This place is awesome, me and my fiance tried it for the first time yesterday and then had to come right back today. The hot dogs are delicious but the homemade pretzels are freaking incredible. Such a sweet locally owned business. They work so quick too!

Google
This is cute little hotdog shop right across from the courthouse. Everyone in there was very friendly and passionate about their hotdogs. I ordered the NY style hotdog with onions, mustard and ketchup. I was good average. But the onions were regular onions not the NY style onions like in NYC. Like the onions that is in the sauce. The hotdog had its own southern twist to it. This place is great for a simple affordable lunch.

Google
Read about this place in an article from a guy that reviews Hot Dog joints from all over the country. Happens to be about 20 minutes from my office so I made the trip. I am very happy I did. Got 2 dogs All The Way and they were great!! That and a medium drink for $7.00 including tax and a .50 credit card charge. Awesome deal. Check this place out if you get the chance.

Google
Just what you would expect, an amazing hot dog and pretzel shop! Reasonable prices, good hot dogs with all the fixings. Friendly fast service, you need to check this place out!

The name says it all. It wasn't just a frank. That thing was great! I had to get a dog with mustard and slaw. Then I tried the Intimidator; that chili sauce was banging. Then I heard about the goodness of the Pretzels so, I tried 3 Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels and started singing, "this little light of mine" because it was amazing grace to my taste buds. My partners agreed with me as well. The owner, Frank, checked in to see how we were and how the dogs were. He wasn't disappointed by our responses. I shall return. Good food. Great service. Happening atmosphere. Located downtown Concord. Don't miss out on some great Frank people! Great prices too!!! Chicago dogs and all dogs better look out because Frank got something going on here.

I walked in at 2:52pm, 8 minutes before closing. Ordered 13 hot dogs, 3 pretzels, 6 drinks, and chips. It had been a while since I had Not Just Franks BUT everything was just as great as the first time! I mean as good as it was when they were located inside Carolina Mall. This is one of the few places that masters consistency. When it comes to the chili and slaw, you can taste that they are making this in-house and not just opening a package or can. The Sweet Carolina reminds me of those good old “church hot dogs” that we used to buy after service growing up. I couldn’t wait to get home and dig in. The young lady that took my order was kind enough to help me carry my food to the car. It was a big order. The owner working humbly in the back with his head down, fast pace, and gentle smile. I always look for him as my sign that it’s still the same goodness…still the same quality…still the same attention to detail whether it’s related to the dogs or the pretzels. So affordable, so fast, and so delicious! I will continue my rush to get here before 3pm when I’m in the mood for a great hot dog (Sweet Carolina and a Deputy Dog…yum)…and a soft, warm pretzel if I’m not too full!

Google
First time here. I love trying new hot dog places as it brings back cherished memories of time spent with my dad. Service is quick and accurate, I had the #2 special, which is 2 dogs, and drink, and chips. Ordered them as "Franks favorite" (Mustard and Red Onions), and they were delicous. An ample a.ount of condiments without being overloaded. I chose the Orange aid for my drink, which is safe to order using fresh oranges. It was delicous! Definately a place I'll visit again!

Google
Great local spot with freshly made giant pretzels and hot dogs. Fresh food, great quality, lots of options on hot dog toppings...my favorite being the Chicago dog! Very reasonable prices and friendly service. Love this place!

Yelp
NJF is almost nostalgically great. It reminds me of chili dogs I had as a kid. Soft, fresh bun, an almost quiet hot dog, slathered with mustard and diced white onions, and topped with the most simple, delicious chili you can imagine. All at a perfectly affordable price. Throw in a nice Arnold Palmer and a bag of Lays potato chips and its a lunch fit for a King. And don't forget the cinnamon sugar pretzel for dessert. Nice bit of crisp on the bottom and soft and chewy on top. There's nothing fancy here, and yet it just executed with perfection. It makes sense they are only open for four hours. The folks working their butts off in there must be flat out exhausted after four hours of a line that never goes away. Guaranteed I will keep coming back. This gets five stars for doing something simple that others can't seem to get right.

