North Beach Cantina Is The Newest Mexican Restaurant From a Big Bay Area ‘Taco Syndicate’ | Eater SF

"On Stockton Street I discovered a beachy new outpost that aims to be a true neighborhood hangout: North Beach Cantina (1548 Stockton Street) is open for happy hour and dinner from 4–10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday with plans to expand to seven days and later-night hours. The menu aims for wide appeal—tacos, burritos, flautas, salads, burgers, and chili cheese nachos—with every item priced under $20 while highlighting quality ingredients like Snake River Farms American wagyu beef, Kurobuta pork, antibiotic-free chicken, and wild-caught gulf shrimp; the team is planning promotions like Taco Tuesday with discounted drinks. The operation is led by managing partner Chris Cheeseman alongside industry pros Doug Marschke, Luis Cupul, and Gabe Erhartic, who collectively run several sibling Bay Area spots (Underdogs Too, Underdogs Tres, Underdogs Cantina, Tacko, and San Benito House). Because the space previously housed Tacolicious’ catering hub and had a large prep kitchen and a 2013 remodel, the partners were able to move in with only cosmetic updates—reclaimed wood paneling, upgraded lighting, and hand-painted murals and signage—and they’re continuing community meal deliveries to people experiencing homelessness out of the new kitchen." - Lauren Saria

During my first trip to San Francisco and ordered the Mission Style Chicken Bowl. The food was fresh & flavorful—definitely hit the spot after a day of exploring the city! It’s more of a bar-style setup, and like a lot of similar places, there’s kind of an unspoken expectation that you’ll grab a drink with your food. That said, the vibe here was friendly and relaxed, and the staff didn’t pressure me or make me feel out of place. The space itself is clean, welcoming, and has a local charm that made the whole experience enjoyable. Would definitely come back next time I’m in town—especially to try more from the menu (and maybe a cocktail too).

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hands-down the best food and experience in North Beach! My husband Jon (yep, the one-legged guy 😉) and I stopped by North Beach Cantina and WOW—this place blew us away. Jon went full feast-mode with three tacos and a burrito bowl, and I ordered the pozole. Every single bite was next-level delicious. The pozole? Comfort in a bowl—rich, hearty broth layered with flavor, tender meat, and all the right toppings. Jon wouldn’t stop raving about the tacos (and trust me, that man can eat), and the burrito bowl was so loaded and perfectly seasoned he barely came up for air. What makes it even better are the owners. Paul and Ozzy are the kind of people who treat you like family the moment you walk in, and the entire Mexican crew in the back? Absolute masters. These chefs can throw down—you can taste the love and skill in every dish. North Beach Cantina isn’t just a place to eat, it’s the kind of spot you’ll tell all your friends about and plan your next trip back before you even leave. If you haven’t been, do yourself a favor: go. Now.

Everything about this place is a 10 out of 10! There is a full bar, indoor and outdoor seating and beautiful lighting! The service and staff was amazing and quick! Each bite was flavorful and fresh making me crave for more! Had such a wonderful experience from the beginning to the end! I highly recommend this place snd can’t wait to go back!

We loved the place. The Chips & Salsa are Fire!!! We bought some Salsa to go, it was that good. Chips were really nice as well. Food wise, we got the Queso, and it was good. I'd skip it next time though. The Quesabirria tacos were very good, consomme was excellent. They were generous with the meet as well. Beer menu is solid.

