"Formerly a ghost kitchen in Oakland’s Adeline Food Hall, Noor Indian Fusion Kitchen has opened their own fancy brick-and-mortar space in Central Berkeley with tons of natural light and a few chandeliers. Aside from the curries that headline the menu, they also have a few shareables like samosas, tandoori wings, and biryani. " - ricky rodriguez

I had an amazing dining experience at Noor Indian Restaurant in Berkeley. The service was outstanding, with our waiter providing excellent recommendations that truly elevated our meal. Every dish was bursting with rich, authentic flavors, making for a memorable culinary experience. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and service. If you're looking for delicious Indian cuisine in a great atmosphere, I highly recommend this Restaurant!

We had a lovely Dinner experience at Noor. Everything we ate there exceeded our expectations. This is not an average Indian restaurant, you can tell that they have put in their heart and soul into the food. Every dish with its own uniqueness. This was our third time in this restaurant and every time we’ve been here they have refreshed their decor according to the occasion. This time they had their holiday decor and the place looked lively and festive. I can now safely say that this my go to place for my Indian food cravings.

Easily the best Indian food I’ve ever had! We had such a great experience with our server, who I believe may also have been an owner. He talked to us about how they grind their own spices in-house and use the traditional ingredient of cashews to make the dishes creamy instead of loading them up with creams, etc. You can definitely tell from the deep flavors and somehow both creamy but light sauces! Everything we ordered is pictured here except for the chicken momos, the tandoori chicken wings, and the pistachio rose tres leches, which were all excellent! The restaurant itself is beautiful as well, making for both a delicious and aesthetically pleasing dining experience. We will be back!

What a gem! Lovely decor and staff. All the food was great temperature, and great tasting. First time and will come here again. We enjoyed every dish!

Flavorful Indian food in a modern decor. Interesting interpretation of the food, a bit different than the traditional in a good way. Both food & decor cater to young crowd, not surprising as it's in Berkeley. Pani puri was nicely served and very flavorful. I ordered a tali set but it's more like a lunch set rather than tali (as tali should have more variety of small servings of different things. A chai was served in a beautiful china so not a lot of tea. Would be nice for one serving as a pot of tea rather than a small cup without refil. Also I expected jaggeri with chai but they only have regular white sugar. And it's not a strong chai either. Service was attentive (chef/ owner came out to ask patrons about their food) but some servers did not seem to know the food well.

Google
Good location and very very good service, had butter chicken and lamb chops and garlic naan. Lamb chops were not up to par for my taste buds, but the rest of the food tasted great..

Google
Wow, just wow, this place is WONDERFUL; the chicken korma was AMAZING, we got the mild plus spice level, and I would try the medium spicy level next time. The garbanzo dish was great as well, and it all went well with the garlic cheese naan… I could live on just the naan and the chicken korma sauce. Oh, I almost forget the VERY yummy and very FUN appetizer, Pani Puri - YUM! And the drinks - I got the hot Marsala chai (loved it) and my friend had the healing tea was crazy good - so flavorful (I will get that next time!)!!!!!!! Our server, Oshika, was the epitome of customer service, soooo friendly and helpful and her suggestions were perfect. The food was delivered quickly, and always with a huge smile. I loved her!! I said I wanted to come back again before I even left, I can’t wait to come again!!!

Very good atmosphere and food. Staff was helpful. Food was delicious. I am an Indian Native and it tastes just like in India. Best Indian food in town that I have tasted. Highly recommend! Only thing that can be improved is there very small selection on deserts.

Yelp
Perfect find for a last minute Valentine's Day date from the moment we stepped in to the restaurant. They attended us even though they were getting ready to close. So accommodating and lovely. The restaurant was decorated for Valentines Day. They really made an effort to make the night special. The food was so delicious. Served with a smile perfectly cooked Thanks again for the delicious meal and the amazing valentine atmosphere

