Google
They offer two vegetarian tacos along with yucca chips and corn fritters. The Yawdy was a little bit too BBQ flavoured for me but still a great portion and filled with fun incredients. I preferred the Yucatan- it had nice flavors with pineapple and red onion. The fried yucca was fun and had a delicous chimichurri sauce. But my favourite were the crispy sweet corn fritters with chipotle mayo. I probably should have just ordered like three of those - they were perfectly crispy with big chunks of corn and other delightful peppers. Wow they were really good. The food is very affordable and outside of Hi Sign brewery which is super fun. Would definitely order those corn fritters again!

Google
So delicious!! I got the Yawdy Bowl and wow! The chicken is cooked to perfection, and all of the flavors go together beautifully. 10/10 recommend. There’s plenty of seating outside as well as indoor seating in the brewery. The women working the truck were super sweet. I’ll definitely be going back!

Google
Yawdy Bowl was the bomb! The food truck owners were nice and sweet. Def try other one next time! Update: Just tried Yucatan Bowl and it's awesome 🥣! The cooks were extremely nice, and they deserved to get recognized.

Google
Easily the best chicken wings 🍗 I’ve ever had. They’ve been at Hi Sign Brewing for a while now and I had not tried them until last weekend. Ton of meat on the bone. So deliciously marinated. Hard to believe in addition to having the best tacos (get the Yawdy), that the wings would be so insanely good. Check them out.

Google
I wish I took a picture but this is one of the best meals I’ve had in Texas. We got the Yawdy Bowl. OMG! The jerk chicken was cooked and seasoned perfectly and the rice, beans, slaw and everything else in that bowl was amazing. Thank you David, bartender inside Hi Sign Brewing for the recommendation. We also had the corn fritters which were delicious! I will come back to Austin just for this food LOL.

Google
Really quality and delicious food with good portions. The tacos were amazing, good sweet potato fries, and my friend enjoyed her bowl.

Google
Carribean flavors with a twist. Coworker and I paid a visit to this local spot, and our meal was pretty flavorful. While it was not the Caribbean cuisine you may be used to, you can definitely find some flair in the menu items offered. Cherry on top, they are situated right next to a local brewery.

Jose Martinez

Google
It was just amazing! I had the half chicken, and it was finger-licking good! It was a lot, but it was great for a lunch leftover for the next day. The empanadas are also very good! I would definitely come again. It's in a great location with the brewery.

Yelp
Went to the back of Hi Sign Brewing expecting the Norte food truck but was met with this pleasant surprise instead. The truck offers El Salvadorian + Caribbean fusion food which translates to jerk chicken, curried goat (when available), slaw, rice and beans with sweet notes from the pineapple. Everything we got (tacos and a chicken bowl) was delicious! The food took about 10 minutes to come out but I suspect we were the first order of the day. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quick, quirky bite!

Yelp
Get the jerk wings! They aren't too spicy, they just have a tantalizing sort of smokey flavor. And the chicken itself was succulent & juicy. The order or 6 wings came with an avocado ranch that added a welcome coolness to the dish. And of course this is the perfect accompaniment to a beer from Hi Sign right nextdoor. The tacos are pretty stuffed, so worth the $5-ish pricetag, but they aren't the star in my opinion. We ordered 3: the Floridian, the Yawdy & the Yucatan. The Floridian was easily the best. The sweetness & texture of the shrimp paired well w/ mango salsa. And I always like a little fresh shredded cabbage to add crunch & freshness. The other 2 tacos were just ok. They were less flavorful and didn't have the contrast of texture that made the Floridian so enjoyable. Nyam is still worth the visit if you're in the area specifically for the wings. Plus w/ Hi Sign right next door (and a couple other bars w/ in a short walk) it's worth the visit!

Yelp
Texan taco, great food truck at hi sign brewery. Lots of amazing flavors. Want to order everything on the menu
google avatar

Molly M.

Yelp
I had some amazing tacos here and shared the sweet potato fries. The shrimp and shredded beef were huge and juicy, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The mango salsa on top of the shrimp taco was perfect. The sweet potato fries were huge, perfectly cooked and seasoned. My friend enjoyed her bowl. This is a perfect Caribbean cuisine to order and eat with a beer next door or take out.

Yelp
Tried Nyam at a company-sponsored lunch today and it was delicious. Had the Yawdy Bowl with jerk chicken, rice, beans, slaw and guac. Generous portion and the chicken was perfectly cooled. Looked forward to trying more of their menu.