We visited North Beach Cantina (1548 Stockton St, San Francisco) for the first time on a warm, sunny afternoon, and it turned out to be exactly the casual, satisfying meal we had been hoping for. We secured a table in their parklet, which felt charming and was perfect for people-watching, soaking up the sunshine, and immersing ourselves in the lively energy of North Beach. We began our meal with chips and guacamole. The guacamole was fresh and nicely seasoned, while the chips were crisped to perfection. The salsa that accompanied them truly stole the spotlight: it was tangy, a little spicy, and very addictive. I regret not asking for its name, but it’s definitely something I’ll be coming back for. The horchata was a wonderful complement—creamy, with just the right amount of cinnamon, refreshing in the midst of all the savory flavors. For our main courses, we shared the California Burrito and Street-Style Tacos. The burrito was just what you want when craving comfort: a generous portion filled with good carne asada, crispy fries, Pico de Gallo, and sour cream, hearty and satisfying. However, the tacos were the highlight. We ordered three, each filled with tender, well-marinated meat and topped simply with onions, cilantro, and lime. The simplicity allowed the quality of the ingredients to shine—no distractions, just pure flavor. Some notable points that I think others will appreciate: the service was warm and not rushed, making it easy to settle in; the décor was polished yet relaxed, featuring wood tones, clean lines, and some fun murals, creating a welcoming atmosphere whether you’re with friends or dining solo. The menu also offered a nice variety—so even if you don’t want a big burrito, there are lighter options available. Additionally, the pricing seems reasonable considering the portion sizes, especially given the location. A bit of background: North Beach Cantina opened in 2022, taking over the former Tacolicious space. The team behind it has restaurant experience throughout the Bay Area (including Underdogs Too, Underdogs Tres, and others). Overall, North Beach Cantina is casual and unpretentious, demonstrating genuine care in both the food and atmosphere. We left feeling satisfied and full, and I’m already thinking about what I’ll try next time. If you’re in the area and craving good Mexican food in a relaxed setting, this is definitely one spot worth visiting. visiting.

Google
This review is just for their happy hour, but their happy hour deals are honestly great. A plate of nachos for $7 and their chips and Guac sampler also for $7. Their chips are actually homemade and super fire. Guac was great. Nachos could use some more cheese but overall really solid. Great spot to hang out and talk and vibe.

💚 Excellent customer service. The gentleman running the bar area that took my order was super friendly all the way! 💚 Tasty fish tacos with flavor bomb sauces! 💚 Good music playing and good vibes.

My friend brought me here for happy hour. I had 2 margaritas and quesabirria tacos. They are the best! Try the mango margarita it’s very tasty. The music is good, great atmosphere and friendly staff :)

I regret not finding out its name, but it's definitely one of those things I'll be coming back for. The horchata was a nice counterpoint, creamy with just the right amount of cinnamon, clean on the palate, refreshing amidst all the savory. For mains, we shared the California Burrito and their Street-Style Tacos. The burrito was all you'd want when you're craving comfort: generous portion, good carne asada, crispy fries inside, Pico de Gallo, and sour cream, hearty and hitting all the right notes. Yelp
It's my first time coming here and never really think to look for Mexican food in North Beach area. I looked at the menu beforehand and I initially was going to get the breakfast burrito. I last min changed my mind because I saw someone else's pic of the mission style burrito with carne asada. It looked delish! I wish I had gone with my gut and stuck with the bfast burrito. Chips and salsa - The chips and salsa were actually pretty good! I'm picky with chips and salsa at Mexican restaurants and this reminds me of our favorite ones out in Sonoma. Tater Tots: co worker ordered this to share with the group. Pretty good, BUT why were they not hot? Seems like they weren't made fresh and were probably sitting there for awhile. At least refry it quickly and then serve? Mission Style Burrito: I got it with no sour cream. Let me tell you, this burrito was dry. There was supposed to be guacamole in it. Could be at the bottom? I wouldn't know cause I cut off a small portion and I'm glad I did. Pico de gallo was minimal. Also, the big kicker....the menu says it comes with flour tortilla. It was not flour! It was wheat and I HATE wheat tortilla and wheat bread. So I know how it tastes like. This made the burrito even more unenjoyable. If you look at the pics for the breakfast burrito, that is flour. This, is wheat. Why use wheat if I didn't ask for it? Or at least give me the option to choose? I wish I got the fish tacos like my other co worker instead. Those looked promising. At least I got full eating the chips and some of the tots. My review is mostly for the burrito. The gentleman that took our order at the bar was super nice and helpful.

