North Park Thursday Market is pretty good. Im a bit partial since it's my neighborhood market but it has everything you need, not everything you want. You're guaranteed to find the best fruits and vegetables from the best farms in San Diego. There are also all kinds of great artisan vendors selling arts, crafts, specialty foods, small bites, coffee and smoothies. The kettle corn guy blasts the street something fierce with the smell of fresh popcorn. It's pretty darn good too. My only complaint is the food selection. Many vendors come to north park and don't last however the vegan vendors do. I miss my BBQ guy. But if the best and freshest produce is what you're after, you'll find the best at the North Park Thursday Market.

Google
Very friendly atmosphere. There was a sort of limited selection of fresh fruits and vegetables when I went, and one fresh flower stand. The majority of the market is comprised of a variety of prepared foods and drinks (ex: Korean BBQ, artisan grilled cheese, Poke, Indian, Mediterranean...stuff like that). There was also two places to get fresh eggs and one of those places also sold fresh meat. In addition to that there were a few booths with non-food items like candles, lotion, jewelry, clothing. Plus, there were two places with live music. It's not nearly as big as the Little Italy Farmer's Market, but it is nice.

Google
This is a great and fun Farmers Market in the heart of North Park. Today I discovered Russell at the Residents of the Universe. You HAVE to go and see Russell, he makes all of his products and I promise you they unique and wonderful. He is also located at Liberty Station in Sea Hive Station. Check out Residents of the Universe and the North Park Farmers Market on Thursday from 3-7pm on North Park Way between Ray and 29th!

Very nice market where you can find delicious foods, drinks and fresh produce groceries. You can also shop for some local artists’ crafts and artworks, like myself. I make San Diego local art products, such as North Park prints, Tote bags, Coffee mugs and blankets… Welcome to check out my booth~~ ❤️

Google
I really like this market , since I debuted in 2018, youth farm works by the IRC .I remember I had a lot of fun selling our crops from the garden to the community and everyone was friendly to us and the other booths have free samples and Items. I know this is inexpensive market but it's a part of our growth to the business industry. I really miss the people and my team. I hope I can be back here in the future again.

Google
Very nice Farmers Market. Parking is scarce but if you can walk there it's got lots of produce and good food.

Google
This is my favorite farmers market of the Sam Diego ones. I love that no two vendors are the same. Everyone is unique.

Happen to be in North Park when this market was on. Loved it. Not big but everyone was friendly and gave out samples. The vegan cookies were so good, I didn’t know they were vegan. Also loved the stand selling banana brittle.

Yelp
This tiny 2-block farmers market grew on me through the years, and I've been in North Park since 2017 of August, It's very local friendly and not packed at all. I love how the vendors have become regulars and like how they engage with the community. Especially the shoes repair vendor, they were able to modify my shoes to make thing easier to use.

Yelp
UPDATE Like my first review... SAME-O, SAME-O. But this tiny 2-block farmers market grew on me through the years. It's very local friendly and not packed at all. I love how the vendors have become regulars and like how they engage with the community. Ex: Halloween, each vendor were passing out candy to kids so kids and families were coming to the market in costumes. I don't have kids but my dog is my fur-child. We were also dressed up and there were SO many other dogs and their owners (kid less and with kids) in costume roaming the market. And I like coming here to grab a bite to eat. There are vendors that are overlooked by other competing vendors at the bigger farmers markets or they are starting out and start at the smaller ones.

Yelp
A satisfying variety of vendors inhabit this small yet high quality farmer's market. There were lots of families and other folks about when the market opened, but it never felt crowded and the vibe was peaceful. Five stars for the good balance of international dishes + fresh produce, the late PM Thurs hours, and the scallop sushi from Vegan Mirai. The Vegan Mirai sushi chef made us a standout vegan scallop roll with light, pillowy rice topped with a freshly torched veg and spicy/creamy sauce that tasted outstanding. Definitely no need for soy sauce or any other accompaniment, this roll is perfect on its own. My favorite bite of the Market! Another hit was the guava empanada from Parana. What makes it special is the delicately crunchy crust as well as the fresh tasting yellow guava interior--a very welcome upgrade from the usual overly artificial tasting pink guava paste plus overly thick shell that you find too often at other places serving empanadas. My companion raved about Chilanga's pambazo. This chile-infused bread filled with meat, lettuce, cheese and lots of other goodies is cooked to order on the griddle while you wait and yields a savory, fulfilling flavor like the ones he'd been missing from el DF. Still yummy but less memorable were the French treats from Bon Jour bakery. The portions are ample and it's fun to watch the creme brulee being freshly torched. However the almond croissant was not as flakey and flavorful as others I've had, and the mini dessert trio did not leave a lingering impression. All in all, a very nice local option that I look forward to enjoying again!

