"You’ll have both a dinner and a show at Noodle Man, since you can peek into the open kitchen and see chefs hand-pulling noodles into long, glutinous strands, but it’s also a casual place to grab an excellent dinner that won’t take up your whole evening. Definitely order a noodle soup (our favorites are the Lan Zhou Beef and the Hot and Spicy options), but it’s also worth trying the chicken jalapeño and Mongolian beef stir-fried noodles as well. The space is small enough that it easily gets packed, but you can easily still hear your table’s conversation (if you’re not too preoccupied with slurping up your delicious noodles)." - anne cruz

Finally got a chance to try this spot out - it was great! Pictured is the spicy cucumber appetizer, hot & spicy noodle (soup), and vegetable stir-fried noodles. All the dishes were delicious. You can watch them pull the fresh noodles just off the dining room through the big glass windows. Service was very friendly and helpful. We'll definitely return.

Google
Ordered the beef noodle soup and added a marinated egg. I recommend adding some chili oil to it for some heat. Noodles were excellent. They were nice and chewy and did not get soggy throughout the meal. The broth was well seasoned and tasted even better with the chili oil added. The slices of beef were very tender and plenty of it was given included in the bowl.

Noodle Man located in the Haygood Shopping Center is a great addition. Excellent menu options. The staff is friendly and eager to assist. This is a really cool place with excellent food and service. My favorites are the vegetable soup with shrimp, steam or fried dumplings, spring rolls, and egg rolls❣️Watching the chef make hand -pulled Chinese Noodles is amazing! This is a popular restaurant but worth the wait.

Google
Chinese hand pull noodle close to Virginia Beach. The staff were very friendly. We ordered beef pancakes and vegetable pancake - beef pancakes are really tasty. We also ordered Mongolian beef noodle (stir fry style) and Lanzhou soup noodle. They both are very tasty - I personally like Mongolian beef noodle better. The only thing is the portion is a little too small, but they priced it very reasonably so it’s very acceptable. Overall very good experience and would recommend this place.

Google
Cute lil noodle spot! It’s cool seeing the noodles being pulled through the window. I got the hot and spicy soul with bok choy, ground pork, scallions (pictured). It was tasty! I would describe the spice-level as white-people spicy. Made my nose run but very tolerable. Perfect! They have sriracha and chili oil on the table, so you can spice it up more. Oh, also the staff was hilarious! And attentive. Lovely casual-silly vibe. Prices were great too! (As delicious as it was, I got heart burn lol I know better than to eat spicy foods late at night, but I YOLO’d and regretted it, so be aware 👻)

Google
Love this place - I always get the veggie noodle soup with hand pulled noodles 🍜 great vegetarian/vegan option, if you’re into that. The wonton soup and stir fry are also yummy!

Google
I debated eating here or another Asian restaurant nearby. I chose this place as it had about 8 cars in front and the other place had zero. I’m glad that I did. The spicy chicken wings were so tasty!! I was previously warned that it would take 15 min to prepare so the time wait expectation was nice. While I waited I ordered the pork dumplings. The sauce was a little more sweet than spicy. The customer service was excellent. I watched them interest with other tables and families and they are very kid friendly. The place was very clean. I would recommend this place.

Google
Pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon. But we still got seated pretty fast. The service was good, they confirmed the order before leaving our table. We got our drinks within 5 minutes. The spicy noodle was delicious. It is not for people that cannot handle spicy food though.