Yelp
Popped in for some margs and cronuts. Margs are always a hit and for $12, still one of the best deals in the city. Opted for a strawberry marg which is made with real and fresh strawberry puree. Great flavor with a touch of natural flavor sweetness from the fresh fruit. Okay the churro cronuts hands down are a top bite of 2025. So fluffy, airy, and light yet packed with so much cinnamon flavor. Comes with a caramel dipping sauce that is the perfect compliment. Energetic and friendly staff. Order from the bar when you walk in or grab a seat and order digitally via QR code. Casual vibes and perfect for hanging with friends.

Yelp
This place was actually super solid. Great service and the food was very good. We ordered the chips, salsa and guac; chips were seasoned well, salsa was so fresh and the guac was delicious. My California burrito was amazing. I think this place is better than El Farolito overall (however, the super quesadilla from El Farolito is still the best Mexican food item I have had in SF). Anyways, try this place! Service is splendid and food is great.

Yelp
I saw North Beach Cantina's stall at the North Beach Coffee & Pastry Festival so I decided to try their iced coffee with horchata. I thought it was okay, the coffee was fairly bitter and acidic so it is strong. I would say it was better toward the end since that was when I could finally taste the horchata more, though.

Yelp
This restaurant has the best salad in all of San Francisco in my opinion. My partner and I order it a couple of times a month! The Southwest salad with chicken. It's a great spot on Taco Tuesday and they have a fantastic happy hour featuring $7 margaritas. In this economy? Sign me up! Their restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating in a covered little cute parklet. I can't say enough good things about North Beach Cantina!
google avatar

Ran T.

Yelp
Solid lunch spot. It's a bar that has good food. We got a burrito bowl with chicken. Colorful presentation, fresh ingredients, a good mixture of veggies, protein and carb. You order from the bartender and they bring out your food. Fast service. Family friendly.

Yelp
Highly recommend the brunch and taco tuesdays! Taco Tuesday's is a a great deal! The happy hour prices can't be beat! If you're going to brunch, the dulce de leche is decadent. My husband has more of a sweet tooth and constantly craves this dish, and I love it despite being more into savory tastes. For my order, I'm a big fan of tator tots so I go with the breakfast tacos with a massive side of tots. For lunch and dinner fare - The beef flautas are delicious and come with a side salad. I'm a fan of getting the burrito bowls when it's not taco Tuesday.

Yelp
After a late night, I arrived at our office to see North Beach Cantina was catering our breakfast, I might as well have seen angels trumpeting as I entered, when the smells and the sights hit me, I immediately knew I was going to feel 10x better after I ate. I grabbed a hearty steak burrito and extra meat to get some protein #gains It was absolutely heaven sent. The chips, the salsa, it was everything I needed to revive me from my brain fog. Throughout the day I snuck to the breakroom to snack on more chips. Everything was 5/5 for us! Thank you NBC for bringing in the secret ingredient to a great work day.

Yelp
Vibrant, flavorful, fresh and Spicy Mexican food in San Francisco doesn't have to be expensive. I walked into North Beach Cantina and was immediately greeted by Daniel. He invited me to have a seat at the gleeming bar and I could order from there. It was a sunny day, I had been walking around North Beach and I knew I wanted a horchata. Daniel heafted a pitcher of very freshly made horchata and poured me a tall glass over ice; I so needed that! I got a side of rice and black beans (vegan) and a side of Impossible Chorizo. The cantina doesn't make their own Impossible Chorizo, but has it made to their specifications with their proprietary spice mix. My taco kit came with two dishes of fresh salsa: green salsa with tomatillo, and the red salsa, oh my god, the red salsa! It was made from fire roasted tomatoes, it's creamy and yet, it is vegan, omg so good! Taco kit and horchata for $15.95 and worth twice the price! I'll be coming back here a lot!

Yelp
When you walk in to this cantina which feels super so cal, you are greeted by the friendly bartender where you also place your order. After your order is placed you take a number and sit down. Your drinks and food are delivered. I will tell you this place was fantastic. The service and food quality was on point. Amazing Carne Asada, Chicken, and Carnitas. Crazy that it is in the middle of Little Italy next to Tony's Pizza. Who would have thought some of the best Mexican food in SF would be here. I highly recommend for great drinks and food especially if you are short on time .

