The Best Soups In Seattle - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Noodle/Bar in South Lake Union is a beacon of light on a crummy weather day no matter what you order, be it fantastic dumplings stained orange with chili sauce, or braised tofu and mushrooms over rice. But if you're still shivering through your Patagonia puffer, you want this soupy bowl of wanza mian with ground pork, tender Chinese broccoli, and chickpeas. It has nutrients, it has a slow-burning spice, and it has your name written all over it. Especially if your name is Noodle." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley

The 17 Best Dumplings In Seattle - Seattle - The Infatuation

"This South Lake Union Sichuan spot specializes in noodles, but it's impossible to forget about the dumplings here. There's only one type, and they rule—complete with ground pork and chives, firm dough, and creases meant to catch stray herbs and swirls of hot and sour broth. Said broth pooled at the bottom is so tangy and delicious that we save it as a dip for the noodles." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley

Seattle's 19 Best New Dishes Of 2022 - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Noodle/Bar is a cozy South Lake Union Chinese spot that’s very clearly devoted to noodles. However, their finest dish is not a noodle-based item at all—it’s the pork and chive dumplings in hot and sour broth. Each dumpling is a pouch of flavor-blasted ground pork made even tastier by sauce that’s equal parts spicy, tangy, and rich." - aimee rizzo

The Best Restaurants & Bars In South Lake Union - Seattle - The Infatuation

"This Sichuan spot from the same team behind Plenty Of Clouds is an ideal place for dinner and cocktails that won't be packed (or closed) on a Monday, or somewhere to have a post-work date that's not as chaotic as Tapster. There are soupy bowls of wanza mian with ground pork, tender Chinese broccoli, and chickpeas if the weather is garbage, and when it’s one of those classic Seattle scorchers, go for some cold buckwheat noodles tossed with chicken and pickled vegetables in a chili-spiked soy sauce. Either way, you’ll want an order of outstanding dumplings, stuffed with pork and swimming in a tangy hot and sour broth that stains each wrapper bright orange." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley

Google
Perfect lunch spot on a crisp fall day in Seattle. Typing this while I’m still at the table because it was THAT good. One of the top 5 best meals I’ve ever enjoyed. Service was great and simple, chef created amazing fresh food that lived up to the hype of ramen/pho and the noodles are made in house! Photos before and after attached to prove it was too good to leave anything behind! For reference: we ordered the pork soup dumpling appetizer, burning noodles, beef meatball noodles in broth, sichuan cucumbers small plate and pickled veggies small plate. Will be back next time we are in Seattle!

Awesome little spot to pop by in South Lake Union. We were passing through town and needed a good stop for lunch. This did just the trick. The atmosphere is open and airy with nice mitts and wall coloring. There’s a good number of tables and ample lighting with windows on two sides. Service overall was fine, nothing notable given there were only maybe 6 customers in the restaurant at the time but got the job done. The food itself was quite tasty and had nice hits of flavor. I went with the spicy peanut noodles with pork which was delicious. I wished the pickled cucumber was on the sweeter side but other than that it was a hit. My gf got the other spicy noodles which she enjoyed, just didn’t think they were that spicy. We also split an order of dumplings which were tasty. A fun lunch spot if you’re in the area for some casual and tasty eats.

I love this place. The Wanza Mian is unique and one of the best bowls of noodles around. They also have great vegan options. Go here!

Google
American Chinese noodle shop trying hard to be authentic who caters more to takeouts than dine-in customers. 💁🏻‍♂️ We had to wait for 15min to be seated when there was plenty of empty seats and the waitress was sorting the takeout orders. Then another 25min for our food. It’s just a normal weekday. The Yi Bin noodles were nothing like the real thing. Salty and oily. The only good thing was the baby back ribs. Probably won’t come back.

Google
A hidden gem located in South lake Union. This place succeeded my expectations. Service here is immaculate. I appreciate how vegetarian friendly this restaurant is. The best thing that we got was the ribs and the yibin burning noodles.the dumplings were authentic and flavorful. I highly recommend this place and would come back.

Google
Came here on a whim since it was the closest place for Asian food near El Corazon. On a hot afternoon in late June, the place was a tad warm but after sitting under one of their fans for a while it isn't so bad. Their cold buckwheat noodles dish and their shaken iced tea were exactly what I needed to beat the heat. It was so refreshing. Next time I will get the noodles with no meat because the crunchy pickled veggies were more than enough. It was perfect. My boyfriend got the spicy peanut noodle (which replaced the dan dan noodles on their menu) and he really liked it!

