Service was very good. Food was good, but felt oily and greasy. Our order took long time, and they apologized.and.offered discount. I would suggest this place, plenty of menu to choose from.

This is a late entry, but I had to make time to write this out. This day(2/16/26) was impeccable, especially for a Holiday (Presidents Day)! The hostess Brianna, was taking care of everyone, making sure all was running smooth for the servers! My Brother and I sat at the Diner Bar. I was incredibly grateful for our waitress Ana as she was on point, attending to all her customers like clockwork! I've been coming here for years and I haven't seen it this alive and thriving in awhile, to no fault of the workers, it just seems like they have been understaffed but they do the best they can with what they have, but not today, there was an Army of servers and cooks, its was beautiful! Which is where my next compliment comes in, to the Manager Mrs. Maria who is always working hard to keep everyone going, as she also has her hands on the plow, reinforcing the servers! Allowing for the restaurant to function like a well oiled machine! 🪖🇺🇸✝️ This was am amazing experience and it brought me back to the glory days of The American Diner Culture, where great food, amazing service, and wholesome fellowship was the cornerstone of a Family Spirit! Thank You for filling my body with a great meal, my heart with joy, and my uplifting my spirit with an AGAPE LOVE AMEN! God Bless 🕊️🙏💯

I have a Norms closer to my house and this is the one I like going to. Flavor. The food here has an incredibly rich flavor here. I mean the eggs are flavorful (scrambled, over medium), hash browns, even the ham and bacon are even more flavorful here. Like way more than the other Norms I have been to. That said, service is slower than the one a few blocks from my house and it isn't overly staffed so it's slower experience overall. Regardless, I cannot stress enough how good the food is here when compared to other norms I have eaten at. Whoever the cook(s) are at this particular branch, y'all need a fat wage increase and these people need to be inspected by headquarters to replicate their skills overall. Hats off to such skilled cooks. I never thought I would take the moment to say that but these cooks seriously surprised and impressed everyone I have attended this branch with.

The service was good and fast! Order takeout on Veterans Day and the wait wasn't that long. My order was taken right away and food was great! Recommend for a good breakfast! Also, thank you Norms for honoring Vets on Veterans Day!

Interior looks great, the center kitchen design and the tables surrounding it has a nice retro feel. Service was quick and respectful. Food was good too, I just wish portions were slightly larger. But the daily deals compensate for things like that. Nice service from our server Patricia!

Came in for brunch on Saturday with my son. Shout out to this young guy- Luis who was very welcoming and made us feel comfortable as soon as we arrived. Ordered the split pea soup 😋 so good! Warm, flavorful, and really hit the spot. Great service and a pleasant visit overall.

My cousin took me here while we were high. Everything tastes better when you're high but even this was pretty bad. I don't think I could have eaten it sober. At least it's cheap I guess. They gave him an overcooked steak and he told the server so they took it back and gave him the same steak a couple minutes later. Not sure what they did in that time, I think they cooked it more! He just took the L and ate it, as much as he could at least. I think Denny's is probably better but I haven't been to one in years. Overall, I can say it's edible and at least we did not get sick. I will not be back and would not recommend anything here even if it was free.

Despite reading all of the bad reviews, my husband and I decided to try this restaurant out for breakfast this morning. We were seated quickly and our order was taken, but it took a long time for our food to arrive. I ordered a biscuit with gravy, sausage, and scrambled eggs. The biscuit was good, and the salsa I asked for to put on my eggs was delicious. The sausage was greasy and not good. My husband ordered the corned beef hash with hash browns and over easy eggs and toast. His breakfast was horrible! He said everything was overcooked and way too crispy. I told him to send it back, but he was hungry and didn't want to wait forever for another order to arrive. We will definitely not eat at this restaurant ever again! If you are reading reviews like I did, listen to everyone and go somewhere else!

Staff is decent , the silverware was gross ... food stuck to it. Coffee was old and burnt; so it tasted unappealing. I ordered the Bacon Cheese burger, and wow it was Extremely disappointing. It came to the table the server needed me to open it be cause she couldn't tell there was zero bacon on my burger !! The burger itself was hugely Disappointing it was the size of McDonald's McDouble ; it was Extremely greasy, they stacked it with brown lettuce , stacks of onions, tomatoes and the errant pickle. The final piece to this depressing dining experience was literally as soon as my food hit the table; so did the check ... I guess they really want you to eat and go as fast as possible. Overall Norms's is not worth the money or the stomach ache. If negative stars were possible, then I would recommend Negative 10 stars!!!

Norms has been a place that my family would bring me as a child so I already have a good intuition about this place. Food is always amazing. I love the country fried steak with smashed topatoes. Staff is always friendly and the place is always clean. I always come back for more.

