Now Boarding

We had a great experience boarding our two boxers over the weekend. I love that we were able to customize the experience for each dog since we have one that loves daycare and one that does better with one-on-one playtime. We received detailed report cards and our dogs came back happy, healthy, and worn out. This will definitely be our new go-to for boarding!

My family went on vacation together so my mother had to board her cats for the first time in 5 years. We were very nervous because the last time they had been boarded one of the boys had been neglected to the point where they hadn’t noticed he was over grooming a spot the size of a quarter dollar at the base of his tail. It took 3 years and a Prozac Rx for him to treat the anxiety that first appeared there. HOWEVER, our experience here at Now Boarding was wonderful. I had looked at multiple companies and this was the only one that had a dedicated cat area that didn’t look like a glorified janitor's closet. Plus, they allowed me to stop by before we booked to make sure the area was clean and consistent with what was seen online without making an appointment. Not only was it consistent with the pictures, in my opinion it looked even better in person. You could tell the animals were well taken care of and that the litter boxes were cleaned regularly. We dropped them off the afternoon before our flight and picked them up at 7:30 at night when we got back. We called almost everyday and got good updates on how they were doing, making sure that Sven wasn’t over-grooming, and making it flexible for the boys to get extra play time when it was determined it would be beneficial and they wouldn’t just hide. They didn’t try to upsell us additions they didn’t need or wouldn’t use and when Sven decided to go on a hunger strike they gave us updates on how they were addressing it. When we did pick them up the boys were happy to see us, and extra affection when they got home, but Sven had no bald spot and they have gotten back to normal quicker than I would have ever imagined. Yes, more expensive than other places, but you get what you pay for and those boys are worth it. When we travel again we will absolutely be bringing them back here, no questions asked.

I left my 3 kitties there for one night. It definitely takes time for my cats to acclimate, but I wanted to do a one night trial to see how my kitties would do since I am going on an international trip in a couple of months. I will definitely use Now Boarding again! I can tell the kitties that are there are well taken care of. It's clean and the condos have little cubbies and their own litter box. The staff there were gentle and kind with my cats! I definitely trust them to take care of my cats while I'm gone.

My dog was there for less than 24 hours, had fun with new friends, and was cared for like he was there’s. We dropped our pup off because we were only in town briefly and wanted to visit a few not dog friendly spots. The 24 hour model made this easy, convenient and efficient for us.

Now Boarding was recommended to me by a neighbor and I’m so grateful to have found them! I have boarded my longhaired dachshund a few times, used their doggy daycare on occasion, and I take my dog most Sundays to Mini Romp; a playgroup for dogs under 20 pounds. My reactive, nervous, dog LOVES the staff and loves going there. I book online, which is quick and easy. The Mini Romp is well supervised. There’s no fighting, humping, or other bad behaviors tolerated. Staff is constantly picking up and sanitizing, as the dogs do their business. There are plenty of slides, tunnels, and things to climb/interact with, both inside and outside. The staff are true dog lovers, who give the dogs lots of love and attention. It’s a super friendly, professional, reliable, well-maintained outfit where you can feel comfortable leaving your beloved pet. For boarding: Their website is great for uploading docs and leaving specific instructions. They confirm all specifics when you check in, and go over all special instructions, including food and medicine. I bring my dog’s little tent, toys, and blankets for comfort. When I pick him up, I receive all items, which have been clearly labeled with his name. Nothing ever gets lost. Boarding your dog comes with a report card and photos. Their attention to detail is fabulous. They gave me a tour of the boarding facilities, and it’s great to know what their set up and procedures are. Most importantly - the phone is answered, calls and email are returned, and their communication is excellent! I can’t say enough about them. They’ve been my lifesaver and my dog’s happy place.

I was very nervous to leave my dog here for the first time. She’s VERY attached to me and doesn’t enjoy unfamiliar places (especially without myself present). But with my wife starting a new career, I couldn’t stand leaving Fern at home all day alone. The application process was fast, the rates are good, and the staff is very friendly. I brought Fern here for a half day just to see how she’d do. She was nervous at first but the staff were patient and understanding of her hesitance. When I finally arrived for pickup I saw a very heartwarming scene, a staff member, petting and comforting fern, showing the amount of care and love they have for their job. I got to rest after a long day of work instead of taking her for a 2 hour walk (the usual routine) I will definitely be bringing Fern here from now on!

I am extremely disappointed with the care my dog, Simba, received during his recent stay (8/7–8/9). Upon pickup, I discovered that Simba had been given incorrect medication care—he missed two PM doses of his controlled medication critical for controlling his seizures. This is absolutely unacceptable, as missing doses puts his health at serious risk. To make matters worse, the facility reached out via email to confirm medication doses. I did not see the email until the following morning, and despite calling multiple times to clarify, I received no answer. My husband eventually got through after several attempts. When I called again after pickup to address the missed doses, I was placed on hold for 45 minutes without resolution. The lack of communication, follow-up, and accountability is deeply troubling—especially when it comes to something as serious as medication management. As a direct result of his missed doses he suffered a seizure that could have been entirely prevented had he been given his prescribed doses. We requested a refund for the stay and have not received any communication from department heads or management, which only adds to the frustration and concern. This experience has caused us significant stress and has completely eroded our trust in this facility. If you are considering boarding your pet here—especially one with medical needs—I strongly caution you to think twice. The health and safety of your pet should always come first.

