The 17 Best New Restaurants in Tel Aviv, Israel | Eater

"Chef Yoram Nitzan’s famed Mul Yam restaurant was forced to close in 2015 due to a fire. Now the chef is back with Nomi, located in the David Intercontinental hotel right across from Tel Aviv’s beachside promenade. His is a fine dining take on kosher Mediterranean cuisine, emphasizing local ingredients and ultra-creative takes on modern Israeli dishes like lamb siniya with grilled okra and warm tahini sauce, dover sole with turnip lemongrass broth and Granny Smith apples, and steak and eggs with arugula foam and smoked goose crumble." - Keren Brown

Went on a date (not successful). But this was his choice. The place surprised me. It is quirky and interesting in its setup. The food is very good. It is self service, buffet type. For those with big eyes, be careful!! It all looks delish! Will probably go back, with kids.

The pastries were delicious. Sweet and salty both. They're very fluffy and fresh. Its self service. You pick what you want from the display and pay at the counter where you also order coffee. Mo me the downside was that the place had like 300 people. Way too crowded and felt like a factory. No character. There are plenty of sitting options, but I wouldn't go back, didn't like the vibe at all.

Do not be intimidated by the rush of people because the service is fast and the food always keep coming. Good coffee and food. Great atmosphere. :)

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this exceptional dining establishment, and I must say, it was an experience unlike any other. This restaurant exceeded my expectations in numerous ways, showcasing a meticulous attention to detail, innovation in their menu offerings, and outstanding service that left me thoroughly impressed. Upon entering the restaurant, I was immediately struck by the elegant and sophisticated ambiance. The minimalist and contemporary decor seamlessly blended with understated luxury, creating an inviting atmosphere for a memorable dining experience. The menu, curated by the talented chef, was nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. Each dish showcased a harmonious balance of flavors, intricate presentation, and thoughtfully sourced ingredients. From the amuse-bouche to the final bite of dessert, every course was an adventure for the senses.

Wonderful place. Great place for a breakfast or a brunch. They have good pastries and good coffee and other good stuff. Parking lot is available in the place. Definitely recommended!! If you are in the area don't miss it!

A beautiful place that serves delicious, creative dishes. Sitting outside when it’s warm enough makes a lovely evening. The kitchen here basically creates the epitome of Israeli cuisine. Expect high prices.

It's a very nice place and the service is good but the food itself doesn't justify the price. Had a few different things from the menu, and for example the sirloin steak, advertised as 45 day dry aged for 250 NIS, was super dry, tasteless and not evenly cooked (asked for MR, some of it was rare and some was well done..).

If it's possible to fall in love with a coffee shop, Nomi would be my sweetheart. A little difficult to find as there's a track, not a road going to it.... it's in a field. But it's worth any effort. From morning to early afternoon it's a unique coffee shop....in the evening it becomes a restaurant. Morning: breads, croissant, salads, cakes pastries etc etc are set out on tables.. Grab what you want and take to the counter where you order coffee and pay. All is made on the premises, very friendly helpful staff and the best atmosphere. Cannot recommend too highly. Yet a further visit: one a scale of 1 to 5, there is no 5, but for Nomi there's 5++. This, my 5th time and it just gets better and better. From homemade filled bread, with potato and parmesan, cheese and tomatoes, to various breads, croissants ,salads, and the most delicious cakes and pastries... Nomi is the best. Masterly orchestrated by Ron, he's created something quite special. My only complaint: there's nothing I've yet found to complain about..a strange situation for us Israelis. Very reasonable prices, knowledgeable helpful enthusiastic staff... I'll go again... and again Thanks to Ron and all his team
