Best Under-the-Radar New Restaurant Openings to Check Out in Los Angeles, April 2025 | Eater LA

"A former food truck that opened a permanent location in Venice in mid-April; it's all about the noodles. Try one of the pre-made creations like the Noodsalad with greens, glass noodles, and peanut sauce, or the Mexicana with a birria base and garlic pepper. Diners can also build their own noodle bowls with a choice of ramen noodles, glass noodles, or yakisoba, combined with bases like chile garlic, green curry, birria, and mixed green salad." - Rebecca Roland

Noods is an amazing spot right in the heart of Venice Beach. Super stylish and modern place, perfectly located between clothing boutiques — you instantly feel the vibe when you walk in. The atmosphere is cool, trendy, and very Venice. The food was absolutely delicious, everything we tried was great. Overall experience was fantastic. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in Venice Beach — definitely worth a visit.

Google
Ordered the birria and garlic noodle options. Both were fantastic! Full of flavor, not dry, good amount of food for the cost. Staff was super friendly and helpful! Brought food to my car because there was no parking.

Google
I had garlic chili noods, they were mediocre. Maybe I’m wrong but I think the “chili” in garlic chili stands for bell peppers and whatever this artificial red chili sauce pictured is. Service was nice, they brought food out to me and provided extra sauce.

Jubran D.

Google
Tofu tastes funky and was cold in the middle. Sauce was bland but super salty, a bad combo. If I wasn’t starving would’ve thrown this away, ended up eating just the noodles.

Noods, Finally! I’ve been waiting for Noods on Abbot Kinney to open for so long and Finally here we go. 🍝 I tried the Garlic Chilli with Chicken and yellow noodles Texture🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟: the noodles are soft yet bouncy, juicy but not slimy. The chicken(it was a lot a lot a lot of chicken) is so tender, perfectly grilled. Flavor 🌟🌟🌟🌟: overall the sauce is balanced, for the first half… the first few bite are WOW. Though personally it was a little too sweet and in order to balance it out, they added too much soy sauce instead of chilli, it turned out to be too salty and not spicy at all. The first half was fine but at the end it was a little overwhelming 🥲 Presentation 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟: super cool seen through cup noodles presentation 🌸 it’s on Abbot Kinney so it’s definitely a good choice to stop by when you’re hungry and craving for noodles. Perfect for summer!

Google
Highly recommend NOODS! Third time here and they never dissapoint! Excelllent service,Very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure I felt taken care of. And always playing a great variety of music.🎶

Google
Wow wow wow!!! From the minute you step in, you can smell the amazing food. Noods was definitely worth the wait!!! I got the Mexicana Bowl but made it my own style. And words can’t describe how delicious it was. It was so good I ate it twice within the same week. The staff is incredibly nice as well. There’s also tables outside where you can eat.

Adam S.

Google
Guys everything is amazing here but the music is literally brutal and horrendous. (I think giving non 5 star reviews to restaurants with great food also sucks bc it’s so hard to open a good place) anyway, dear pals, go to any popular cafe/coffee shop/lunch spot and you’ll hear good music references. The noodles are amazing and I’d love to go back, but with music that loud and that bad, i don’t know if I’ll be able to. Just please play anything other than overdone radio synth pop. Some nice jazz or softer rock or like chill 90s hip hop even — and way, way quieter. The guys in there were super nice — I’m sure they listen to a tribe called quest or like sublime or even Olivia dean or something. Let them figure it out and play the tunes. Y’all have the food down. Now just look into elevating general vibes, my friends. You got this. I believe in you. Keep cookin up that good good. Blessings

Yelp
I work around Abbot Kinney and am always looking for a decently priced lunch option. Enter Noods. I absolutely love noodles, so I was beyond excited to try this spot. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful -- especially for an indecisive person like me -- pointing out what's popular, what they personally like, and what they recommend. I chose to go the "build your own" route and landed on: 1. Base: Chili Garlic 2. Noodles: Yakisoba 3. Protein: Fire-grilled chicken 4. Toppings: Carrots, cabbage, red peppers, sesame seeds, crunchy chili garlic The portions are solid -- I easily got two meals out of one bowl. Since I like spice, they gave me a side of their spicy sauce, which added both sweetness and heat. With all the sauce, it was definitely a bit messy, but the flavor was bold and the kick was real. The noodles and chicken were cooked well, though next time I might choose something a little less intense so I can better appreciate all the ingredients. With that much heat and garlic, some of the other flavors got lost. All in all, lunch for about $25 on Abbot Kinney is a great deal, and I'll definitely be back to try more combinations!