Yelp
Love this farmers market! I definitely visit it the most because it's in such a convenient location in the heart of north park. Good mix of vendors between the ones you see at all farmers markets and more unique ones to north park. A good selection, although I feel it's one of the smaller farmers markets in San Diego. Last time I was there I tried Vegan Mirai, a donation-based vegan sushi spot. The two people working were extremely nice and were patient as we asked questions about each roll. Tried the avocado and spicy salmon and both were tasty, the spicy scallop I think much more flavorful! Definitely a great value and I will be back to try more of their rolls!

Yelp
It's expanded since my last visit. And it's so wonderful. Getting extra special shout out to some new folks. 1. Sushi vegan - try the scallop like roll. It's amazing. He said it's the favorite and I can understand why. Chang is a master at this these are no ordinary rolls. We got one of those and the avocado roll both are fantastic. Can't wait to see him on Saturday at the Little Italy farmers market on Sunday in La Jolla And he uses plastic free. Recyclable materials super thoughtful great steward of our beautiful blue planet 2. The vegan mushroom tamales from the tamale people are still amazing parents thank you so much for having a hot vegan option. We took some home as well. The little sauces are so good on it 3. My daughter love the crêpe on the stick people. It's very popular in Brazil and has been for a long time. 4. Shout out to the baklava young man. He makes his own Filo dough. They come beautifully box and make wonderful hostess gifts if you could hold onto them that long. They come in two sizes and they are delicious with an assortment of types. 5. Vegan and regular pizza, plenty of other amazing things the Japanese rice ball people are so lovely. And delicious food I do miss the chocolate chai cat guy Beautiful vibe. And there's also a wonderful big parking garage nearby. Ni

Yelp
I might be biased because North Park is without a doubt one of the best neighborhoods in San Diego - buuut I was finally able to experience the farmers market! It is every Thursday night, rain or shine. There were plenty of vendors, and the variety was endless. There were plants, all types of food, clothing, fresh fruits, CBD products, aromatherapy items, you name it! There were some very unique vendors that I haven't seen at other markets before, and I really enjoyed that. This market is fairly smaller than OB and Little Italy, so definitely don't have the same expectations. Overall, i loved the market and can't wait for the weather to warm up!

Yelp
There isn't much happening. I prefer hillcrest but if you are walking distance go. It's just some flowers and a few vendors.
google avatar

Joe L.

Yelp
If $10 sounds like a fair price to you for a bunch of chard and a bunch of salad greens, then feel free to add a star or two to this review. As for me, I will shop elsewhere. Honestly, the produce selection is about the same as that of City Heights and not nearly as good as Hillcrest. You pay Hillcrest prices and get City Heights variety. It's not worth it to me. However, Uprising Pizza is one of their new food vendors, and it may be the best vegan pizzeria in San Diego. My recommendation: get a pie and bring it to Eppig (which I'm assuming allows outside food). If they don't, please correct me.

Yelp
North Park has a great little Thursday market. It's taken quite a beating since the pandemic- but it has been slowly expanding to its former self. Great selection of Fruit & Veggies, Coffee, candles, jewelry and tons of Street Food. They usually have two musicians - and that can be hit or miss. But it's free entertainment while you stroll the off-streets of North Park. It's a great place to stroll with the entire family on a Thursday evening.

Yelp
Great market, good size. Nice variety of vendors with food stalls, fresh produce, flowers, baked goods etc. Def check it out.

Yelp
I'm glad we have this farmers market in the neighborhood, it's pretty centrally located and easy to walk to. It's one of the smaller farmer markets in town, but it still has a good variety of options. Such as Greek food, plants, Mexican food, yogurt, hot sauce, the list goes on.
google avatar

Theo S.