This place was a life saver for us! We had plans to fly out on a Sunday for a family trip & our friend, who was planning to watch our dog, had to go to the ER on our drop off day. So we activated a Plan B - just in case - and Now Boarding was clutch! Not only did they make room for her but they were so understating and accommodating about the entire request. The profile I filled out wasn’t onerous and the actual drop off for my pup was slick. I was able to bring her at the ungodly hour of 4am as I had to get to the airport by 5am (they are open 24 hours!) I am SO thankful to Now Boarding and I appreciate the report card they put together for my pup so I knew how she fared staying with them. I would also like to thank Adogo and Lucky Pet Inn who recommended them to me. Also thank you to Dog Days Vandalia for the call back. It was a stressful time right before we were flying out and it all worked out thanks to Now Boarding!

My dog has been coming here for several years and even though it's not super close to where I live, I keep bringing her back here. The facilities and staff are great. They communicate well and are open 24/7 so always available for questions. My dog has come here for daycare, day boarding and for overnight stays. They're able to give medications and have a number of add on services (like group play, individual play, kong treats, grooming, etc.) to make your pets stay comfortable, which is important for me because my dog has anxiety! It's a great option for people who like to travel because they're right next to the airport and offer parking and shuttles to the airport. Highly recommend it! The only thing I wish they had was a pet cam, but they do send pet report cards during their stay.

My dog LOVES them, as do I. Super friendly, efficient, organized, well-run, and true dog lovers. My dog has boarded there, and I take him to the Mini Romp for small dogs every Sunday. I can't tell you how much I appreciate these people and the amazing service they provide!

This is an excellent place, from front desk check in to pick up. Very efficient and professional. Our pup was very happy.

We wanted to have a couple options for doggie daycare and boarding, so we decided to try Now Boarding. My dog really enjoyed her daycare experience, and made friends with a smaller dog. This will be a great place to board her given its proximity to the airport. The staff is helpful, friendly, and focused on the wellbeing of the dogs.

They did close but are under new ownership-OPEN! I have been boarding my dog at this location for years and will never go anywhere else if possible. You can't beat the hours and I love that it's close to the airport. The staff are 10/10

We are traveling with our two labs and wanted to go to the MOA. I can't say enough good things, from the initial phone call to the report card after we left everything was perfect. We did the day boarding as our dogs haven't ever gone to daycare and they would be in smaller groups. If you are looking for someone to watch your dog I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Now Boarding.

We had an excellent experience from the first phone call to picking up the dogs at the end of their stay. Booking was easy and they contacted my vet for all the info they needed. The place was easy to find, clean and welcoming. Staff was friendly and professional. I love that they are staffed 24 hours so you can drop off and pick up any time. What a great concept. Most importantly, my dogs seemed very happy and they came out looking and smelling great after a full day of boarding. Their beds were also as clean as when they came in. They had a nice report card available online. The only thing that would have improved it is if they had some pictures attached to the report card so I could see them enjoying their day. Location-wise they are conveniently next to the airport so I was a little worried the sound of planes taking off could be scary for them, but they seemed to do fine. Overall, I'm really happy I chose this place and would definitely recommend.

We've been using Now Boarding since we moved back to Minneapolis over a year ago. Always great service. I admit it's a little pricey, but you honestly get what you pay for. We had to bring our dog to another place once, and he came back so hoarse he couldn't even bark, from being boarded in gen pop without a private option. But Now Boarding offers a much more private option for more vocal pups like mine. The personal care and attention the staff pays to our pups is incredible. We have 2 doxies, one with a bad back (as they often have). We are never worried that he'll be mishandled and injured at Now Boarding. This is the first time we decided to have group play time, and our boy did amazing. I love the report cards they give you - at least one note a day indicating how your pup behaved (or didn't). We were reassured that he did great. We recently had to put one of our dogs down due to an acute health problem. We called Now Boarding and changed our reservation from 2 dogs to 1, no problem. What is truly incredible is that when we picked up our surviving dog today from a 5-day stay, we received a hand-written, personalized sympathy card from the staff. And I don't just mean a standard "so sorry for your loss" sympathy card. No. Each of the staff members wrote something personal and really sweet - and I mean truly personal. They remembered details about Etta's stays and her personality, and noted them in the card. Mind you, we've only boarded them 6 or 7 times at most. But the staff honestly remembered her, and genuinely cared that she's no longer with us. We would never hesitate to board our dog at Now Boarding, but after this sympathy card, not a doubt in our minds that this is the ONLY place we will ever board our 4-legged loved one.