Yelp
How does this place have such high ratings? The wait was over 30 minutes for one noodle bowl to go. The cashier didn't communicate that there would be a wait whatsoever. seemed to be a common occurrence as no one had their food in the restaurant. I ordered the glass noodles with green curry base and it tasted like a cheap gentrified version of the dish. As an Asian person, I genuinely felt upset about how there was no curry in this dish. It didn't smell or taste like it. This was a $20 dish after tax.

Yelp
I was curious about this new noodle shop on Abbot Kinney! It's small, with a few cafe tables outside and one inside for seating. Most people order to go. The food was made fresh so served hot and the taste was delicious. HOWEVER. I did takeout and didn't look at the container until I opened it to eat. Major disappointment and concern as their thin plastic containers are most likely not heat resistant, which means chemicals leach into food. Cool concept as a store offering only noodle dishes but PLEASE change your serving and takeout containers!!

Yelp
Funny thing--I never actually look forward to takeout. Too many things can go wrong: Food gets cold Food gets soggy The takeout bag rips A homeless person snatches it My pets treat it like a buffet But NOODS? NOODS made takeout fun again. Their takeout "Noods Box" looked like the Tiffany's of food packaging--a total scene-stealer and perfect for a TikTok unboxing. I ordered the ever-popular Garlic Chili Noods (2 with chicken, 1 with beef) for me and my two boys. The Thai Bomb (with chicken) went to the wife. And for my famously picky daughter, a build-your-own soba with seared ahi tuna. The verdict? The garlic chili noods were a smash hit with the guys. Perfect portions, bold flavor--I usually hesitate with new garlic noodle spots, but NOODS delivered. I've officially found my new go-to. The Thai Bomb was another winner. If you're into green curry, this is your jam. The only complaint from my wife? Too much for her tiny stomach--she took the leftovers to work the next day, and yep, the flavor held. As for my daughter? She liked it enough to stretch it over two days. The real win? She asked when we could go again. If you know kids, you know that's everything. I also got to chat with Tommy, the owner--super cool guy and a long-time food truck vet. NOODS has only been here a few months, but it's already filling a serious gap in the neighborhood. Don't get me wrong--Abbot Kinney is fun and all, but the food variety at that $17-$20 range? Sparse. Glad you're here, NOODS. Looking forward to becoming a regular.

Yelp
I think this place is a winner. Tasty and different from other fast foods. Good variety. It's a great place to get a bite to eat, not a Michelin star restaurant. I would recommend it for what it is.

Yelp
We ordered delivery after browsing not knowing what to eat. Good choice! The noodles are so good! They have a few pre made flavors but you can also make your own. I had the Thai noodles, and they were delicious! My partner also got noodles and he enjoyed it as well. The servings were a good amount I was so full but satisfied. I can't say anything about the service or ambience but the noods were delicious!

Kassandra S.

Yelp
Was excited to try the noodles here and in the end was very disappointed :( The birria noodles did not taste anything like birria, but of course we are not at a Mexican restaurant, but it had a very odd flavor and we were not able to finish the meal We also tried the curry Thai & it had great flavor! The meat was dry and tough. It's a beautiful presentation & sounds amazing, but I feel like it can be better! The noodles itself weren't bad, but I think they should have an option of plain noodles. Their noodles are mixed with other veggies & it does give the noodles an odd flavor. Not sure what sauce they use separately for the noodles There's limited seating outside. The service was fast and we were able to watch them make our noodles. The staff were kind! Just not my cup of tea!

Yelp
I had a fantastic experience at Noodles a Noodle Concept today! I ordered their signature dish, the Thai Bomb, and it was absolutely delicious. As a vegan, I was thrilled with how flavorful and satisfying this dish was. The noodles were perfectly coated in the savory sauce, and the bowl had a great mix of texture thanks to the fresh veggies and that amazing, perfectly seasoned tofu (as you can see from the photo, they loaded it up with black pepper seasoning--so good!). The best part? The price was actually amazing for how filling the portion was. If you're looking for a great value, vegan meal that truly explodes with flavor, you have to try the Thai Bomb here. I'm already looking forward to my next visit! Does this version hit all the right notes for you? Don't forget to add the location before you post!