Google
I very rarely find it necessary to leave a review, but I was shocked with how highly rated this place was based on the food I received. Disclaimer: I did order takeout, so I am rating purely based off of the food as I received little/no service and did not sit down to eat for ambiance. I got the Yibin Burning Noodles and appreciated how all of the toppings were assembled in the takeout container. That's about where the positives end. The noodles were INCREDIBLY salty. Not technically inedible, but each bite made everything less and less appealing. I feel like there's not enough veggies to offset some of the textural aspect of the noodles (though, the nuts help). I like spicy food, but this wasn't really spicy. It did give me a strange tingly sensation on my tongue, though I'm sure it's due to the chilis. I wonder if this was just a bad batch, because people seem to really enjoy the food here. I might try something else and chalk this up to a bad first experience, but I could only take about four bites before giving up.

Interesting place to service noodle, pho and other dishes. There is bar with nice decorations, much western style not mapped to noodle The soup is too salty

Yelp
Noodle/Bar is a small restaurant tucked away in SLU around the REI area. It has pretty dim lighting so it's pretty great for 1:1 dinners or dates. I'll start out by saying that I really enjoyed the Shaken Iced Tea & the vegetables. The Strange-Flavor Cauliflower, aside from its hilarious name, was so flavorful. I wasn't sure how mala and mint would mix together but it was great. I also liked the Cucumbers, your classic Chinese cold cucumbers! I didn't think the noodles were anything special. Actually, it felt like there was too much noodle in each dish; not enough sauce, soup, or toppings to balance it out. I will say that I'm happy that they take substitutions for vegetarian options. Not sure if I'd come back since I was disappointed by the main dishes, but I would recommend trying it out.

Yelp
A convenient noodle store in SLU. The place is spacious and clean. The noodles themselves were tasty, but nothing spectacular. I think they were cooked well and not soggy, but I wasn't impressed by the flavours. The food didn't really have an identity, it felt like they were a place that just wanted to make asian style noodles. Despite having a large space, they were extremely understaffed when I went. They had only 2-3 employees and tons of customers, so the service was very slow. It took 20 minutes for them to serve water and over an hour and a half for the food. To their credit, they did give us a discount for waiting so long.
google avatar

Claire Y.

Yelp
They only have different types of noodle dishes, and I would say taste is average. It is definitely NOT authentic but it's not bad. They only have 1 server in the whole restaurant so she was very busy attending all the tables, and therefore service is definitely subpar. Place has dim lighting. Street parking.

Yelp
Pros: they are speedy and the flavor was good. Cons: seems that they are focused on to go and the service was very a bit brusk. The noodles where a touch undercooked (makes sense with to go to insure they don't overcook). And these are some pricey noodle bowls, that are a conservative size. Would expect a bit more in all areas to make me want to return.

Yelp
Food: 1/10 I ordered the Combo, and I could not have been more disappointed in my life, given the number of good reviews I had seen for this place. The wontons in the noodle soup were pretty standard, as were the noodles, which tasted like commercial-grade lo mein. The broth was the main issue. It was completely bland yet very salty and slightly spicy. Unfortunately, it made everything taste pretty bad. I wouldn't come back to try the noodles or broth, but I am open to trying their other offerings that are not those. Service: 5/10 The server was nowhere to be found when I arrived, and I had to go and find someone myself (probably kitchen staff) in the open kitchen area to place the order. If the waiter is going to go on break or something, I think it's important to have other staff aware and ready to fulfill any necessary roles, especially front-of-house. After the waiter returned, they were very helpful and even offered to switch my noodles for something else since I didn't like them. There have been very few occasions where I absolutely did not like the food, but the server was extremely nice despite the lack of service in the beginning.

Yelp
Ambiance and service was fantastic! Everyone was super friendly and made sure that we were well attended to The noodles themselves were just meh. It was too salty for our liking and definitely is not authentic if that's something you're looking for.

Yelp
We came in for SRW after reading their great reviews. The place was pretty empty so we had no issues getting a seat. When we entered, no one greeted us so we kind of just looked around and saw the menus by the door. We sat down near the door and the waitress greeted us. Make sure you don't sit near the door. Every time she went to get the menus, she was almost brushing our table. There was a lot of seating if you're coming with a larger group. The food was okayish. We definitely came in with the expectation that it was going to be a modern take, but it was just not that great. I ordered the sesame noodles vegetarian. The food came out super quick, but unfortunately was not vegetarian. Before I could eat it, the waitress caught their mistake and brought me another one. My boyfriend and I just weren't impressed with the food. I did love the cucumbers though. I did not finish even 50% of my noodles.