First time leaving my 1 year old Cat for a long weekend. I was super nervous about bringing him to pet day care and wasn't sure how he would do. I was able to book my reservation online, super easy and straight forward. During the booking, I was about to write out how my pet likes to spend time with people - he is not a cuddler but loves to play. He constantly has toys out and really wants nothing to do with you if you are not interested in running around with him. When I picked him up, I learned that the staff really took into consideration what I wrote and took time to play with him. He had the greatest time! He really enjoyed exploring the cat room and had no problems with eating and using his litter box (signs that he was not stressed. phew!) I did pay the extra money to have a calming collar on him to help with any anxiety but from his report card, apparently he was just fine. I don't even think he missed me, he just loved the attention he was getting! Thank you so much to the staff at Now Boarding for doing a great job with my little one. I am so relieved that I can now travel without worrying about what I am going to do with my cat. Dog owners - they have an outside area where dogs just get to run around so they get their exercise for the day. They looked super happy to be out there.

Certainly the nicest boarding facility I've seen in the southern Twin Cities. The outstanding services include online reservations, 24/7 operating hours, convenient location next to airport, monitored day care and a friendly staff. The rates are slightly higher than some of the other boarding facilities in the area, but considering the quality / convenience, it still has a far superior value for short stays. Due to the high price, however, we leave our dog with Skyview Kennel in Farmington for extended boarding.

My first choice in boarding when I have to travel for work (which is pretty often). Why my first choice? * 24 hour access, I like that they pro-rate *Closest to the airport. Super convenient for me. *New, clean facility *Easy to book appts online *Frequent stay program to save $$ So... why not 5 stars? *I feel bad to say this, but the front desk staff has never been overly happy or personal to see my girls. It has been a rather cold check-in and check-out experience for me. (Service means a lot these days!) *If i want weekend boarding I have to book like 3 weeks + in advanced. *They just changed their AAA discount. *They just changed their parking program. I think now you need 5+ days of boarding. All in all - - as I said earlier, this is my first choice for boarding my girls. I save money here versus other places, and I really like the convenience (when they aren't full).

Use the name "Ruby F" if booking please! BOTH you and us get points for it!! 5-stars, hands down. We use Now Boarding while traveling to Mall of America for school shopping. Hotels and pets don't want to be locked in a room all day while the family is out having fun. Would you? The online reservation is quick, as is the check-in and check-out. With the day boarding we are able to pick up our pup whenever we are done (just say your dog will be all day). She has very strict diet requirements and they respect that. It's helpful to bring a toy or something familiar, just like you'd do for a child in a new environment. Next year we'd like to do a fun spa day for her while we are shopping, and could use your help earning points. Please use the name "Ruby F" with the refer-a-friend program! She and our family thank you in advance!! Make sure you ask others (once you're hooked of course) to use your own referral to! I wish they'd branch out to other state locations, because it's THAT nice and convenient!

This place is great. At a neighborhood party one of our neighbors mentioned the Sunday mini romp. While this isn't always easy to get into, we had to make reservations two months in advance, our pup loves it and always comes home ready for a cozy night sleep. Every time we bring our dog the employees know her name and are excited to have her. You can tell they truly like what they do and they love dogs! They offer other services such as over night and longer term boarding, hence their name. They are a perfect option if you have to fly somewhere and didn't have time to make arrangements for your dog as they are right by the airport and even offer rides to and from the airport. If you have a pup and you travel, or you just want to get all their energy out on a cold wintery Sunday, consider Now Boarding!

Amazing staff, staffed 24 hours. Did everything they could to make my cat feel comfortable. Can't recommend enough!

Love this place! Have tried others for boarding our three dogs, and these guys are by far the best! Always friendly and accommodating; always giving our furry friends the best care possible. It is obvious that everyone there really cares about the dogs that they are caring for. It truly puts our minds at ease, not having to worry about our pups while we are away. KnowIng there is always someone there 24/7 and being able to call at any time for an update on how they are doing is a huge plus. We wouldn't trust our babies with anyone else!

Our first experience was generally quite pleasant. We dropped our cat off at 5am and used their First Class Ride service to park our car at Now Boarding and get a private ride to the airport. Upon returning, we were picked up from the airport around 11pm and taken back to Now Boarding, where we retrieved our cat and car and headed home. The First Class driver was a little late picking us up (this is a third party company NOT operated by Now Boarding) but I called NB and they were able to call the driver and have him update us on his arrival time. We were only ever in the facility either super early in the morning or super late at night, so I don't blame the staff for seeming a little sleepy (we were as well) The cat condo seemed a little small, not to the point that it was concerning, but I wish there was an option to upgrade to a larger unit. My only other complaint was that the website states to bring the animal's bed or a blanket to put in their condo so that they have some smells from home. I brought a blanket with us for the cat to have in his condo, but the staff never ended up putting it in his condo. I asked for an itemized receipt to be emailed to me and haven't yet received it, so I'll have to call back and get that sent over again. Not a huge deal, but just something to add to the post-vacation to-do list.