Yelp
Welcomed into warm colors, exposed brick walls & slight industrial charm. Friendly greeting & fun banter between associates while ordering. I enjoyed a warm garlic Parmesan Pretzel & pizza sauce dip. Yum! The pretzel was fresh and soft. And, the Parmesan coating was chef's kiss. My son enjoyed 2 hot dogs w/ketchup & mustard. They were good according to him.

Yelp
Love their pretzals! The best! All of em are good. Hotdogs too. Customer service is always kind. They have a pay it forward pretzel sign and which shows a lot about a small business. Clean big area to eat with family and friends!

Yelp
There's just something about a pit stop for a good hot dog. And this one is one I'll be thinking about for a long time. We stopped in for a Concord food crawl and I almost didn't order anything because I was already full but I'm so glad I did! This hot dog/pretzel combo is the one I never knew I needed. The hot dog was juicy with a soft bun and the homemade pretzel was so buttery. The cinnamon sugar dipped in icing was one of my favorite bites of the day. Next time I'm in concord it will be imperative to stop into this little hole in the wall for a delicious treat!

Yelp
When it comes to chowing down on a southern old fashioned hot dog, I'm your girl! A good hot dog can turn any bad day upside down and that's exactly what you'll find here at Not Just Franks. They're serving up some delicious hot dogs in a casual environment with prices that can't be beat. You can order one hot dog for $2.10 or 3 hot dogs for $6. They have several combos listed as well. Playing off the "Not Just Franks" name, they also serve delicious homemade pretzels in a couple of different flavors with dipping sauces to match. There is quite a bit of construction going on downtown Concord right now but otherwise, this is a great spot in a cute little downtown area.

Yelp
I Love coming here on the weekends. My daughter and I always get a few hotdogs and salted pretzels. The pretzels are nice and soft and I feel like I can eat a ton of them. I like how you can see them twisting the pretzel dough up before cooking them up. The hotdogs and banging too. I like to go crazy on the toppings. It never takes long for the food to be ready and we usually dine inside. I'll def keep coming back.

Yelp
DELICIOUS! We had tried to stop in another time prior and they were closed. When I tagged them they actually messaged me and apologize (Customer service, I see you). I am so glad we made it back because the hot dog was everything you could ever want. The pretzel was just the side you need with your glizzy!

Lakiisha R.

Yelp
Hotdogs were good, customer service was a plus! Environment was casual, customers were steady in and out! I gave 4 stars for parking. It's a distance for an elderly or handicapped person. Everything else was great and I would recommend "Not just Franks"

Shirley R.

Yelp
Hot dogs were great, didn't have a long wait.music good in the back ground. Everyone that works there is so very nice.one of my very favorite places.

Jesus P.

Yelp
Best hotdog place in the area, fast, friendly , and fresh ! Love their cinnamon pretzel!
google avatar

Cynthia R.

Yelp
I went in really excited to try this place, I love a good hot dog. Prices are great, can get a dog, drink and side for less than $5. But honestly once I got the dog I wasn't overly impressed. It wasn't piping hot, and I added cheese to mine, thinking it would be shredded, but it was sliced cheese. Maybe if the dog was extremely hot, that would have worked, but cold cheese on anything lukewarm just isn't good. Place has potential, but overall just an ok experience for me.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem! I am not one to seek out a hot dog joint, but..... this place is absolutely amazing! No joke, the best hot dogs Ive ever had. All the toppings are homemade and the NY red onions and spicy barbeque sauce are ridiculously good!! You just dont find a place like this amywhere now. And the pretzels, omg delicious!! Only suggestion inhave would be to add french fries to the menu. Highly reccomend this place, Go!!!!! Thank me later

Yelp
It is locally owned and very simple. Juat as a hot dog joint should be. Great dogs and price appropriately.

