of the spots that I would go for the aesthetics and experience, but I do not know if I would go again - the ambience and service definitely makes up for the food.

Yelp
Super cute spot! Food and customer service were amazing! Will come back next time I'm in the Bay Area! Oh! Quick service as well!

Jessica W.

Yelp
The restaurant is really cute, has a fun vibe, and food is great. Staff is very friendly. Love that it had a sailor moon theme when we went. It has lots of fun drinks options too. We got a lychee highball drink and it was delicious. For food, we got Ikari steak ramen, Crabby ramen, truffle oil fries. Truffle oil fries Very well fried, love how crispy it is, yet doesn't feel oily at all. The sauce that came with it is so good too. Ikari It's definitely on the spicier side than we are used to. The quality of the meat and everything is great. Has a strong flavor as well. Crabby I love crab and corn so this ramen is right up my alley. The broth is fantastic with the ramen, it has a great umami. The crab is good too, but I do wish it comes with some sauce to dip with since I think most of the flavor went into the broth instead. I've eaten here a lot via DoorDash prior to coming for dine-in, and I usually just get their black garlic tonkatsu ramen / bento box set, and they were great too.

Alice H.

Yelp
From reservation to table, our experience was flawless. Remember to be punctual for your reservation with the full party, as they do enforce a late fee policy. The ambiance was inviting, making it an ideal spot for both intimate dates and lively gatherings. There's convenient underground public parking nearby, alleviating any worries about finding a place to park. The Black Garlic Tonkotsu ramen was a symphony of flavors, with tender braised pork belly, marinated soft-boiled egg, and a rich broth that left me craving more. The portion was generous, ensuring I left completely satisfied. The Chicken Karaage was a delightful twist on a classic dish. The crispy Japanese fried chicken paired perfectly with the spicy aioli and Nori seaweed, creating a burst of flavors with every bite. The Gyoza - the Japanese Kurobuta heritage pork filling was seasoned to perfection, and the dumplings were cooked to a golden crisp. I also had their iconic Noka Ranger cocktail. This refreshing concoction, with its blend of passion fruit, orgeat, lime, and shichi umami salt, was the perfect complement to our feast. Its unique flavors danced on my palate and added an extra layer of enjoyment to an already fantastic dining experience. Friendly waiter, attentive service. We'll be back for more!

Yelp
Finally visited Noka Ramen and it did not disappoint. The ambiance was amazing, their decor was clean and so cool. The anime dressed characters were really cool as well and definitely went with the theme. Customer service was amazing and they were very attentive. We ordered truffle fries, the black garlic tonkotsu with charcoal noodles, and ikari steak with vegetable broth. Food was definitely good the black garlic ramen was really really tasty and I'm glad I changed it to the charcoal noodles. Even the Ikari Ramen which is what my boyfriend ordered was really good. I got one of their I think Yuzu alcoholic beverage with a random pokemon card which was really cool and the drink was really tasty. Not to strong just a perfect amount. I will definitely return here as they have so much items on their menu and I am looking forward to try out their other items.

Yelp
My friends and I went here because we just had to go for Sailor Moon Saturdays- we're huge fans of Sailor Moon! Noka Ramen is located close to Jack London Square. I made a reservation for 4, and the restauraunt seems to get pretty busy. The decor inside is very pretty, and there's areas where you can do a small photo op. The staff were dressed in Sailor Senshi outfits! Classic Sailor Moon R episodes were being played in the background. They also have Pokémon Sundays too, something I'll have to check out in the future. I enjoyed the ramen along with some small bites my friends ordered. The ramen is on the pricier side (I think around $18-19), but everything was tasty and mine was topped with a nice, big slab of chashu. As for the drinks presentation, 10/10! I really enjoyed my Ume Hi Pokémon highball, the flavors complemented each other well and was very zesty and refreshing. The Sailor Moon Sake flight was very pretty, but there were a few that we didn't care much for the taste. I think my favorite one was Mercury's and Venus'. Staff are very friendly here! I would come back again, but maybe for a special occasion since the food is a bit on the pricey side.