It has been several years since I last had been to a norms and I was pleasantly surprised. We were sat straight away and service was great. I got the chilaquiles were delicious and a little on the spicy side which is even better. I had a taste of the pancakes, fluffy and delicious. Interior was clean, bathrooms needed some deep cleaning however. Not bad for breakfast.

The food was great! But our server David was excellent! Very friendly and quick with a joke. He made our dinning experience even better. Definitely coming back!

Though the ribs were smaller than I thought, they were still filling and had a good flavor to them. This would be something I would definitely order for lunch in a heartbeat. It's just on the lean side for a full dinner. I've always liked Norm's though. It feels like how a diner should feel. The tables, booths, and lighting should feel old and worn-in. It should feel lived in without being falling apart, and that's what this location feels like. I would definitely keep this one on my mind when I need a late night place to grab a meal or, yes, when lunch hits and I need some ribs to satisfy my craving.

Came in to grab a quick dinner with my family , Adam, our server came and greeted us with such kindness. The food is always good . But Adam made our night memorable . I gave him the most easiest, complicated order and he had no attitude , let alone to just joke with us about it. Thank to so much Adam !!

My roommate picked up the order and my full dinner was not complete. My soup was missing but since my car was in the shop I didn't contact you

I used to love the pancakes and went often to enjoy them. The service has progressively gotten worse through and since Covina. I went for the last time this morning and walked out without eating 30 minutes later.

I had never been to norms but my husband loves it. So this morning we had a little extra time before work so we stopped in. It was busy but we sat at the bar so we didn't have a wait. The server for the bar was very sweet and attentive. Low key sitting at a bar in a diner has a small town feel, I enjoyed it. I ordered the el Benedicto and my husband got the lumberjack breakfast. It was delicious! Everything was hot and flavorful. All the food was really tasty it actually made me wanna come back and try more.

Have abandoned the order at the counter "Norm's Jr" format a little while back and I figured it fair for me to mention it here. I've been a couple times since then and the food is good as is the service. No complaints. Thank you very much for realizing that if we're going out for a meal at a restaurant that the service is part of the experience. It's very appreciated that you are back to providing what I believe most customers would want.

The place was not crowded at all when we went here at around 9 pm. There was one party of 5 people ahead of us. Our wait time was about 30 mins (not 15 mins as proposed). It took another 30 mins to get the food. Quality of the food was okey, but one order was not complete; even after asking waiter, it still wasn't given to us. Only 2 people working aside from cook.

Shut it down, food quality is really bad. Ordered breakfast everything is precooked except for the eggs and they were served cold. Restaurant was cold too even the servers who are on the move complained about how cold the restaurant was.

Very slow. We arrived early and it took around 15 minutes to get our table, and it took around over half hour to recieve the food. Not to mention, the place was half empty. The chorizo and egg burrito was okay, but the tortilla chips were stale and smelled really bad. Atmosphere was mostly clean. The food was okay, but we probably aren't coming back. Plenty other places to go.

My credit card that I gave has the funds, but I keep getting the message that it's not going thru. I even called my bank. They said error is due n your end!

I have never been to this case Covina location Norms, but I don't think I will be coming back. The service was great though, but the food wise it wasn't good. I have been to other locations and feels like this location is keeping things way too long and that it isn't fresh. Our steaks came out tasting a little weird and the strawberries on top of the pancakes were too slimy. I guess I should have known when you only see three cars in the parking lot, it isn't a good thing. Sad because I love Norms it just is going way downhill on this location.

Was greeted & sat us down by Beverly the manager. Patty was our waitress taken our orders so friendly & helpful informed about there Special Menu Deal given us that menu & we joke with her we are creating like a buffet. Ordered almost everything on the 7-$5.99 Menu Deal sooo AFFORDABLE:) Ordered Breakfast Trio: 2 Pancakes, 2 Bacon, 2 Eggs; Sausage Breakfast Burrito & Chicken Tender with fries. Prepared & cooked perfectly delicious. Beverly came out to assist Patty with coffee, drinks & water asked if everything ok. Excellent Teamwork! Place kept clean, organized & even have sanitizer available for customers. Restroom kept clean & tidy. Highly recommend especially while there 7-$5.99 Menu Special Deal. Will be back when around area.

Norms used to be pretty decent. My Husband loved their Friday Night Fish-All You Can Eat but they do not do that anymore. They also do not know how to cook a steak. They created leather and the second go gave me bloody roadkill. They tried to fix it and created leather again. It's not rocket science-it's meat. I realize they are not going to be Michelin starred but a simple quality meal is what folks expect and should be able to get.

This place never recovered from covid. Service, food, ambiance is all horrible. DO NOT GO HERE!

