had such an enjoyable lunch experience here. everyone was so incredibly warm and welcoming and the food was delicious. it was also really cool to see them cooking on the stoves outside. we are staying in chania but this was well worth the drive

I was blessed with the experience of stumbling across this Cretan institution by accident. As a solo dinner I could not have been treated with more warmth and hospitality. I was aware of the reputation and I could not have been more impressed. This is a superb Cretan offering that comes from the heart with passion. Service was excellent, the food was full of authentic flavours. Easy going vibe and excellent interesting wine. I am astounded by any negative reviews. Exceptional family-run restaurant, high up in the hills. Most (all?) of the food (and the excellent natural red wine) is grown/reared on their organic farm, and cooked in traditional wood-fired pots. A place worthy of pilgrimage for SlowFood aficionados.

Authentic Cretan food cooked in traditional clay pots. We had a wonderful experience and the food and hosts were the best. Highly recommended.

Best goat and lamb i have ever had. Reasonable prices and friendly staff - this place is busy but you can understand why. Probably best to book in advance but they fitted the two of us in.

A true hidden gem in Chania, a humble restaurant with extremely fresh ingredients and a very humble chef. The food and hospitality is amazing. A must visit if you are in Crete as you will never find this experience anywhere else.