Yelp
3.5 stars This is a cute neighborhood noodle place. We came on a Sunday for lunch. Arrived at 11:30am, and there was no wait. The service was quick and attentive, however, food was lacking. We got the sesame noodles, Yibin Burning noodles, and combo noodles. We all agreed that the flavor was a bit dull with a mostly savory taste and a little bit of spice. Not as flavorful as we imagined.

Yelp
A cute noodle bar in Seattle! I had finished my morning work coffee shop hopping and stumbled across this noodle bar. I arrived just before the lunch crowd on a week day but was seated immediately. I got the House Egg Noodles and the Chinese greens and both were brought out very promptly. The noodles were al dente and had a bit of bounce to them. I don't see lotus roots often in non traditional Chinese restaurants so I was pleased to find them included in this dish. The ingredients were very cohesive and I finished the entire bowl. The greens were snappy and fresh and a nice compliment to a bit of a heavier bowl. I would recommend this spot for a weekday lunch whether dining with a group or solo!

Yelp
My noodle enjoyers - if you're expecting a modern, refreshing take on Asian noodles... this place ain't it. The food feels wrong, inauthentic. I don't know who created these recipes, but I can only assume they aren't Asian. And if they are? Well, then it's just sad. Server was nice. Atmosphere is fine. Food is really bad.

Yelp
These noodles hit the spot, specially after a rainy fall morning. Not only was the restaurant ambiance lovely, but the service was so good. Our waiter took the time to walk us through their menu and gave amazing recommendations. A must try when in Seattle!

Drake R.

Yelp
My partner and I just moved here from Chicago and this place is a block from where we live. We walked over one day for lunch and were shook at how good this place is. We've been here 3 weeks and have already gotten it two times. We also got the garlicky pickles as an appetizer, so good. Not pictured but we also ordered "the combo" and beef meatball noodle.

Yelp
Located in SLU, this is a pretty decent Asian fusion noodle spot opened up by owners from Plenty of Clouds. The concept features a slightly more upscale format for noodle dishes of dry and wet varieties, as it doubles up as a bar with some cocktails. I personally tried the Wanza Mian which had ground pork, numbing spices, chickpea, and spicy and tangy broth. The noodles were flavorful though a little bit on the softer side, but the dish itself is very hearty and not too spicy. I liked it overall, but the dish is on the saltier side. Also, $19 for not that much food is on the higher end of the pricing, and they also just raised the prices so that did not help. I had to get half of the dish to-go because I was not able to handle that much salt in one seating, and I eat out often enough to tolerate salt decently well. Service is fast and more casual, so the meal was a relatively quick yet enjoyable one. I may try a dry noodle dish in my next visit and see if anything changes.

Yelp
We walk by this place and saw inside looks very cool so decided to give this noodle place a try . Wow! The wanza noodle was amazing . Tasty soup , a hint of the mala tastes but not too salty . Noodle is perfectly cooked. You have to add the fried eggs, it is the high light of the noodle . Dip this egg in the soup , tasty inside and crispy outside . Perfect authentic flavor and modern style mixed. We will try some other different noodle next time . Service is also 10/10, highly recommended

Yelp
Came here for dinner on a weekday night and really enjoyed our meal here! It was Seattle Restaurant week when we went so they had an entree and side dish special for $20. Service was friendly and welcoming. It wasn't too crowded since we came a bit later in the evening so we were able to choose where we wanted to sit. I got the combo broth noodle and paired it with the cucumbers. Such a delicious meal! I also had one of their non-alcoholic cocktails which was very refreshing. My husband got a more spicy broth noodle dish with their chickpea bean curd appetizer. I think I preferred the cucumbers more. Overall, a really great spot and I will definitely be back to try the other items! Wish they had some dessert options though!

Yelp
Loved the noodle, chewy and tasty Good environment Nice and friendly service Street parking is easy to find

Yelp
What a great meal. I got the combo and it was absolutely delicious. The broth was rich and had a flavor that I guess I didn't know I was missing! Noodles were great, the dumplings were great, and the peanuts were a great touch. I was there when it was a bit empty so my order came quick and I had great service. The place should never be empty, the food was amazing.

Yelp
never got our food. left after 90 minutes. horrible horrible horrible horrible!!!! do not come if you want to eat!!! "i haven't eaten all day" after asking the waitress what's going on!!!