Yelp
I figured it was time for an updated review of Noodle Man. I'd like to say that Noodle Man has been open at this location since late 2018. They were an immediate hit and have grown in popularity so much that they opened a second location in Chesapeake in February/March 2020. I hit up this VB Noodle Man location on occasion and am glad to report they are just as good now as they were when they first opened. The VB Noodle Man is small. There are about 9-10 tables and roughly 8 seats at the bar. They will fill up quickly during the lunch and dinner rushes. Regardless, their space is clean, organized and is the perfect size to view the kitchen staff as they prepare the food and make their famous noodles. The great thing about Noodle Man is they make their noodles in house. The technique they use is of the more traditional style of making noodles, which I've only seen in person here. If nothing else, any noodle dish you order will be fresh and delicious. It's obvious that their customers love that aspect, and they reward them by returning again and again. I've visited often enough to try nearly everything on their menu. And I haven't had a bad dish among them. Although they're good any time, I usually opt for the Chicken Mushroom Noodle Soup (B1.) during the winter months. I sometimes opt in for an appetizer, too - their Pork Shrimp with Leek Dumpling (A11.) is fantastic. Other highlights include: A3. Fried Salt & Spicy Shrimp A4. Fried Salt & Spicy Wings A5. Fried Salt & Spicy Pork Chop (this is a recurring theme) B2. Tomato Beef Brisket Noodle Soup B6. Hong Kong Style Noodle Soup The broth for their soup is delicious and complements the noodles perfectly. In addition, their soups are plentiful - you will get filled up if you finish an entire bowl. Finally, Noodle Man's staff is fantastic. Many of the wait staff are veterans - they know the menu inside and out, know much of the clientele (NM has many regulars at this point), and know exactly how to handle any given situation and customer. I'd like to think I'm a regular because a couple of the servers have recognized me, but I recently met a man who stops in every Saturday, and apparently comes in as often as possible. That's a testament to how good Noodle Man's food and service are - those regulars are loyal and will sing its praises to anyone who will listen. I'm glad Noodle Man has remained a fantastic place. I can always count on their food to be fresh and delicious, while their service is just as impressive. Thank you, Noodle Man! JV

Yelp
Food was good! The chili oil wontons were flavorful! Little Dude #2 loved his chicken wings! Big Bro ate his beef fried rice without complaint. Daughter & Littlest Dude shared the Lan Zhou soup. Hubby liked his seafood soup and I liked my chili oil soup. Noodles were all amazing, just don't let them sit too long in the soup. Service was AWESOME! Super friendly and attentive!

Yelp
Recently ordered take out from Noodle Man and it was delicious (as always). This is the one place my partner and I can always agree on when we're not sure what we want for dinner. It's also one of our go to spots when we have guests in town. I prefer take out to eat in as some of the tables are close together and honestly the quality of the food has always been better to me when we've done take out. The service has always been good when we've eaten in and everyone is always polite on the phone we we've ordered to go. It would be nice for an online ordering option but I think that's coming soon! We ordered the kung pao and the Mongolian beef - both were delicious! You honestly can't make a bad choice when eating here, in my opinion.

Garrett B.

Yelp
Awesome noodle spot with amazing stir fry noodles and chicken wings. Inside has great art on the walls. The server was very helpful with the menu.

Jordan R.

Yelp
I had a overall good experience here. Ordered the tomato brisket noodles, Mongolian beef, vegetable pancake, and chicken fried rice. Everything was amazing except the fried rice. The rice was ok. The tomato brisket noodles made my day. The service was great and fast. I really liked the artwork everywhere. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Great cozy place to get hearty meals during this bitter winter weather! The staff was convivial and seated us immediately! They took our drink and dinner orders promptly. And they served the cucumber salad appetizer, chicken mushroom soup and Kung Pao chicken piping hot and quickly. It was a great dinner on a freezing cold night! Will definitely return for the hearty chicken mushroom soup and cucumber salad! It is definitely worth it!! The Kung Pao was equally delicious!!

Yelp
Always a great spot for some yummy appetizers and wonton noodle soups! Service was great, they were fast and super sweet! The place was clean and had a huge glass where you can see the chef making hand pulled noodles, very cool!

Alresch J.