Ate here Tuesday, August 27, 2024 . Arrived about 9pm. Server was Ruben. Did a great job. Vast improvement over my previous experience. Seated quickly, started with a bowl of Chicken Gumbo. Was hot and tasty like it usually is. So far great. Ordered the 3/4 pound T Bone with 6 shrimp, baked potato and broccoli. Steak tender, tasty, cooked just right. Potato was hot, with extra butter. Perfect. Broccoli was a little soggy and not crunchy, could have been better. 6 shrimp were nice golden color and tasty. The cocktail sauce was good too. I was pleased with my meal and would return to order the same or similar items.

The place was clean and our waitress Carol super nice! The food was good. The restroom also clean. The prices are reasonable!

I have been coming to Norms since it opened and loved it. Food and service were good. The last time I was there I had to wait for half an hour to get open faced turkey sandwich and mashed potatoes. I was not the only one. Two ladies who were there before me were still waiting. Finally, received the food. It was cold and not flavorful at all. I complained to the manager and she gave me a discount. Based upon the comments it doesn't look like there have been any changes. It's only a matter of time before it closes down. Too Bad! Good Restaurants gone down the tubes. Bad management!!!

My mom and I have been here twice in the past week and Ruben has literally been the ONLY server here running the entire front of house, with the help of a busser. And I think just one cook. He is literally answering phones, pre-bussing tables, seating people, taking orders, running food, getting drinks, cashing people out, doing takeout and food delivery orders...... ALL BY HIMSELF! And he's doing a damn good job. But it's way too much for one person to manage. There's like 10 tables here right now! No server should ever have to handle more than 5-6 tables MAX. He's so patient and so kind, and I really hope his customers are tipping him fairly. Doubtful they realize he's the only one here. I feel like I should get up and help him! But Norms needs to have someone here with him. It's literally dinner time ffs. Fish and chips have been fantastic. Super yum.

Place an order online for pickup. It wasn't busy when I went inside to pick up my order but I still had to wait after my order was supposed to be ready. Ended up waiting 45 minutes for an order of a stack of pancakes. Ended up having to ask two different people to check on my order. Yelp Rating wise this location is on par with all other Norms locations but it is definitely wayyyyyy worse.

2nd visit to this restaurant and this experience was better than the first. Our waitress, Hayley was AMAZING!! GREAT people skills, very friendly and professional. The food was cooked to perfection and the bill was very affordable. Sunday morning breakfast consisted of chilaquiles, Tatar tots, veggie omelet with hash browns and every single item was AWESOME!! This was definitely a positive dining experience

I brought my parents to Norms for a late breakfast and I was highly disappointed. We waited 30-40 minutes for a table (understandable it was busy) and was finally seated in the back of the resturant. The server was good. The dissapointment came from the food. I ordered a burger and fries, the burger patty was burnt and the fries were cold. My dad and grandma ordered a breakfast mean and their pancakes were very cold almost felt like they defrosted them. My grandma also asked for extra crispy hashbrowns but the hasbrowns weren't crispy. The only order that was well prepared was my mom's country fried steak.

Do yourself a favor and Do Not go on a weekday. I came in on a Tuesday. Once I was seated about 10 minutes went by and no one had came by to take our order. My kid needed to use the potty so I got up to take her (took us less than 5 minutes) come out from taking her to use the potty to see that our table had been given to another group. I told one of the waitresses and she said "Oh we thought you left. Wait and I'll have the other table cleaned for you." I stood there with no where to sit so I walked out. Came to Dennys which was way busier than Norms. Was greeted politely and was seated within minutes. My order taken almost as soon as I was seated. Not going back to norms after today.

The assistant manager Favian is an excellent example of a great customer service. Good job buddy.

Decided to have breakfast at norms today, and was a very pleasant. My waitress Alondra was amazing!!!!! Very nice young lady and attentive, definition of great customer service.

I picked Norms for review as there are not too many all American family restaurants left. Cocos almost gone , House of Pancakes is still here, but there a special spot for Norms. First of all they have a rich menu something for everyone in your family. The prices for a sit down restaurants marvels the drive through restaurants. The food is excellent. Please trust me . Go do Norms try their breakfast it is a blast from the past. Awesome food great prices, and like I said not too many restaurants like this left today. Tell them Perry sent you!!

I live close to this NORMS and came on a weekday night. It was pretty empty and we were seated at the booths. The staff was so nice and inviting! The food was great as always and our server made sure my unlimited drink was refilled every time. I'll definitely be back here!