Yelp
Date: Tuesday, December 17th, 2024 Time: around 7:30pm Meal: Dinner *STREET STYLE TACOS ($8): Carne Asada, Chicken, Carnitas *TECATE ($3) *SF Employer Mandates: 4% ($0.44) My group of 4 was nearby drinking and we got hungry. Decided to stop by North Beach Cantina. It happened to be Taco Tuesday, so I did their beer and taco special. For the tacos, I'm glad they let you pick and choose each taco. If not, I probably would have ordered something else. Three of the same meat would have been too much. They were all a good size. And the meat seasoned well. I adored drenching them in salsa. I just wished they had a super spicy one. Ordering was easy. You go to the counter, order, pay, get your number, and find a table. It wasn't packed at all, so we found a four top in the corner by the front. They bring the food to you based on number, but since we all ordered separately, there was some confusion. Easily remedied tho. Great spot for Taco Tuesday. REVIEW #3647

Yelp
Food was great! I appreciate that you are able to choose different meats for the set of 3 tacos. I recommend the carne asada - meat was tender and nicely seasoned. The cronut churros were delicious - crispy and fluffy, pairs well with the caramel sauce on the side.

Yelp
I've had many a catered breakfast burrito over the years, but I have to say North Beach Cantina delivered in ways I was not expecting. I cannot tell you how often I get a breakfast burrito and am disappointed, either there isn't enough meat, the salsa has no flavor, or the tortillas are all wrong. We had North Beach Cantina cater breakfast for our office and honestly it was all insanely good. The salsa even was top notch. I'd not hesitate to return here and if I am ever around their brick and mortar I'd for sure give them a try. An A+ breakfast in my book for sure.

Yelp
I'm a breakfast girl. My morning meal is my favorite of the day . North Beach Cantina catered a stunning breakfast spread during a work conference. I was blown away by their quality, healthy, and colorful food set-up. The staff that delivered the breakfast were organized and conscientious. I marveled at how they carefully displayed everything. North Beach Cantina's breakfast meat/and non-meat options looked incredible and they were well portioned. It was a perfect breakfast for those with dietary preferences. Attendees could easily customize their own bowls - complete with an array of homemade sauces/salsas. In addition to their DIY set-up, they also had tasty ready-to-go burritos. The real stand-out though was their fruit bowls. Works of art! The berries in the colorful bowls were robust and perfectly ripe and they even had dragon fruit in there! I have yet to see a more gorgeous catered fruit option. Truly something else. Full disclosure - I ate with my eyes - since I had already eaten beforehand. That being said - literally everyone that I talked to that did partake in this impressive breakfast spread - was gushing over the food. If you ever need to have a memorable catered breakfast/lunch/dinner option for an event - North Beach Cantina is your spot. Trust.

Yelp
I freaking loved the breakfast we had catered here during a work conference. Maybe I was super hungry because I had been up since 5 am, or maybe it was from all the full days stacked together, but most likely it's because the food here is so damn good! They had several breakfast burrito options, clearly labeled and cut in half so you could mix and match. I just went with one with bacon, eggs, and whatever else was loaded in. I also piled up guac and some five-star hot sauces that I thought about stashing away into my suitcase, they were that good. There was also a ton of great fresh fruit paired with this; berries, bananas, all the good stuff and none of the filler (looking at you, honeydew..) Hope to have this again next year, it's a favorite!
google avatar

Rachel K.

Yelp
We had North Beach Cantina catered in for a work conference for breakfast. It was a perfect way to start the day. There was a variety of breakfast burrito options for different dietary needs and preferences. They were a good size and packed with flavor. I had a half a burrito and every bite was delicious. I especially liked that my option had a generous amount of avocado and I got a bit of it in every bite. I'd definitely recommend this for corporate events or parties, it was such a fun, easy and tasty way to start off the day.