Yelp
I'm from India, and have high standards for Indian food. The food at this restaurant is really good. And the ambience is excellent too. But I'm still not that fond of it. One, the menu is just too limited. They need a lot more variety. Two, the prices are really high compared to other Indian restaurants; I guess you pay for the ambience. Three, it's absurd that -- unlike every other Indian restaurant I have ever eaten at -- vegetable dishes and daal are priced the same as the meat dishes. Four, they charge an absurdly large amount for the unconscionably small quantities they give of rice and raita. The name includes the word fusion, but there's nothing on the menu to justify that. The only thing I've ever had there that I could call a fusion dish was a dessert that was really good but doesn't seem to be on the menu anymore. Once we made the mistake of ordering Paneer Tikka Masala. Tikka Masala is a standard dish. What they served us was nothing like what Tikka Masala is supposed to be. It was a pale orange color, and the flavor did not resemble Tikka Masala in any way, shape, or form. For my money, there are much better Indian restaurants close by. For example, try Breads of India on Sacramento St in Berkeley. A much better menu (much more variety, and many unique dishes), almost half the price after you factor in everything (lunch for 2 with chai, a glass of wine, and dessert was $51 after tax), an outstanding dessert that you won't find anywhere else (Phirni, a traditional rice pudding made with ground rice), and $5 house wine!

Yelp
This was my first time trying authentic Indian food, and I must say -- Noor knocked it out of the park with their food and service. Pictured below was all of the food my friends and I ordered, with my order being the butter chicken with plain balsamic rice and a rose lassi (food captions are not exhaustive). The butter chicken was aromatic and bold with generous amounts of various spices and swatches of cream and plenty of chicken. I ordered it with medium spice, and I thought all of the flavors came out just right. Enjoy it with a side of plain balsamic rice or plain naan -- that itself already makes for a delicious, memorable, and fulfilling meal! My beverage of choice was the rose lassi, which has a smooth and creamy texture. It's a little sour, so you can expect something similar to strawberry yogurt but blended with a thinner consistency. All in all, we loved our experience at Noor. Service was super sweet from start to end; not only were they patient, but they also packed our food for us! Space is wide and ambience is cozy, warm, and comfortable, and they play an awesome selection of music to fill the air. The only slight downside would be the price, but honestly speaking, the sheer quality of the food you get more than justifies the cost. Definitely one of the best Indian spots in Berkeley!

Yelp
Went to this restaurant because a friend had heard of it and it does not disappoint! The food was all super delicious and tasted like authentic Indian food. The staff was very friendly and gave us great recommendations as well. I will definitely be coming back to try some of the other dishes!

Yelp
Noor Indian Fusion Kitchen is aesthetically pleasing. It is a clean space with refined lines and space planning. I was a bit confused, not unusual BTW, lol. I thought the location on Adeline Street was a restaurant and it is only a place where you can pick up. This location on University Ave is the only location where you can dine in- FYI. My friend and I ordered some items to share. We ordered the butter chicken, vegetable biryani rice, naan , and an order of the onion fritters. To my surprise everything was tasty. I say to my surprise because sometimes when restaurants are on the modern side, they can be a bit too modern with the basic authentic cuisines that we come to know and love. Well the biryani rice was a bit colorful and spicy but flavorful. A place that you will have to add to your list of restaurants for 2025. Bon Appetite!

Yelp
Kudos to the cauliflower wings dish! This new Indian restaurant that boasts a beautiful buildout and tasty Indian fusion dishes. One of the few places where counter seating can be considered the best seats in the house. And last, but not least - a pistachio tres leches cake! BB

Scott H.

Yelp
Mediocre but by no means great. I ordered the tofu Tikka masala. Essentially it's a mushy mess. With tofu being essentially flavorless, it seems like you're eating a bland paneer ticker masala. Can the gravy, as they call it, is entirely too thick. My friend liked his lamb dish.

David K.

Yelp
Noor Indian Fusion is a modern restaurant offering beautifully-plated South Asian dishes in an elegant dining room. We started with the Darjeeling Chicken Momos, five small steamed dumplings with a spiced chicken filling, served with a tomato chutney. For our mains, the Muglai Chicken Changezi was made of smoked chunks of dark meat chicken in a lightly-spiced tomato and cashew gravy; but my favorite was the Saag Paneer, a dish of cottage cheese cubes in a pureed spinach sauce. The spinach puree was light, airy, creamy, and flavorful, and both curries went nicely with a side of laccha paratha, a layered whole wheat flatbread. Finally, we had the Lamb Biryani, a super flavorful, spicy mixture of basmati rice, spices, and tender lamb chunks, topped with fried onions, cashews, and chopped cilantro, and served with a side of raita. While tasty, the biryani was overpoweringly salty and spicy. While the food presentation here was beautiful, the flavors could have been more on point, the service was excruciatingly slow, and the prices were high for what we got.

