North Park Beer Co. Expands With Pizza and More New Openings | Eater San Diego

"Located in Crown Point, the third North Park Beer Co. Pizza Shop occupies a 2,300-square-foot space with an outdoor patio and opens daily at 11 a.m. I found it serves New York-style, thin-crust pies in two sizes with house specialties like the Bianco—topped with bechamel, cheese, garlic confit, and herbs—and the spicy Mr. Hop Fu! Pie layered with three cheeses, pepperoni, pickled jalapeños, Calabrian chilies, and hot honey. The kitchen also offers beer-brined chicken wings and tenders and other bites meant to pair with its 24 taps of beer." - Candice Woo

Google
Best beer in PB by a mile. Food is way above typical brewery fare - it’s worth going out of your way. So happy they expanded and brought great beer and food to the neighborhood.

Kalina C.

Google
We love coming here for pizza and a few beers after our bike ride around PB and Mission Beach. The vegan pizza is AMAZING with lots of melted cheese! The crust is perfect too. They also have other vegan toppings like chorizo and peperoni. The staff is super friendly and the ambiance is fun.

This brewery has an inviting, laid-back atmosphere with a perfect mix of industrial-chic design and cozy neighborhood vibes. Their beer lineup is always top-notch, but the Neighborhood Lager is a true standout—crisp, smooth, and perfectly refreshing, whether you’re kicking back after work or pairing it with a great meal. Speaking of food, their pizza is the perfect complement to their beers. With a beautifully crisp crust, fresh ingredients, and just the right balance of flavors, it’s the kind of pizza that keeps you coming back for more. Whether you’re a craft beer enthusiast or just looking for a great spot to relax with friends, North Park Beer Company delivers on all fronts—amazing brews, fantastic food, and an unbeatable local vibe.

Google
The team member was super welcoming. We brought our two dogs with us and enjoyed the patio. Parking on the street was easy. The pizza and beer were excellent! Clean spot. Overall a great experience.

Google
We wanted to try their pizza 🍕. We frequent their North Park location and the food there is excellent, shout out to the Mastiff kitchen. If your looking for a thin crispy pizza then you'll love this location. They sell a select few pizza by the slice options & these slices are bigger than the plate they give you. They also sell whole pizzas with more options we are looking forward to trying one next.

Taylor C.

Google
They were a little light on their own beers but the ones they had were excellent! The pizza was so good and service and atmosphere were stellar. Glad they expanded to this area!

Google
Incredible! Best pizza in PB by far. their burrata pizza reminded me of my favorite pizza place in long island. their pepperoni is a must as well!!

Tiana L.

Yelp
Pizza & beer was 10/10 my bf got the xray double IPA which was magnificent as well as the Mr Hop-Fu . I ordered the veggie Pie & Save vs fire pilsner. Highly recommend both pizzas and brewskis if you are trying to have a unforgettable dining experience. Would without a doubt come here again! Next time i'll bring my dog :)

Yelp
Finally took the plunge because now you can order online from wherever. 1.Service: perfect! Food was ready, server was friendly and informative. Made informed recommendations on beer selection, and he was spot on! 2. Beer: really good! 3. Pizza, etc.: we enjoy thin crust, crispy pizza so another Yay! Our order was Caprese/burrata, Hot Hawaiian, and White with garlic. All three were so tasty. Only one diner got a slice where the Calabrian chili oil had pooled a little, making for a couple of extra spicy bites. Their sauce is so obviously homemade; the crust is flavorful. We also ordered beet salad and appetizer meatballs (these are light and spectacular) with marinara. Great! 4. While we didn't dine in, there was a lively crowd for Tuesday Trivia, just enough life to be fun, not overwhelming.

Yelp
A great spot located on Ingraham Street. Plenty of open space so you can enjoy your meal either inside or outside under some shade. They have some great lunch specials, plenty of appetizers and of course, pizza. Service was great and food came out pretty quickly. The pizza seemed a little thicker than a NY style. No flop and a lot of crisp to the underside and crust. I wasn't a fan of the cherry tomatoes used which is the only part I wasn't a huge fan of. Overall the pizza is good and the beer was refreshing.

