Yelp
I was encouraged to give Noodle Man another try from fellow Yelper friend, J. DAVID, and I'm glad that I did! We have been here several since then, so I have to give props - thanks!!!
As you may all know, Noodle Man is a hand-pulled noodle shop that is located in the Haygood Shopping Center. Their menu offers various appetizers (such as honey teriyaki shrimp, fried crab wontons, cucumber salad, beef pancake, etc.), noodle soups, cold noodle dishes, stir-fried noodle entrees, fried rice, and drinks.
We usually stick to the following:
+B3 - Hot & Spicy Noodle - with ground pork, peanuts, preserved veggies, spinach, and chipped green onions, with the house noodles; this is my hubs' preferred soup; he likes that the 5-spice flavor isn't too strong and overwhelming
+B6 - Hong Kong Style Noodle Soup - Hong Kong-style noodles with wontons, but you can opt for the house noodles, which I do; I feel as if Noodle Man's wontons are the best - they are a beautiful size with large juicy shrimp and pork; unfortunately, I don't eat pork anymore, but I do miss this terribly!
+D2 - Beef Fried Rice - great version of fried rice with a little addition of soy sauce and the chili oil for a kick
We've also tried the A4 - Fried Salt & Spicy Wings (these are crispy, but definitely had an interesting taste to it - honestly, it reminded me of Ruffles' Cheddar & Sour Cream - weird, right?!) and the C3 - Mongolian Beef Stir-Fried Noodles (Mongolian beef with noodles, this was stated to be a super popular dish; we thought it was okay, and glad we tried it, but wasn't a repeat order).
One thing that was a little irksome was that there was always something found in my Hong Kong Style Noodle Soup - two times, it was a small piece of metal (staple? part of a stainless steel scrubber?); and, another time, it was an unidentified object, which I freaked out, thinking it was a bug (ended up being a mushroom?). It was not an issue to get the bowl replaced, which the restaurant made no fuss in doing; just thought it was kind of ridiculous it happened several times!
I love that the kitchen is encased with clear windows, so you can see the staff making the noodles and preparing the dishes.
It seems as if the restaurant retains its staff, as we have had the same servers on our visits - service has always been friendly, welcoming, and efficient.
Plenty of parking in the shared plaza lot.