Yelp
Lord help me because if I have to drive seven hours to come back here from New York, I will. The first time I've ever seen somebody making the noodles by hand before them getting served out to a diner. This place is awesome. Oh, did I mention they were hand-pulled noodles? The guy was encased in glass and looked like everybody else was watching him make his stuff. Service was amazing. They were on the ball from the minute I walked in. I took a seat at the bar so I could watch the show. I think this is the kind of spot you need to bring a couple of friends with who enjoy good food so you can split the appetizers on top of a very filling entree. The space isn't huge but it has a bunch of booths and about eight spots at the bar for you to sit through. Good music and the wait staff genuinely seemed happy to work there and were really grooving. Some were even singing along with the tunes. Definitely going to be back before I head back upstate.

June T.

Yelp
Food and service is always top notch here. Location is a tad bit smaller than the Chesapeake location but the food is exactly the same. Mongolian Beef stir fry noodle is my GO TO. Calamari & Porkchops are my favorite appetizer. I have the NYC vibes when I eat here. I love it.

Jonesha M.

Yelp
Why didn't anyone tell me this place was so good?!? (Actually people have been telling me for years) but I finally decided to go one afternoon for lunch. I got there right around the time they opened because I didnt know if it got packed. There were about 3 tables full. By the time I was leaving, people were starting to come in. I sat at the bar area against the glass window so I could watch the guy make the noodles from scratch. It was so cool. I ordered the shredded chicken with garlic sauce noodles. It was delicious. Everything tasted so fresh. I would definitely recommend and can't wait to try more items!

Yelp
We had last dined here four years ago so we were due back but so many restaurants and so little time. We perused the menu and realized it had not changed. Hubby got the exact same meal: jalapeño chicken noodles while I changed mine to Hong Kong with wontons. Each of us was so very pleased after "doctoring " our dishes up with the condiments on the table labeled "soup" or "stir fry". Simple but useful. Then sriracha of course. Perfect. Each wonton had three shrimps, omg so amazing.

Yelp
What a perfect chilly day for a big bowl of soup from Noodle Man! Usually very busy, so try to go at an odd time. We came for a late lunch at 2:00, and didn't have to wait. The service is great, we were checked on several times. Place is always clean. I ordered the chicken and mushroom noodle soup. It arrived very quickly, and was nice and hot, but not going to burn you. The serving is very large, and the price very reasonable. They also have many other dishes and appetizers on the menu. The best part about this restaurant is watching the chefs behind the glass pull these long Udon noodles. I find it so entertaining. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves an Asian soup with a very flavorful broth.

Yelp
My recent dining experience at Noodle Man was an absolute delight, offering a culinary journey that left me thoroughly impressed from start to finish. Upon entering the restaurant, I was immediately struck by the inviting aroma of freshly made noodles, setting the stage for what would be a memorable meal. We decided to sample a variety of dishes, opting for the Tomato Beef Noodle Soup and the Regular Beef Noodle Soup. Let's talk about those noodles--perfection in every bite! Freshly made and expertly cooked, they were wonderfully chewy and bouncy, elevating the entire dining experience to new heights. Whether enjoyed in the tomato-infused broth of the Tomato Beef Noodle Soup or the clear yet flavorful broth of the Regular Beef Noodle Soup, the noodles were undeniably the star of the show. Speaking of broth, I must commend Noodle Man for their mastery in crafting broths that are both clear and intensely flavorful. Each spoonful was a symphony of savory goodness, perfectly complementing the hearty noodles and tender beef. But the culinary delights didn't stop there. The Salt and Pepper Fried Squid appetizer was a revelation, boasting crispy, tender squid pieces tossed with fragrant fried garlic and jalapenos--a true explosion of flavors and textures. The accompanying cucumber salad provided a refreshing contrast, with its crunchy texture and slight kick of spice. One highlight of the meal was the tableside chili oil selection--an unexpected touch that added an extra layer of flavor to every dish. The chili oils were perfectly balanced, offering just the right amount of heat and complexity to enhance the flavors of each dish without overpowering them. Overall, my experience at Noodle Man was nothing short of exceptional. From the amazing noodles and flavorful broths to the delightful appetizers and thoughtful touches like the tableside chili oil selection, every aspect of the meal was executed with precision and care. Without a doubt, Noodle Man has earned my enthusiastic recommendation, and I can't wait to return for another unforgettable dining experience.