Meena S.

Yelp
The food here is delicious one of a kind. My favorite here is Tofu tikka masala. I love their Samosa as well. Always I've taken it to go, but the service seems to be good because the packing is always well done.

Max K.

Yelp
Indian cuisine with a twist of modern fine place. Variety of colorful foods. Sorry to say that foods were so hot and spicy for us that couldn't finish our meals. Menu doesn't identify the spicy foods and/or level of hotness. Foods are pricy too. Vegetarian/vegan options available. Flat entry with wide area for accessibility. Free or paid street parkings. It's a decent clean restaurant with nice waitresses/waiters. Though our foods came pretty late and after couple follow ups. Unfortunately I may end up there again just because my niece likes the place and will take her there next time she's in town

Yelp
5 out of 5 stars ! Valentines Day was decorated beautifully, food was exquisite, and the staff were so welcoming! I will be coming back here!!

Yelp
Good lord! We just had the best chicken biryani in California! Absolute must try. Outstanding service and delicious food. Easy to reserve. Fine dining without any of the frills. Yelp Elites: Have your eyes on this restaurant. This place can give the Copras and Roohs a run for their money! Red wine sangria: 4/5 Well made. Arrived at our table with some delay. We thought they could have added fewer ice cubes but it was a good complement to our meal. Paneer Pakora: 3/5 Tender paneer. Tasted decent. But the outer shell felt a little dry for the pakora. Kale chaat: 2/5 This was just a massive bowl of sev. The kale was disproportionately sized for a chaat where that was meant to be the dominant ingredient. The chutneys also felt a little on the sour side than sweet side. Tandoori wings (5/5) This was tandoori chicken. I would rename their menu item to call it that. Cooked to perfection. So was the taste. And fantastic red colors! Chicken biryani (100% perfect) This was OUT OF THE WORLD. Perfectly cooked basmati rice with balanced flavors and good amount of tender flavorful chicken meat. Well sized portion for a table of 3. I also appreciated the cashew garnish. I would go on to add that after sampling biryanis across the length and breadth of the Bay Area, this is the best chicken biryani I've had outside of India. Amritsari Chole: 4/5 No surprises here. Can't go wrong with chole. Delicious as expected. I would have loved to see the onions be finely chopped. No other qualms. Gulab Jamun with ice cream: 5/5 Wow. The delicate and delicious warm Gulab jamun balls blew me away. They were also kind to offer an extra for the table. This was truly the icing on the cake. Haven't had gulab jamuns so good in a long time. No lumpy dough on the inside, just a warm whoof of air packed in a bouncy gulab jamun! Order this without second thoughts! I will return just to devour their delicious biryani!

Yelp
the interior of the restaurant is gorgeous, and the food is so flavorful. the dhaba chicken was incredibly tender, and the tofu tikka masala was a whole flavor bomb. i really enjoyed how they didn't skimp on the garlic in the garlic naan, and it provided the perfect vessel for the delicious curries. while the momos were solid, i think i'd go for a different appetizer next time!

Yelp
Noor Indian Fusion is an absolute gem! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by the most stunning ambiance. They decorate the restaurant for every occasion, and it's so aesthetically pleasing and unique. The attention to detail is incredible--even the little cardholder box for the bill was so cute that I had to take a picture of it (sadly, I couldn't take it home with me!). The food and the ambiance make this one of the best Indian restaurants in the Bay Area. The butter chicken is, of course, my favorite--so creamy and flavorful! The samosa was delicious too, although it was a bit spicy for my spice tolerance. If you're like me and can't handle too much heat, just let the server know--they're super accommodating and will make sure it's perfect for you. The staff here are wonderful, and the owner clearly puts so much love and care into every detail. On Diwali, they had the most beautiful peacock rangoli as part of the decorations. It's touches like this that make this place so special. Living nearby, I find myself here with friends all the time, celebrating holidays or just enjoying a great meal. And we cannot leave without ordering dessert! The pistachio rose tres leches is out of this world. I'm not even exaggerating--our table finished it in a minute flat (we have timestamped photos to prove it, haha). We wanted to order more because it was just that good! If you're looking for a combination of amazing food, stunning decor, and a warm, inviting atmosphere, Noor Indian Fusion is the place to be. Highly recommend!