Yelp
Nyam continues to deliver! Local family-owned Caribbean/Latino, delicious food truck catering. Chef Chris has spent a lifetime in food service, including managing Fresa's, and he and his team put heart into each dish. Whether you're looking for a solo meal, date night, or corporate catering - you can't go wrong with Nyam.

Yelp
What a cute little place with amazing Caribbean food! This is a food truck near Ani's day and night and it's a great place to hang out in general . But we mainly come here for the food from this food truck place. The curry got hits the spot every single time with enough food for two people with tender pieces of goat and veggies. Mild but super flavorful. The yuca fries are crispy but the sauce enhances the flavor and you can also ask for habanero sauce if you like spicy food like us . The plantains are so authentic with a nice sweet touch but pan fried to perfection. The tacos are great as well and we like the shrimp taco out of all as the shrimp is always cooked well and the sauce on the taco is great! Definitely recommend this place to get authentic Caribbean food !
google avatar

Shahrzad Y.

Yelp
Very tasty food truck option! You have lots of options and varieties, including many vegetarian options. You get lots of food and can easily share! Plenty of seating options outdoor.
google avatar

Camille J.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this food truck! Stumbled upon it while at an event at Ani's Day and Night. I had the jerk chicken sandwich and a side of yuca fries. Both were great and the jerk chicken was tasty and flavorful but not overwhelmingly spicy. The yuca fries were crispy and came with a delicious sauce. Other people I was with got 1/4 jerk chicken and said it was delicious. Seems like a family run business, very friendly. Prices were affordable and fair!

Yelp
Yummy and filling?? That is a five star in my book. Despite my dislike for truck food (I have this thing about no running water), truck food is almost mandatory in Austin. Austin tries so hard to be ghetto gangsta chick and remains to promote weirdness. (And truck food and ghetto chick go in h in h.) The jerk chicken plate, at $15 plus tax, has ample juicy Jamaican chicken, fried plantains, Jamaican rice, and stir fried veggies. The chicken was delicious, finger licking bone sucking delicious. I don't often get excited about chicken as there is only a few chicken places that are worthy, but this is really delicious. Complemented by the tangy taste of plantain and veggies with rice, it is a complete hearty meal for a hungry traveler or local weirdos. I'm still not a fan of truck food, but I'm an fan of Nyam.

Yelp
This place is SO good!!!! The corn fritters are seriously amazing especially with the dipping sauce. The Texan tacos were so delish and the beef was so fresh and flavorful. I can't wait for it to warm up I'll be a frequent visitor to this little spot on riverside!
google avatar

Aaron B.

Yelp
Outstanding food truck! Always delicious. Love having a unique option on Riverside like this spot at Ani's
google avatar

Allyson L.

Yelp
*OVERALL* The food is very unique and tasty - it was my first time trying Caribbean Latino fusion food and I loved it! The jerk chicken will change your life. I am so excited to go back and try out other dishes on their menu. *PARKING* There are two free parking lots on either side of the area. The Nyam Sunshine Cuisine food truck is parked in front of the cafe, Ani's Day and Night, and there are ample picnic tables outside. Perfect for eating outdoors with large parties and also very dog-friendly. *FOOD* I got the Jerk Chicken and was very happy with my decision. The chicken was juicy and bursting with flavor, the plantains added a nice sweetness to the dish, the Jamaican rice was savory and addicting, and the sauce complemented the dish very well. If you're looking for a hearty dish that's packed with a perfect balance of different flavors, I would highly recommend this dish!

Yelp
The jerk chicken wings are out of this world. The entire menu is perfectly cooked. My favorite is the half or whole chicken with tasty veggies and rice. I get three meals out of it and the price is great
google avatar

Kaelin K.

Yelp
We have some FIRE empanadas. Great food with friendly staff. The food truck is in a cute courtyard next to a place with great cocktails. Great place to meet up with friends.
google avatar

Yelp
The food is so delicious. I can feel the love and thought that they put in their recipes and menu items. Being from Chicago and recently moving to Austin, I was having a hard time finding really good Caribbean food. I am so happy that I found them because it's good and it reminds me of home.
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
This place is amazing! Great spot to chill! They are dog friendly as well! The workers here were all so friendly! Definitely will come back in the future to try other things!! I got the jerk chicken and it was fantastic!!! The flavors were on point and authentic! The chicken was perfectly cooked. Definitely a hidden gem of Austin!
google avatar

Alanah M.