We have been taking our puppy here since we first got her, and it's honestly a completely amazing place! State of the art facility. They give you a tour when you first come in so you can see all the amenities, and have a great website where it's easy to book services. They are also open 24 hours so you can always call to schedule something. They have a great puppy play package for dogs up to 8 months old, and it's very affordable at about $30/full day of daycare. They also accept Apple Pay and can schedule you several months out at a time. I wish they didn't book up so quickly for boarding but they are super popular! So if you need to board your dog definitely book months in advance. Our dog loves it here and they take such good care of pets - she is completely exhausted every time she comes home from daycare :)

This is in no way indicative of the boarding services, their boarding is top notch. This review is about their daycare services. The daycare service is not horrible, but you can tell that there is a clear clique vibe. Unless you are a long time client it's nearly impossible to get in. The DC supervisor and DC lead seem like they're running the place more like a popularity contest rather than to actually care for our animals, treating the dogs they like with a lot more leniency and blaming anything that goes wrong on the dogs they don't like even IF one of their "favorites" are to blame. Now I've heard that they've stopped hiring for a full time daycare employee because the only people that applied didn't fit into their "clique" even if they were more than qualified. The daycare used to be really good but it seems like the quality has dropped off immensely in the past two years. If you're going for high class boarding then look no further than here, but if you want a good daycare experience go elsewhere.

Fantastic. Great. Feel safe leaving my golden retriever there. My dog was a rescue dog and she always was very nervous when you leave (barking). She was at first here, but with lots of petting, sitting with, hugging, playing she started to relax. Plus they put a curtain around to block out the ability to see others that partially cause my dog to bark more. Separation anxiety. But after the first few hours she calmed down and loved it there. Probably sad to go after a week.

Biggest benefit is the 24-hour access to the facility, which anyone who's boarded a pet before should realize is invaluable. Open lot parking and shuttle to and from the airport are pretty convenient, too. The place is brand-spanking new and the public facilities at least look nice - have no idea what the kennels are like, though. That being said...it's overpriced for what you get. The outdoor areas are lame - the front yard is a smallish fenced-in area with no tree cover whatsoever. The indoor play space is spacious. It's good to have the dogs able to socialize and play, but it costs extra...which is not the case at other kennels like Camp Bow Wow. Also, they'll charge for a half day if you pick up just one hour after a 24 hour interval, which is a total rip-off.

Very spacious and bright facility. Kind, attentive staff. Newly built so equipment is shiny and new. My dogs stayed there today and seem to have had a great time (tired now from all the free play in the romper room). 24/7 operating hours allowed me to not worry about flight delays and pick them up at 9pm - impossible at most dog boarders. Convenient shuttle for $14 parking fee. Prices are comparable to most doggie daycares (I typically use Downtown Dogs). I would def go to Boarding Now again!

Since all of these reviews are about dog boarding, I thought I would take a moment to review their cat boarding facilities. I know most people don't board their cats, and this is going to make me sound like a crazy cat lady, but my kitty doesn't do so great when "her human" is not around. The main thing is that she doesn't get along with my roommate's dog. So although my roommate is cool with feeding and keeping an eye on her when I'm away on business or vacation, having to take care of her own dog makes it complicated. It's better for all parties if I remove my kitty from the situation when I'm away for extended trips. I've used Now Boarding about 6 times during the past 1.5 years and they've all been positive experiences, though some have been more positive than others. To be fair, I haven't tried other places as there aren't that many places in the Twin Cities that take cats. The number one pro to them is convenience. They are reasonably close to my house and of course the airport. It's great that I can get off the plane at 8pm, pick kitty up, and head home. No other place in the twin cities that can match this level of convenience. Service-wise they are pretty good although I've noticed that sometimes they are more attentive than other times. Let me explain: Our first visit was a little over a month after I adopted her from the humane society. I think my cat thought I had "returned" her as she regressed a little. The only reason I know that is that the 2nd morning of my 5 day trip, I got a call that kitty hadn't eaten since she arrived the morning the day before and they wanted to know if it was ok if they gave her wet food. After okaying this, I received a call from them every 3-4 hours for the rest of the day. ("didn't work, can we try tuna", "she's eating again but no BMs", "she acting normal again", etc). Then they called me every day just to let me know everything was still ok. All without me prompting them which I thought was pretty cool. Made me think that if something went medically wrong, they would be very attentive. Kitty is still not the social butterfly of the place as she prefers undistracted 1:1 attention and needs to be coaxed a bit, but giving her the calming treatment the first day seems to help her adjust a lot. This "not eating" thing has not happened since but I can definitely tell that sometimes kitty gets more attention than other times because her report card always reflects it. If I get an undistracted, cat loving kennel attendant, her report card will say that "kitty was shy the first day" but once she realized "what nice head scratchers" they were she turned into a cuddlebug, which is the personality I know her to be. If I get a distracted employee with little cat experience, her report card will say that kitty was a sad antisocial soul who never came out of her kennel. To me this is only marginally better than her getting into fights with my roommate's dog if she had stayed at home. :/ To be fair, this has only happened 2 of the 6 times but it makes me think that kitties aren't really their priority. If there were a more options, I might try other places, but I think this would be the case at any place that also boards dogs so its not a deal breaker, it's just my reason for only giving three stars. Facility & cost-wise, they are the best value. It's hard to get my kitty into her carrier so they always escort me back to get her myself meaning I've seen the setup of the whole places a few times. It's always super clean and calm. The kennels are a good size and well maintained. The kitty play area is a pretty good size too. And their cost is fairly comparable to other places. (I think in my internet searching I only found one other place that was cheaper for cats and it would have involved an hour's drive each way with a yowling cat). So for now, I'll keep coming back but I really would love to see other options for cat boarding.