Yelp
If you're seeking authentic and delectable Indian cuisine, look no further than Noor Indian Fusion Kitchen in West Berkeley. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with ample seating that caters to couples and families alike. My husband and I were thoroughly impressed by the array of traditional Indian options on the menu. We indulged in the butter chicken, spicy cauliflower wings, and the delectable Dhaba Chicken, all perfectly paired with fragrant basmati rice and the most spectacular garlic naan we've ever tasted. The naan was freshly made and prepared with great care, delivering an authentic and flavorful experience. Lastly, we had the mango lassi and it was very tasty! The customer service was exceptionally welcoming, and we didn't have to wait long for our meals to be served. As Seattle residents, we were pleasantly surprised to discover this hidden gem, which came highly recommended based on our location. I can confidently say that Noor Indian Fusion Kitchen is a must-visit destination for anyone craving authentic and flavorful Indian cuisine. We will definitely be returning in the future, as this culinary experience left a lasting impression on our palates.

Paul S.

Yelp
We've been to Noor at their Berkeley West location six times at this point. This is the BEST Indian food I've EVER had. The restaurant's decor is lovely and the staff are always so warm and kind. We've meet the owner and head chef on two occasions who spent time talking about new items on the menu and her love of food. The Butter Chicken is excellent. You also need to try their Methi (Fenugreek) Malai Chicken, Paneer Tikka Masala, and Spiced Roasted Pineapple. The Garlic and Butter Naan are both so so good! They also make delicious and beautiful Mango Lassi. We tell everyone we know that they need to go try Noor. This restaurant is a gift to Berkeley. Go and try it already!

Yelp
I hate writing one star reviews but this place deserves it. I am still scratching my head about two things. One, how this place still get's five star reviews, and two, the service we received when we came a couple of months ago. We came in on a Friday night, and was seated in the back corner. Okay fine, even though I asked for a bigger table because we were hungry and we knew we would order way more food. The host stated they were fully booked, which was understandable. In my past experience, if you get seated in the back corner, you are ignored... We placed our orders, got our drinks, and our food came out in a fairly decent time. I noticed my glass of lassi was smaller than my BF, but for the same price? I thought this was odd. This is when things started going downhill... I wanted to order a cup of tea and dessert to go. Not once did our server come back to check in on us if we needed anything. We literally waited for over 20 minutes. Finally she came back, I stated I wanted the two items, and placed the order again. We waited another 30ish minutes for my cup of tea, and at this point, the restaurant was packed. My BF and I both realized the one server was the waiter for over ten tables. Finally when she came back again with the bill, I told her to forget the tea/dessert, give us the bill so we can go. We addressed our complaint with them stating that no one ever came to check if we wanted to order additional items, how we were doing, etc... she offered to comp our bill and I said I will pay whatever price you think is fair, but that's not the point. She only offered 10/15 percent off which to me personally wasn't okay either. I could tell the waitress was overwhelmed with the crowd, and running around. I blame management for the poor planning, and overbooking every single table. As we were leaving, a line was formed out the door. I noticed on Yelp when you book this place, you can book a table every 15 minutes, that is not okay. Lastly, I noticed flies in the restaurant, and a man walking out of the kitchen serving food with no hair net on, and jeans on. Please look professional and follow health codes. The owner did reach out to me after our experience and wanted to chat, I was happy to do so, but never heard back. Place is overpriced (6 bucks for a small raita and naan). Please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere, plenty of places in Berkeley and the East Bay. I came home, and made my own tea. Even Vik's is better with food and service.

Yelp
This review is way overdue. I have to say that this is some of the BEST Indian Food in the Bay Area. I've been there at least 6 times in the 30-40 days. I was just there last night. The food is AWESOME and the service is stellar. I had the chance of meeting the owners and they're absolutely lovely people! The restaurant has a very charming and modern ambiance as well. Great to with friends, a celebration or a date. Just great vibe. Any other Indian restaurant I go to now will pale in comparison to Noor. Awesome food, awesome service!

Sanna A.

Yelp
We came here for dinner around 5 pm( Side note) it's when they reopen from lunch so food takes longer to come out. We had to wait an hour for food to come out. But anyways the place is super super cute and pretty decent size for gno or birthday dinner. Highly recommend making reservations though. Food was very good. Everything tasted as we thought. Minus taking forever to come out, I would definitely come back to this place again. Also- spice level wasn't that bad at all. I wouldn't ask for more if you can't handle spice.