Yelp
Omg. Absolutely delicious! We tried the garlic chili noodles with chicken and the roasted brussel sprouts. So good. Please open a place up in the Bay Area. We need one and I would go all the time. The people happily slurping their noodles outside the tables tempted us as we were walking past. I asked a couple and this was a regular place for them. We will be back...
google avatar

Nandini M.

Yelp
Love the pick your own topping selection. Will say they were very difficult to mix in the serving bowl, I wish I had a bigger bowl to dump it into or that they mixed it and then put it in the bowl. It was yummy, but pricy for what it was, tho gotta contextualize for location. Not much seating, we waited and grabbed a spot outside

Yelp
I was in the neighborhood looking for lunch and stumbled upon Noods, so glad I did! Everything on the menu looked amazing, so I asked the cashier for a recommendation. He suggested the Garlic Chili Bowl, and I went with chicken for my protein. It was packed with flavor and seasoning, absolutely delicious. I'll definitely be back to try more from their menu!

Yelp
The best noodles ever. You cannot believe they have such a big variety Mexican Thai bomb garlic chili noodles and you have gluten-free. I want to tell you this is one of the best I have ever tried. I really recommend to come here.

Violeta F.

Yelp
This is the only place in LA where you can get a noodle box and it really lives up to the hype. Their whole mission is unforgettable flavor in every bite and they absolutely deliver. The chili noods are easily my favorite especially with grilled chicken crispy onions and scallions. The Mexicana is also a standout with that birria base and the perfect amount of kick in every bite. I also tried the nood salad made with glass noodles and added ahi tuna which was so good and super fresh. For sides the honey garlic cauliflower was insanely crispy and a definite favorite. I've never seen furikake fries on a menu before but somehow it totally works. And don't skip the blended limonada especially if you love a minty refreshing lemonade

Yelp
This noodle spot is right in the heart of Abbot Kinney and one of the few places on the block serving up fresh Asian noodles. There's no indoor seating -- just four small outdoor tables with two seats each -- so it's more of a grab-and-go situation. One thing to note: because they make everything fresh, the wait can be over 15 minutes, so it's not ideal if you're in a rush. I got the chili garlic noodles and they were bomb. Skip adding the avocado though -- you'll only get about four slices, and it's not really worth the extra cost.

Yelp
Wow what a nice place and so delicious!! Their noodles are so so good especially the Thai one. Cadens was amazing and spoil us . I will order them next time on DoorDash So happy I found them

Yelp
The food photos looked unreal and the store smelled so good I had to come try out Noods. The store is fast casual where you go to the front to place your order. There is no indoor seating and handful of small tables outside with very uncomfortable seats so I think it's better to order the food to go to be more comfortable. I ordered the Mexicana and my husband ordered a custom beef, ramen noodle, chili garlic base, cilantro, red onion, and scallions. I have to say I was let down by my noodles. They were not as saucy as I would have liked and the Birria base was more of a thick paste that clumped around the noodles. The toppings are not mixed in and since the cup is filled to the top it's hard to mix and might have been better if it was transferred to a larger bowl. The toppings tasted fine, I think my biggest issue is the base did not live up to my expectations. My husband really liked his bowl so perhaps it's best to pick a custom option you prefer. Next time I think I would try their glass noodles and a different base since the Birria one didn't deliver the saucy taste I wanted.
google avatar

Daniel R.

Yelp
This has gotta be some of the worst food in Venice. The noodles are flavorless and cold, the sauces are watery, and mostly everything seems precooked or served raw. It's more like a salad bar than a restaurant. I ordered the noodles with peanut sauce and added avocado, carrots, sriracha, scallions, and crispy onions. Not only did they forget all the added items, they also forgot crucial ingredients that came with the bowl, like the crunchy noodles. The crispy chili cauliflower came cold and soggy and dripping in wet, watery sweet sauce that had no spice. Honestly I can't believe this has more than 3 stars considering how many good restaurants are in Venice.

Yelp
I got the Birria/Ramen/Hot Beef bowl yesterday, 6/5/25. Everything was fine until about two hours later when I got a rumble in my tummy. I thought it no big deal. Well, it turned into a very big deal. I almost called for an ambulance about 3 hours into my position over the toilet. Cold sweats, extreme pain, chills, all of it was over once the food left my system. And leave my system it did... so much. It's very unfortunate, because this place doesn't taste so bad and is affordable and walkable. I just cannot ever trust them again. Absolutely was poisoned. Fwiw, I get whole habaneros on my taco stand burritos. Spice is not an issue for my stomach. This was absolutely something else.