Updating my previous review - we had a chance to use both of our preferred boarding facilities within a couple of weeks of each other with travel over Thanksgiving and the first weekend of December. Upon observing our dogs after each boarding stay its clear that our dogs are happiest at Now Boarding. At the other place (not Now Boarding) our dogs came back with some behavioral issues: Tofu had reverted some to his scared, submissive self (a lot of cowering when ever we were standing near him, submissive urination when we would ask him to sit, and a serious avoidance of his crate). But when they both came back from Now Boarding, it was clear that they were happier - they seemed like the well-adjusted dogs that we had dropped off. We'll be going here first from now on - and making our reservations early enough that hopefully we'll be able to get in.

24 hour access and close to airport a huge plus, but that wouldn't be enough if they didn't take good care of the dogs. Our 4-year old vizsla has boarded there at least 6 times and is excited to go every time. She knows when its time to go - our suitcases are a tip-off and can barely contain herself. When she comes home, she's excited to see us, tired, but appears to have had a great time. Are people seriously concerned that their dogs have to pee when they are excited to see them after boarding?

Great addition to the area, as it seems most doggie day cares / boarding places are too far away for us to use them. Not only do they board pets overnight, but they have a deal with the airport, so you can park your car there (for a fee) and take a shuttle to the airport after you drop your little buddy off! Get it..."Now Boarding." We've been taking our dog for doggie daycare, and they do a great job with our very shy dog. There's a big open playroom, and access to a small fenced in area where they take the dogs throughout the day. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and clearly care about the animals. The price for a 10-visit package is very reasonable, and they offer other services like grooming, though I thought the price for that was pretty high. There's no doggie webcam, which is kind of a bummer. But, I'm sure my employer is grateful that I'm not watching my dog hang out there all day (which I'd probably do if they had cameras.) My understanding, too, is that Now Boarding is run by the Humane Society, so much of (if not all) profits go to benefit animals in need. Nice!

I have used Now Boarding for boarding my cat when I travel many times and, unlike other boarding experiences, it has been a very positive for both my cat and for me. I have also used their parking service which is fabulous. My cat, R., is comfortable there and settles into the routine easily and quickly. He comes home happy - though he definitely misses me while I'm away. This was not the case at several other boarding places we tried when coming here. They are open 24x7 and it seems like I am usually dropping off at 4 am and picking up a midnight - but they are always there and always delightful to deal with. I find their front desk staff to be very friendly and efficient and, indeed, it seems like they know us. The facility is spotless and utterly odor free (very unusual in boarding facilities elsewhere in my experience) AndI love that I can book appointments online and that there is a discount for extended stays - both in parking rates and boarding rates. All in all, we are loyal Now Boarding folks, and would not take R anywhere else.

I've never kenneled my dogs at Now Boarding but I take my lumbering yellow lab to doggie daycare all the time and he loves it. The play area is big and spacious, the outside area is way bigger than Downtown Dogs and the peeps are very friendly. Daycare prices are pretty reasonable and you can do a half day which is nice. The application process is somewhat rigorous (what I imagine its like getting your kid into daycare) but you feel better knowing that they do a good job screening the other dogs since you plan to leave your precious pooch in their hands. Thumbs up for day care at Now Boarding!

We brought our 8.5 month old boxer to Now Boarding for an overnight stay while we were in a wedding. We needed someone last minute to watch her, so we were somewhat limited in where we could take her. Chloe really seemed to enjoy her stay. She came home excited to see us, but tired.. and she slept the entire morning after we picked her up. It takes a lot of play to have Chloe that tired, so we were grateful for that! I love that Now Boarding is open 24 hours a day - it was helpful when we were calling late at night to find a place for her to go. We didn't have to do any odd hour drop off/pick up, but I can see myself appreciating this in the future. I didn't see her actual kennel/personal space, but the website photos look great. The check-in process was great, and incredibly fast. When my husband left after dropping her off, he could see her running in the outdoor play yard - I love that they have this! When we picked Chloe up, the staff gave us a "report card" - which to some might sound ridiculous, but I was so grateful for it! I love hearing how Chloe did away from us and it saved me having to ask a bunch of questions about how well she played, if she sat when asked, how much food she ate and... etc. I wish they had webcams - that was the one thing that had my husband hesitating to use Now Boarding - most of the other doggy daycare/kennels seem to have that. Adding these would be a huge bonus - I hope they do so in the future.