Yelp
I really like this farmers market and walk to it almost every week to pick up various produce and always some kefir from Baba Foods. There's also a vendor at the west end with a big stand full of beautiful plants that are very reasonably priced, I've bought a lot of plants from that gentleman and they're always so healthy! The market is small and that's what I like about it, it has a very relaxing vibe. I usually prefer it to some of the bigger markets like Little Italy or Hillcrest because those feel so crowded and hectic. I would love to see it expand to more vendors but on the other hand, that also means it would get more popular and lose that small neighborhood vibe that it has going on.

Yelp
Very nice market where you can find delicious foods, drinks and fresh produce groceries. You can also shop for some local artists' crafts and artworks, like myself. I make San Diego local art products, such as North Park prints, Tote bags, Coffee mugs and blankets... Welcome to check out my booth~~

Yelp
I love this farmers market! A few blocks of a street in North Park are closed off for it, so just look for street parking in the neighborhoods (if you end up parking far, there are so many electric scooters that you can use to speed up your trek to the market. Lots of fresh produce, and fun food options. I tried the Lebanese street food stand and got a half Zaatar and half Akkawi wrap (definitely add the veggies for a $1). It was so delicious and I definitely want to try everything else on the menu. There are a variety of food and drink options and it is also right by a lot of North Park's main businesses if you wanted to hang out there before or after your farmers market trip!
google avatar

Yelp
Looking for some adventure and fresh produce? Thursday is a great day to hang around North Park. This small market is perfect if you want to explore North Park or if you live near by. There are three side blocks of fresh produce, ready made food, and a few local artists. Come hungry, bring your own bags and grab some local goodies.

Yelp
Farmers Market in North Park, San Diego, on Thursday evenings We had some time before dinner, so my friends and I strolled along and stumbled upon this great find! Two blocks worth of vendors selling fresh produce, colorful flowers, handcrafted purses, yummy cheese, handmade jewelry, made to order meals, and more! I had to resist buying any food since we had dinner reservations nearby...the fragrance was so delicious... I had to get out of there! However, I did give in to two cute bunny magnets...haha! Anyway, hopefully, we will be back on a Thursday evening for some goodies!

Yelp
I stopped by the market by accident on day, I am so happy I did. It is such a gem. It is not the monstrous markets of Little Italy, OB or Hillcrest; if feels like they way they did 15 years ago when they were fun and not crazy. This market has the best of the best farms, JR organic is among them, they have honey, some amazing food stations, local crafters, live music, cookies (even gluten and vegan options!). They have games for the kids, or kids at heart to play. I also love the small sitting area, so you can grab a bite, listen to the live local music maybe meet a new friend, then take your veggies and flowers home. Open air and farmers markets are the fabric of San Diego, and this one is a must visit.

Yelp
Not sure why this market has only four stars. It's definitely worthy of five stars in my opinion. Great eats, fresh produce and a lot of different options for people with food intolerances. There was also some really neat artists. Also most vendors are using biodegradable packaging, which is a huge win for me. Parking can be challenging, would be great to ride your bike to.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been to the Market pre- COVID and during COVID. The market has not returned to it's former glory of 2-3 blocks, and is a simple 1 block right now. They have about 15 vendors now but, I still enjoy it. My favorite vendors include Rodney Kawano Farms, JR Organics, and South Bay Salsa. Most of the vendors are cashless which is great but Rodney Kawano is cash only. Every time I've been to the market, people are very respectful of social distancing, wearing masks, and have been abiding by the market rules on the Market's website.

Yelp
We were so lucky to be staying at an Airbnb right next to this farmer's market! It occurs every Thursday from what I understand, and the roads are blocked off for market goer's safe easy access. It's not a massive market, but I liked what I saw! From what I recall there was an impressive amount of food options - a lot of them vegan or with vegan options! I almost regretted chowing down immediately before stumbling upon the market. However, I did help myself to pretty much the most delicious cookies I've ever had (Maya's Cookies!). I also purchased some frozen tamales to fly home with and they were quite tasty as well. My friend ended up purchasing some chips and salsa from a vendor and again, it was addictive and delicious quality stuff. There was also tons of produce and some homemade trinkets here and there. Now I don't know if I would have specifically traveled out to this area to peruse this farmer's market had I not been staying nearby, but I think it's definitely worth checking out if you live in San Diego or if close to wherever you're staying.
google avatar

Yelp
This is the typical san diego farmers market. They have an average amount of vendors and a great mix of different ones which makes ot fun walking through. This isnt very big though so its not really worrh a drive there or paying for parking ... slightly bigger than thw Tuesday PB market. However if you live in the area or happen to be in NP on a Thursday night its definitely worth checking out!