Yelp
Great food, great prices, great experience (except turn the AC on a reasonable temp, no one likes to sweat while they are eating)

Yelp
Delicious food and friendly, fast service! It's always busy there and that's for a good reason!! Great variety on their menu and lovely experience. Will most definitely be back!

Yelp
Love this place - our go to hot dog spot! Always check hours since close early most days.

Yelp
Made a stop at Not Just Franks while traveling from Charlotte to Winston-Salem. It was easy enough to find off of Interstate 85. I arrived right at 11 and saw them switch on the OPEN sign. The cashier was especially helpful making recommendations when I said I was a first time visitor. He recommended the number 5 which was a hot dog and a pretzel. Helluva combo. I got the Spicy Frank which was chili and spicy bbq sauce and a garlic Parmesan pretzel with pizza sauce to dip (the cashier's recommendation). He coated the pretzel with a generous amount of the garlic Parmesan dust right in front of me. The dog was tasty. The chili and the bbq sauce blended well into a sloppy joe-ish flavor. I wish the bun had been toasted but that's my only complaint. Again, the pretzel had plenty of topping and was really good when paired with the pizza dipping sauce. The pretzel is very very soft/doughy. It doesn't have that tougher texture that you find on soft pretzels at a baseball game. Not a complaint, just pointing out a difference. My experience at Not Just Franks was really good and I'll definitely visit again.

Yelp
For a quick, easy, cheap bite this is the place to go. Our food came out quickly and it tasted good. The line was long, but we got through the line pretty fast. It's a small local business and as a local, it's a great place to go. I got All The Way Frank add jalapeños food: 4/5 cleanliness: 3/5 price: 4.5/5 overall: 4.2/5

Yelp
Was in town for business and had a little time before my afternoon appointment, missed lunch by about an hour and a half so I stopped in for a little something to go. Kinda cute sort of space with a few tables scattered about, the cookery is behind some glass next to the counter where you walk up and place your order - and you'll have a sack of snacks right off; my Deputy Dog and soda were ready and waiting for me while I was still picking my chips. Nothing extravagant going on here: a hot dog with some home-spun BBQ sauce, chili, chiles, and slaw, plus a drink and a treat. yea chili-barbeque!! Menu board lists a half dozen hot dog suggestions and combos or you can roll your own if you want. If I lived near I'd eat here...
google avatar

James S.

Yelp
The menu is about as simple as it gets but it's the quality of the food and the people that keep their customers coming back. You can get a plain hot dog or one of about 8 different combinations. I had the intimidator with hot sauce and jalapeños as well as the German dog with mustard and kraut. Both were good and filling. Next time I need to save room for the homemade soft pretzels!

Tommy H.

Yelp
Been eating here for two years. It is always the best hot dogs around. Very friendly staff. Even with the sidewalk and street missing, I still walk a few blocks to eat there. Great little hot dog joint.

Yelp
Not Just Franks is a hidden Gem in Concord NC! The hot and fresh pretzels come in a variety of flavors (cinnamon-sugar is my favorite) and the original is yummy too, these pretzels are dripping with buttery goodness and just the right amount of salt (watch out Auntie Annies, they give you a run for the money)! And the all beef franks with your choice of toppings are simply mouthwatering! The lines were out the door with people getting not just Franks but combos so they can have the best of both worlds! The only issue I had with NJF is they are kind of stingy with the napkins, if you don't ask for napkins you won't get any, so be sure to ask or you'll be wiping your buttery fingers on the bag (like me) or your clothes! This was my first trip here but it certainly won't be my last!

Yelp
Not just Franks is very near and dear to my heart. Located in the heart of downtown Concord, this location not only serves up some of the best hot dogs around, but they have a hot pretzel that melts in your mouth. For those that have a urge for a hot pretzel either amply garnished in salt, or other toppings such as cinnamon sugar, this is the place to come while experiencing the historic Center of Concord living. They also have a feature that is unique to them call paying it forward, which is patrons donating hot pretzels to those who otherwise can't afford it. Hats off to not just Franks, and I'll continue to be a willing contributed to your paying it forward program.