Yelp
Nice little spot with very tasty thin crust pizzas And a large selection of beer on tap Friendly service

Yelp
After a long walk with my better half and our dog, we decided to stop in here for some refreshments. We lucked out and found parking not too far away. Cute corner shop. Outdoor seating. Dog friendly. Count us in! North Part Beer is known for good brews so there's no need to review that....beer was on point, as usual. They serve food here and a lot of people around us were ordering pizza. The patio is spacious, sun and shaded spots and the servers brought over a bowl of water for our pup. It wasn't too busy on a late Saturday afternoon, but I'm sure the place is hoppin' on a Saturday evening. Family friendly with one pinball machine (maybe two?). Really nice addition to the neighborhood. Cheers!

Yelp
Always a good time here. The pizza is delicious. Hop-fu is my personal fave. Great beer selection and they have ridiculously good ranch.

Jennifer L.

Yelp
You have to try the new Burrata salad!!! 10/10 perfect for before a beach day or a start to any meal!!! And of course my favorite is the lunch menu Chicken Caesar Sando- perfect blend of pizza, tenders and salad! This place delivers on food and service! The best addition to PB/crown Point - go check them out

Yelp
Very good pizza and lunch options. Looked like they had a good list of beers. No bottles or spring water. Seating is atrocious, there's a ton of nerds taking up space with their lameO laptops. Its almost as annoying as people that bring dogs to bars/restaurants. The pizza sauce is yummy goodness!! If I ever pass on Rocky's (rarity), I will only stop by for take out.
google avatar

Yelp
So so good, had the burrata and spicy meatball pizza. The people working were so attentive and at the end of the night talked about their love of pizza, you know they love their job and have a knowledge of what is good. We went later at night like 8 ish,, and it was open with TVs on. Picture is of the two pizzas almost finished!
google avatar

Yelp
Prices are decent, service is friendly, and the food is yummy. It's always a treat to come here and there's plenty of seating inside or on the patio. And there's a different speciality pizza featured every week. Definitely recommend coming here!

Yelp
The Pizza slices were Epic. I had the prep on pep on pep with burratta and warm honey drizzle....Insaaaaaane!! I died and came back to life, loved every bite Ate the entire slice by myself....forgot to share!! Also had a salad and a beer! Love a great slice of pizza with a good beer

Yelp
I'm a regular at the North Park location, but this was my first time checking out this spot--and it didn't disappoint. The space is open and inviting, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. There are a couple of arcade games, a TV for watching sports, and the outdoor area is well-equipped with tarps and heaters for both sunny and chilly days. The food menu is solid. We tried the Burrata pizza with pepperoni, and it was delicious. It comes as a 12-inch with six slices, but you can upgrade to an 18-inch if you're extra hungry. They also offer lunch specials--grab a slice for $5-6 and pair it with a 10 oz beer for $3 or a 16 oz for $6. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. As for the beer--no need to say much. It's hands down some of the best craft beer in San Diego. All in all, a beautiful spot with great food and good vibes.

Yelp
There are some obvious critiques for this location, but NPBC deserves nothing less of 5-stars! The newest NPBC location took over a mediocre, over-priced brunch spot and thank the heavens, because that place was whack. The "Pizza Shop", its formal but informal name, or vice-versa, is anything but. Leave it up to the man Kelsey to brain drain the pizza knowledge from BLAH because the head of operations for all things pizzas now rests with former BLAH manager. The beer is obviously stellar, but the Burrata Pizza, the 12 inch, is grand and perfectly shared between 2 people at 3 slices each. Pie prices are what they are in this economy and ingredients are nothing but the best. It is busier during the evening rushes, but Saturdays upon opening are easy going. The spot is dog friendly, but the crowds could easily prevent you from having an enjoyable time with them on the busier evenings. You cannot order ahead, so waiting around for your pizza if you do not have a seat might get awkward, but it is honestly whatever and we have posted up comfortably in a standing spot out of everyone's way with no problem each and every time. They have recently introduced a weekday lunch special with sandwiches and the like. Parking is all street and I have had no issues finding a spot. Easy pickings even on Ingraham multiple times and guaranteed on Yosemite. It sure is a welcomed addition to the Crowne Point area!