Yelp
On Day 2 of my work conference, we were greeted by a hefty selection of breakfast eats from this restaurant in the kitchen of our headquarters. There were fixings for breakfast tacos, burritos, chips and dips... it was all so wonderful. One of the burritos was impossible chorizo, and I couldn't help but give it a try! Yeah, it was everything I hoped for... and the salsa selections were great too. There was one that was particularly spicy, which is fine with me, but for a conference that I'll be at all day... I don't wanna risk having to go to the bathroom at an inopportune time. Anyways, the catered experience was a 10, and I would love to check out the brick-and-mortar when I'm in San Francisco in the future. Good stuff!!

Yelp
One thing about this place. Amazing. My gf and I came into this restaurant by chance; the other place we were planning to go to was packed, but it's all worth it. When we came inside, we were greeted by the bar tender and informed us about their famous Birria Tacos! We took a menu and went to our seats. After looking over the menu, we decided on food and drinks. We started off with the chips, salsa and pico. And I must say, it was very delicious! The salsas were not as spicy, yet were very flavorful. The pico had a good amount of salt and pepper, and the chips were made on the spot, warm and crunchy! As for food, we ordered the burrito's. My girlfriend ordered the mission style burrito with carne asada, and I ordered the California burrito with Carnitas. Both meats were tender and delicious, while the burrito was STACKED, and was seasoned to perfection! The salsa's gave the burrito's that extra flavor (I just wished I ordered the habanero salsa, which I heard was amazing!) The margaritas were off the roof! We ordered th Mango Margarita and the Mezcal Piña Margarita, an both were flavorful! Service was amazing! The gentleman at the bar was friendly, answered questions for us as first timers, and we had been blessed with such great company! The atmosphere of the restaurant was goo! Music was excellent, and the staff were on top of their a game! Although we came early, I was told that the place gets packed at night! Overall, great experience! I can not wait to return! I will definitely be recommending this place to others!

Yelp
Had a last minute dinner here with a group of 11 on a Wednesday night. Very casual environment, which I liked. We ordered at the bar and they gave us a number and brought out the food. We started with a few appetizers such as as the elote, chips and guac, and queso and chips. The chips and guac were pretty good, whereas the elote was a disappointment. For my main meal, I ordered the baja fish tacos which I enjoyed! The breading was good and the fish was tender. I also got tres leches cake and churros to go, both of which were pretty good. Overall, a decent restaurant if you want Mexican but for some reason can't go to the Mission.

Yelp
Everything about this place is a 10 out of 10! There is a full bar, indoor and outdoor seating and beautiful lighting! The service and staff was amazing and quick! Yelp
Hands down one of my favorite breakfasts I've ever had. We had North Beach Cantina cater a breakfast at our office and it was insane. I enjoyed a steak breakfast burrito and each bite was as delicious as the other. The sauces and salsas provided made it even better- everything was so fresh and delicious! It kept me full until lunch. I'll be thinking about it for awhile lol.
google avatar

Jordan T.

Yelp
Wow--just wow. I've never had a Pozole or tacos this good in SF. My partner and I were very impressed with the food quality served here. Their baja fish tacos were huge and filling. The fish was battered well and soft and flaky on the inside. Each portion comes with two tacos. If you didn't want to share, both would be enough for a good meal. Their wagyu quesabirria tacos were solid. The meat was soft and juicy, and the side broth was very flavorful. It was very similar to the Pozole. Their Pozole was the standout. It had a very rich umami flavor and was loaded with meat. I could easily slurp bowls of that down. It hit the spot on a cold and rainy day. We will definitely be a future customer at this spot. 5/5.

Yelp
The bomb ! Simple as that. Enjoy it everytime I come here. Great food, staff and vibe !! Try the Flautas and the Salads for something a little different.

Yelp
Was able to try North Beach Cantina during a work conference where they were the catered breakfast. I got the bacon burrito. Good size for being a handheld, but densely packed so you felt full after eating. Bacon was really crispy and I loved all the accompanied sauces to try! I appreciated them being cut in half because a half was enough to fuel me for the day without getting sluggish.
google avatar

Jake A.

