We just moved to the neighborhood and this was our first stop for a pizza night after receiving our keys. Food was great. We wanted to dine in, however for a pick up and delivery spot, there are plenty of seats. We ordered a thin Large cheese pizza and cheese fries. The crust is top tier and the cheese is of good quality. (Not your squeeze neon lights) We are happy to be in this part of the neighborhood with many great food selections at the best service so far! We will come back for the deep dish!

I picked up this pizza to go and was so happy with the results. I got the butter crust and it tasted like pizano’s which is one of my favorite tavern style pizzas in the city. The sauce, pepperoni and cheese was good and the crust was perfect. The pepperoni was put under the cheese. This is going to be my go to local tavern style. I’ll have to try the deep dish at some point too. I’m not sure if I would eat inside because I live so close and it’s a tiny space but for take out it’s a no brainer.

Great pizza that is luckily close to my home. Albeit a little pricey, the quality was worth it. Picked up 30 min after the order was placed @ a clean restaurant with friendly staff. Wax paper kept it from sticking to the box - genius! Lol Ate: 9" Deep Dish w ButterCrust (a must) with Pepperoni and bacon - well done. Definitely get it well done for crunchier crust This is my new local Pizza Shop on snowy movie nights...

We love Nueva Italy and have been coming here since we first moved to Rogers Park in 2017. We get deep dish pizza so we can't speak to their thin crust but we always have a great pizza with friendly service.

Delicious pizza! The deep dish has a thick layer of cheese and the thin crust is nice & crispy. Lots of crust options (whole wheat, butter, extra thin, etc) and sauce is flavorful

This is always our go to pizza. Way better than any chain. They have one of my favorite red sauces.

Super picky about pizza. This pizza is way way better than Piquods pizza or any pizza I can think of. We have never gotten beyond the butter thin crust we love it so much. The sausage has fresh fennel in it which is so wonderful. The quality of the cheese is high and the tomato sauce has fresh tomatoes in it which makes it refreshing and fresh tasting. We LOVE this pizza. Also it come piping hot. We had to let it cool down the last time it was delivered! Not to rave, but this place really deserves (and is) to be really busy. You need to order early because on Friday and Sat they sell out. Everyone is ordering early and they only have so much capacity. Also, it's extremely reasonable price wise. This place is wonderful. We ordered the salad last time to go with our pizza not expecting much and it's was wonderful the lettuce was cold, crisp and everything in the salad was carefully cut and so nice the way they put it together. Keep up the good work! We really are so grateful to have found you. Would pick this over ANY famous pizza place in Chicago hands down. It's just better.

The reviews don't lie! I ordered a deep dish cheese pizza with butter crust, and it reminds me a lot of Lou Malnati's. My only qualm is that part of the bottom of the crust was mushy, like the moisture in the box settled at the bottom and soaked through. But that was only in a few spots and did not run my overall experience. I also enjoyed the cheese-stuffed breadsticks, a throwback to the Bosco sticks my high school lunchroom used to serve - hot oil dripping out and all!

The deep dish is fantastic, but the people at this little joint are the best! They made a slight error on my order and called me before I went to pick it up, admitted their mistake and made me another still within the time they first promised. Such gracious people that clearly put love into their food. By far the best deep dish in Rogers Park! Collect their coupon cards and get a free pizza too! I just love this place.

I was hesitant to place an order at first, but I am glad to have taken a chance and order from NUEVA ITALY! I ordered the vegetarian with Butter Crust and my toppings of choice were: mushrooms, onions, spinach, garlic and tomatoes. For our guests, we ordered the meat pizza and fried mushrooms. Our order was delivered right on time and was fresh and very HOT! With this cold weather, I figured it was going to be lukewarm, if not, cold. But I was surprised by how fresh and neat the deep dish was. An absolute must try! 5 Stars!

Ordered a large butter thin crust with mushrooms and beef/hamburger meat which is a double charge item. Hubby enjoyed it. I wished it was sausage but that's because its my go-to protein on pizza. Crust was good and crispy. Staff was super friendly. We'd give it a try again.

Hands down the best deep dish I have ever had! Sauce is delicious, fresh toppings and the crust is perfection. I'm not going anywhere else for deep dish. I seriously can't imagine a better place. I give credit where it's due and this is my go to place.

The thin butter crust pizza with fennel sausage topping is superb. They use a serious amount of of oregano forward sauce too. A standout pizza joint that belies its modest storefront appearance in an otherwise nondescript commercial stretch of Clark Street in Rogers Park.

Excellent crust! I like the whole grain thin, but am usually outvoted by my friends. Fresh ingredients. The salads are especially fresh and crispy. This is not a sit-down place, but the service and/or delivery is fast and friendly.