Yelp
Noodle Man is one of my favorite Asian restaurants to visit when in Virginia Beach. All the food is packed with flavor and nothing falls short. I absolutely love their wonton and their pork chops were excellent as well. I got their tomato beef brisket noodle soup is definitely one of their signatures and they are generous with their meat. Price point is extremely fair with the current inflation. Service here is good, and they are always busy I never seen this place not busy even during weekdays. Our wait on a Saturday evening was 40 minutes. I appreciate that they make their noodles in house and everything tasted fresh. Only complaint I have for this establishment is the cheap seats they use. I can literally feel the table behind us everytime they moved or leaned back on to our side. That was the only reason I took a star off, which made my dining experience little less enjoyable with my hangover. Interior is nice little bit small, but I highly recommend you try here if you're looking for a substitute for ramen or pho. Great place to come for hangover as well.

Yelp
It's been a while since I've been here. But the food is always consistently good. I don't think I have ever seen this location NOT busy. Wait staff are always friendly and always efficient. Prices are reasonable, and good portions. Drinks are always cans. Military discounts are offered, just ask. If waiting to be seated, you can either wait or have them call you in your cell, when the table js ready. My go- to apps and entrees are the cucumber salad, but It's on the spicy side and the pork chili oil wontons which are significantly spicy.

Jessica L.

Yelp
Like the cozy vibe of this place. I ordered the tomato and egg noodles which I didn't love but I am willing to come back and try more dishes! The staff was nice and handled the busy crowd well.

Isa B.

Yelp
The food was genuinely so good if you're looking for an authentic noodle dish or even Chinese appetizers this is a great place to go. I went with my friends and they're pretty picky but they loved everything we got and I can't wait to go again!

Jamie S.

Yelp
Food: Amazing flavor as the weather in VA Beach cools it's perfect weather. Service: Ms . Jess and Ms. Ashley were a pleasant host and server just a positive experience with both of them. Thank you for a lovely dinner !

Lauren B.

Yelp
My husband and I's first time trying Noodle Man was on a Saturday night via delivery through DoorDash. The order came quickly and was accurate and hot! We ordered the Pork Wonton appetizer with Chili Oil and they were surprisingly not spicy at all. The prominent flavor was actually ginger believe it or not. I found them to be light and delicious, although not what I was initially expecting. For dinner, I tried the Chicken Fried Rice and the Mongolian Beef Stir Fry Noodle dishes. Both were delicious, but the Mongolian Beef Stir Fry Noodle was my number one favorite. The beef was perfectly cooked and not full of fat as you often find at most Chinese restaurants. The spice level was perfect and the szechuan peppers added the perfect amount of heat. I love how this dish was full of veggies between the two different peppers. Noodles and rice were both cooked perfectly. My husband had the Hot & Spicy Noodle and he enjoyed it thoroughly. He wasn't very hungry going into dinner, but managed to enjoyed the entire soup. We both really enjoyed the food we had from Noodle Man and I am pleased that we have found our go-to Chinese restaurant in the Virginia Beach area. We will definitely be repeat customers!

Christine H.

Yelp
Noodle man is a place that is popular with every demographic, but if you ever spent time in China, it brings you memories of a hot slurpy soup that you would find in the back alleys -- something homey, authentic, and with lots of flavor. The Mongolian stir-fried noodles are also excellent. It definitely has that "fresh off the wok" smokiness while balancing the meat flavors. I would definitely recommend the Lanzhou beef noodle soup as well as any of the other noodle soups.

Lisa O.

