"Birthday Suit Optional The name Nude Espresso might suggest something more racy than you find when you enter this Brick Lane coffee shop. However, if a perfect cup of coffee does it for you, then your pulse may race anyway. And not from the caffeine. Nude takes the creation of a good cup of coffee very seriously so this is the kind of shop for true connoisseurs, not those simply in need of a fix. From the website, "Obtaining the finest coffee is a labour of love. We scour the World hand selecting only the fittest, ripest green beans [...]. We grade them by eye and sort them before putting them through their paces [...]. Only then can they be tasted, blended and packaged, creating the perfect ingredient for a sublime sensory experience." I couldn't have said it better myself. Indeed, a cup of coffee at Nude lives up to the promise of being a sublime sensory experience. Nude really stands for stripping out anything unnecessary from the process of providing a truly excellent cup of coffee, and in simplicity that satisfies, Nude Espresso truly excels."
"The espresso here is serious: smooth, heady, and perfect on its own, which is why this café is always packed. In 2008, Nude's founders created their first café on Brick Lane, where they served ethically sourced artisanal coffee. Word spread, and the team moved to its current location on Hanbury Street, which also hosts a state-of-the-art roastery. Every cup served comes from beans roasted on-site by the industry's most eco-friendly roaster. There's also a sister café on Bell Lane. "
A brilliant little spot in Shoreditch, perfect for serious coffee lovers. The espresso is done to perfection, precise, rich, and full of character. They roast on-site, so it’s also a great place to pick up beans or learn a thing or two about coffee. Technically superb and refreshingly understated.

Very smart and varied selection of beans to buy, roasted locally in London. The staff were lovely, very attentive and friendly. Scenic spot for a coffee too.

Tried out this place off Brick Lane. Decor looks pretty cool. Got an oat flat white, a bit on the pricey side compared to other vendors - £3.90. However if you buy their coffee beans, you get a free coffee.
I thought the coffee was mediocre. Not sure what beans were used but found the flat white was more on the fruity side. If I go again, next time I will ask regarding the beans.

One of the best coffee roasters in London. Nice atmosphere seeing coffee is freshly roasted. Outstanding quality, but the price is quite high compared to other roasters in the market. If you buy a bag of coffee bean, you’ll get a free cup of coffee.

Love the coffee, the seating arrangement, and the choice of music, walked into “you were working as a waitress in a cocktail bar” yesterday which is super cool. Also love that they serve the Luscombe which is my favourite, however the Sicilian orange juice is no longer available 😭

Smell of coffee hits you as soon as you step into this shop. And the taste is great too. Unfortunately, not a lot of seating available to enjoy it hot. Though if you walk just a few minutes on either side, there are plenty of seating options.

A lesson in customer service.
I have been buying coffee from Nude for over 3 years. I buy their Filter coffee bags for home and get their espresso based drinks in store. I have always had a pleasant experience until today. I ordered a flat white (£3.90), paid, and as I was waiting for the barista to make it, I decided to have it iced instead. I had no idea that they charge their iced drinks at £4.50. The barista informed me of this but kindly decided not to charge me the extra 60p. As he was making my drink he explained the situation to the owner who was standing next to him. The owner then decides to bring the card machine to the waiting area and charge me the 60p by just shoving the card machine in front of me and without saying anything. Of course, I paid this, took my drink and left, certain that I will never return again. The absolute pettiness of the owner and his unfriendly attitude when he brought the card machine over, without saying anything, has completely put me off ever spending my money at his shop again. I hope the 60p was worth it.

Great coffee spot with plenty of seating (upstairs and downstairs) and a friendly service. The coffee serves mainly beans roasted just across the road at the Nude Roastery which has been operating since 2008.
Coffee is smooth and nutty (espresso blend) and the milk is from a local diary and produced specifically for baristas. Expect to pay around £3 for a 8oz latte which is pretty standard in London. Max size is 8oz.
There’s a good selection of pastries and vegetarian salads too.

December 8, 2018: Nude Coffee Roasters via Spitalfields Marketplace- - -These ladies made delicious coffee for me!!!!
FYI: I brought my own ESPRO P1 French Press, Double-Walled, Stainless Steel, Vacuum Insulated, Coffee and Tea Maker which the ladies placed Nude's ground, French roasted coffee at the bottom, pour hot water into it, pressed the French Press plunger downward, and I must declare the coffee rocked my jet lag into the ionosphere!
Thank you so very much for making my jet lag dissipate:
I shall return with my French Press Coffee Maker!

I was staying in an Airbnb about a couple doors down and my friends and I stopped here a few times throughout our stay in the morning. They have a decent selection of food of pastries and sweets to tickle your sweet tooth with you morning cup of Joe. I only had the coffee here, so I can't really rate how they taste.
The drinks are made to order and just hit the spot to start your day.
