Ponant's Le Commandant Charcot Cruise Ship Review

"The ship’s formal dining room, billed as the only Alain Ducasse restaurant at sea, serves ever-changing menus that blend classic French technique with contemporary flavors; dishes on the reviewer’s voyage included standout items such as lobster with beets and hibiscus, veal tartare with haricot verts, and prawn ravioli with carrot and ginger, and the cooking generally lived up to the chef’s endorsement." - Paul Brady Paul Brady Paul Brady is the news director at Travel + Leisure and the brand's expert on cruise travel. Nikkei Cuisine Heads to Houston In a Major Way | Eater Houston

"Coming to Bravery Chef Hall this summer, Nuna Nikkei Bar will be led by Andes Cafe chef David Guerrero and will blend Japanese techniques with the flavors and ingredients of South American cuisine; Guerrero says he loves Peruvian food—especially ceviche, which is the inspiration—and, as an Ecuadorian, notes the strong Japanese and Asian influence on his culture and the similarities between Peru and Ecuador. Guerrero isn't ready to reveal menu details yet but is likely to follow in the footsteps of Nikkei pioneer Nobu and will stage in Lima at what he describes as the world’s best Nikkei restaurant. Nuna is expected to debut at Bravery Chef Hall in July." - Amy McCarthy

Google
Food wise I though it would be better. Don't get me wrong, food was still very good but I found myself comparing dishes to other restaurants that had a better version of the dish in my opinion. It is a nice location and ambiance is very nice. Service was impeccable and very attentive.

Google
Only 2 dishes out of 7 were remarkable, the rest mediocre food. This chef has an amazing place in Lima, Peru, but Nuna doesn’t even come close. We even got sick. Typical Miami trend, nice photos, bad food.

It is a pleasure to share my thoughts on the experience at nuna. The atmosphere created within the establishment is truly unique and inviting. The quality of service and food provided is consistently attentive and professional. The culinary offerings are creative, delicious, and well-presented. Overall, it is a delightful place that I would recommend.

It was indeed a culinary experience… we were warmly welcomed and brought on a journey from appetizers to desserts, it was hard to choose! The staff were extremely knowledgeable and executed with so much flair… food was of course - AMAZING! We will definitely be back.

Our experience at Nuna was 100/10. Food was exquisite and flavors were balanced just perfectly. We were welcomed with champagne by our server. We ordered the salmon nigiri, tiger prawn & shrimp tempura and wagyu & truffle dumplings to start with; all were delicious but specially the salmon nigiri which you can feel how it melts in your mouth. Cocktails Nuna pisco and Wabi Sabi were so yummy. Hamachi tiradito paired with their leche de tigre was very tasty as well, their chicharron Branzino as our main course was out of this world. And to end the night we ordered their most popular dessert Cacao, delicious. This restaurant is a must in Brickell area, definitely will be coming back!!!

Google
Jaime Pesaque is an amazing chef, location it’s stunning, food is very good a bit overpriced.now it definitely needs ambience music, energy. Apart from that food is very good. Certainly would recomend, Arroz con mariscos, truffle gyosas. Ceviche Nuna. The rolls, too much rice, short on protein. The chocolate dessert is way too much chocolate.

Dinner at NUNA was everything I could have hoped for from this concept! The menu was unique and gave me something different to look forward to in Miami. The dumpling is exquisite and the best thing to order on the menu.

Google
We had a great experience at Nuna last night. Roger was super attentive and food was delicious. I love that they validate the valet parking (reduced cost) if you dine at the restaurant. We also had drinks at 1435, delicious! Thank you to Hilda and Alex as well!

Yelp
I came to Nuna on a date night  inside the  Four Seasons Brickell, and while the atmosphere was upscale and inviting, I had a few mixed experiences. Valet parking was the only option, and $40 for two hours felt steep, though I guess it's expected for the course at a Four Seasons. Self-parking was available a couple blocks away, but it was a bit of a walk. The food was good, but not outstanding -the ceviche had a nice kick and was my favorite dish.  And the steak in the lomo was very tasty and cooked just the way I like it . I'm not a dessert person, but I did have a bite of the meringue on ice which was very interesting. Not your typical dessert. However, the service was slow, with about an hour wait for food on a relatively quiet Wednesday OK night. Drinks were also pricey, with my old-fashioned made with Maker's Mark costing $25. Overall, the vibes were great, but I'd probably skip the pricey parking and drinks next time.