Three starts for the kitchen and food. We went here on Monday. The way we wanted the food was not brought up as it should. My husband's and nephews food were cold. Mine was warm not hot. I didn't want pancakes and I got pancakes and toast. If it was the kitchen not organized. Is not good at all. We waited for our food 38 mins. I am not exaggerating. Was our first time and never again to be honest. The service thou from Alondra was good a 5 star for her. Hope she didn't share the tips to the kitchen. The wait to be seated was 30 which we agree to wait. It was supposed to be 20 but ok. No point to take pics of cold food.

I really like this place, they have great food, the service is friendly, it's a neighborhood place. I am giving them 4 stars because the wait can be a bit long, therefore, that's a place to improve. The pancakes with the warm strawberries on top with whipped cream were amazing, breakfast there is pretty consistently great!

How the mighty have fallen this use to be a great express norms don't know if they changed management or what but now they can't get Uber eats order right? Missing items cold food if you guys don't want to do better quit find a job you like but don't drag the norms brand down with you ! Never eating here again

I used to frequent this place a lot until service has gone downhill. Form one place where the server throws a hissy fit because you didn't give a tip on a takeout, to this nonsense here at this restaurant where there isn't a host? Don't get me wrong, I used to be a waiter long time ago. So I know to be patient when they're short handed. Terrible place to spend your money. I waited 20 minutes to be seated. No host to seat you. I had a coupon of $10 dollars. So I decided to use it. The lady in the front counter scanned my coupon, she said that the system doesn't take my coupon because I chose a daily $5.99 special? Nowhere it says that I can't use the coupon for the daily special. I ended up paying cash. The lady said that they're out of pork ribs, okay I I'll order something else. I tried to use the coupon, it didn't work. On top of that, my coupon for $10 dollars was gone. Bad business practices. What a ripoff! If you're reading this, Mike (CEO of Norms), look into this or your customers will go somewhere like Denny's or other eateries.

I been going to Norms for ages never has bad customers service. This placed sucks, just while we walked in we knew it will be bad. 1. Severs gave us a look like we owe them favor when we walk in, we a bad poker face the she has bad card already. 2. waited for 20 minutes no acknowledgment just bad look. After that we just walked out, Management or owner need to trained this employees

I haven't visited this establishment since Covid and I was really hoping that it would have been an improvement since the Covid era of order first and wait for your food. Unfortunately it hasn't gotten any better. I miss the pre Covid days of Norms. When the food was decent and the service was Amazing! Now the food is decent and the service is subpar at best. Due to the ridicules $20 minimum wage, Norms has been forced to hire less servers and this has been noticed. The wait for food is twice as long and the servers are overwhelmed. I will continue to come to Norms hoping that the company will put service over profits and make the Norm's experience as good if not better than it was in the 80's.

The only reason am leaving a star is because I have to. They deserve no stars. Their service sucks. The people that work there need to take a customer service class especially the manager Beverly. They don't write down your name to seat you, they don't wait on you, don't acknowledge you, they're very rude. Never coming back here again.

This place use to be so great !!! Every time I come in which is often it gets worst and worst... it's unfortunate that it's all stemming down from management. The staff is still friendly doing the best they can do with very little help. Today there was no host so I called twice no answer. We ordered the usual the salmon with the soup and ceasar salad both you can tell have cut corners with using cheaper parnasian cheese and the gumbo was not the same. The salmon unfortunately was way over cooked sadly my little one tried to pick at it and had to leave the jerky salmon behind. Please Norms now is not the time to cut staff or corners it's a local community restaurant with all the abilities to thrive great location great space !! Hopefully when I return things can look up !

Norms as a Restaurant is awesome. I've been to multiple Norms. I feel this one is outdated and if you go for breakfast , by the time you get your food it will be lunch time. Unfortunately it's under staffed The waitresses and servers are doing their job but the wait for food is probably the worst experience I've had.

Do Not come here if you're hungry because they will make you wait. Service is horrible. We were sat down and left to wait 20 mins without even having our drink order taken. Two tables who were sat down after us, got their drink order taken and delivered and had their food orders taken before us.

The food was okay, to say the least. My friend and I felt catfished by the menu a bit. The service wasn't great. Our waitress was rude when approaching us and when we asked questions about the food. She never once checked in on us to see if we needed anything after waiting three tables. Some food items that came with our orders were missing. Condiments were minimal. Definitely not eating here again.

Was told about this place by an instructor who is a big Norms guy. Got breakfast as did my son and grandson. Coffee was great and server kept it flowing. Steak and eggs was good. Would come here again.

I want to star off by saying that we did wait to get seated for a minute but could not expect more due to us being in a group of 13 people but I have to give it to Vanessa our waitress she was such a sweet heart she was very paciente and was very attentive to when we need it something and very fast .Thank you for such a pleasant visit if I ever go back to this norms do to me not leavening around the area I would really love for her to be out waitress again.
