"Cardoz debuted the pie in 2012 at North End Grill, the now-closed modern American restaurant he ran with Danny Meyer. The simplicity of the dish belied its subtleties. The bread exhibited a wafer-like crispness. The clams were assertively saline. The chiles lent a soft kick. And on at least one visit, Cardoz substituted the typical parsley with cilantro, an uncommon addition that channeled South Asia or South America more than Italy or the U.S. The grassy perfume softened the oceanic aromas." - Ryan Sutton

"Eric Korsh, the executive chef from spring 2014 until the end of 2017, was reported for inappropriate behavior and misconduct. Despite multiple complaints and interventions by the HR department, his behavior did not change until summer 2017. Korsh eventually left the restaurant at the end of 2017. The restaurant is owned by Union Square Hospitality Group, which is known for its 'enlightened hospitality' philosophy." - Serena Dai

We had the steak frites with duck fat fries and potato aligot. The food came out quickly. The steak okay but everything else was very good. Best fries I have ever had and the potatoes were incredible. For dessert, we had the honey brioche with olive oil ice cream. I've never had anything quite like it. Amazing! We both thought the wait staff left something to be desired. They seemed rather up tight and not genuine. Still a good experience but might not go back considering the many options in New York.

Grear place to have a couple drinks and some appetizers. Excellent service, great classic drinks, $1 oysters all day. I recommend the chicken liver toast and duck fat fries. This is a non tipping restaurant

Miles is one of the best bartenders in NYC. Go and tell him what you're in the mood for, he'll make you something fantastic.

Very dependable food and service. Recently transitioned to a no tip policy (though menu prices went up) but quality of service is still quite high. It's a great place for brunch as prices are pretty reasonable though it feels quite fancy. Have ordered over a dozen things off the menu over the years (menu changes slowly) and not found anything disappointing, though portion sizes and satiety vary from dish to dish, so ask your server for their thoughts if you're hungry. Oh, and the side of bacon at brunch is very thick and quite generous. Almost Wolfgang's quality. Definitely get the bacon!

What a pity that this restaurant will close at the end of the year! The bar staff were very friendly and helpful. The oysters were so fresh and delicious. (And cheap! $1 oysters!). The food that we had (duck fat fries and dutch baby) were also delicious. Overall, a great experience.

Went for weekend brunch. Modern, clean, and chic layout. The place felt very open, bright, and relaxing. Seating is very spacious and comfortable. Kudos to the pastry chef! While the food here is great, it was the pastry basket and desserts that stole the show. The pastry basket can be easily shared amongst a party of three or four. Also, check out their many bloody marys (I really enjoyed the Bloody Bull). It's bloody good!

Brought a large number of guests from Japan for a casual business dinner. It was just right. The wine list deserves a special callout, as does Jeffrey, who did an outstanding job of helping us select an enjoyable, yet reasonably priced, selection of wines for the evening. The interior and atmosphere are "business casual" but entirely enjoyable for couples and those wanting to spend a nice evening out with friends. The food was very good, although the 40 oz. Porterhouse was a bit on the dry side and definitely more than two people can eat. Three out of four of the desserts we ordered were sold out, but they were kind enough to bring other desserts to the table at no charge.