Charlene T.

Yelp
Noor serves some of the best Indian food I've ever had. From start to finish, everything we ordered was fantastic. The butter chicken and lamb biryani were definite standouts, but honestly, every dish was incredible. The drinks were just as impressive. The service was top-notch as well; our server was so sweet and knowledgeable. Overall, 10/10 experience.

Gerald W.

Yelp
I ordered takeout from Noor a few days ago. I have no idea why I haven't tried them before, because it's exactly the type of Indian food that's been missing from the neighborhood since some of my favorite places closed just before and during the pandemic! The cheese naan was as cheesy as Patrick Mahomes, and the Butter Chicken had as much chicken as sauce. This was a nice change from other restaurants where you have to play Where's Waldo to find anything not sauce in the curry. Adding Noor to the grub rotation. Nom nom!

David W.

Yelp
Another lovely dinner at Noor. We were able to slip in on a Friday evening by sitting at the bar. Great, friendly service and delicious food in a pleasant setting.

Judy H.

Yelp
Quiet Sunday night dinner with a good friend. The vege bariyani was on point. And her saag paneer with cashew milk was yummy too. Too bad we had no room for dessert. Next time! The restaurant was cozy. I wanted a booth but the hostess said it was reserved for a larger group for later. And she was right. One thing that would help is if the menu would explain what the symbols stand for. But, I think we guessed right.

beth b.

Yelp
I ate there last night with a party of eight. We all loved the food, and our waitress was excellent. Some of us ordered several dishes and she kept everything straight. I had not been here before, but one woman had, and she said "this is the best Indian restaurant in Berkeley"!

Sneha

Yelp
My all-time favorite!!!!!! They've added some new dishes to the menu, and I was waiting to try them!!!! Started with their new momos--so juicy, and the dip was amazing! For the main, we went with the Mughlai Chicken Changezi, and honestly, it's better than what you get in India. To balance out the spices, we got the roasted pineapple curry which was caramelized to well and tastes so good with rice, especially when you dip it in the gravy. Can't wait to eat again

Jimmy M.

Yelp
Really very good food. Perfectly cooked and tender meat in delicious sauces. Great naan. Servers that are charming and beautifully dressed. Highly Recommend!!

sonia c.

Yelp
Noor is a beautiful spot to hang out with friends and family. We had a reservation and host was very welcoming. Staff is very friendly and checks with you if this is your first time at the place , so they can guide you if you are not familiar what to order and how to have pain puri so you can have the best experience. Food was delivered and presentation was 5star. He had pain puri , kale chat . Chai , mango lassi and Beer as appetizers . We order butter nan, garlic, naan, lacha pratha, Dhaba style chicken , shahi paneer. Desert was top of the world- kheer-crème brûlée and Tres leche pistachio . I feel like every penny was worth it. Highly recommend if you want to try great Indian good with great vibe. Awesome food , very clean beautiful place.

Sylvia K.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this place. All the spices added to the taste. The bread and cheese so smooth and perfectly blended with garlic. The rice was thin and fluffy....above is my teenage sons recommendation but I heartily agree. Server was so lovely.

P. E.

Yelp
Enjoyed a satisfying, delightful, and soul warming dinner at Noor. The Rogan Josh was surprisingly good. Extra bonus to have our lovely server, Oceanka(?), whom we had great conversation chatting about international relations, movies (specifically "Three Idiots"), books, and her travel to Kashmir.

Marvin M.

Yelp
The food was delicious. It's the 1st place that had achar , the tofu tikka masala was great, the medium spice was perfect for me, the butter chicken could have been spicier as we ordered the medium spice but I think they brought us the mild as there was no spiciness, the cauliflower wings were fire. The only downside was the slow service but it was a busy Friday night. I think with 1 more server during such a busy time it would have made it a 5 star.

Hoyan L.