Yelp
Great service. Friendly and they are observant if you need something extra. Quaint inside. We have not had any problem getting seated but we have gotten the last available table. Never had to wait. Clean in the dinning area, restrooms sometimes need help. The noodles are the best. My favorite part is watching them make the noodles. It is absolutely hipnotic. We have gotten the Mogolian Beef Stir-Fry Noodles (5star) the jalapeno chicken with stir fried noodles is supposed to be spicy. It was a on the sweet side and only a little spicy (4star) We have also gotten the shredded chicken with garlic sauce stir-fried noodles and this was spicier than the jalapeno chicken. We prefered this. It was the right amount of heat and the flavor was good. (4star) My only draw back is that the only thing to these dishes is green bell pepper the meat and the noodles. Then the seasoning is a little different but if you get a few dishes they all look the same. The Tomatoe Beef Brisket noodle soup was pretty good (4star) again lacking complex flavor. Pork wontons were great(5star) I did hear someone come in for a takeout order and they added broccoli to theirs and I thought that sounds great. Wish I would have known that. I will do that next time and see if I can't pop my stars up a notch

Susan B.

Yelp
Great service, nice noodle show and a very pleasant multi-generational lunch! Try to cucumber salad and a variety of dishes, you can't go wrong!

Dan R.

Yelp
Noodle Man always delivers a flavorful punch with their delicious ramen offerings. The broth is rich, with fantastic choices to choose from. I love the fresh ramen. Its tasty and you dont feel bloated after. The noodles are perfectly cooked, and the broth is simmered to perfection. Each bowl is a comforting hug in a bowl, and I can't wait to come back for more. Service was so friendly and welcoming, for that reason, I'll definitely be returning, especially when I'm craving a ramen. It's hard to eat ramen after coming back from Japan but I'm happy to know there is a place like this in Virginia Beach.

Cecilia L.

Yelp
Overall 3.5/5 The stir fried squid & Lanzhou noods was great but would not get the wonton in chili oil and tomato based hand pulled noodles We love that there was 2 diff kinds of chili oil too. But some things were a hit and some was a miss Stir fried squid 4/5: nicely breaded and yummy squid Lan zhou noodles 4/5: soup base was pretty good - beefy and loved the meats Wonton in chili oil 1/5: this is not wontons just to warn ya but sui mai instead and this is lit supermarket sui mai so we were pretty disappointed because everyone said this was good Tomato based band pulled noodles 1.5/5: this was recommended to us.. but this is lit very tomatoey using tomato paste so if you'd like that then this might be a good choice

Donna J.

Yelp
I always get B2. The broth is amazing and the brisket, tender. Coupled with tomatoes, bok choi and hand pulled noodles. This dish is satisfying and nourishing. I had a bad cough/cold and this soup cured me!

Jalkah F.

Yelp
Been here three times already and quickly understood why this place is a local favorite! I am a huge fan of the Mongolian Stir Fried Noodles and B1 & B2 noodle soups. Every friend and family member I've introduced to this place has loved it too. Very cool to watch the kitchen staff handle the noodle dough. For our most recent service I am deducting one star. Service the first two times was perfect, but our third visit was when something occurred between us and our server that surprised me and my bf's family. There was a small miscommunication between ordering the A13 and A14 apps- we wanted the cucumber salad but our server thought we wanted the cold sliced beef. Our server took back the cold sliced beef and as she was bringing it back, we over heard her say "They definitely ordered the A14, not A13" to another server, who then said "Yea I was there, I totally heard that too." This was said loud enough for our table, seated in the far back corner of the restaurant, to over hear and probably every customer dining in as well. That particular server never came back to serve us and instead we had 2 other servers going back and forth between our table and the kitchen, who were both great. This experience was incredibly unfortunate, as I work in the food industry and have handled similar situations like this from the serving end. I was unimpressed by how those two servers were speaking about our party and it affected our ability to enjoy our meal without feeling like we were being watched by the staff. No one in our party was rude to our server, and speaking loudly about your customers basically in front of them is impolite and rude. The dining room is already small so we know those around us heard those comments. We are hesitant to come back.

Lance Z.

