Yes, You Can Borrow Cake Pans at the Library | Eater

"One of the longest‑running public cake pan collections, begun in the late 1980s after a retired baker donated her extensive assortment and grown almost entirely through donations to more than 250 individual pans. The collection is a regional draw — patrons travel from other communities — and during a 2013 renovation the library added a dedicated alcove with custom shelving, engraved numbers for each pan that fit into metal slips, and a wall catalogue to make browsing straightforward, reflecting the library’s commitment to equitable access to tools and learning." - Emma Grillo

What a fantastic Library and public service experience! They have so much to offer for the residents on North Liberty. It is the most amazing library that I have ever seen. Just look at the photos and you will see for yourself and want to check them out. My wife and I will be displaying our artwork there for the month of May and we are hoping you come check it out!

Love this place. Employees are nice, decent selection of books. Sometimes a bit loud (for someone on the autism spectrum) with people talking on their phones.

Great library. Lots of activities for kids of all ages throughout the week.

I pretty much grew up at this library. For a smaller library, there’s a wide selection of books to choose from. My only complain with the North Liberty library is the unattended children running around. I understand that they probably do not have a caregiver to watch them, and I understand how hard that is. However, they run around the library, make loud noises, and overall disturb the patrons at the library. I would also give a warning to parents taking their children to the playground, be careful. I’ve witnessed many kids fall off of it and get hurt. I even fell off of the gymnastics rings at the playground and ended up going to the emergency room to get my chin stitched.

Great place to read a book, use a laptop or have a workout... This last Saturday we visited the place again after a long pandemic hiato. Timing was good and were told about the new policy, schedule a visit or show up, just to reduce the flow of patrons and potential virus transmission. We stayed there for 30m and noticed the reduce number of visitors, elimination of sofas and other restrictions. But staff was nice and explained current procedures. Thanks for providing this vital service to the community!

10 out of 10! I definitely recommend to go here! It's worth the gas and time! Great for little ones to older ones!

I called about a computer usage a day earlier & when I got there I was rudely told that no one by my name called or made an appointment & that I must’ve called the wrong place, when a day earlier I spoke to a women on the phone who “supposedly” made my appointment for me to come in. The lady did let me in after explaining like 5 times however I was only allowed 20 minutes. The people who work here are liars & unprofessional.

Yelp
You want books, they got books. That really is the number one requirement for a library. However, the North liberty community library has a very friendly staff, a nice selection of computers to work on, and they also participate in a program which allows you to electronically borrow e-books and audiobooks. While it isn't the biggest, the most historic, or the most beautiful on the inside, it has everything you need in the library with small-town charm.

Yelp
Library staff is very nice and helpful. There is a lot of CD and DVD selections for patrons to borrow. Internet stations are available to use and a study room as well. They always have different activities available to patrons. Examples include: Teen night, Storytime, movies, video game night, etc. It's always fun there. Make sure you say hello to Flat Stanley!

Yelp
Great if you have kids. NOT if you want to study, unless study rooms return. This is a community gathering place. Little kiddies running around with parents, knitting clubs etc. all use this space. The quiet study rooms are under renovation (April 2013), so this is really not a good place to study, especially at after hours. I really like the convenience, especially since few other places have free WiFi. But without a good pair of sound isolating earbuds (my own pair cannot arrive fast enough through mail!), this library is not good for studying even with free WiFi.

Yelp
I love my library. The staff does a good job of rotating themes with various displays of art in the hallway along with selections of books for check out. We enjoy the weekly scheduled kid activities. Family movie night is fun too.
