Family-run Lebanese bistro marking vegan items clearly—falafel, hummus, grape leaves, mezze, and even vegan cheese for pizzas. A longstanding local name, it’s frequently recommended by Columbia food writers for plant-based dining.

Stepped into Noma Bistro by Al Amir on a super hot day and immediately appreciated the comfortable, casual atmosphere. The AC was just right, a welcome relief without being overly chilly. Our culinary adventure began with the BBQ Chicken Pizza, and wow, what a flavor explosion! Seriously, it was incredible. A huge shout-out to the reviewer who posted a video of a cheesy BBQ pizza, that's what sealed the deal for us, and we're so glad it did! Next up, a Falafel Sampler. The falafels were a tad on the crispy side from being fried, but the inside delivered that classic, perfect falafel taste and texture I absolutely crave. My partner, ever the connoisseur of good food hunts, went for the Chicken Gyro. I knew it was a winner when he started eating with his eyes closed, savoring every single bite. We also enjoyed their Greek Salads. Not your typical, overly complicated Greek salad, but a wonderfully simple version that still perfectly delivered the authentic Greek salad flavor we were seeking. It's safe to say this is officially our new go-to spot for pizza, and we're excited to slowly work our way through their menu to discover more fantastic finds. If you're looking for a casual spot with flavor-packed dishes that are simple yet incredibly satisfying, I highly recommend Noma Bistro by Al Amir!

If you love Mediterranean food, Noma's is for you! The food was excellent, authentic and reasonably priced! The staff were very friendly and always kept our drinks filled. Definitely a place we try to visit every trip to Columbia!

NoMa by Al Amir is a Mediterranean spot that's got the classics you'd expect in a no frills diner experience. The simple vibe at NoMa elevates the food experience and helps further prove that the focus is on the flavor here. I tried the Protein Power Bowl with some spicy feta added and it was out of this world. The feta had almost a buffalo flavor to it that really made it shine. The food was fresh, and the value was on point. You're not over paying for anything at this spot. All in all in you want a no frills Mediterranean spot that you can pop into for a cozy lunch or dinner this is it!

Delicious, solid Mediterranean food in an unassuming location. Really pleasantly surprised! Even dishes I'm usually not terribly fond of- falafel (often bland and sandy textured) and dolmas (usually too mushy)- are well executed and flavorful. Secret star here though is the baba ghanoush- omg, there's a deep, complex smokiness that is so addictive! Gyro pizza is a fun and delicious twist that's worth getting. Staff is friendly and warm, and service is quick. Absolutely a star in the local scene.

Ordered a Greek salad with chicken and the Mediterranean pizza. Very disappointed in the texture and taste and sight of the chicken. It looks and taste like boiled and shredded chicken. It made the salad and the pizza mushy uan eggs Not the same chicken I had before. Before it was marinated and grilled. I don’t recommend any entree with chicken!

Plenty of parking on side of building. Walked in and was greeted promptly and instructed to take a seat wherever. Drinks come in plastic disposable or styrofoam cups. So not very sustainable. We ordered and their wood fire started. Cool view. It smelled amazing! We were served the side salads first and then the entrees. The kabob is the better deal. Juicer and more flavorful. The chicken pascha was okay, not as juicy but the tzatziki sauce helps. Pita was good, rice was greasy. Server did not offer refills. Overall, pretty good, but don’t feel the need to return.

Some of the best Mediterranean food I have found around Columbia. These are the only Dolmades I have eaten and went back for more. Tried Kefta for the first time and I now have a favorite item on the menu. It reminds me of a flattened version of Turkish Meatballs but the flavor is so wonderful.

The chef puts his heart into the most authentic and delicious Mediterranean dishes! The hummus is the best ever . So incredibly smooth and creamy served with hot fresh pita (also good on the fresh cut fries). The lamb gyro is wonderful! Everyone loved their order from pizza, AL Amir bowl to gyros. Can't wait to go back!