My dog Sophie has been going to Now Boarding for a year now, both daycare and kenneling. The staff is so loving to her and she has a blast when she is there. They are quick to react if your animal gets sick (which mine did - not due to anything at the facility), and they eased my stress of being away while she was sick with many updates. Can't say enough good things about the care here!

The worst part about traveling is not being able to take my dog along but I know he is always safe when I leave him at Now Boarding. The convenient location next to the airport means I don't have to go out of my way to bring him in - they even offer transportation to the airport if you like! The space is clean and I like that Blue has his own private area to wind down. The fact that they can accommodate drop off and pick up at any time is a huge plus!! The staff is always friendly and I love getting to read his report card after I pick my dog up.

Cons: Kind of cold and impersonal. We're used to boarding at Golden Valley where we know the employees and they know our dog. Here, our dog was carted away by someone who didn't even greet us...I was nervous because our dog was dog-aggressive and this stranger didn't get any info beforehand since I was in the process of filling out the intake form. Pros: Frosty Paws!!! Ultra-Mega-Pros: I got a call late in the afternoon that my Dad had a heart attack and I needed to leave town within a couple hours, Golden Valley was booked up so we called Now Boarding. After I explained the emergency situation, they let us come right in with our dog even though you're supposed to fill out an online form first, etc. I'm SO grateful for that!

We have been extremely happy with Now Boarding. They have done an outstanding job with our field bred English Cocker. We board her there when we travel, use their doggie daycare, and have had obedience lessons (for her not for us although we may need them also). Now Boarding is associated with the Animal Humane Society so your dollars are supporting a good cause. The staff members are helpful and friendly. They love dogs and we feel absolutely secure in leaving Sophie there. She likes it very much and when we drop her off for boarding and daycare she leaves us without a backward glance while we are trying to hold back the tears. In the past we used house/dog sitters but we had a few bad experiences and were always worried about our dogs' well being. We believe it is best to have a full time professional staff in an established facility. Now Boarding books up early so reservations need to be made reasonably far in advance. They offer a shuttle service to the airport and parking while you are gone but we haven't used these services.

We've boarded our 6 year old terrier at Now Boarding twice for long weekend stays and we have been very impressed. She is a wonderful dog, but anxious (she's a rescue). She's been part of our family for 6 months now and we wouldn't have boarded her this soon but we had to attend two family funerals in a short span of time, so we had no choice. We were more nervous than Roxy at leaving her there, but she did great. The staff was very patient with her and she seemed happy each time we picked her up. We love the "report card" summary of her stay, it really helps to know details of how she behaved. We feel comforted that she is safe there, and really appreciate that they are open 24 hours, so a delayed flight is not a problem. The staff is obviously very caring and conscientious, even calling to clarify behavior issues I described in the online reservation doc. They remembered her from her first visit, and made a nice fuss over her when we returned. Now Boarding is the best kennel we've used, and the prices are average from what we experienced with our previous dog. The parking and shuttle to the airport are nice options too. We highly recommend Now Boarding.

I can't rave about this place enough. We took our dog, Sampson to Now Boarding for 9 years and have referred a number of friends and family to this facility because of the great care they gave our dog. Sampson loved coming here and seeing all his friends; furry and otherwise. I say that because as soon as we said "where are we?" his head would pop out the window and tail would wag uncontrollably. He would nearly run to the door to see the staff and wouldn't even say goodbye half the time when he was being taken back because he was with his next favorite human. Sampson was very well cared for while he was there and the facility made sure to call if there were questions or concerns- which we really appreciated. Now Boarding has treated us like family. When Sampson passed we received a four page sympathy card where each person who worked with Sampson provided a heartfelt note- not a generic- so sorry for your loss. We will be using Now Boarding in the future and will continue to refer them.

I've used Now Boarding twice for my cats and have had a positive experience both times. Like most cats, mine don't love to travel or be away from home. At Now Boarding they seem to be well cared for and they have always been happy to come home. The facility itself appears to be very clean and doesn't smell like animals. Before I officially signed up with Now Boarding I did a tour so I could see the cat area. The kennels are standard size but there is a good size play area with toys and climbing equipment where they can play for 30 minutes per day. I've also used the parking and shuttle service to and from the airport. The first time they forgot to sign us up for the shuttle to the airport but called a taxi and covered the fare, so that was good. The way back from the airport we hopped on the super shuttle, picked up the cats at 11pm and went home. Anywhere else we would have had to wait until morning to pick them up. Would definitely recommend Now Boarding for any travelers with cats. I don't have a dog so I cannot speak to those services.