Yelp
Jerk wings - wow so flavorful and tender and the avocado ranch is amazing Yucatán taco - again so flavorful and moist chicken with delicious pineapple salsa Yucca bowl - star of the show for me. I love fried yucca. This has tender braised shredded beef over it with a slaw and pickled red onions and a sauce that was pretty damn spicy on a couple of bites - keep the water nearby but wow yum yum
google avatar

Alexa R.

Yelp
I got the Curried Chicken meal and it was amazing. Tender chicken thighs, fresh veggies, perfectly cooked plantains, and a spicy curry sauce mixed with potatoes and carrots.
google avatar

Veronica T.

Yelp
Wow, wow, wow! This place knocked my socks off! This may be the best tasting food in Austin, period! I'm not sure if I ever rated a place 5 stars. I had the jerk chicken with rice and veggies, and plantains and, OMG, what an experience. I'm not used to such perfection in the Austin area... sorry Austinites. The chicken was moist, the skin flavorful, and cooked all the way through. The rice with pigeon peas was cooked perfectly, the veggies not under or overcooked, and the plantains were sweet... not starchy and not greasy! Nothing was over-seasoned or over-salted. The spiciness level was perfect... not too hot and not too mild... just an explosion of flavor!!! Yes, I'm a Goldie Locks kinda person... looking for perfection, and this place was just right!! Awesome food at a good price served with a smile in an extremely clean and lovely trailer park venue. What a treat! Made my day!!!
google avatar

Jerome R.

Yelp
Got the yuca bowl and jerk chicken. Both were very good, looking forward to trying the whole menu. Tons of outdoor seating and shade shared with a bar. Doesn't get much better.
google avatar

Tracy O.

Yelp
So good! Had the Texan taco, Jamaican chicken (big portion!), and the fritters- everything was delicious and I'd definitely order each of them again. Plantains were delicious. Was out of the goat curry when we went but hope to try it next time!

Mike W.

Yelp
What a gem! The food was amazing - we kept telling each other how wonderful it was as we were eating. (Jerked chicken, coconut shrimp, and corn fritters). But the site they have their trailer at was equally awesome! Plenty of benches, picnic tables, and chairs set out under huge cottonwoods, with a nice bar in the house (try the hibiscus team and prickly pear margarita) Next time we fly out of Austin, we'll be back!
google avatar

Sydney S.

Yelp
By FAR one of the best food trucks in ATX. Located outside a cute coffee/cocktail shop, they have a comfortable outdoor atmosphere to dine out at. Food is reasonably priced, fast service, and the jerk chicken taco is to die for. They also have vegetarian options!
google avatar

Sabra L.

Yelp
The curry chicken was great. I love how fresh the veggies are and they not over cooked. Rice was well cooked and plantains were super tasty. This place deserves more acclaim. Compliments to the chef!
google avatar

Candace A.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped by Ani's for some coffee and breakfast tacos from a neighboring food truck. We decided to check out this bright yellow food trucks menu to see if it was something we might be interested in. I barely got through the appetizers and knew this was a MUST! We actually came back a few hours later specifically for this truck and had the most delicious dinner! The food, the service, the flavors!!! We ordered all the appetizers and some tacos, as well and let me tell you: WOW!!!! If I wasn't flying out the next day for a trip I would have come right back the very next day. The family running this truck were beyond friendly and thankful and even the bartender from inside Ani's came out and chatted with us about how incredible this food truck is. I cannot WAIT to come back to try more of their food and when I say to just get all of the appetizers and not think twice, I mean it! And the guacamole: go calypso! This, this is a little piece of sunshine !
google avatar

Duc T.

Yelp
The Calypso Guacamole is normal, not so special. The Tacos are just ok, the cost is $5 each but the taste is just normal. The $3 tacos near Dallas Love Field airport have much better taste with a lot more options. Not worth the price in my opinion
google avatar

Jamie B.

Yelp
Great food! Everything I have tried was delicious, I especially love the corn fritters

Rachel J.

Yelp
Wonderful food and service!! We got the corn fritters, curried goat, and the Floridian and yawdy tacos. Everything was very tasty and had a good amount of heat! .
google avatar

Je W.

Yelp
We love this food truck and eat here at least once a month. The flavor is delicious, the ingredients are fresh and we haven't had anything we haven't liked yet. Recommendations - Corn fritters, Texan Taco and Quinoa Bowl.

