solid deli / convenience store located on Avenue A. everything from snacks and candy to some grocery and household items are sold here along with the deli + grill offerings. medium-sized spot, organized and fairly clean. NY Grill also offers delivery via most delivery apps. got “Scooby Doo” sandwich, which is chicken cutlet hero with bacon, jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. the sandwich was fine/okay but it had way too much mayo for me, in general but it was solid. however the real winner was the curly fries i ordered, too. the fries were nice, crunchy, and not greasy. carby fried goodness. the “Scooby Doo” sandwich was $8ish and the curly fries were $4. staff are quick and efficient.

Excellent customer service. Great food. During the night you get to talk about soccer with employees. Hope I get back.

I went there earlier this year and I can say that this is hands down the best deli in Manhattan. The cashier was a cheerful, welcoming and lovely person, the atmosphere and the food were the icing on top of the cake. 100% sure I'll go back there again soon.

Awesome breakfast sandwiches with high quality bagels. The chicken salad did not look fresh so I didn't try that but the breaded chicken looked great.

The worst deli experience I've ever had. I ordered online and their system sent it to a completely different location and when I went in to pick up my order, they said there was nothing they could do. I showed them that I ordered it to their location and that my credit card was already charged and they didn't do a thing. Their ordering system also said I would receive a confirmation email, and I did not. So not only did they send my order to a different location, I couldn't even prove I bought it because they didn't send me a confirmation email. Because of their poor management and lack of understanding, I got no food and got charged anyway. Thieves! -Their response to my review is incorrect. If you click on their location on google maps, go to the website listed to order, choose your location, and place an order it very well could still end up at the wrong location. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS DELI.

Get the chopped cheese, add jalapeños. Some of the guys working the grill put more love into making the sandwich that others, but you can't find and better, quicker and cheaper meal in the area.

Corner bodega with an ATM and efficient deli counter. Recommended! For years, I stopped in this bodega just to use their ATM. The cashier and I developed a rapport, and I waved to the deli counter workers. Masha - their badass bodega cat - roams the store and relaxes on the sidewalk out front. I give the kitty pets, and go on my way. Finally, one evening I got to try a bunch of their sandwiches. Friends were hungry and we happened to be nearby. We ordered a bunch of hoagies (you know, sandwiches) and they were delicious. I have a soft spot for Italian hoagies, and they made it to spec, and super fast. Paid with a credit card since we ordered enough food to feed a small family.

Ordered a sandwich that had a fly. I was sharing my sandwich with my 7 month old and when I pulled a black olive to give to her o bit into it to break it and when I went to pass it to her it smelled weird so I mushed it with my finger and found the fly. I almost fed my daughter a fly. Super disgusted. Also , not the first time my sandwiches have tasted weird... who knows what I've eaten.

It's a grab'n go spot. They're fair and the food taste good. It's usually crowded for pick up orders.

This is my go to deli for a sandwich for lunch. Love the Yankees sandwich which is grilled chicken with mayo lettuce and tomato. Many other sandwiches like Pastrami and Mets are up to standard too.

Best deli I've been to in a while. They literally sell everything. During Covid I feel like I ordered just about every day. They really get your comments right on any changes you want to make to the menu item. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and Smoothie 3 times in a row this week. Always hit and done how I ask.

Don't waste your time coming here because chances are they're going to mess up your order. I've never left a bad review on any business before but I've come here too many times and had the staff mess up my order to not complain. Today I'm eating a dry sandwich because the staff ignored me when I asked for oil and vinegar which should be a super easy request. The place is really tiny and always super crowded around lunch time, which would be fine if the employees listened it your order but they're so focused on getting you to pay and get out that they don't. There's one guy that's also just pretty rude and seems like he doesn't care so that doesn't help! I could definitely see them cutting corners when it comes to food prep too. The cashier is always nice but there are better delis in the area - this place just isn't worth it.

This was pretty good! Small place but I enjoyed the seasoning and everything tasted fresh. Great place to get a smoothie too.

I had the chicken over rice and the hamburger with fries. Chicken over rice was lower than average compared to other chicken over rice that I've had. The fries were soggy. Delis already aren't great quality but some delis have better made to order food than others. I'd try other things from them but I wouldn't get their chicken over rice or their hamburger and fries.