Yelp
One of the most delicious Indian food in the area and we have been here twice already since opening. Newly opened on University ave, the restaurant is bright, spacious, and beautiful. They only recently opened so don't expect the service to be perfect yet, but the incredible food certainly makes up for it. For appetizers, we have gotten the samosas and pani puri, the ingredients are similar for both, but we really enjoyed the pani puri. Super cute presentation and fun to eat, and the chutney water is really delicious. Putting the whole thing in the mouth is a textural and tastebud awakening experience. Onto the entrees, this is where they really shine. We enjoyed immensely all of their curries. The butter chicken, matabar shrimp, lamb rogan josh, dhaba chicken, and the chicken/lamb biryani are all expertly flavored and prepared. I am unqualified to say if they are the best, but they all tasted like they were made with quality ingredients, the finest care, and attention to detail. Every curry tasted unique in their own way. My family especially loved the matabar shrimp and butter chicken. Super super flavorful, perfect with a side of garlic naan. Service is warm and prices are just a tad higher, but the taste and quality of the food, and the comfortable ambiance make them worth it.

Han L.

Yelp
The food was great! Really enjoyed the kale chaat, palak paneer, and keema matar masala. Staff was friendly and the restaurant was exceptionally clean. Also had a fluffy garlic naan and nicely paired reisling. Would definitely come back! Extra plus, staff was friendly and accommodating for our rambunctious kiddos!

Jay K.

Yelp
Back at it! Since my first bite at the to-go location, I rooted for the owner and told her that she needs a dine-in ASAP. Now that it's open, I am delighted. The best butter chicken dairy free that can be served in the world. All dairy free creamy curries that are so creamy without dairy is just phenomenal! Try tofu tikka masala if you want to eat paneer butter curry but can't have it! Now you can. Enjoyed my visit. Highly recommend. Even the table next to me told me that she came here with her family because she read good things about it on Nextdoor. Congratulations on the venture. I hope this continues and is kept up! Jai

Bertha M.

Yelp
Came to deliver my daughter to Berkeley as parents sometimes do and was looking for nighttime meal after a hectic day. Thankfully the owners of our hotel recommended this little gem . The service was on point . The staff incredibly friendly and amazing and the food.... Well let's just say that will for sure be the spot I come to when I visit . A little pricey but worth it!!!

Heyman O.

Yelp
*Ambiance: Absolutely beautiful, modern-looking restaurant, would not think it was an Indian restaurant if not for the delicious spice smell when you walk in. Would be great for a date night or client lunch, felt kinda underdressed in my post-work out clothes, ha! *Food: funny how some of the reviews say the food was too spicy, the waitress asked for a spice level, we said medium and I would say food was delicious, but it could have used more heat! That's on me though. Dishes of note were the keema matar which was well balanced, naan was warm, crisp, tender AND chewy (in a good way) as well as a really delicious mango lassi. Saw other tables with briyani that looked tasty. *Service: quick, attentive and kind Worth checking out, especially if you want tasty Indian in a modern Insta-ready setting.

Valerie A.

Yelp
We had a pleasant lunch at Noor. The restaurant is medium-sized with big windows and modern decor. Service was excellent, very attentive. We couldn't decide which chicken dish to have with our malabar shrimp and I asked if they had chicken tikka masala and they said no but that they could make it for us, which they did and we appreciated that. You can alter the spiciness in the dishes so make sure to order them the way you like. Everything was really delicious and my Rooibus tea was served in a cute little teapot. The tab was a little high I thought for lunch, with tax and tip it came to about $90 for the two of us.

Victor W.

Yelp
Perfect food and service! My party of four enjoyed one of the best Indian food dinners ever last night! Noor has a delightful ambiance, particularly so on Diwali when we visited. The warm greetings by the staff were followed by very attentive service throughout our meal which featured watermelon feta salad, samosas, tandori wings, lamb rogan josh, garlic naan, cilantro mint chutney, chicken biryani plus sweet something or others for dessert, We deliberately over-ordered knowing it would allow us to take-home very healthy sized leftovers. The food was perfectly prepared and presented by the very friendly staff. By the end of the meal we all felt as if we were being attended to by family members. And the food was FABULOUS! Not too spicy- you can ask them to adjust the "hotness level" to your liking- but chock full of delicious spices. YUMMY!!! AAA+++_

Kaia V.

Yelp
The butter chicken is made with those grilled chicken breast strips they sell at the grocery store, which made the dish totally inedible. The paratha was good though.

Toni K.

Yelp
Food is amazing. Friendly staff. Menu is limited but all the choices are good. The care put into their place is obvious. They care for their patrons well and are clearly trying to make an excellent restaurant. Highly recommend.