OMG we loved this place so much. Our dog goes everywhere with us and when we were in Bloomington for the Mall of America he needed a place for to stay for the day. They were so accommodating for us and our schedule change. Love the fact that when I walked in with my dog, the front desk lady knew who he was even though he had not been there before. She also remembered me when I returned to get him. That is amazing service in my opinion. It was also nice to get a "report card" on how he did while he was there from two attendants that played with him for 15 minutes each time. They offer so much right there including a shuttle to the airport, what a great idea! If we lived there, our dog would be a regular!

We love the convenience of Now Boarding. When traveling out of town by air, we always use the park and play package. It's clean, the staff are friendly, and most importantly our dog comes away happy and healthy! We have used the grooming services to, and he has come out smelling awesome with a shiny coat. We love the report card at the end of the stay, and the personalized comments about the experience.

Now Boarding provides amazing service. We all love it, especially our Kash! The 24/7 access is amazing. All the choices for Kash's stay allow him to have a fabulous time while he's there. The staff are amazing.

So the first time I did this review, it got filtered out. I'm not sure why, but I believe that as a customer who has utilized their boarding AND day care more than fifteen times it deserves to be published so I'm trying again... We've boarded our 2 dogs (a goldendoodle and a lab mix) here twice over the past year for long weekends, and neither experience has been very good. To make a long story short: Both times we have picked the dogs up they had to desperately go the bathroom as soon as we get outside. They clearly had not been out in a long time as our dogs are used to holding it for 10+ hours during the day while we are at work. Additionally, during this last visit, one of our beds was never provided for the dogs as when it came time to leave, the staff couldn't find it and had to go in the back and took several minutes before coming out with it all folded up and crinkled (mind you its a rather large and expensive bed). I don't know where it had been for the three days they were there, but obviously it wasn't in their suite so my dogs had to share a bed. Another con is that play time is not included - during this last stay, I had requested play time each day, but was told after we picked them up they could only have it one day due to day care being filled the other days. So basically for two of the days the dogs were stuck in their suite the whole time - not a very fun experience for them!! Additionally, our goldedoodle used to go to doggie day care here about once per week over the winter, until she caught kennel cough. She was vaccinated, however the vaccine doesn't cover all strands, so I understand it is a risk. However, Now Boarding knew that other dogs had kennel cough and still allowed day care to continue as normal. When I called them after our vet visit to notify them of her diagnosis, I was told that it was "going around". However, owners weren't notified until several weeks later when a mass email/newsletter went out. So, I'm sure some more dogs were needlessly exposed and more owners were out a couple hundred for the vet bill/medications. We had tried to give this place one last chance because it is super convenient (5 minutes from our house and open drop-off/pick-up times) Unfortunately with the bed debacle and the lack of bathroom breaks, and legitimate play time the convenience is not worth the worry and the poor care! We'll be finding another place from now on and I would suggest you do the same!

Convenient because I work at MSP. Very clean and open, airy space. We have typically day boarded our 2 cats as we haven't told our rental places we have cats, so when they need to come through for annual inspection, or for showing upon move-out, off they go. I love the Report Cards! Our one cat hates going there, doesn't come out of his cubby and it takes 5-10 mns to get him to calm down enough to get him back in his carrier, with him hissing and fighting it. They have been very patient with us lol. You can tell that all the staff love what they do.

We've boarded our rescue pit/lab mix here at least a half a dozen times and have always been happy with their service. Front desk staff are always friendly and even remember our dog - not bad for not seeing her for a few months. Love that we can drop off and pick up any time of day. Summer's can be difficult to get in on weekends, but I guess that just means it's a great place to board and others like it too. Thanks Now Boarding for being a good place for Doris.

*Not Boarding* PRO:I enjoyed the big fireplace in the lobby. CONS: If you like the idea of a sterile and heartless pet compound then bring your loved ones here. You'll enjoy the $$ "king suite" despite your confirmed (over the phone) reservations. The new client signup takes forever (three separate online forms plus a printed signed contract?) I didn't like waiting a long time to get my black lab back. Also, she didn't just whimper because she was glad to see me. It turns out she must have been injured at some point and now can't climb steps or jump without a lot of pain and yelping (no mention of anything when I picked her up.) Hopefully, she just had too much fun outside and won't have to go the vet tomorrow. There are so many other good boarding kennels!