Yelp
Not Just Franks is an order-at-the-counter place, and when I arrived at 11:45, there was already a line and plenty of people seated. As I waited, I looked around and noticed that almost everyone was eating pretzels. I now know why. Though I actually came here for hotdogs, the number of people eating pretzels made me curious enough to order one. It was easily one of the best pretzels I've eaten in my entire life. Soft, hot, fresh, and delicious. Note: these are the type with a lightly crispy exterior and sort of flat and not real puffy, not the dense doughy kind with the tough brown exterior. I also ordered 4 hot dogs. I couldn't decide what to try. Don't judge me. All-the-way: the chili was sweeter than I prefer, but the outstanding slaw more than made up for it--it was delicious and announced its presence boldly without being overbearing. German: just mustard and sauerkraut. It was positively delicious, with some of the best sauerkraut I've ever had. A lot of sauerkraut is overpoweringly sour and tough--this was not. It was delicious, tender, and perfect. Intimidator: basically a chili dog with hot sauce and jalapeños, it added a nice spice to the hotdog selections today. Delicious! Frank's Favorite: with mustard and NY red onions (which is onions in a red sauce if you don't already know that). Another great hot dog today. I don't know what brand of wiener they use at NJF, but it is very good. If you are a hotdog (or pretzel) lover, put this place on your bucket list.

Yelp
Good old fashioned hot dog and pretzels at a great price. My favorite is the orangeaide. Love the food and the staff!
google avatar

Jim C.

Yelp
This place is an absolute bargain for hot dogs. We tried 8 different dogs in all, but the only shame was some of them tasted so much alike it was hard to tell them apart. But the buns were steamed, soft and delicious. It's a smaller hot dog, but priced right. The toppings were generous, the service was excellent and the pretzels... oh the yummy pretzels! These are baked fresh, and are big and delicious. Definitely worth a stop whether you crave a dog, pretzel or one of each. Truly a bargain too!
google avatar

Yelp
Small shop on the lower end of Union Street across from the Old Court House. Very spartan but very functional. They turn out great dogs at a great price. You can get three dogs with your choice of topping (cheese extra) for $5.00 Make it a combo for a $7.15 which includes a drink and bag of chips. I had three dogs, with ketchup, mustard, onions and chili and they were perfect and made for a great lunch. The part that is not Dogs is Pretzels. They have an interesting way of increasing sales and promoting good will. For a dollar, you can buy a pretzel for the next customer that comes in.

Yelp
My boyfriend and his family always talked about a place called Katie's Pretzels that used to exist around Chapel Hill when they were kids. They were very nostalgic about it and recently found out about this place that seemed to have the same pretzels. After a 3 hour drive, we finally arrived at Not Just Franks! Let me just begin with saying everything exceeded our expectations! We were luckily greeted by Frank, himself! It was so much fun. He was very kind, respectful, passionate and just a joy to talk to. :-) I've never had Katie's Pretzels myself, but these pretzels here were the BEST ones I've ever had! I also got a hotdog Frank made for me. I believe it had a little BBQ sauce, ketchup, mustard, chili, and jalapeños. It was VERY good. The combination of sweet and spicy was perfect. We had the best experience we could've asked for after the drive! We're making it a tradition to come back every year and look forward to all the future trips. Thank you!! :-)

Yelp
Was looking for some yummy hot dogs to try and this place did not disappoint! We walked in 15 min before they were going to close and were expecting some disgruntled looks ( as we tend to get more often than not if we did this in California) but to my pleasant surprise, no one batted an eye and instead offered us some smiles and patience and we looked over the menu. The moment we ordered, they were fulfilling each item, which was cool, because by the time we paid, everyone in our party had their food in hand. We acknowledged that we came right when they were about to close but they still offered us to sit in the dining room to eat our food and said we could take our time. So nice! We ordered two All the Way Franks and the Intimidator. Plus, each of the hot pretzels they offer: garlic Parmesan, lightly Salted and cinnamon sugar. We salad got the nacho cheese dip and icing dip. The dog were all beef Franks and delicious!!!!! The buns were soft and slightly sweet and the toppings were just tasty! Not to mention the pretzels.... warm and soft yet chewy. So perfect!!! We will definitely be back here very soon!!!