Yelp
They have huge slices and a pour of beer on tap for a great deal! Pizza and service was wonderful. Fun patio to sit on too

GG P.

Yelp
Friendly. Beer right away, thanks for the taster. Food took a bit and so worth it. THANK YOU for your meat haters pizza. It's a vegan pizza with yummy not-pepperoni and sausage. What a nice thing to do. If you don't eat meat and miss the spicy salty of a meat pizza, worth a try.

Yelp
This corner of the Crown Point neighborhood in PB has become a carousel of businesses over the past few years. North Park Beer Company is the latest to debut in the space with a pizza shop component. There was no on-site parking available so you have to search for nearby curbside spots which was not easy. The place was packed when I visited during the first week of operation. A line nearly stretched out the front door while all of the seating for approximately 60 diners was occupied. A board behind the service counter listed about two dozen beverages that included beer, canned wines, cider, kombucha, and fountain drinks. Thin crust pizzas were sold in 12" and 18" sizes with ten types offered. The rest of the food choices were shareable appetizers, dough/crust knots, salads, and desserts. Orders were taking about 40 minutes to be ready because of the volume of customers. I selected the Mimi's Meatballs and a 12" Pep on Pep on Pep! The cashier gave me a numbered buzzer and then it was waiting time. The problem was there was no good spot inside to wait. No lobby area existed nor were there any extra chairs available. I wandered toward a back corner where two pinball machines were located. I didn't want to stay long so as not to interfere with anyone who wanted to play. My food was ready around 45 minutes after I had paid. Four wagyu beef and pork meatballs with a cup of marinara were placed in a takeout container. Some parmesan was sliced and sprinkled on top. The meatballs were average in size and tasted fine. The pie was cut into six slices and had about five to six pieces of cupped pepperoni on each one. It seemed pricey at $20 for a 12" pizza.

Yelp
Wonderful service! Fun ambiance to have a bit and drink while hanging out with friends. I love the encore. All the pizzas are made to order so keep in mind if you're in a rush, but they are definitely worth the wait! All the beers I tried were great. I'm excited to come back again.

Leah H.

Yelp
Ordered on line for pick up. They forgot my salad but luckily I noticed it was missing before I drove off. They didn't include the ordered ranch for our 2 orders of wings - that was highly missed when eating the food. The pizza was ok. Very light on the toppings. Beet salad just had a sprinkle of beets. Overall I would not choose to go back to this place for take out.
google avatar

John M.

Yelp
Great selection of beers and good pizza. Staff was super friendly. Place is modern and clean. Plenty of seating.
google avatar

Gabriella P.

Yelp
Please try the chicken tendies!!' They are amazingly crusted and juicy inside & have a homemade ranch. Delicious pizza and the lavender lemonade seltzer was also delish. Service was okay, the servers seemed rather despondent. The outside patio was clean and had functional heaters which was lovely. Parking is scarce tho- wear walking shoes!
google avatar

Dale K.