Yelp
We had a good Noods experience! My friends and I ordered every dish on the menu, and I got the Thai bomb. The flavors were very good but maybe a little bit lacking in spice and a more well rounded flavor. Everyone enjoyed their dishes a lot though and there were no complaints on any of the different ones. We would recommend the Mexicana or the Soba breeze, but all of them are so yummy! The limonana is a must, super minty and yummy! The service was also quite good and our massive order didn't even take that long. Also the portions are HUGE so maybe share with a friend (or order with glass noodles for a lighter meal). Also gluten free accommodating but with cross contamination. One thing I would say is that the outdoor seating is nice but there's so much empty space inside where they could do some more seating. We didn't eat there but we sat outside as we waited. Thanks Noods!
google avatar

Susan A.

Yelp
We were walking by and admittedly the smell coming outta the door convinced us to order, it was so yummy. That, and we were hungry. So what it was 4pm?! We split an order of Chili Noods with chicken and a Limonana (which tastes like a Mohito slushy sans the booze-YUMMY). Filipinos would call this noodle dish Pancit but this is way better than the Pancit Mom or any Auntie ever made (keep that on the down low, will ya?) Ironically served to the brim in a plastic cup. Maybe as part of the masquerade of street food made restaurant quality? So be really careful mixing it up before eating or your pants will pay the stain price. The service is excellent and cheerful. The only downers are the napkins. They're small, thin and you'll need a copious quantity. We'll be back for more noodles--and napkins.

Yelp
Food was amazing, service was great, and music wasn't too loud where you can't talk to your date.

Yelp
Had the best Asian styles noodles over here. Flavorfull, fresh ingredients and great location! Recommend 100%!!
google avatar

Joy B.

Yelp
I got their noodle salad which was gluten free and peanut flavored! It was a great dish to go. Did not disappoint!
google avatar

Keymara G.

Yelp
This place smelled so good, we had to try, ambiance is nice they have outside seating, service was great and the food was amazing, favorite dish so far was their cauliflower dish, this a must try.
google avatar

Juan P.

Yelp
The food is delicious! I had the CHILI NOODS and would highly recommend to anyone. Imagine the Chow Mein from Panda, BUT actually good and full of flavor and fresh ingredients. I accompanied the dish with their LIMONANA which was very good and refreshing. The way I would describe it is a fresh mint lemonade slushy. Paired well with the noodles! Can't wait to be back and try the other 3 dishes !!!
google avatar

Anthony V.

Yelp
The service was super slow it felt like it took forever to get one order of noodles. The noodles themselves I thought were good, but absolutely not worth the wait. Plus they really messed up my stomach and I was bound to the toilet in pain not long after.

Nadia Y.

Yelp
The noods are the best! We have tried them all and the flavor combinations are terrific!

Yoni P.

Yelp
Really yummy noodles and loved that they had gluten free options. My kids loved it! It was perfectly seasoned.

Hilla P.

Yelp
I work just around the corner and Noods has quickly become my go-to spot for lunch and after-work cravings. The food is consistently amazing, but the Thai Bomb is on another level -- packed with flavor, just the right amount of heat, and super satisfying every single time. The staff is friendly, the vibe is chill, and the quality is always on point. So lucky to have this place nearby!

Alain M.

Yelp
The food here is amazing, the concept is great, and there's a lot of love put into it. I tried the curry noodles Thai style, and they were delicious. I can understand why everyone is raving about it.
google avatar

Yelp
Delish! Definitely worth coming here. My mom and I ordered the garlic chili noods and were quite impressed... most definitely coming back for more!
google avatar

Brody L.

Yelp
Really good and kind of Smokey and the fire grilled chicken and glass noodles were the best

Kaitlyn L.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing. Food is fresh and the flavor is on point. Service was friendly and the vibe is perfect. Ordered the Chili Garlic and the Mexicana, will be back for more!

Yelp
really tasty noodles! Love this place. Great for delivery too. Easy, quick, and filling

Yelp
We ordered the garlic chilli noodles and they were amazing. The place has great vibes and service.