Yelp
My time in Norfolk, Virginia didn't include a visit to Noodle Man because it opened just after I moved away in 2018. However, my visit today exceeded expectations. Although the yolk in my egg was overcooked, the fresh noodles and tantalizingly spicy broth were magnetic. From the attentive waiting staff to the sight of noodles being handmade through the kitchen windows, the overall experience was so delightful that I would come back time and time again if I still lived in the area. The Hampton Roads region is lucky to have this gem. Dining in should be a must--attempting to review after takeout does nobody justice. Highly recommend!

Marlon T.

Yelp
Amazing noodle soups! When this spot opened, it was all the rage and there were lines out the door. Now that the hype has died down, you can easily enjoy their handmade noodles without a crazy wait. I recommend getting the Lan Zhou Beef Noodle Soup, the first item on the menu. It's basic, yet flavorful and delicious. You will not be disappointed!

Dave J.

Yelp
Food was very good. I had my Mongolian stir noodles.. excellent taste and freshly made. I will definitely will be back again.

91 M.

Yelp
Great food. Good service. It's very busy inside. 1 star taken off as they have no fountain drinks.if you want soda you have to pay per can.

R v.

Yelp
The food wasn't that great. Noodles seemed like spaghetti Noodles. I can find better places that serve good soup. Staff was unresponsive slow. I asked for siriacha and she brought me an empty bottle, nothing to squeeze. I said to another lady, what is this and she brought me a full one. I would go back.

Isaac A.

Yelp
It's bout time we go for a noods run and get those noodles!! The food is on point as usual with a firecracker staff that always are on point. They move quick and they get you seated. This place is always jumping and the food quality is consistent. Definitely a place to grab a soup on a chilly day like chicken mushroom or change it up with a broth bowl and vegetable fried rice.

Klara C.

Yelp
I was really excited to come here and enjoyed most of the food. I got the Lan Zhou Beef Noodle Soup and my husband got the Mongolian Beef Stir Fried Noodles. My soup was alright, the noodles were good but I wish the soup just had a tad more flavor. I loved the Mongolian Beef stir fried noodles, it's something it would definitely come back for! In a shopping center so plenty of parking. They're definitely busy but we didn't have any issues getting a table.

J C.

Yelp
Good hand pulled noodles and nice spicy options. The pancake appetizer are ok but sometimes hard to eat without making a mess.

Myra E.

Yelp
I went to Noodle Man for the first time, with my co-workers. My supervisor has been here before and suggested the Mongolian Beef noodle dish. I ordered the Mongolian Beef entree, my co-worker ordered the Chicken Fried Rice, and my supervisor ordered the Mapo Tofu. I really enjoyed the Mongolian Beef stir -fry and my coworker enjoyed his chicken fried rice. My supervisor wasn't expecting the tofu to be so soft (not crunchy tofu) which impacted her enjoyment of the dish. Crab Rangoon was also ordered, and I was surprised at how small they were, but my colleagues enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly. The restaurant has a nice dining experience with good music, warm lighting, and plenty of tables and small booths. The price of the appetizers seemed a bit high to me ($6-7 for a small number of appetizers). However, the soups and entrees are very reasonably priced (between $9-13) and you get a good amount of food. Overall, it was a nice experience and I'm looking forward to trying other dishes here in the future.

Esha R.

Yelp
Parking was very convenient because it was in a a strip mall, so there was a lot of space and the ambience inside was very cool because you could see through the glass and see the big bowls that the chefs were cooking all the noodles and fried rice in! We ordered the vegetable pancakes and shrimp chicken spring rolls, and they were amazing! Super warm and fresh when they came out to us. We also got three different noodle bowls. I personally ate the chicken and mushroom bowl which was really delicious. I just wish that there was more flavor to it but overall I would definitely come back again. Can't wait to try the other noodles on the menu next time. This is definitely a great place for takeout and dine in depending what you want and amazing for a rainy day! The service is really fast and the portions were really good for the noodle bowls.