Yelp
Food was ok beer is great $15 for a salad was kinda insane, I guess this is the new normal

Yelp
I went here for the first time last week and I will definitely be back. I have heard such good things about their food and had to check it out. As much as I wanted to try the pizza sadly they don't do slices and I did not want a whole pizza for myself. So I do wish they did slices. But what I did get was the Smashburger and oh my gosh it was amazing. I've been trying a lot of the different Smash Burgers around town and this one is in my top too. It's $15 and it also comes with French fries. I believe they are beer bride french fries with that batter on them if I'm not mistaken. On the menu though it does not say it comes with fries and I feel that should be listed as I almost did not even get it as it said it was $15 just for the smashburger. But with fries that's totally a great price. My friend got the parmesan chicken sandwich I believe. I know it was some kind of chicken sandwich thing and he absolutely loved his as well. I just walked over since it's by my place of work but they do not have their own parking lot it is just street parking so no that going there. I walk around the area all the time and street parking is not difficult to find though. You might have to walk a block. They have indoor and outdoor seating and it is dog and kid friendly. The woman who worked the counter was nice so the service to me was very good. It's the type of place where you pay at the counter and then you get a buzzer for when your food is ready.

Yelp
We have been to other NPB locations many times and this was the first time at the Crown Point location. Always love NPB and this was no different. I would say the friendly guy behind the bar was the most helpful. He was willing to take the time to talk about the beer on the board and was very kind. He made the experience today when we were looking for a little quiet time and good beer. We didn't get pizza today but will come back. We got the fries just to soak up some of the alcohol and they were very good. Well cooked and well seasoned. I don't usually get pilsner, but had to get the Greg German pils. It was excellent and could see knocking those down on a summer beach day. Our usual are the hazy offerings. The Higher Calling IPA was excellent for a non-double or triple ipa. I am partial to the doubles, but this was excellent. We will be back

Yelp
In town from wisconsin, found this down the road from where we are staying. Pizza was thin and crisp. Beer was great. The server went out of his way to make sure we had a great visit. Highly recommend. The hot honey, pepperoni, and peps pizza was amazing.
google avatar

Yelp
I've already reviewed this place once. I just love it so much. The staff is epic...especially Michael. That dude knows what's up! BEST IPAS

Yelp
We wanted to have something not messy and easy to eat at the beach. This place was on our way to the beach; had a high score too! When I was waiting in the car, my partner walked in to make a take-out order. They estimated 15 mins for the wait time. Very reasonable for cooking pizza by the order. He got the server's suggestion of a pizza that does not have tomato sauce. He believes it was Bianco; made with lots of cheese, white sauce, and yummy. It also had garlic, which wasn't that strong. Even better! The dough cooked perfectly fine with a crispy edge. The topping was on point. He got 8 pieces one. It's a quite big pizza. I literally forced myself to finish it before a bird grabs it. I was so full for the rest of the night lol Highly recommend it :)

Dexter P.

Yelp
Lovely pizza, it's just it took longer than usual. They had some nice drinks there too. It was a nice place to talk

Marcus P.

Yelp
One of my favorite pizzas i've had in san diego! Had the X Ray double IPA as well which perfectly complemented the hot honey pizza. Dont sleep on this place

Yelp
I second the first review. Each time I think, "there's no way Kelsey can top his last move" he does, and he will. Great addition into the empire that is North Park Beer Company. Attended grand opening and here are the takeaways - the pizza was phenomenal, craft pizza, fresh dough great topping selection for build your own but the menu pizzas are perfect themselves. - tried the Mr. Hop Fu Pie and the Pep on Pep on Pep both phenomenal 10/10 - the fried mozzarella is one giant loaf of melty fried Fresh mozzarella in a bed of marinara 10/10 - the beer speaks for itself, award winning, always fresh, great selection for any craft brew drinker or connoisseur *they offer pitchers at this location for select brews!* - the atmosphere is cool, for locals or just visiting, perfect location parking isn't too difficult either - service was great, as always, familiar faces from the flagship location, delivering top-notch service on opening day, even with all th All in all, this location is just as iconic as the other two, can't wait to go back and try all the other food
google avatar

Brenda S.

Yelp
Best pizza in PB! Love the hop fu pie with spicy hot honey and peppers!! So good! Also their classic cheese pizza is always a hit!
google avatar

Lino V.