Bruce C.

Yelp
We've been to many Indian places the area. Recently, we were in London, and tried an Indian place there and were very pleased with the vivid flavor, that was miles better than the US places. Noor reminds us of that London place in the sense that the food here has very vibrant flavors, and I'll say it, it's the best place for Indian food in Berkeley, for sure. Friendly service, nice atmosphere, yummy mango lassi. BTW, they ask about what level of spiciness you want. We were in the mood for mild that day, and that equaled no hot-ness at all, so if you like a little spice, medium is probably good for you.

Yelp
I had ordered delivery from Noon a few times and really liked it (and my kids liked it - so rare!). I finally visited the restaurant and it was incredible! What a bright, open and airy space with gorgeous modern details. The service was wonderful and I love how family run and family friendly the place is! So incredible - highly recommend! The naan was warm and well flavored, the classics are, well, classic. Only note -the spicy cauliflower is SO SPICY. I can usually handle spice but this had me choking (in a good way!?)

Yelp
The food here is delicious, and the ambiance is great. However, the service was so poor during my second visit to this restaurant that I felt prompted to write a review in the hope that they change their ways. I ate at Noor with three friends last Saturday. We had a 6:00 PM reservation. Throughout the meal, the staff rushed us over and over--to order entrees when we'd just ordered appetizers, to remove plates when we were still eating off of them, to consider dessert while eating our entrees, to pay the bill as soon as we declined dessert. One server literally shoved a dessert menu in my face as we were eating our entrees. As soon as the staff delivered the check, they hovered over us to pay and said "we have a table of 8 coming in any minute." Meanwhile, the party had not yet arrived, we had been at the restaurant for less than two hours (i.e., we were not camping out), and we'd spent a lot of money on drinks, appetizers, and entrees. We probably would have ordered dessert and coffee/after dinner drinks if we weren't so put off by the service (and if we'd been allowed to stay). All four of us felt that the staff was very rude in that they did not allow us to relax and enjoy our meal, and they implied that they did not appreciate our business because they were more focused on another reservation (that the restaurant probably had booked earlier than they should have). I liked this place before this experience, so I hope they improve their service if I return. I'm not sure yet whether I will.

Yelp
Very ambient vibes, good music, good service, amazing food. I got the garlic naan, spicy potatoes, and more.

Yelp
What an exquisite place to dine. It's like stepping into a whole new environment. The aroma of fresh ingredients and excellent customer service will have you eager to relive the moment. The curry was perfect!!! The garlic naan ... so light and fluffy. And the fried paneer and lentil soup was just the perfect bite!!! It's nestled underneath a well kept apartment community. I couldn't help but to notice the trash area was clean while walking to my car.

Yelp
Loved the place, nice infusion of India Street food/Punjabi food. This is very beautiful nice, clean spot, staff is very friendly they have modern decor. We were able to find parking with no problem even though it was weekend. Really loved their Kale Chaat, I never had that any here. We also auto mango lassi, Shahi paneer, Lachaa Parantha , Kheer and Dabha Style chicken. Masala chai was OK it in for a taste fresh.Presentation of food is amazing and I love how to bring the bill in a beautiful small container. Overall it was great experience to see the modern style Indian food I highly recommend Noor if you are looking for great taste of northern food.

Yelp
So yummy. We got the sangria, mango lassi, butter chicken, and the shrimp. Really cute Valentine's Day decor set up. Great service! I'll be back

Yelp
This is a fantastic restaurant! The menu is creative, the food is delicious, and the servers are great. We just tried their new addition to the appetizer section-- a fusion of Mexican and Indian, and ordered the spicy cauliflower appetizer, which is always a hit, as well as the pani poori-- which is DELISH. We tried their new entree-- a roasted spiced pineapple dish, and all we can say is that we were stunned when we took the first bite. It was amazing! Nothing we could have ever anticipated. Our non-vegeterian friend asked for chicken tika masala (off menu) and says it is the best he's had in the Bay Area. For dessert, we shared the panacotta with mixed berries which was also a showstopper. You have to try this place!

Yelp
Excellent food and ambience. Service was good too. Entrees are a bit on the higher side but tasted delicious. We ordered Paneer lababdar, tandoori wings, malai chicken kabab, naans and rice. A must try!