Toni A.

Yelp
Did someone say NOODS?! These are some of the best noods in Hampton Roads fr fr! Every time we go to Noodle Man it is a good time. Never disappoints. HAND MADE NOODLES GUYS. Hand. Made. I absolutely recommend B1 noodle soup for those going for the first time. Super delicious and savory. If you are craving stir fry noodles, C5 and C6 are top notch. I just love love the mushrooms. If I'm craving noodles, this is honestly my go to spot. The appetizers are also bangers. The pancakes are super thick and savory, vegetable and beef are both good! The pork shrimp with leek dumplings are big and thick. The honey shrimp to die for. You get lost in the sauce in a good kind of way! You really do feel the love in this food. I also always gotta get an herbal tea. It hits the spot! The ambiance is awesome, you can watch them make your noodles through the kitchen windows. Those forearms are BUFF from stretching the noodle dough. It's a small place and can get busy at times, so be prepared for that. I went today on Memorial Day, and it was chill. Service is always great and everyone is super nice. One of the friendliest places, they always check on you and help you out with what you need. Just friendly attitudes. I recommend eating there. Soupy noodles can be difficult to do take out. You'll get the best experience dining in :) Long review but much deserved! Thank you Noodle Man for being a great local business!

D. C.

Yelp
Service amazing, food is quick and full of flavor. Will absolutely return. Orders wings which take a few extra minutes but worth it! Also calamari.

Jonathan C.

Yelp
Overall: 5/5 fantastic place to grab a nice hot bowl of noodle soup. Grab a seat by their window because you'll get a show with their hand pulled noodles! Food: 4/5 their appetizer (fried salty & spicy shrimp) was absolutely great! Nice and crunchy, salty and savory, it hits all the right notes. The tomato beef soup has a nice base and noodles had a nice bite to them. While their seafood noodle was clear and simple broth. The only reason it was marked down a star was because their bowls and utensils tasted a bit like plastic; it was leeching into the food and wish they used ceramic or porcelain. Service: 5/5 they were quick to seat us, very warm and welcoming. All good things to say. Atmosphere: 5/5 absolutely wished we sat by their kitchen. The man was noodling and noddle man was here! Food with a show is always great.

Autumn E.

Yelp
Honestly my favorite restaurant rn. Everything is so fresh and hot. The wok hay / authentic Smokey flavor is the best I've ever had here. I can't wait until my family visits so I can bring them

Yelp
So I heard that Noodle Man won Best Restaurant this year and I can see why. I'll start off with the service: 10/10. Our server was super sweet. She made great suggestions & recommendations and was very patient with our wild bunch. I couldn't catch her name because I was in the corner :( nobody puts baby in a corner!! Anyways, if you were our server, please comment on this and I will edit to add your name. You were so sweet and amazing! Okay, now to the food. I ordered the Lang Zhou Noodle Soup with a Spicy broth base, wontons in chili oil, and fried salty and spicy pork. I give the soup a 7/10. The beef shank was tender and delicious, and I appreciate the effort that goes into the noodles, but there was a really strong spice that overpowered the soup :/ it wasn't bad tasting, but it was just over powering. The pork chops were delicious - not too salty, not too crunchy and very tender, but a little too much bone. Could be spicier though, but that's why they have the chili oil on the table. The wontons were perfect. A solid 10/10. It was a well balanced mixture of flavors - salty, fatty and spicy! The overall environment was nice. It was calm and peaceful, and nicely decorated. They don't server alcohol by the way, but it didn't matter much to me because I was there for the food. All in all, if I find myself in Norfolk/ VB again (which I will), I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Definitely a must for anyone in VB!!! The atmosphere is welcoming and vibrant, the staff is really attentive and the food is amazing!! I'm usually between the Tomato Beef Brisket Noodle Soup and the Lan Zhou Beef Noodle Soup, both are great options and their signatures! The broth has a lot of taste and it's not too heavy and the beef is super tender! 10/10 would recommend!