Yelp
It really doesn't get more basic than this. I've followed them since before they moved out of Carolina Mall. If you are on the mood for a good warm pretzel and a hot dog, this is the place. They know how to do it right.

Justen L.

Yelp
Everyone is always friendly and it's the best hotdogs money can buy such a simple place yet so amazing

Janet S.

Yelp
The hot dogs are great but the pretzels are my favorite. The Parmesan with the marinara sauce is super tasty! My daughter is crazy about the cinnamon sugar one. Well worth the drive from Huntersville when I'm craving a hot dog and pretzel.
google avatar

Daniel B. B.

Yelp
Sometimes simple is better. At Not Just Franks, they keep things simple and it's delicious. There are a whole two types of food on the menu: hot dogs and soft pretzels. The pretzels are made in house, which is a huge plus. They're always friendly and polite with customers. Don't forget to wash your awesome lunch down with a cold orangeade!
google avatar

Kacy B.

Yelp
Used to eat here yearrrrrs ago when they were located in Carolina mall - to my surprise they still make the fresh squeezed ORANGE-ADE - An absolute must.

Katherine E.

Yelp
Never disappoints. Amazing food and service. One of the best places to grab lunch in Concord.
google avatar

Keith W.

Yelp
Came on a recommendation and I'll say that the look and feel of the establishment took me back to my childhood. Being able to get and old fashioned hot dog, and sweet tea was iconic. I got 3 hotdogs, 1 was the Chicago the other 2 had chili and slaw. Delicious. I also tried a freshly made pretzel that was garlic Parmesan flavor. Such a surprising extra. Take it back to your childhood and check out Not Just Franks!
google avatar

Larry H.

Yelp
My home town has an unbeatable hot dog place called Dallas Hot Wieners..... in Kingston NY lol. No where has ever come close to it..... until not just franks. I was blown away. I really didn't expect it to be this good lol. It made me feel like home again. Thank you!!
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Quick and easy place to grab lunch. Hots dogs and soft pretzels. The pretzels can be a little too buttery in my opinion but overall great. Love the cheese sauce!

Jacob R.

Yelp
Staff is great and the food was awesome for the money you spend. I would highly recommend.

Yelp
Not Just Franks is a quaint, cute, and delicious restaurant. The menu is simple, straightforward, and affordable. The staff is friendly and service is fast. Not only do they serve hot dogs, they also serve the BEST homemade pretzels!!!!! If your in the area definitely check it out!!!
google avatar

Brad F.

Yelp
Talk about good old fashion hot dogs. It's more of an in and out place which is great. Love the chili and slaw
google avatar

Jennifer P.

Yelp
I don't even like hot dogs, and I love Not Just Franks! They really have some magic they put in their food. Everything I have tried there is absolutely delicious. Not Just Franks is conveniently located on Union Street in Concord, right across the street from the Cabarrus County Courthouse. It is a quick lunch, without being "fast food." It is easy to pop in for a yummy snack while shopping downtown (or if you're me, window shopping). Not Just Franks offers Not Just hotdogs, but pretzels too! There are different types of pretzels...the most important being cinnamon and sugar. When enjoyed warm with buttercream frosting (50¢ extra) I challenge you to find a more delectable dessert in the Concord area. It's finger-lickin' good! And don't overlook the beverages! Not Just Franks offers fresh squeezed lemonade and orangeade, made with real sugar. Just the thirst-quencher for a hot summer day. Not Just Franks is really a community establishment. The owner has a "Pay It Forward" program where people can pay a little extra and leave a sticky note for someone. If there is a day you don't have enough, you can pick a sticky note and still get your favorite snack. Make sure you try out Not Just Franks; you will enjoy it!
google avatar

Dominique J.