Yelp
A perfect spot for noodles on a rainy Seattle morning! Their noodles are made from scratch in house and you can tell by the freshness and flavor! I am obsessed with the cucumber salad though, will definitely come again!

Bryce D.

Yelp
$20 for this Red Braised Pork Rice Bowl, fried shallots, pickled vegetables, cilantro, peanuts. I rather eat 4 cheese burgers in dicks or eat buffet serving too small. Pork looks old tast of that food not good. This is my honest opinion.

Tian L.

Yelp
Great food and environment. Hidden gem in SLU. The service is pretty solid too. Loved the mini burger they gave us after meal
google avatar

Yelp
Great to see the Asian/Szechuan/sorta fusion concept from same owners of Plenty of Clouds bringing it to SLU. I don't have a lot of go-to dinner options in mind that are top choices in SLU, but this place is now on my list. I got the dan dan noodles, and the quality of the noodles was fantastic. The spiceness and seasoning was dialed back, but it still captured that classic dan dan flavor. Great cocktails too.

Yelp
Okay trying to understand why there aren't more reviews (and a wait?!) for this place? Lest I be the driver of the latter... Four of us wanted noodles with vegetarian options on Saturday night. A friend had read about this place. A lovely person on the phone confirmed outdoor seating. Score! We were in. Arrived 6:30 pm, promptly seated on their adorable deck. Cocktails on point. I had the Yoshimi on Vacation, which is mezcal, rum, rhubarb, shrub, grapefruit, and lime. Comes in a tall glass with some fizz. Surprisingly refreshing, a great summer drink. The group of us shared three apps; most memorable were the sichuan pickles (seriously so good!) and the braised tofu and mushroom bowl (could be a meal on its own). The tofu was tender and marinated perfectly, and the rice crispy hot. Loved this dish. Each of us got noodle mains; I opted for the vegetarian Wanza Mian with a fried egg. I am not sure I've ever seen an egg fried like this before (maybe deep fried?!?) The yolk was still soft, and the first few bites were just outstanding. Also, pro tip: you can adjust the spice when ordering. I asked for low spice, and it was perfect -- just a small kick. All the mains can be made vegan or vegetarian; love a place where everyone can find something they like! Total for four people (including 5 cocktails), including 20% tip (our choice -- service was great!): $198, or about $50 pp for apps, a main, and cocktails. Can't wait to return. Gan bei!

Yelp
Visited this week and absolutely LOVED the food and drinks here. I ordered the Combination bowl and the potstickers with the broth were fantastic. Broth was rich and well balanced, with the flavors of the peanuts and bok choy complemented perfectly. Noodles were the perfect texture with a bit of chew. We also ordered the Dan Dan noodles and they were delicious, with just the right spice ratio. Will absolutely visit again and order both of these! The non alcoholic cocktails were also delicious, we had one of each and loved them both. Very nuanced, I was almost worried they made us real cocktails but it was just that the flavors were really well balanced! The space is very sweet and I like the aesthetic but the restaurant was largely empty so I hope their business picks up so they stay open. Staff was very kind and service was fast. Will be back soon!

Yelp
Tried this place on a whim during restaurant week. I didn't have any expectations going in but I was food was delicious, and perfect for a chilly fall day. I service was mid though and the door was left open a lot so a lot of cold air breeze came through which dampened the quality of the ambiance...overall satisfied though and will be returning

Yelp
Great service and good food. An easy and good spot for a quick bowl of comfort. Also has Chinese moonshine for an added kick

Yelp
Solid, casual spot to grab some interesting noodles and eats! We found a table pretty easily on a late Saturday night. The noodles are interesting twists on typical Chinese noodle fare. We tried the House Egg Noodle, which felt like a variation of Taiwanese beef noodle soup. The egg noodles themselves felt really fresh and had a nice springy and chewy texture. The broth and pork were on the subtler side and gave very homey vibes. The Wanza Mian was also solid and had a rich flavor, although I felt like it could have used a little more of a mala kick. We also got the cumin-rubbed ribs and dumplings. Both of these were flavorful and great for sharing to round out the noodle bowls.

Yelp
I come here for lunch all of the time, amazing Chinese-style noodles. It's usually pretty quiet during lunch so I'm always seated and served quickly. My only critique is that the menu is a bit pricey, but the quality of the food is worth it.
google avatar

Somani K.

Yelp
Very humble ambiance. Not a lot of effort into the decor but a pretty big space. Food was solid, got the yibin burning noodles which was quite oily but had that numbing spice. Also got the sesame noodles, which were great. It was nice that substitutions were very easy to make.