Awesome workers here - Get the lamb over rice!! Absolutely amazing late night food. The veggie mix they put in there is great, and the lamb is lean and cooked well.

Honestly, I was looking forward to eating from this spot. Everything on their menu seemed great. I ordered BBQ wings but instead I received plain wings. I paid and extra dollar for a cup of BBQ sauce and instead they sent me every sauce except BBQ. . . What they should of done was called me and notified me that they were out of BBQ sauce and asked what flavor I wanted instead or offered me to try something else on their menu. I would of been happy to do so. However, since they said nothing and just gave me anything , i will NO LONGER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN .

The Villager!! Love this place, there is probably 7 other delis that are closer to me but my experience has been bleak for most of them. I had started to believe the 'good' corner deli was just a myth until I tried NY Grill & Deli. Open 24 hour, crazy fast delivery at 3am. Can't testify for any of the other sandwiches but the 'Villager' is definitely a winner. It's the large, cheap and easy go-to sandwich you wish every deli had.

Super clean/ brand new, food is really good. The sandwiches are made fresh! One of only places in area to get quick breakfast or salads. Delicious and fresh food!

This is definitely what you imagine as a NY bodega. Anything that you need or want is right there. The deli always hits the spot. BEC's, paninis, wraps etc.

Best chopped cheese and mozzarella sticks in East Village. Staff is the best too - super funny guys and always remember me.

These guys delivered to some other address and when I called for a refund after learning this, they kept insisting that they delivered to me. 2 hrs wasted and no food, and they had the nerve to keep questioning me.

Pretty much the backbone of my life at the moment. Pop in for breakfast: egg and cheese with avocado and chipotle mayo is made by the nicest guys and you're in and out in 10 minutes max. Lunch or dinner get a chipotle Philly, chicken cutlet sandwich, whatever and boom same thing. Service is great, food always hits, pretty much the perfect neighborhood spot. I'm literally in here every day.

Holy fuck, stumbled here in the middle of the night and ordered and bacon egg and cheese. The bread was nicely toasted and crunchy, the cheese melted beautifully within the eggs and the bacon was freshly grilled. This is actually the best BEC I've ever had. Will DEFINITELY come back. If you're reading this, I am drunk.

I never take for granted the endless possibilities of deliver. 8pm and craving pastrami?, why of course. Hot, lean meat & cheese on a fresh hero delivered in 30 minutes. Fries were slightly undercooked but hot and thicker cut as I like. The slaw was a vinegar vs mayo based, not my fave. Overall,solid deli and recommend for a quick meal.

Food poisoning. Extreme Vomiting as soon as food was consumed. Really, really, really dangerously sick. Do not order from here.

We used Grubhub to deliver breakfast and sandwiches. Everything was really good, and delivery was faster than promised.

Was so hungry when I arrived in NYC; decided to order from Grubhub. Big mistake! I ordered from NY Grill a sandwich, drink, extra pickles, mozzarella sticks and onion rings. I ordered the last two because I had to meet a minimum order. :( What I got was a sandwich with the fried mozzarella sticks and fried onion rings IN the sandwich. So disgusting. The sandwich was inedible and I had to throw it out. The pickles were limp and soggy no crunch whatsoever. Don't order from here. In fact, I think they owe me a refund! I'm sure there are far better choices in New York. Go there or order from there. For almost $30, almost anything is better!

This establishment does not care about their customers at all! I ordered a bacon Swiss burger plain and a chicken wrap. I received a mozzarella burger, dripping in mayo, no bacon and the chicken wrap had hair in it. When I asked them to please remake it, they refused. So I asked for my money back and they only refunded $2. So a supervisor at Grubhub called NY Grill to resolve the issue. They told the supervisor that I could walk over to the restaurant myself and bring the food back. Why would I do that, when I payed extra for the delivery of an incorrect order? And then they hung up on the supervisor. Just WOW! Enough said ....

Theyre open 24/7, but the store is really clean, their always nice and the food is really good too. I work late nights / early mornings and this place is a real refuge. Ive ordered every salad and they're all awesome. thecurly fries are also heavenly

Honestly, this deli does not compare to any other. The quality of their cooked food is amazing. The staff are personable, and in my four years of living in the east village this is definitely my favorite place. They have such a variety of food, and since they own other restaurants their cooked food is really on another level compared to every other deli I've tried. I even constantly see cops stopping by at this specific deli to get food because of the quality and their 24/7 service! Awesome deli! They even deliver!!!!