Yelp
I came here to check out what this North Park market had to offer. They had so many vendors there. There were vegetable vendors and one that sold fresh flowers by the bundle. My favorite would have to be the Japanese pastry vendor. They sell these fish shaped pancakes filled with your choice of custard, chocolate and red bean. I have tried the red bean one. It's very good. The custard one is good too. Hot off the press. They block off around three blocks for the North Park market. Descent size. Today wasn't super packed when we went. It was around 6:15. They shut down around 7 pm. We made it in time before they shut down. I enjoyed this market and there are all kinds of people here. The only negative here would be the traffic coming in and out of here. Parking sucks as well.
google avatar

Donald R.

Yelp
Yes. Food trucks , tents, shops, music Chairs and tables to sit and enjoy. Meet the community, vender's to talk you. Specialty shops, Plenty of neighborhood free street parking. And close enough to the local stores to walk to
google avatar

Yelp
Really great vendors. Prices are a little high. Ocean beach and little Italy farmers market are a little better in size, so I may stick to these. But everyone here was nice!
google avatar

Yelp
Not sure if it's because the day we visited the North Park Thursday Market it was raining, but the vendors were very few and the selection didn't vary so much. For someone who is visiting from out of town, it was nice to have this Market near where all the businesses are in North Park, off of a main drag. It made walking here convenient. But we were hoping for more already-prepared items or food trucks that we could just get takeout of. Most of the vendors here were selling the same produce. I like that they have fresh produce stands here at the Market every Thursday for residents, but the selection was pretty much the same from one vendor to the next. It's nice this is year-round and a weekly occurrence, but only if I'm back in the area, would I visit this particular Market again.

Yelp
Of all the Farmers Markets in San Diego North Park Famers Market (Thursday's) is my favorite. It's not as big as Little Italy's or as crowded as the OB Farmers but it's perfect for me. Enough food vendors, Organic produce and florists for my shopping without the headache of trying to find parking. You know exactly what I'm talking about. Show up at 3 pm once around the block, park two minute walk to everything and a fantastic cup of coffee at Dark Horse and blaaaam! Walking around! I seriously recommend taking a few minutes and talking with all the vendors. Then next week on your visit everyone will know you and be happy to share the best of what they have. Cheers and see you there Thursday.

Yelp
Pretty cool date spot with an SO or friend. Stroll around a small Farmer's Market with dessert shops, food ( tacos , southern, Chinese, American ) and other jewelry , clothing and new modern health shops. There is a small table halfway to eat but the beauty is strolling and eating. Thursday Night Market is a small subset of the Little Italy farmer's market held on Saturdays. Parking is not fun, though roaming in the neighborhoods will ensure you'll eventually find one. There is also an attended pay lot for $5 left of the market. I recommend the jambayala to eat for $7 at the Gumbo Pot- large portions and absolutely delicious!!!!!

Yelp
OMG !! I love the North Park Farmers Market. You can meet local small business owners with the best of food and samples. Let me not forget the live music!! The live music during the farmer's market is usually versatile. It's like a small festival or carnival (without the rides). There's so much cultural in North Park and it is seen during this Farmers Market. From the food, to the live entertainment, to the activities, and the deserts (etc). The vegetables looked very fresh! The food vendors had the best customer service!! Which made me feel good spending my money with them. If you have children and want to shop or enjoy trying new types of foods this is the place. Don't worry about parking because there is a parking structure not to far that is inexpensive. I enjoyed myself and would truly recommend others to check it out . Ambience: 5/5 Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Price: 4/5

Yelp
Can't beat a farmers market in your own neighborhood! It's a bit smaller than some of the other area farmers markets but every stall is quality products with friendly people! My friends and I happened to go to Waypoint after to grab a bite and drinks, and Waypoint featured a bruschetta with fresh ingredients from that day's market so you can only picture how elated I was to see local establishments supporting one another!
google avatar

Yelp
This is a nice, decent-sized farmer's market. + Really friendly vendors. + A good variety of vendors incl. various prepared foods, aromatherapy, sauces, a butcher, smoothies, bone broth, hummus, vegan jerky, and more. + Great atmosphere with live music. - Could have used a bit more produce, IMO. Only saw two large produce stands and felt like they could have had more. Didn't see any tomatoes or cucumbers. Saw kale, lettuce, strawberries, snow peas, mushrooms, cauliflower, green onions, beets, radishes, zucchini. I mainly come for the produce so I'd have liked a bit more of a selection. - Parking is a headache in this area.
google avatar