Seven years later and I'm still digging on their pizzas. This is the best knockoff Lou Malnati's you can get. Nowadays I'm sticking to their thin crust or extra thin crust styles with butter crust! Anytime we have a RP (Rogers Park) gathering, people hanging in the yard, late night fire, etc, someone will bring up pizza and an order to Nueva is placed. Twenty some odd minutes later and the pies are ready. The slices are gone too FAST! There are times we have had to place two orders in one night. Knock on wood we have never had a bad pie yet. Counter staff are courteous and helpful. Any negatives..? Their beverage selections could offer more than just the average soda pop. Also, at the counter you can see a coffee machine & a bottle of Nescafe instant coffee. They have said in the past the machine doesn't work and the Nescafe is for workers. I suggested once, if they were to offer a cup of fresh Nescafe coffee or Cafe de Olla, that'd be something unique to offer. Back to the coffee machine, I'm part of that camp that believes if it's not available to customers it shouldn't be within view. (Potato/Potatoe. Just a minor nothingburger mention.) Try the pizza.. It's nice to have Nueva as an alternative which has stayed in our pizza rotation. Folks at Chicago Magazine put in their top 25 and recommended their extra thin crust. Just ordered their extra thin (regular) and extra thin wheat to try - both are great, but I enjoyed their thin crust already. Now I'll have to have them side by side to really decide. Tips learned since: - yep specials during the week - different large thin crusts with different toppings Mon-Thu, or get a Large Thin Cheese for $9.99, or Medium thin two toppings for $9.99 - if you go half toppings on a pizza, you'll still be paying the price of a full topping, so you might as well go full toppings, or get two smaller pizzas instead - coupons in their menu will knock another $2 off of a $30 order Call in your order to get the specials and you get any of your questions answered by the friendly staff there.

When we saw all of the recent reviews for this place we were encouraged and tried a new pizza spot - we were proved wrong. The crust that everyone seems to love (buttery, crispy) was basically the only redeeming thing about the pizza. The sauce was zesty and sweet with no real actual flavor, the cheese and sausage were subpar. The stuffed cheese bread were literally store bought 'bosco sticks' with some parmesan sprinkled on top. Caesar salad has a Caesar dressing that tasted more like ranch than Caesar, but at least the lettuce and croutons were fresh.

Arrived before the estimated time, super hot, crust was cooked to perfection and very tasty. I will most definitely order again.

This is really just a carry/out delivery type place. The pizza is excellent, regular or amazing butter crust. The other food items have failed to impress me, but that's OK because the pizza is sooooo good!

I'm a thin crust person, let me tell you. Every time it's just so flakey and perfect. I rarely eat pizza because of what I do for work; for me it's a real treat to get the pizza I like close to home and at an affordable price.

This was some of the worst pizza I've had in my 34 years of living and growing up in Chicago. The pictures on the website and Yelp listing lead you to believe it will be classic, greasy, pub cut pizza, when in fact it is a crunchy flavorless crust, topped with sauce that can be found in any $2 grocery can, but the worst part was easily the cheese, a thin layer and barely melted. I ate one small triangle piece and let the rest sit. Absolutely a waste of money. Do not order from here.

I ordered because of the reviews. My delivery came on time, but for the price, I was expecting more. The pizza was rather dry, don't know if it was because of delivery, but my homemade pizza is the best! I won't be ordering any pizza anymore.

Nueva Italy is one of my two go-to spots for #sundaynightpizzanight. Pan cheese every time. Kind of a Lou Malnati's vibe to it, but better. Keep it up Nueva!

I like the fact that they have specials and that they're one of the few places with whole wheat crust pizza.

If you drive down Clark too fast you may miss it, however this small pizza shop is making some of the best thin and deep dish pizza in the northeast side of Chicago. They offer delivery so if you live in the area give them a try. The couple of times I've ordered delivery the pizza was still very hot! The ingredients are fresh and there's the right balance of sauce to cheese. I can almost guarantee you won't be disappointed!

The burger is surprisingly good, I guess I'd describe it as a way better Whopper. The deep dish pizza is ok. I like that the crust has some tartness to it, almost like a sourdough. But in general it seemed the sauce lacked seasoning. Adding oregano, garlic, chili pepper flakes, and salt really improved it. Prices are more than reasonable.

We ordered 3 thin pizzas: * Spinach and cheese * cheese * Sausage, mushroom, and onion The sauce was flavorful. They use fresh produce and the sausage was a good balance of salt, oil, and herbs. The crust was crisp and buttery as described. Nueva was a nice surprise and it was great to discover a new spot in my area. Will definitely order again.

Excellent buttery thin crust. To me a true pizza is if it can be eaten cold the next day and this pizza is delicious cold.

I've been searching for a pizza better than Lou Malnati's and I think I've finally found it! I had both the deep dish cheese and thin crust with black olives (butter crust on both) and man did it hit the spot! The butter crust was delicious and crunchy and each slice had just the right amount of cheese and sauce. So much flavor. New favorite pizza spot right in my neighborhood. Will definitely be ordering from them again soon!

Best deep dish on the north side! Delivery has always been prompt. Whatever ingredients you choose, make sure to get the butter crust! Worth it!