Yelp
I'd give you 1 star BUT I know folks subconsciously push those to the side... Where to begin, where to begin. I'm not from the area, I was only here for one day and night for work, unfortunately. I stumbled on this place and the reviews seemed on point so off I went on my scooter taking in the sights and sounds of downtown. The elation that I felt outside quickly dissipated as I entered their establishment. It was an uncomfortable experience for a plethora of reasons found below! The menus are behind you on the wall as you walk into the restaurant. I'm not sure who enters a building and immediately does an about face to grab eatery options but surely there's better placements then that. I stood waiting to be seated, then was expected to know what I wanted to eat immediately. I got asked twice if I was eating in or dining out. Once when standing and once when sitting. The first time I let slide as a valid question, the second? Began to make it seem like I wasn't welcome. The straw that broke the camel's back worse than pickled jalapeños or reheated meatballs in my broth de noodles? I received the bill before I could even finish my drink...no mentions of seconds, another drink dessert? Who knows if they have it...the menu was shown and taken from me faster than woman's rights in this country. 1 Bowl of noodles and 1 cocktail for 33 bucks, now I'm in the proverbial Black conundrum, tip like s**t and reinforce a negative stereotype or tip as usual? The latter prevailed. You all didn't deserve my business or my tip, you do however, deserve this review. Be Better. I included some of my pics from my walk, enjoy!

Yelp
Been hearing about this place for a while, and stopped in to check it out last week. I got one of the spicy numbing schezwan pork & noodle soups with a fried egg. First off, $25 for soup, tax and tip is way too much for a bowl. Further, the soup was served way too hot (to where I hate to wait five minutes for it to get down to edible temp because the first bite scorched the insides of my mouth). It also felt a tad under seasoned / under salted and with Asian foods, the salt draws out the taste so maybe having a bit of soy sauce or salt on the table would be a good idea. The service was a 5/5. Decor and feel of the restaurant was a 5/5 as well. I asked to speak to the owner or chef, and I was told the owner wasn't in, but the head chef was (and was hanging out at the coffee bar), but they refused to come chat. Oh well. I would've provided the same feedback verbally.

Yelp
This is cool restaurant off the beaten bath in SLU. It's neat inside with a nice bar, and the bartender/server on my first visit was really friendly. I recommend the food and drinks here. I've had the sesame noodles twice and the ribs. The noodles were a bit too salty the first time, and I say this as someone who loves salt; but the salt was actually burning my tongue by the end of the meal. Still, the flavor was so good, I craved it so much that I had to go again! No burning tongue this time, still pretty salty, but still really good. I've noticed that this was a critique of the food in other reviews, so I hope Noodle/Bar will take it into account to optimize this dish. Their smoke and mirrors drink is delicious. I could see coming here pretty regularly, and definitely recommend people come give this place a try. It's worth the small detour!

Yelp
My friends and I chose this place because the food looked good and based off of the few reviews we saw, this restaurant was highly rated. The restaurant is spacious and offers a lot of seating. Service was great and our server took real good care of us, hence the two stars. If I could rate the food, I don't know if it even deserves a single star. I enjoy spicy food so I let the server know if spice level was an option, I'd like it spicy. I only brought this up because my friend was ordering hers to be "less spicy." The food came out pretty quick, even after my dish had to be sent back because I didn't get what I ordered. Even up until then it was totally fine, I was eager to try my food. What was presented in front of me was a bowl of oil (no "soup" to be seen) with some noodles, veggies, and chicken. Still, I did not bat an eye because I mentioned I like my food spicy and restaurants tend to think adding chili oil to anything is the solution to making the broth spicy so I went with it. I was used to that concept. But when I took my first bite, it tasted a little off so I mixed the noodles and took another bite. Still tasted weird but couldn't describe what it was. After the third bite I knew I couldn't eat it anymore. I felt like I took a handful of salt in my hand and just licked the whole palm. The food was so salty, yet not spicy at all. Not wanting to make a big deal, I poured a FULL glass of water into my bowl and mixed. Took another bite and it was still too salty I couldn't take another bite. At first I thought it was the numbing of the mala, but after several bites I knew it wasn't. The photo shows the dish I got, and the second photo shows what was left over. Although the service was great, I don't think I'll ever be able to go back. Spent $20 for basically the gummi candy they gave out which was great to cleanse out my palate.