Yelp
I have to admit, I was expecting more from this Farmers Market. I mean, it was fine, but I was expecting more food vendors. They had a nice amount of produce stands and couple of meat stands, but very few specialty shops. The good thing was that every vendor I spoke to were very friendly and informative. I picked up some fresh strawberries for smoothies (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/UOM1YUvQ0UVvFFNKPDtdRA?select=5977VsTNC_jhuNDnod06eA#nuOrYABfzxto4q21EGtf0Q) and some organic brown cage free eggs for omelets. (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/UOM1YUvQ0UVvFFNKPDtdRA?select=5977VsTNC_jhuNDnod06eA#SKb7PNjdMfZuKmEVIaFVdg) I had a few of the strawberries and they were great. Overall, I was hopping for a bigger variety of places to eat. I settled to for some sweets and a had a yummy waffle at Wow Wow Waffles. Very yummy. (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/UOM1YUvQ0UVvFFNKPDtdRA?select=5977VsTNC_jhuNDnod06eA#5977VsTNC_jhuNDnod06eA)

Yelp
I slept on this last night and I realized that I made a mistake. It's not the market's fault that people are not showing up to this place. When I get back from a quick trip to SF it will be on a Thursday. I am going to take 100.00 and buy a TON load of produce and some more of that balsamic vinaigrette from Napa, it's delicious. I also bought a loaf of bread that is cranberry and walnut from a bread vendor there. It has 0 oil which is compliant with my physician supported eating plan. -1 star for the neighborhood not supporting these local farmers. I will try to be a regular here if my work schedule supports it. This Farmer's Market is a bust sadly, I am very disappointed. It's not the vendors, it's the people of this area. This venue is perfect in every way, lot's of space, the City has allowed several streets to be closed, there is plenty of parking if you are not a lazy arse and don't mind walking or are not handicapped. I parked off of Ray and Dwight Street with 0 problems. I saw a bunch of bored out of their skulls vendors, waiting for SOMEONE to come by and quite honestly buy stuff and not just beg for samples. I seriously saw a Millennial couple put back three organic apples because they thought they were too much money and then walk over to Way Point Public to buy dinner and beer. Aren't beers like 10.00 now? I am leaving for a week but I could tell you right now, that I would buy out most of the beautiful produce I saw, greens, tons of in season squashes, fruit in season, and beautiful greens from Susie's Farms, there were farmed raised organic eggs there too. It was so pathetic that I heard two vendors joking back and forth saying that they won't be back to this location, that they will ONLY show up at Little Italy and Hillcrest. Works for me because I work late sometimes and can't make it to this Market. Hipsters and Millennials, you all are hypocrites, you demand these types of markets but don't patronize them because you are sitting in a brewery or outside of one smoking cigarettes and trying to guess who has the best burrito or hamburger. By the way, most of the people I saw shopping there were older and mom's pushing strollers. RIP North Park Farmer's Market, I think that eventually by December at least, you all will be shut down but I sincerely hope not.

Yelp
Great open market to browse around in. There is something for everyone. Lots of great local vendors selling an assortment of items from fresh flowers to clothes. There are many food vendors to satisfy your hungry belly. Love the fresh fruits & vegetables. I'll be back...

Yelp
Anything that allows me to support local business automatically gets my approval. I have a wonky work schedule, opting my weekends to be on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I've struggled to find ways to stay involved in the San Diego community, so when I came across this farmers market, I was stoked! We headed over around 4:30pm, and the market was in full swing. It takes a total of a half hour (maybe forty-five minutes) to leisurely stroll through all of the vendors. Allow more time for stopping to taste. There were several vegan options. Most of the food vendors seemed to lean on the healthy side, but there were also plenty of ethnic eateries featured. Dogs are in abundance!!!! Can't beat that. Apart from food, we saw jewelry, bath bombs and other beauty products, local businesses simply putting their names out, florists, fresh produce, and some live music. A very standard farmers market that errs on the smaller side. This definitely is not the type of market that becomes a weekly visit, but maybe every 6 months or so. Pleased with the experience, but not necessarily enticing enough to make consistent repeat visits.