This is the real deal Chicago pan pizza in my opinion, it is truly something unique to the city and not simply focaccia style dough cooked with pizza ingredients in a pan like you see at other places. This has the unique smell, taste and mouthfeel of Chicago pan pizza, better than any of the chains. Super high quality ingredients and consistency put them above the rest. This is a gem

Love this pizza. My standing pizza order is pretty standard: 1. Thin Crust 2. Onion 3. Sausage 4. Mushroom 5. Basil The crust on their pizza is almost like a corn bread crust - but not quite. There might be some kind of meal in it. I love the texture and taste as it stays crunchy upon delivery and is not a thin cracker crust. The pizza always comes at a good temperature and is very tasty. I highly recommend this joint for some local Friday night 'za or anything else on their menu. Give it a shot. You won't be disappointed.

Ordered in a deep dish pizza from here. It was hot and it was just the right amount of cheesy. It's not Lou's but it does hit the spot. Part of the bottom of the pizza was burnt and inedible so I ended up just eating the top part of those slices. There were so many toppings and they were perfectly spread out, I tasted everything with every other bite. There was plenty left over that was eaten over the next 2 meals. It was a bit pricey. I'd say it's more of 3.5 stars.

THIS is our replacement since GrillInn on Morse/Glenwood closed. Solid burgers, good chicken tenders, consistently good fries, and amazing mozzarella sticks. Always friendly delivery, and on-time or early. Still waiting on trying their pizza, but it'll happen!

I've now ordered several times from Nueva Italy, and they are my go-to pizza in the neighborhood. It's all about the crust-- deep dish or thin, it is always excellent. On time delivery and good prices.

Sad to find that Lou Malnati's didn't deliver past Hollywood, I hopped on yelp to find a suitable replacement. Sure, the ratings were good, but I have been fooled by good rating before. We ordered a large thin-crust pizza with extra pepperoni and cheese. As others have mentioned, the crust is nice and buttery, very reminiscent of Lou's, but it held it's own. Delivery was quick enough for a rainy Saturday night, and the price was under $30. This is great pizza place located in north Chicago.

You guys are going to think I got paid for this review, but I didn't! I'm writing this now as I just stuffed another slice in my mouth. I was on the hunt for some deep dish pizza, Lou malnati's doesn't deliver to me, so I did a Google search, this place appeared, saw a few google reviews but it was a picture of a deep dish pizza that sold me! I placed my order instantly online which was so awesome doing! Prices are great, the delivery man was a sweetheart, and they package my pizza with love! I'm sold on this place. I had to see how far it is from me and it's near walking distance. Even better because delivery & tip was kind of steep for a 15 dollar purchase but it was worth it!

We are moving out of Rogers Park, and Nueva Italy is going to be one of the things I miss the most about this neighborhood. Consistently good pizza, their thin butter crust is awesome and their deep dish is better than Lou's. A few years ago, I accidentally placed a Grubhub order for pickup when I meant to order delivery. They contacted me when I didn't show up to pick up my pizza and they offered to make me a fresh pizza, even though it was my fault! I will miss this place!

LOVED the Butter Crust! Great crispiness without being TOO crispy and generous fresh Toppings!! Delivery was fast, pizza hot and cut into perfect squares! I was very very impressed and do HIGHLY Recommend this Pizza Place. Cannot wait to try more morsels and discover more happiness ! Money well spent indeed!!

I tried Nueva Italy for the first time during Taste of Clark Street last fall and have been ordering from here ever since. The thin butter crust pizza is delicious. Even the small pizza is a good amount for two people, especially with a side of zucchini sticks. Love this Rogers Park pizza place!

Located on clark and touhy, this small pizza place has the best thin crust pizza. 20$ covers a pizza for two and fries. I honestly love this place and have been a proud customer since 2013 of December. :) if youre looking for a friday night meal this is the place. Befriend the delivery guy theyre the best! I also ordered during the polar vortex and the delivary guy was so nice to walk out in the darn cold and hand over my order. Humble hard working people. :D

This is my favorite local pizza place. Not only are they in the neighborhood and friendly (not as common as you would think), they actually tend to get you your pizza in around 40 or 45 minutes. Their butter crust and toppings are excellent. Overall we've ordered from these folks quite a few times. I have not had a bad experience with them.

I'll give this place two stars because the thin crust is usually pretty decent. Ordered a sausage mushroom deep dish pizza today and they forgot the sausage. Tough. On top of that, they apparently forgot half the pizza sauce, which is a pretty big indicator that you don't know how to pizza. Last time I called these knuckleheads they tried telling me I was out of their delivery zone, so me thinks maybe they delivered this bloodbath on purpose to deter me from ordering in the future. Well, it worked.

OMG! I wish I had taken a picture of what I ordered. Not only was the pizza and wings I ordered delicious the presentation of the both of them, even after being delivered to me, was beautiful! This place came up as a suggestion on Yelp while I checked the reviews of some of the other places I've ordered from like JB Alberto's, Giordano's and Lou Malnati's etc. I just wasn't feeling any if them and I didn't want to pay a million dollars for a pizza and wings. I was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the Meat Lover's Pizza and Wings (half BBQ, half Buffalo). I was very happy and I will definitely be ordering from them again!!!!