Yelp
Street tacos (chicken) were pretty dry. Was just chicken, cilantro, and onion. Tortilla and chicken were dry. I had to squeeze every single drop out of the tiny little 1/4 lime wedge they gave me for 3 tacos. The redeeming quality that allowed 4 stars were the churro donut things with caramels sauce. OH MY GOD (I literally said that when I ate one) - they were so so good.
google avatar

Stephanie A.

Yelp
This spot was recommended to me while on a walking food tour. It was on my mind so on my next visit in I stopped by. No regrets! The have a great taco Tuesday deal on 3 tacos. We did come in early so basically we had the place to ourselves. The food was fresh and delicious. Full of flavor and came out pretty fast. You order at the entrance and then take a number and the server brings your food to you. I would definitely come back and recommend.

Yelp
I enjoyed a catered lunch from North Beach Cantina on a work trip and was so impressed. I am gluten free and vegetarian and was so excited by all of the amazing things I could eat! I ended up making myself a lovely plate of eggs, vegan chorizo, potatoes, and all the toppings. Plus their chips were great! All the toppings and the seasoning was just to my liking- things were flavorful but also played together nicely. My coworkers seemed to love the burritos too, as I saw multiple people going back for seconds. It was the ultimate comfort food and great for a hangover, but didn't leave me feeling weighed-down at all, which was awesome. You can tell they use fresh ingredients and that things are made to order. For having a heavy meal, I felt great and energized after.
google avatar

Yelp
Every time I see the Mission Style Burrito on the menu at a restaurant or food truck the restaurant isn't located in the Mission. This time I went and saw it on the menu at the North Beach Cantina. I had to try it just because I was curious. I will say the Mission Style Burrito here was good. It had good cuts of meat for a burrito. It had good flavor. This burrito was not trying to be pretentious like at some Mission Style Burrito on the menu places. Plus an added bonus is they have a Cantina most taquerias don't have. North Beach has a lot of new Mexican restaurants popping up like El Farolito. I guess all roads lead to Mission street when it comes to the burrito style.
google avatar

Grace S.

Yelp
Amazing $7 happy hour deals and really tasty food & drinks! I've tried their carne asada fries, street tacos and the churro cronuts. The churro cronuts with caramel sauce are a must, only $1 each at happy hour and soooo good- super fresh hot crispy flaky cinnamon sugar perfection. Service is super friendly! Lots of seating inside and out, I like their tall booths inside. Great natural light even though it looks dim from the outside. Happy hour is 3-6 Monday-Friday. The food and happy hour drinks are all $7, really fresh and generous portions too!
google avatar

Marc Lee R.

Yelp
Meat wasn't bad but a little dry for my burrito. $8.95 for mediocre chips and salsa was something they should give out and hope you order before you order food. Since it's order at the bar and get a number it's not a restaurant . It's a chipotle without watching what they make for you. Overall I won't be back. Truly a disappointment in a neighborhood that prides itself in food and alcohol. My only hope is their rent is cheap and that they can last longer than another 2 years that I give them. Don't let the bar fool you. It's not a bar. It's the service counter. I almost miss tacolicous now.

Yelp
I'm from San Diego, which is known for its Fish Tacos. This restaurant has - by far - the best Grilled Salmon Tacos I've ever had. They were incredibly juicy and there was just the right amount of sauce. Service was prompt and friendly. We will definitely be going back.

Yelp
Good Mexican food. I ordered mission bowl and single piece tacos. It was delicious This place great ambience, good vibes, good music and great service. Just a perfect place for the weekend.

Yelp
Great service and such a cute sporty yet grunge aesthetic. I ordered the Chicken Mission Burrito (no sour cream, light rice) and it was flavorful and delicious. The burrito was a good size and filling. I paid around $18 for the burrito which is on the higher end but I assume the location also plays a part. Overall, think this place is worth checking out to grab a bite whether by yourself, with a date or even with some friends!

Yelp
BREAKFAST BURRITO WITH BACON: $13.50 I am personally on the search for the best breakfast burrito and this was delish. They offer a meat added for $2 extra. Chicken, bacon, beef, and vegan chorizo. The ingredients were disproportionately dispersed throughout. So the first few bites had a ton of bacon but no avocado, then later it was a lot of egg but no bacon. It does come with a red and green salsa that were both yummy. The tater tots were VERY YUMMY and stuff crunch by the time eaten, instead of soggy like some other places. I liked it, it was good. I wish there was regular chorizo. Overall service was nice and food came out quick.