Yelp
Wow the carnitas pizza was horrible. No carnitas on it , no green sauce on it. Very few toppings on it. They skimp on toppings at this place. The meat was horrible not carnitas just pork. The place sucks for pizza. My friends go there for a beer since they live next to it. Don't get food at this place. Service slow . Bathrooms dirty They need blinds for u to watch sports there or lcd tvs
google avatar

Anselmo D.

Yelp
Kelsey saw the review and made the situation right. I appreciate the response I received from her and the management at NPBC.
google avatar

Victor F.

Yelp
Best brewery in So Cal! Great beer and atmosphere. Plenty of seating and arcade up stairs.
google avatar

Christopher B.

Yelp
Amazing New York style closest thing to the real deal. I had a small cheese cuz that's how I test all my pizza. Had him cook it a little well done absolutely perfect sauce delicious cheese perfect undercarriage perfect dough and the way that it chews perfect it's a 10 for me.
google avatar

Mark B.

Yelp
Great spot to enjoy a beer and 8 inch personal pizza. Vast selection of beers and really good pizza. Their thin pizza isn't too thin. A huge plus. Just greasy enough. Well done. Only downfall is they wouldn't fill my growler. Mgnt/owners. This needs to change. Hayden was pleasant. Friendly. Nice respectful employee Highly recommend
google avatar

Katie A.

Yelp
The pizza is soooooo GOOD. omg. I'm picky about pizza and this place knocked my socks off. It's perfect... enough said. The Mexican lager was great as well. Awesome spot to vibe with excellent food.
google avatar

Sara F.

Yelp
Fun new location. Good thin crust pizza. Get a beer while you wait. Dogs are allowed on the patio

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Got the most amazing pizza from North Park Pizza Shop today. Met the chef, who calls himself "Pizza God"--and honestly, he lives up to the name!
google avatar

D R.

Yelp
Best beer, best pizza (I typically don't even like pizza). Can't go wrong!! Please patronize this restaurant as we love having their beers in our neighborhood!!

Thurber M.

Yelp
Great beer, great pizza and awesome employees providing both. Have gone here nearly every week for over a month and never had a bad time or a bad beer. Great place for chill vibes.
google avatar

Natalie C.

Yelp
The fried mozzarella is so good and pesto ricotta pizza - fun family spot and nice employees

Xzavair Z.

Yelp
Mid pizza, decent staff, if you don't have $25 to spend on a medium pizza (feeds 1-2) don't come here. Also parking is non existent. They don't do phone or online orders so the whole "wait in line, to wait for your pizza" is in full effect.
google avatar

Grant M.

Yelp
Insanely good pizza and a great beee list. They have Russian river on there sometimes

Tyler H.

Yelp
Pizza is bomb. Food is bomb. Cool place. Cool merch. lunch special with a beer and Monday night football 50 cent wings.
google avatar

Gaaron V.

Yelp
Really cute place, with plenty of outdoor seating. Nice size pizzas, and similar beer selection like the OG location. Friendly, knowledgeable staff as well.
google avatar

Valerie N.

Yelp
Visited this location and the vibes and aesthetics's are amazing. Food was super good and my son got the parkzookie and was in love. We also got the cheese cake and it was delicious. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable on the drinks. Will definitely come back and will recommend.
google avatar

Britt M.

Yelp
Love their new spot...North Park Beer does not miss! Perfect stop on the way home from a beach day or run at the bay. The market salad and pizza we tried were both delicious. It's busy for a reason!

Jason F.

Yelp
Went here for the beer which by the way was fantastic! Was surprised by the great food! The pizza was probably the best I've ever had and the market salad was one of the kind. Great atmosphere and vibe wish I had this spot where my family and I live. Sooooo soooo good

George C.

Yelp
Kelsey has done it again. Fantastic pizza for all palates. I forgot to take pics of the pizza since we ate too quickly but he has done an amazing job on the thin crust and excellent selection of toppings. World class beers has been a given with the continued WBC and GABF awards. Great spot to bring friends and neighbors!