For the second day in a row this place claims it did not receive my order even though I had confirmation from Seamless. NEVER ORDER DELIVERY FROM HERE!! Its a scam .

When I went there to buy smoothies, they literally put tons of syrup into my smoothies without even asking me. Taste nothing but ice-cold fruit-flavored sugar. If u want something healthy, definitely don't order their smoothies. I have to throw it right away.

I'm leaving a comment, because these guys took my money and didnt even make my food. So I reserved my meal through mealpal. When i got to this place, told them I have mealpal order. Mealpal has one set of lunch different everyday. I saw boss telling the chief to cook something else. (The picture and description cleary said seeded bread which was hero sides and breaded chicken, but boss told chief to make on a roll) I pointed out that its different. From that moment they started yelling that they never got the mealpal order. As long as i scan their QR code, the restaurant receive the money and they suppose to make or give out the meal. So they made me to scan then ignored me, but kept telling me to contact mealpal. Worst customer service ever in my life.

Words cannot even explain how pissed I am. I waited over an hour for my food to arrive and it never did and I couldn't get a refund because I "missed the delivery". I left a note for the delivery guy to call instead of knocking and I stood up at 3am in the kitchen by the front door and nothing. No phone call or even a light knock. I checked when the elevator would stop at my floor and nothing. Not only was I so hungry that I paid TWENTY DOLLARS FOR TWO SANDWICHES but my food never came and I couldn't even get my refund. Me and my husband went hungry last night. I was told that they called multiple times and waited 5-10 minutes for me but I have no record of any missed calls nor did I see a delivery guy. Very disappointed and never again am I ordering takeout so late at night from Yelp/Grubhub.

I ordered food, it was 2 hours late and the restaurant would not answer the phone. After involving seamless, I am really disappointed and would not recommend ordering food from this restaurant. I ended up canceling after 2 hours and getting my money back via seamless.

Super good place! Great customer service and one of the best sandwiches for its value that I've had in a long time. Definitely recommend if you're in the area and want a great sandwich. My family got a few different sandwiches and they all were phenomenal. The tuna melt was fantastic.

They CONSISTENTLY mess up the address and do not deliver your food. Highly recommend any other deli in NYC.

I was visiting New York back in September and was surprised by the recent renovation. Of this former bodega. It did not disappoint, customer service was FANTASTIC and I could have eaten every meal here, not only were the wraps and fresh juices amazing you literally can't beat the prices! I recommend this to all my family that visits east village and loved the food! I'll def be coming back for more!

Watch out for hidden additional charges. Ordered a sandwich and was charged an extra dollar for the BREAD. And I got the default bread listed with the sandwich, so the charge makes no sense. 1 star for being scummy.

I am a regular here. These guys are awesome. I was in search of a place I could grab a good breakfast sandwich and a decaf coffee. Ironically enough it's hard to find in the neighborhood. Even popular Boris and Horton on the corner doesn't serve decaf. The owner didn't have any decaf beans but he went out of his way and bought Seneca for me. Their food is always on point and I gotta give them credit for utilizing their space well and efficiently. Plus they have a cute deli cat that wouldn't leave them if you waved salmon in her face. And when I thought I lost my cat they let me put some flyers up. All in all this deli is a gem on the East Side. I recommend them to everyone. My cousin has become a regular too. Great food, even better service and a classic NY atmosphere.

Sadly I was really disappointed by my experience ordering delivery from here. I ordered the Villager Special Sandwich (which has pesto and turkey and avocado) and received an oily Italian sub that didn't even have meat on it. I also ordered a canned espresso coffee and received a bottled protein coffee that was 10 days past its expiration date. No idea how the order could have gone so wrong and wasn't given a good explanation for it. Two stars only because they were nice on the phone....

Pretty good.. sometimes they will substitute what you ordered for something entirely different. For example, ordered an Oreo ICE CREAM bar and got a sleeve of oreo cookies instead. A phone call would remedy that but otherwise their food is delicious and 24 hour service is great when working through the night.

Have ordered from here over 5 times. Quality food each time, and quick delivery. Breakfast burritos, the scooby sandwich and their smoothies are so good.