Marlen R.

Yelp
Very tasty, juicy and delicious food that I have been trying in Austin, Texas, I highly recommended, I like everything but I love the shrimp tacos and quinoa salad , yummy
google avatar

Jan T.

Yelp
Nyam is incredible and the owners here are so nice! We brought our family to Ani's and had a very pleasant Sunday lunch. The goat curry just melted off the bone and was very flavorful. The shrimp rice dish was delicious and we loved the mango salad that accompanied it. The jerk chicken was tender and moist with the perfect savory, spiced, and honey-sweetened jerk rub. Not surprising since the owner used to be the GM at Fresa's. One of my favorite new food trucks.
google avatar

Brian K.

Yelp
This is one of the best food trucks I have ever had! The food was delicious and my wife and I couldn't choose an appetizer so we got all of them. I would definitely recommend the wings and the Roatan taco, you will not be disappointed. The staff was unbelievably nice and my wife and I joked with them by saying we would be back later this week. We definitely weren't joking and we look forward to our next visit as soon as humanly possible. In a sea of food trucks in Austin we have definitely found a Caribbean gem!
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
This place is so good! Everything is so fresh and delicious. I have been here twice so far and never disappointed. Stumbled upon this gem while visiting Ani's for the first time. The folks running it are also so nice. Give them a visit and if you're blown away like me, spread the word!
google avatar

Brent S.

Yelp
The owner of the trailer is very nice and outgoing. The food is quick and fantastic. Every dish seems to be cooked to order w a beautiful presentation for to go food. I've had the jerk chicken and the coconut shrimp and they were both fantastic

Julie N.

Yelp
Came here on a whim and pleasantly surprised with the food that we ordered!! We ordered Jerk Chicken (quarter dark meat option), Coconut Shrimp, and the Corn Fritters. This was the perfect amount of food for two hungry people! The chicken was moist but could've used more sauce on top or on the side. I loved how well rounded each meal was - veggies, carb, protein!! Everything was so delicious but the corn fritters were my personal favorite. They came with a delicious creamy sauce. We will be back to try the rest of the menu!
google avatar

Shannon H.

Yelp
What a sweet surprise! My guy and I enjoyed the vibes, beautiful sunset and by the far the best food truck in town! From the corn fritters, variety of tacos and quinoa bowl... All delicious! Please support this amazing business and enjoy this hidden gem in a cultural pocket off the beaten path. LOVE!

Joan W.

Yelp
I've been in Austin for 13 years and never found a place that I can get good Caribbean food other than my own and this place top Notch. It's a little hidden gem and I am in love they're curry goat jerk. Chicken is really good but they're plantains and steamed veggies. Yes yes.
google avatar

Charles L.

Yelp
I'm biased because I know this man so there's that. My favorite food is Caribbean and stuff from the Gulf of Mexico this man is from Jamaica. The salsas are exceptional and the jerk is the real deal. Not a bad thing on the menu go see for yourself.
google avatar

lance u.

Yelp
This place is absolutely amazing. One of the best places to eat in Austin. PERFECTION.

Brendan M.

Yelp
Delicious jamaican food! I had the quinoa bowl with jerk chicken and I'm elated. I also appreciate their order ahead functionality. Really convenient to order online and pickup on my way home.

Nate M.

Yelp
Such a tasty meal from Nyah! We ordered the half jerk chicken, fritters and the Texas taco. The chicken was tender, juicy and perfectly spiced and fritters were sweet and crunchy. The courtyard and seating in the outdoor patio area is well maintained. Highly recommend.

Zarna S.

Yelp
Had the quinoa salad bowl, very fresh, very delicious and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend

Judy C.

Yelp
I had the curry goat and it was seasoned just right (being from Jamaica myself) and the portion of meat was large compared to rice - I could not finish the amount i was given. It was also spicy but not too hot for digestion. Goat can sometimes be tough if overcooked and that was not the case with my meal. My son had the jerk chicken and he being 6' 4" and a healty young man, had a healthy portion of meat and was filled after eating. The jerk seasoning was not too hot/spicy to eat - one has to be careful that it doesn't hurt going in and going out. I strongly recommend Nyam and the staff was also very friendly and answered all questions. The other big benefit for my son and I is that the meals were Gluten Free since we have a Gluten allergy. With Gluten allergies even the spices used can affect one and we had no reaction. If you want a taste of Jamaica visit Nyam.