Yelp
The North Park Thursday Market is on my To Do List for Thursdays. It's a smaller one, but worth checking out. One end begins West of 30th Street so you are right in the heart of the bars and restaurant's this neighborhood has to offer. Some of my favs include: Gogi Blvd/K BBQ, Majestic Garlic and Hopkins AG CA Fresh Almonds (can also be checked out: Sat/Italy Farmers and Sun/Hillcrest Farmers) Accepts EBT & WIC Market Match participant

Yelp
Tastes of oranges, fresh almonds, sweet potato noodles with chicken, aguas frescas, tacos, vegan queso, delicious Brazilian brigadeiros (chocolate truffles made with condensed milk)- what's not to love?
google avatar

Alfa S.

Yelp
I like this farmer's market because I can go after work, as opposed to getting up early on the weekends. A few vendors are there every week and some rotate. If you plan on buying stuff, I strongly suggest bringing your own bags/totes. I once forgot my tote in the car, (parking is a pain, like anywhere else in San Diego, and I didn't want to walk ALL the way back to the car), and ended up being limited in what I could buy. It was pretty sad. For me, anyway. As far as the food goes, there's vegan, vegetarian, and omnivore options. All that I've had has been really good. I must warn you, though, that you should price check and be critical about the produce vendors. One guy will sell you strawberries for $6 and a few stands down you can get the same amount for less. I once bought three different bouquets of flowers from a vendor and I ended up needing to throw about half away because the flowers were rotting (with mold!). It was also mostly filler plants that I paid for.
google avatar

Mari H.

Yelp
A perfectly small, complete farmer's market. There are few surprises, save a street food vendor or two, but if I had to list all the vendors I'd *need* from say the multi-block Saturday Little Italy extravaganza market, they're all here. Lots of organics, meat, eggs, flowers, almonds and cheese. Done. So happy to have this market close to my new digs!

Yelp
3.5 Stars This is a cool spot to walk around after work on a Thursday afternoon/evening. It wasn't terribly busy which is a nice change from the Hillcrest and Little Italy markets. There is a range of produce, hot food, and take-home food so its also a fun place to grab a bite to eat too. The 3.5 stars comes from my traditionalist view of a farmers market. The ratio of produce stands to other food options was not large. Thinking I was going to do a good amount of produce shopping there, I was a little disappointed at the five or so produce stands. That being said, there were a lot of great things at the market. I might not have bought all of the produce that I wanted but I got some beautiful flowers, tomatoes, and this crazy good banana chocolate chip bread. If you aren't looking to get a lot of grocery shopping done, it is a really great way to spend an evening in San Diego.

Yelp
I like to head over to the North Park Farmer's Market when the craziness of the Hillcrest Market becomes too much for me. It's located in the parking lot of the CVS on University on Thursday afternoons. This market is small, uncrowded, unpretentious and I actually feel more like I am helping out the local farmers and artisans. You don't get four flower sellers here, you get one. You don't have six people trying to shove free samples into your hands, you get maybe two. It has all of the great stuff that the other markets have, but it is more relaxing. On a recent visit I picked up: 1. Organic Kale $1.75 2. Flowers for my wife $5.00 3. 3 books for $8.00 Dinner, a happy wife and entertainment for less than $20.00? That rocks.

Yelp
Whoa - surprised with the 2(?)-4 star ratings. NoPark market is great ! I've been coming here weekly for over a year, and I couldn't be more pleased. YES, it's a smaller market compared to Hillcrest, but geez, they have some of the kindest vendors! Don't get me wrong - I like Hillcrest Market, but the crowd is little intense at times, plus parking is a bummer. At NoPark market's 3PM opening, you gotta wake up to a tasty 'Cold Mess' at the Smoothie stand. Pair it up with a cookie from Maya's - That gal has won awards(!!) in Del Mar and sells out usually within a couple hours. Matias sells empanadas, and they're the best in town!! If only he had a small shop in NoPark. I'd be a regular! So many more vendors line the two blocks (sometimes three), where we often buy Korean BBQ or Fresh Italian Dishes or Chicken Curry or..... (the list goes on!). Live music plays adding to the cool, cozy atmosphere. I love Thursdays !