Yelp
This place actually popped up on my Instagram feed, and the food looked so good I couldn't resist making a reservation to check it out. Nuna is located inside the Four Seasons Hotel in Brickell which is one of several restaurants there but this one sits on the 7th floor. Our waitress mentioned it only opened in June, so it's still fairly new. The chef, Jaime, is an award-winning Peruvian chef whose restaurant ranked 43rd best in Peru, and he's now brought his culinary experience to Miami. It was a cool, breezy Miami night, so we sat outside on the patio overlooking the city. The view was beautiful, and the cozy fireplaces made it the perfect spot to relax after dinner with a drink. I went with a refreshing cocktail which i loved while my boyfriend ordered the miso old fashioned. He wasn't a fan of it and ended up switching to a regular one instead. To start, we shared the bluefin tuna tacos and the nuna ceviche. The ceviche was easily our favorite dish of the night...it had scallops, octopus, shrimp, and crispy calamari in a rocoto leche de tigre that was both spicy and citrusy. Such a great combination of flavors. For mains, we ordered the surf & turf salado, which came with truffle potato fries..everything about this dish was perfect, from the steak to the sauce to those fries. We also tried the pork belly udon noodles, made with shrimp, crispy vegetables, and a rich nikkei sauce which was also delicious. For dessert, we went with the Peruvian flan, drenched in a honey like sauce and incredibly flavorful. We also tried the kakigori, which was really unique.. ot was like a light lychee meringue over crushed ice with a creamy center. It was airy, refreshing, and different from anything I've had before. My only complaint was that the service was a little on the slow side, but overall, we had a wonderful meal and a nice experience. Definitely a spot I'd recommend if you're looking for a beautiful ambiance, city views, and creative Peruvian inspired dishes in Brickell.

Yelp
The server starts out by telling you this restaurant in Peru is 39th in the world, and while good, did not meet that benchmark for me, food wise. Nuna is beautiful, and the service is great. The server replaced my spoon twice as soon as he put it down because there was a mark on it he didn't like, and I appreciate that. For me, the appetizers stole the show. They made a much greater impression than the entrees. The amouse bouche was a nice touch- half the table liked it, the other half called it salty fish broth. The tuna tartar was very fresh, cold, and tasty. The wagyu dumplings were delicious! I wanted more of them. We did the miami spice menu, which for the price, is a great deal when looking at the regular menu. The ceviche is large and tasty, though spicy. The tuna taco was far and beyond better than the ceviche, and definitely the winner here. As far as entrees go, nothing wowed us. The arroz con mariscos was cooked well, but in the same sauce as the ceviche and I feel like the server should have told us it would be very very similar to our ordered appetizer so we could have switched it up. The saltado was basic, nothing stood out though the meat was cooked well. I've had better at cheaper places. The flan was good, the meringue was unique, but nothing I'd order again. All in all, the place was good, not great. I wouldn't spend the money paying regular price to come back here.

Yelp
Just so amazingly good. Nuna might be the best restaurant in Brickell. The bluefin ceviche blew me away. The chicharrón fish -- mind blowing. THE OYSTERS. Oh my goodness. They have really awesome cocktails and a lovely ambiance as well.

Yelp
Brickell gained a breathtaking Nikkei restaurant at the 4 seasons and not only is it gorgeous but it has masterful drinks that are both delicious as they are beautiful like the chowa and the Sakura which took me back to Sakura season in Japan. The chicken and miso yakitori was quite the show as it arrived sizzling on its grill to the table. The bluefin tuna tacos are perfectly crisp and I don't know kind of sorcery they use for their taco shells bet surprisingly didn't crumble with each bite. The Nuna ceviche is a slightly spicy ceviche with a mix of rocoto and leche de tigre with a special crisp brought on from the crispy calamari rings. Choosing a main dish was difficult, the arroz on mariscos is extremely creamy and packed with seafood. The pork belly udon is a gorgeous noodle dish sweet and sour sauce that can easily be transformed to vegetarian if needed. The surf and turf saltado served with quail eggs and perfectly crisp potatoes sprinkled with truffle. Elegant and elevated. We ended with an ultra sexy crema volteada which is the Peruvian version of flan and the ultra light but equally gorgeous kakigori. If you haven't made a reservation yet, what are you waiting for? PS! They have a miami spice menu.

Yelp
Great spot! Plates are shareable. Make sure you go inside the hotel and take the elevators to the 7th floor to find the restaurant.