Yelp
Such a cute spot. Definitely returning with the boys here since they love power rangers and Pokémon. If you don't want to wait, better make a reservation. Quick service, friendly staff. One of the best edemame I ever had. Love their power ranger drinks and Pokémon cocktails. Ramen is so flavorful . Definitely be back to try other food on their menu and cocktails for sure.

Yelp
First time coming, friendly staff on a Thursday night as the Ramen was amazing and the desert. I loved the theme and I would highly recommend coming here !

Yelp
Consistently good service and good food. I really love the decor inside and the themes they got going on. When I went last weekend, it was Pokémon themed with the hidden Pokémon around the restaurant and the ash kechum outfits. There was even a surprise visit from Pikachu! There is outdoor seating- I have brought my dog before and it was chill. :) Parking - street parking. Metered for M-Sat, can be busy sometimes but the area is consistently not too bad. Food- - I've gotten some specials before but even the classic tonkotsu ramen is good. The pork belly is nice and smokey. The truffle fries are so good- they were fried perfectly. Can't wait to come back for more of their drinks- I really want the sailor moon flight

Yelp
Noka surprised me! I didn't know what to expect, but I knew this was Farmhouse Thai's Ramen shop, and although FHT typically delivers in flavor and dishes, I wasn't sure how their ramen shop would taste. FOOD: Like FHT fashion, they offer traditional ramen bowels in addition to bougie dishes such as Wagyu or Lobster ramen with matching $$$ price tag. They also offer plenty of unique cocktails and have themed cocktail flights. My friend and I opt to try out their traditional ramen to get a baseline taste of their ramen. + Black Garlic Tonkatsu: this was so creamy and flavorful. The soy egg was cooked to perfection and was perfectly runny. There was a good amount of chasu and greens. + Fried Ice Cream: this was my first time eating fried ice cream like a sandwich, but it was delicious. + The matcha tiramisu: very good as well We really wanted to try their matcha kakigori, but their ice machine was broken. I will have to return to try this. SERVICE: Very good and friendly servers :) AMBIANCE: If you've been to FHT, the decor is very similar and equally as aesthetically pleasing :) Not the biggest spot, so many times there is always a wait. They also have rotating themes, when we went - it was sailor moon & friends.

Yelp
Went here for my friend's bday dinner. Glad I was able to get reservations the week of. FYI - you can make a reservation for 8 ppl max. Anyway, the place had such a cute decor and employees were very friendly. It has an anime feel with pretty floral decor of Farmhouse Thai. I believe these places are operated by the same owners. We started off with a few appetizers: corn, chicken karaage and truffle fries. As for our entree, majority of us ordered either the Noka Classic Ramen, the Black Garlic Tonkotsu or the Ikari Steak Ramen. All were very delicious and good portions. Definitely would back again as the food was delicious and had great vibes.

Yelp
Super fun, and tasty! Great place to bring family and friends. It's very decorative, staff is in costume, and food and drinks are good, not to mention great service! Pricing is standard, and location is what it is, nice, but keep nothing if your cars or else. Kanpai!

Yelp
Came in with some girl friends during the week for dinner. The vibes were so right when you walk in it's a very instagrammable place. The ramen was delicious and their mocktails as well. The service was good and they were very attentive. I loved the passion fruit ice cream that was given at the end so refreshing!