PROS: It's near the airport and the logo is whimsical CONS: Oof, not sure what to say here. Either my experience was a complete fluke or I'm being totally unrealistic about what dog day care should consist of. First, there's no evaluation process. Which, admittedly, can be slightly off putting when all you want is to find a place to take care of your dog. Until you think about that statement. Someone to take care of your dog. I can understand if your dog is more akin to your lawn mower - goes into a shed and you take it out every now and again to do something (and there's nothing with that), but for someone like me - my dog is part of my family. I realize it's unlikely that someone else is going to care for my dog as much as I do, but it would feel nice if someone was at least a "dog person". In my few interactions with this place I didn't get that feeling. On the first visit, my dog got into an altercation with another dog which ended up with my dog getting bitten through the ear (there was literally a hole in her ear). My dog has gone to another doggy day care facility for nearly 6 months (over 20 times) and has NEVER, EVER had an issue of dog aggression or violence. Ok, so maybe I don't know my dog quite as well as I thought, or maybe she just happened to be in the wrong place at a the wrong time, who knows. I was willing to let that incident slide since who can tell what goes on in the minds of dogs. What happened next is what caused me alarm. After talking to my vet about the bitten ear, I was concerned about keeping it clean. So when dropping my dog off a day later I requested that she: A. be watched if the dog that bit her is around her and B. not be allowed to go outside to keep her ear clean. In the late morning someone called and informed me that they have a lot of dogs to watch and cannot make the accommodations that were requested, and that if I would like to pick up my dog I could. The delivery of the message had a tone that would have implied I was asking that they clear the entire facility for my dog. Considering what had occurred with my dog the previous time I honestly would have thought my request be the least that someone would ask, apparently I was wrong. I'm sure others have had different experiences, but I will never subject my dog to this facility again.

We have boarded our two dogs twice now.. first time for our wedding a year ago and last weekend for our friends wedding. i cant say i was overly impressed the first time when we picked them up and got them home, they both immediately peed, poo'd and slammed tons of water..but i figured it was probably because our dogs have never been boarded and they were slightly nervous. this time we came to get them a bit early as we got home earlier then expected. when we got there we were told their bedding was in the wash and it would be 3 minutes. 10+ min later they came back with just stuffing and foam and said that the cover would be a bit longer as the dryer hadnt stopped and they couldnt open it up? my hubby asked what the problem was, they said they urinated on their bed this morning. which was very confusing considering the fact that they can hold their pee 14+ hrs when we are gone for work etc and they only pee twice a day!!!! did they not take them out!?! not to mention the fact that they gave us a bed in pieces? very confused as to why they took the stuffing out of the bed, wouldnt that have pee on it too? also packed about 2+ days worth of food (they were at now boarding for 27 hrs) as they mention to pack a little extra in case we werent able to make it back on time... they fed them the entire bag of food!! they were sooo bloated when we got them home!! i made it very clear how much they ate when we dropped them off and expressed that i was concerned they didnt go potty etc when they were there the first time. the women at the desk was very nice and told me not to worry! needless to say i am not all that happy, i know that its difficult to be perfect but my dogs are super easy to take care of, never have accidents and if i paid $120 for people to over feed my dogs and not even take them out, i might as well just leave them at my house unattended and have them pee on their bed in the comfort of their own home. ugh!

My wife and I boarded our dog at Now Boarding on Christmas Eve and found the quality and service to be good. I thought their daycare cost was affordable and the facility itself to be very clean. PROS: Clean facility. I liked the way the kennels were designed. The kennels are arranged so that dogs can't see each other, which helps reduce anxiety and barking. I found it suprisingly quiet inside. I also thought their prices were fair. I don't really have a frame of reference for pricing but we paid $25 and thought it was a good deal. CONS: I had a similar experience as one of the users here - when we picked up our dog later in the evening he had to urinate almost immediately when we walked out the front door. This was our dog's first boarding experience, so the stress of being left alone for most of the day could've played a part in him holding it in. He was also pretty thirsty when we got home, which was odd because I know each dog suite has a refillable water bowl. Again, these things aren't necessarily the fault of Now Boarding, merely observations. Overall I would say that our experience was pleasant. One thing I wish they would do is to offer a brief tour of their facility for new clients. When we dropped off our dog I simply checked in and someone came to get my dog. It would've been nice for them to show me where exactly my dog was staying for the day. It wasn't until 2 weeks later that I went back and asked for a tour. *UPDATE 1/2/13* One new observation with Now Boarding is how difficult it is to get reservations for day care services. They were booked solid through the summer of '12 and also through fall/winter '12. I know I should plan in advance but I found it a little ridiculous not being able to board my dog when an emergency arises. It's hard to plan for unforeseen events and given their close proximity to my house they're naturally going to be my first pick. With that said, call ahead for day car availability.

I love Now Boarding, and the staff there clearly loves animals. My husband and I leave our dog and one of our cats at Now Boarding when we travel. Typically we take advantage of the parking option. Trixie is always happy and alert when we pick her up, and she doesn't show any anxiety when we leave her there. We always go home with report cards on how our girls did while we are gone, and I love that they are staffed 24/7. It's pretty clear that our girls are NOT starved for attention at Now Boarding. Maybe it's pricey, but you get what you pay for. Now Boarding gives us peace of mind when we travel.

Honestly, this is both my and my dog's FAVORITE daycare in the cities. She's an elderly pug and they give her a ton of attention and love. I always know she's well taken care of... Plus the facility is awesome and the staff are great. A++