Yelp
I loved this little farmer's market. If anyone has ever gone to the little Italy one on Saturdays, this is like a smaller more personal version. The size was deceptively large. It looks like only one isle of shops, but the vegetable area in the parking lot has a good 10-15 vendors. They all have awesome samples so I suggest hitting up all the great fruit stands. I always buy the "Bitchin Sauce" in little Italy so I was happy to see them at this farmer's market as well. I really recommend this market for people who love the feel of that "local vibe" with local organic produce and nice people. If you like farmer's markets but don't want to be bumping into tons of people then this is for you!!

Yelp
I picked an apartment on North Park Way as the North Park Thursday Market is on that street, so I'm just a few blocks from it. I've been going the last few weeks, usually to stock up on Bitchin' Sauce. Lots of other options here, too. It's no Little Italy Farmers Market, but it also doesn't have the crowds that they do. And it's a night market, which fits my hours (and North Park) perfectly. I'm a fan.

Yelp
This farmer's market has less vendors than Hillcrest or little Italy, but I'm happy that the Bread Bar is here. Unfortunately they only sell a few items here due to a smaller crowd. However you can still find fresh veggie n fruits here. And parking is not that difficult if u came here early.

Yelp
not my favorite of the San Diego markets, but most definitely not the worst. There are a few stands for each category, but this market does not portray the immense variety that OB or Hillcrest do.

Yelp
I'm so proud of how far our lil Farmers Market has come! If you were here 2/3 years ago you'll remember how much smaller and dinkier it used to be. Now it seems they've tripled or quadrupled the number of vendors along with the change in location. I was thrilled when they did this! Great move. I love to grab a glass of wine at Waypoint and then amble my way down the market. Some favorite items I like to pick up here: Bitchin' Sauce, garlic spread, pita bread, fresh berries and peaches and plums, freakin CRÈME BRULEE, the list goes on... Dogs ""not allowed"" lol

Yelp
We have lived in North Park for three years now and the quality of this farmer's market has gone down hill. It is a very small and gets more and more underwhelming as time goes on. My gripes aren't so much with the vendors as they are with the market staff themselves. We had just sat down to eat our dinner after standing in a long food stand line, and a woman who worked for the market came up and told us we had ten minutes, and then we had to leave because they were closing. Not only was it rude, but it was hilarious because the roads stay blocked off for an upward of two hours AFTER the market closes and even though all of the stands are taken down and gone, the cross streets remain closed off and inconvenience neighbors. If you are in such a hurry to get your customers to leave the market, the least you could do is hurry up and open the streets back up.

Yelp
We headed over around 4pm on Thursday and were surprised how busy it was! There is a good mixture of produce stalls, prepared food, packaged foodstuffs, and crafty stuff. We ended up getting really tasty grilled cheese sandwiches. Next time I want to try to empanadas, african food, jambalaya, or indian food. It all looked good! The walkway is nice and wide. There was live music. Overall, we were impressed because other times it seems kind of dead. Come and give this market a look!!

Yelp
Years ago when I didn't work on Thursday nights I loved making the drive up to North Park for their farmers market. While it is true that this Thursday Market isn't the same, that doesn't mean it's not delightful in its own way. No, it's not as large as it was or other markets in town, but what you have here are great vendors selling plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, flowers, ready made food for omnivores and vegans, fresh juice and smoothies, and some selling handmade jewelry, clothes, or beauty products. My family was in town visiting and I took them to this market as I had the evening off. The market hadn't really opened yet so we were the only ones there. For any vendors reading- I was with the country bumpkins who strolled through the street smoking because "we're outside"- so sorry! But without the crowd I could see what goodies the market has, and there were plenty. I'd also like to apologize to the Coconut "Bacon" lady. My Martian mother has no idea that you might be offended by her implying your food is Fear Factor worthy. She doesn't even eat vegetables, I'm not sure why I brought her out in public to a farmers market. The "brave" man who tried your vegan bacon bits and jerky said they were delicious, and that man lives on pig so that's saying something. We bought a plate of empanadas that were the most delicious little meat pies I've ever had. The corn one in particular, slathered with an amazing chimichurri, is now one of my favorite things to eat. I think I'll be calling in sick on a Thursday in the future if somebody can't be bribed into bringing me a plate at work. Basically if you like farmers markets for buying veggies and stuffing your face with street food- this is a good market to go to. Plus you're right near all kinds of great North Park shops to really round out your afternoon. Parking is super easy with a parking garage right there by the market so you've got no excuse to not give this market a chance.