Yelp
The girl behind the counter mainly making food ore gloves and a mask which was great.... HOWEVER, the woman behind the register did not wear gloves. I didn't have any issue with this UNTIL SHE STARTED TOUCHING MY FOOD to assist the other girl! She went from touching cash to touching my food!!! The hotdogs tasted microwaved and not grilled. I didn't see a grill either. This was very disappointing as when you want a hot dog, people typically desire the grill flavor, NOT microwave flavor. They have such few options as well. Why no fries?! PLUS TGEY CHARGE TO PAY WITH CARD!! Definitely not what I expected and I won't be back..... Disappointing
google avatar

Tee D.

Yelp
I am a huge fan of hotdogs so when I saw this place I really hoped it would be good. Thank goodness they did not disappoint. They have a variety of hotdogs toppings and a few of their own creations. The portions are great and the prices are better. They even make handmade pretzels as you watch. The extra couple minutes is worth the warm buttery pretzel. They have various topping and sauce options for the pretzels as well. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. The seating is limited and they are always super busy so get there as soon as you can, you wont regret it!
google avatar

Andi N.

Yelp
Best place for hot dogs & pretzels! I've enjoy Not Just Franks for over 10 years now. HIGHLY recommended!
google avatar

Griffin T.

Yelp
Tried Not Just Franks last weekend for the first time. The name is truly very fitting as these hot dogs are much more than your average hot dog. I cannot determine if it was merely my being unbelievably hungry or the flavor, but it was one of the best hot dogs I have ever tasted. But the hot dogs are not even the best part about this small spot located conveniently in downtown concord. The homemade pretzels here are definitely good enough to write home about. With a variety of flavors and toppings to choose from, you truly cannot go wrong with a pretzel. The restaurant itself is not very big and was pretty busy for a Saturday afternoon, a good sign for customers. I would highly recommend stopping in for a pretzel or staying for a hot dog! The staff here are excellent and take the time to make you feel welcome.
google avatar

Melissa B.

Yelp
If you go on a Saturday, be aware that there's not a ton of seating areas (since the majority of the working class has weekends off) so you may end up sharing a table with someone else. The line moved quickly and the service was good. I felt like the lady taking my order was looking at me oddly because I wasn't done stating my order (felt kind of rushed), but maybe it was just me. Got the "Sweet Carolina" (mustard, ketchup, chili, & slaw) and "Frank's Favorite" (mustard and NY onions) and they were both very good. We also got a parmesan pretzel with pizza sauce which was also very delicious. "Frank's Favorite" is heavy on onions so be aware of that and bring some gum or mints or your breath will put out anyone you speak to afterwards. Otherwise, the flavors and price are worth visiting this establishment. KID-FRIENDLY as long as your child(ren) don't mind hot dogs! EVERYBODY WINS
google avatar

MickeyBlue I.

Yelp
If you're feeling a good, juicy, plump, delicious hot dog I don't recommend coming here! The only reason we stopped by was because our initial choice restaurant was closed so we decided to wing it. The place is a quick, grab your lunch and go type of place and the prices are very cheap. The hotdogs are boring and bland, with cold buns. Their pretzels are just as bad. Skip it.
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
They only do 2 things, Hot dogs & Pretzels. They do both very well. I had a chili dog and a pretzel and both were delicious. What caught my eye was a "pay it forward" sign on the door giving the customer an option of paying it forward to another customer who might be in need. I tried to walk in but it was a few minutes after closing time and the door was locked. Someone rushed to the door to let me in. They were very friendly and the place was immaculate even at the end of their business day. Even the follow customers were friendly... This was all in addition to having a really tasty chili dog. If you are in Downtown Concord between 11:00 and 3:00 Monday thru Saturday, definitely give them a try.