Yelp
The Lan Zhou beef noodle is really good! The servers are polite and friendly. And with the windowed kitchen, I can really watch how they make noddles! I only feel the table and chairs should be little higher, because when I watch the chefs cook, I have to look upward.

Yelp
By far my one of my favorite noodle places of all time. You can't go wrong with any of them. That only disappointment would be the appetizers, I have yet to find one I like.

Yelp
This place was recommended by a friend, my wife, and I both have very different tastes. This caters to both, she prefers the soups, especially the vegetable with an amazing vegetable broth, on the other hand, I prefer much spicier and less soupy noodles. Both of us are extremely happy and have been there multiple times since our first visit a couple of weeks ago.

Yelp
I recently visited this noodle haven that left my taste buds in awe. Their homemade noodles are a game-changer, offering a unique and delightful texture. The richness of flavors in each dish reflects a culinary mastery that captivates the palate. With an extensive array of options, this noodle place is a haven for food enthusiasts seeking a diverse and satisfying experience. It is busy, so come with time. Tables are really close together and it's crowded.

Yelp
I was encouraged to give Noodle Man another try from fellow Yelper friend, J. DAVID, and I'm glad that I did! We have been here several since then, so I have to give props - thanks!!! As you may all know, Noodle Man is a hand-pulled noodle shop that is located in the Haygood Shopping Center. Their menu offers various appetizers (such as honey teriyaki shrimp, fried crab wontons, cucumber salad, beef pancake, etc.), noodle soups, cold noodle dishes, stir-fried noodle entrees, fried rice, and drinks. We usually stick to the following: +B3 - Hot & Spicy Noodle - with ground pork, peanuts, preserved veggies, spinach, and chipped green onions, with the house noodles; this is my hubs' preferred soup; he likes that the 5-spice flavor isn't too strong and overwhelming +B6 - Hong Kong Style Noodle Soup - Hong Kong-style noodles with wontons, but you can opt for the house noodles, which I do; I feel as if Noodle Man's wontons are the best - they are a beautiful size with large juicy shrimp and pork; unfortunately, I don't eat pork anymore, but I do miss this terribly! +D2 - Beef Fried Rice - great version of fried rice with a little addition of soy sauce and the chili oil for a kick We've also tried the A4 - Fried Salt & Spicy Wings (these are crispy, but definitely had an interesting taste to it - honestly, it reminded me of Ruffles' Cheddar & Sour Cream - weird, right?!) and the C3 - Mongolian Beef Stir-Fried Noodles (Mongolian beef with noodles, this was stated to be a super popular dish; we thought it was okay, and glad we tried it, but wasn't a repeat order). One thing that was a little irksome was that there was always something found in my Hong Kong Style Noodle Soup - two times, it was a small piece of metal (staple? part of a stainless steel scrubber?); and, another time, it was an unidentified object, which I freaked out, thinking it was a bug (ended up being a mushroom?). It was not an issue to get the bowl replaced, which the restaurant made no fuss in doing; just thought it was kind of ridiculous it happened several times! I love that the kitchen is encased with clear windows, so you can see the staff making the noodles and preparing the dishes. It seems as if the restaurant retains its staff, as we have had the same servers on our visits - service has always been friendly, welcoming, and efficient. Plenty of parking in the shared plaza lot. +check your soups for random items +Hong Kong Noodle Soup! +Beef Fried Rice +housemade hand-pulled noodles +friendly service +plenty of parking in shared plaza lot

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing. We licked our plates clean and we only wished that we could have come back.

Yelp
The food was really good and flavorful! We had a variety of options for our first visit. Our favorite was the Shredded Chicken stir fry with garlic sauce. Perfect amount of sauce and spice but you can add more. The pork wontons in chili oil were really good! The Fried Salt and spicy wings were pretty good but the breading is extra crispy like traditional Korean fried chicken. Happy we tried it.