Yelp
We ordered breakfast burritos for pick up and were unimpressed and disappointed to say the least. Our burritos came out to $15 each since it was +4 for chicken and +2 for bacon. They were incredibly tiny, for the price I expected a little more. Remember when I said it was +4 for chicken? Well, there was 0 chicken to be found in the burrito. Mine which had the bacon also was very skimp. Though, mine had a lot of fresh avocado. The burritos themselves tasted fin.

Yelp
Food was fair for the price very nice and clean set up of the restaurant the ordering system it's not convenient at all. You have to look at the menu, then go up to the bar and order versus having a waiter and taking your order.

Yelp
Very tasty, we love both the green and red salsas, and great happy hour! The staff are friendly and accommodating! We're coming again!

Yelp
Daniel was our bartender and he was fantastic!!! Recommended just the right drinks and was so chill and cool. Even put on a special playlist for us, as we were in town for Dead & Company's 60th Anniversary Celebration. Had a great time here!

Yelp
Some of men who work here have an attitude and want to rebut simple questions from customers. Just do your job. I promise it's not hard.

Yelp
I've been here several times, but I just used their catering service for the first time, which was stellar. Their portions were generous, and everyone at our party raved about how good the food was.

Yelp
Hated every single thing about this place. The ordering process is awful. You have to scan a code and scroll through menu after menu after menu to find a way to somehow place an order. It took us 20 minutes to order the food. I went to the bar to get a beer because who knows how to order it on the scan thing. The bartender couldn't work the draft beer tap, so the glass kept getting soaked with beer, which he served, un-wiped and dripping with beer, to me. I had to say, I need napkins to dry off this glass. He looked at me like I was a moron. I was not a moron. Who wants a dripping glass of beer with the top 50% of the beer glass nothing but foam. Shame on him and this restaurant. Utterly ridiculous. Food was mediocre. I've been wanting to try this place for a long time. I would never ever return. And I strongly encourage others to run run run. A million thumbs way down.

Yelp
I love this spot! I've grabbed food here several times over the past couple months and I'm always happy with my order. My go-to is the Mission Burrito Bowl with carne asada. When I'm in the mood for something sweet, I make sure to get their tres leches, which is phenomenal.

Yelp
Shrimp tacos and elote were amazing. Best shrimp tacos I have had in a long time. They were stuffed with finely shredded cabbage and a delicious light sauce.

Yelp
The breakfast burrito is very good and comes at a great price!! The basic was a little over $12 after tax. The person who took my order was very nice and explained that they take your order and the bar and then it's open seating. Went around noon on a sunny Saturday and there was lots of space. Would definitely recommend!

Yelp
The place had a cool vibe. The margaritas had a heavy pour which was great. Service was fast but you have to order at the bar which was a little confusing. They have a water station but Jo ice! Why no ice? I'm from Texas and realize this isn't Tex-Mex but it wasn't really Mexican either. The food looked good but the flavors were just ok. I got the beef flautas which were tasty. It comes with a salad but the dressing the used was way too overpowering. We got the Norris tacos. Thru were fine but the meat and condiments didn't have much flavor. Not sure about the red salsa. We did like the green and the guacamole was great.

Yelp
Everytime I am in the North Beach area, I have to come to North Beach Cantina. Service: You will order food at the bar then receive a number, find a table and the food will be brought to your table. The staff are all so kind and I have only had pleasant experiences! Drinks: $10 margaritas with homemade mixes? ABSOLUTE STEAL! I've tried all of their flavors at this point and none of them have let me down. Food: my boyfriend really likes the burrito and every time we stop by even if it's for drinks, he buys one for the road. I'll always get my elote (-: They also offer brunch menu with more variety of mimosas and brunch food items. I am not normally a French toast kind of person but their dulce de leche French toast was my favorite item. If you haven't tried it yet, you need to check it out!
