"With an American brasserie menu full of global plates spanning from korma pumpkin soup to falafel to a bowl of poke ramen, NoPa Kitchen + Bar was beginning to feel too unfocused for Ashok Bajaj. Citing Bajaj’s desire for a restaurant with 'more of an identity' in the Penn Quarter space, Washingtonian reports that Bajaj’s Knightsbridge Restaurant Group will close NoPa on Jan. 1 for renovations and re-open with a western Mediterranean menu under the name Olivia on Jan. 10. Longtime chef Matt Kuhn will continue to lead the kitchen, Washingtonian reports." - Gabe Hiatt

"Here’s an interesting spin on the sandwich: Nopa’s Singers Meat Trio Dip Sandwich has a mix of corned beef, roast beef, and turkey pastrami. Provolone and peppadew peppers add further accents, and it’s all served with a red wine mustard jus on the side ($16)." - Missy Frederick

Wonderful service and food! Antonella did a super job of serving our large business dinner in a private room. I had the Gazpacho, salmon, and sorbet... All of it was flavorful and served hot and timely. Highly recommend!

Fantastic restaurant and service. Our server, Matthew, was amazing. We had a wonderful anniversary dinner here, the cocktails were great, and I had the mussel pot which was divine. Would definitely come back here again loved it!

The restaurant is located across the street from the National Portrait Gallery, which closes at 7pm so it's a perfect place for dinner after a visit to the museum. The bread was good. I got the seafood pot with lobster, shrimp, mussels and duck sausage which was excellent. My husband's beef short ribs was cooked perfectly. The fried apricot pie was delicious.

We ate here in between lunch and dinner so were the only customers which was actually pretty exciting. Got to sit at the bar and chat with the barman. The food wasn't to die for, kind of needing something to jazz it up. I guess we should come back for dinner but the first experience was so nice and cozy I'd be afraid to ruin it. The desserts are quite fine, by the way.

The Curry Pumpkin Soup is the best soup I have ever had. Cautious not to sound overly dramatic, the complex flavors not only pings every known taste on the spectrum, but somehow discovered a way to comfort the inner child with every bite. Eat this. Seriously, it is good enough to make me want to write poetically to describe it.

This is a very quiet bar. Nice for intimate conversation. Service was excellent. Caution, the prawns are served with head on. Food was excellent.

Things started off great for us. Outstanding cocktails and appetizers! The entrees, however, were just good, and that was a little underwhelming for a place that has so much promise. We liked the upscale but relaxed atmosphere and large windows overlooking the street. And the service was first rate. For dessert, the ginger cake was good, but the sauces and peaches that went with it stole the show.

I went to dinner here for the first time with my Partner and his mother and father. The food was amazing, the service wonderful (Thanks Stephani!) and the decor was rich with a smell of new leather. I had the pork chop, which was succulent, and it was mixed with spiced pear and some kale. It was magnificent. Also worth noting was the fried strawberry pie. It will blow your mind! This is definitely a great place for a quiet dinner with friends and family. Good food, good ambiance, and great service. A definite recommend.