Yelp
Noka Ramen- solid 4.5 star rating. Not only is everything presented in an IG worthy fashion, the food is as good as it looks. Walking in you can't help but to be wowed by the decor. The Pokemon, foliage, screens and lights.. it's all oh so cute. It instantly makes you happy. I appreciate that they limit the number of tables and don't try to over crowd the place. They get busy as it is. Don't forget to make your reservations! The service was good and we were checked on regularly. Servers were all so nice and bubbly. Happy to help with any questions and recommendations. The steak ramen was good. The beef was tender, and the noodles were so good. I usually like thick ramen, but the chewy thin noodles worked so well with the dish that I didn't mind. I liked the amount of spice (they warn you it's pretty spicy), but it was a little too much for my friend. At some point it did become too salty and rich for me. The broth is more like a sauce. I actually liked eating the noodles without having extra sauce in the same bite. I love kakuni and the kakuni appetizer hit the spot. Shishito peppers were standard. The corn ribs were good, but pricey for the serving. Since it was just my girl and me catching up over dinner, we shared everything and we were full. Of course we had our fill of drinks too. The high balls were all light and refreshing. Who doesn't want a drink a Pokemon card clipped to it? The sake flight was hell cute, too. I've heard good things about their burger and more tradition ramen offerings, so I will definitely visit again.

Yelp
We decided to try this place for takeout during Oakland restaurant week. So pleased with the presentation and delicious food. We had the Black Garlic Tonkotsu with chicken karagge, corn and shishito peppers. It was all very tasty and Packaged beautifully especially for takeout. Would like to go back and have a meal inside because it's very inviting!

Yelp
Enjoy a wonderful evening stroll at the Marina by Jack London Square this Friday night. Make sure to catch the sunset and soak in the live music performances. Have an amazing time! We visited Noka Ramen for their delicious ramen. The broth was incredibly rich and topped with a perfectly marinated soft-boiled egg. We felt extra special being served by the colorful Power Rangers! service is attentive, got water refilled without asking. The portion is on the smaller side. They offer very cute cocktails serving in power ranger cups and they also offer sailor moon tasting sake. Will definitely be back. The only challenge is to get parking on a Friday night , we only need to wait for 10 mins to get seated without teservation.

Yelp
This was soooo good and the service was friendly and quick!! I definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area. The whole theme they have going on is so cute. I totally forgot to take photos but it's very IG worthy. The food was delicious as well the ramen was rich in broth and not overly salty. I will say it was on the fattier side so prepare for a food coma. Overall, I absolutely loved my visit here!

Yelp
I expected more tbh :( We were planning to go for lunch here, which is 12PM-3PM. The eta we had was 2:30 so I called the restaurant to make sure they're still seating people at that time. The person on the phone told us that as long as we come before 2:45, when they have their last call for food before the kitchen closes, they'll seat us. We got to the restaurant around 2:40. Door was locked with a sign that said closed for lunch, be back at 5. Mind you they're technically not close for lunch until 3. And so we waited! Because I was excited to dine here. The melon high ball was refreshing. I got the black garlic tonkotsu and my bf got the regular tonkotsu. Regular tonkotsu was fine, nothing special. I was disappointed with the black garlic ramen. The black garlic oil is fine, but the burnt garlic crisps ruined the bowl for me. And there were so many of them!! Honestly, I expected more. It almost feels gimmicky. Maybe their focus are on the frills and not so much the food. Nice decor and aesthetic items and themed services but that's all we got.

Yelp
SO GOOD! Seriously the kindest people. Great service and very attentive. I loved the complimentary edamame with truffle sauce. For an "instagramble" place, the food exceeded expectation. Delicious. Spicy ramen was SPICY but delicious. I went with a small group and my 10 month old son, we all left happy.