Yelp
A nice new spot from the team at Plenty of Clouds. Lots of yummy selections of both food and drink. The dumplings and Mao Er Duo were the standouts but everything was fresh and well prepared. Go soon as this place will probably get popular fast.

Yelp
I've now gone here several times so far and I've very much enjoyed the variety of dishes inspired by regional Chinese cuisine available to order. Friendly and informative staff! Their is a lot of available seating so don't hesitate to give this place a try on a whim. My favorite dish so far has been the Wanza Mian for its intense mouth numbing and spicy flavor. If you've never experienced mouth numbing Sichuan peppercorn based dishes before and you're someone who enjoys intensely spiced food, I highly recommend giving it a try. If you prefer something with a strong flavor but not spicy, then I would recommend the baby back ribs - they feature a coating with a delightfully crispy texture that is surprisingly thin. The pork and shrimp dumplings had a nice springy wrapping with a nice bite and bright vinegar based sauce (not over cooked and mushy, and not overly salty). Perhaps the most exciting item on the menu is the Smoke and Mirrors cocktail, which is a rye based cocktail featuring a smoky infusion of Lapsang Souchang tea. The depth of flavor from Lapsang Souchang cannot be overstated and this cocktail integrates it very well.

Yelp
Ordered: Wanza Mian, Yibin Burning Noodles, Pork & Chive Dumplings, Chinese Greens. All so perfect on a cold night. All excellent! Perfect balance of savory, spicy, and mildly salty. The house made noodles were firm but not too chewy. The chinese greens very nicly garlicy and savory, not at all too salty. Extremely friendly, welcoming staff. This place is seriously under-rated. As a former cook in a well-regarded szechuan restaurant, I would be a regular if this place was located in my neighborhood.

Yelp
Yummy spot with very flavorful dishes! Everything had a bit of a twist on authentic flavors but it was all very well done. Dumpling - delicious fillings, very umami! comes in a savory lightly spicy sauce that honestly I would dip any carb-based food in Eggplant appetizer - a bit spicy but great flavor Wanza mian - good noodle texture, big portions! Soup was a little tangy which I loved House egg noodle - thicker noodles with a good chew, slow roasted fall-apart beef Will be coming back often!

Yelp
Noodle/Bar just opened up in SLU, and it is so convenient to have a great place to have drinks and food. This place has a wide array of noodles that are bouncy, well bodied, and holds onto sauces really well! I got the Wanza Mian after my server recommended it, and it met my expectations. The dumplings were filled nicely and tasted like they made it in house! The pickles were great to cut the oils that were added to the noodles and dumplings. I would say the spices are not sweat inducing spicy, but a good hint of heat to compliment the dishes. Overall, nicely formatted restaurant with the noodles being the highlight.

Yelp
We were excited to try this new ish shop now that they have opened for lunch service. The most impressive aspect in my opinion is that even though the menu is relatively short, how many styles of noodles from totally different regions they can offer. I found the actual dishes a little lacking in complexity. Nothing was bad, just a bit bland. The dishes were nice conceptually and presented well with fresh ingredients, but I found that the flavor profiles were lacking in depth. Overall, it's worth a try, but for the price I'd think twice about coming here regularly since I didn't find it out of this world amazing.

Yelp
Came here for lunch yesterday and WOW! I've tried food at Noodle/Bar's sister restaurant, Dump Truck by Plenty of Clouds a couple of times, and love the bold, bright flavors and high-quality ingredients. Noodle/Bar did not disappoint. They have a simple yet cozy interior with excellent service. The menu is small but if I'm not mistaken, they rotate dishes based on the season. I had wanted to try a noodle soup with buckwheat and chicken but it was unavailable so I ordered the beef meatball soup with buckwheat noodles. Everything about this dish was ideal for a cold, rainy Seattle winter day: the nutty aroma and taste of the buckwheat noodles, the moist and flavorful beef meatballs, the wood ear mushrooms and bok choi, all in a fragrant, rich broth with chili oil that was not overwhelming. The portion size was just right. I enjoyed this soup with a really yummy chrysanthemum tea. A superb dining experience. I will look forward to more meals here and at Plenty of Clouds.

Yelp
The Wanza Mian, with its chewy noodles and spicy broth, was the perfect lunch for a cold, rainy Seattle day. Great service too.

Yelp
Good food worth a try but the best part was the employees. The waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable. She even recommended another place for us to try during our visit. The cook also told us to have a great night and both thanked us for coming. I would definitely go back

Yelp
the sesame noodles taste like peanut butter and the combo noodles broth was inedible. actually both were inedible.