Yelp
Noka ramen is one of the best places to take friends visiting the area. I've come back a few times and have enjoyed myself every time. The decor is beautiful, a la son and garden style with the hello gorgeous photo wall and all. There's a ton of homages for anime fans from small figurines, anime playing in the back (doraemon when I was there) and staff dressed up. The staff were so helpful and gracious. They were very patient and kind with the fact that we kept getting distracted by each other and didn't look at the menu (oops). Onto the food: the food is priced on the higher end in general but we definitely enjoyed all of it! Complimentary truffle oil edamame: bomb. Who says no to truffle oil?? Love. My only regret is I didn't eat more. Chicken karaage: light crispness with a bomb aioli Gyoza: kurobuta pork justifies the pricing for it. It came out sizzling hot and juicy. Ikari steak ramen: one of their pricier ramens but I get it every time because it's so good. It comes out flaming, which is so fun, the steak is tender and medium rare and the spice is so yummy. Lobster shio ramen: so I didn't pay attention to what we were ordering so I didn't expect a 2 lb-ish (eyeballing) lobster. There was a ton of meat on it and the broth was light and salty. The tail was a smidge overcooked for my tastes but still good. Wagyu truffle oil ramen: my favorite. They cooked the meat table side so it was still beautifully tender and juicy. The broth was super umami and flavorful and I could have drank it all easily. The drinks: The sailor moon sake flight is fun but to be honest, the green sailor scout sake is an easy winner. We ordered a round of "highballs," the Pokémon card drinks and you get to keep the Pokémon card too! Super fun. I asked the server what were the most popular and I remember one was yuzu (amazing) but the other was great too. Ask them for recs! The Noka ranger is a classic tropical mai tai drink in a fun cup. The servers even do a little power ranger dance for you when you order it! I haven't tried any of their classic ramen offerings yet but I'm sure it's good based on these options!

Yelp
Here's my rundown: Ahi tuna with crispy rice, Spicy ramen, and Matcha Tiramisu. While the ramen is a hard 3/5, I love the ahi tuna and crispy rice. So perfectly crispy and flavorful! It only comes with 2 pieces and is a bit pricey but IDC! Still yummy. Matcha tiramisu was not too sweet, which is exactly how I like my desserts!! Service is welcoming and attentive while ambiance is decorated with tons of greenery and floral decor. Lots of little figurines too! Honestly, the vibes were similar to that of Farmhouse Thai. Located in Jack London so be weary of parking!

Yelp
I came across this restaurant on Instagram and saw how popular and aesthetically pleasing this place looked. My fiancé made a reservation two days in advance for lunch at 12 o'clock. We got there at 12:05 and the restaurant filled up super quick. We were sat instantly in a nice corner with an aesthetic flower background. Once you go inside, you'll notice the colorful decorations and plants all around the restaurant along with some of your favorite sailor moon, power rangers and Pokémon figurines. They do not have a physical menu, so be sure to scan the QR code on the table. We ordered the sailor moon flight which comes with five different flavored sakes with colors emitting the bottom of the glass. This is a must if you grew up watching sailor moon! I ordered a Pikachu burger and my fiancé ordered the black garlic Ramen noodles. Before the food came out, we were given a small portion of edamame, which was so delicious that we had to order more. The food came out a little over 10 minutes after ordering. My burger came out just as pictured on the menu and tasted amazing! The wagyu beef patty was tender and the chashu complimented the patty very well. I upgraded my fries to truffle fries and it did not disappoint! (Refer to my picture for the other ingredients in the burger). My fiancés noodles were nice and soft and the broth was delicious without having an oily aftertaste. They have a huge dining area so larger parties can definitely be accommodated. They were playing edm style music which did not match the ambiance and vibes of the restaurant so that would be my only complaint. Our meal came out to a little over $100 which was complexity worth it in my opinion. We parked in the garage and keep in mind that they DO NOT validate parking but it was only $3 for our meal time.

Yelp
A nice tourist spot for fans of certain characters Friday is sailor moon Saturday power rangers Sunday Pokémon cosplay. I heard about the Pikachu burger thanks to yelp so was in San Francisco and detoured coming home with this as the lunch spot. Fortunately it was Sunday so Pokémon day meant staff dressed like the trainer ash, while Pokémon played inside the restaurant on a tv. Tried the ramen and a drink which came with a Pokemon card. Burger was good but not worth $30+ sorry The vibe and aesthetic was worth it though. They have a drink special which gives you a take home sailor moon collectible. Super cool spot and food isn't bad
