I’ve been to Oak many times since its opening. It’s always been a great place to eat, wonderful flavorful steaks. Great menu, relaxed yet very nice atmosphere. We have brought our kids many times for a nice dinner celebration. Most recently we were there for my daughter’s birthday, the staff went above and beyond to make her feel special without making a huge embarrassing fuss. My oldest has a severe tree nut allergy, they have always been able to accommodate it with zero issues. Even their bread is safe since, which is extremely rare since bakery items are almost always cross contaminated. When dessert time came for the birthday girl they brought out this wonderful spread for us of most the items in the menu servers on a beautiful wood plank. But that’s not what was extra special. It was all NUT FREE! I can’t remember the last time my allergic son could eat BOTH the bread and every dessert on the menu! I think he was happier than the birthday girl! Major props to their pastry chef, I can’t thank her enough!!! Thanks Oak for making that such a special occasion!

What a find!. First Cassandra, our Server, was amazing. It was my daughter's 37th birthday and her Mother, Myself, and her girlfriend picked the Oak out a bit by accident. That said, everything we had was outstanding. I had their aged ribeye and it was as advertised. The staff went to extraordinary efforts to make my daughter's dinner out special. From out menus having her name on them, to the special visit from their renowned pastry chef - she made a special tray of her signature deserts and they were fantastic. I will say we took the high side of the menu, with no regrets. That said there were plenty of offerings that looked very good and were what you would expect from a tier e restaurant, but very reasonable. The Oak Steakhouse is a real treasure. I'll be going back for sure.

Google
This experience was ABOVE AND BEYOND. The ribeye steak was out of this world. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and offered some good recommendations. It was my wife's birthday and they came up with a super nice gesture to make her feel special to celebrate her day.

This restaurant was great. Atmosphere, service. John S was our server. He was great. The food was amazing. Brussel sprout and califlower caramelized was amazing.

Google
First of all, amazing service from Bobby and everyone here! Very sweet of them to put Happy Birthday on the menu, took us by surprise. Everyone knew whose birthday it was and it really made the dinner feel extra special. The bread and butter were really moist and fluffy. Pork belly had a good crispy to it while also maintaining its texture. Charcuterie board was pretty good, everyone enjoyed the duck and I think blueberry cheese. Everything else were pretty good but the Brussels Sprouts and Cauliflower that Bobby recommended were really tasty, they were slightly sweet and crisp. Everything Bobby recommended was really good and shoutout to him to giving us such a great night, he sure deserves a raise. Will be back!

Excellent tallow-fried steaks and scallops. Delicious Mac and cheese. The banana cocktail was also surprisingly good.

When I tell you this was the most wonderful birthday dinner I have ever had…. I mean it! The staff went above and beyond to make this special for us. It meant so much to me and my significant other who both work in the service industry. The food was exceptional, the waiter and manager were phenomenal. Thank you so much for making our experience so memorable. We will return for every special occasion!

Google
* 5 stars for Food, Service, and Atmosphere* We had an incredible dinner at Oak last night! From the moment we sat down, the service stood out. Our server, Sam, was attentive, professional, and made thoughtful recommendations that really elevated our experience. He took my food allergies seriously, which gave me peace of mind throughout the meal. That kind of care and attention is rare, and Sam went above and beyond to make sure everything was seamless. We also really appreciated the personal touch from Mark, the manager, who stopped by to check in and make sure we were having a great evening. It’s clear that creating a welcoming and memorable dining experience is a priority at Oak Steakhouse. Now, let’s talk about the food—it was phenomenal. The pork belly appetizer, brussel sprouts and cauliflower, and the chocolate cake are absolute must-tries! Each dish was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. And to make the evening even sweeter, they sent us home with a pastry, which was such a thoughtful treat to enjoy later. Overall, Oak Steakhouse completely impressed us with their service, hospitality, and outstanding food. It’s a dining experience we won’t forget, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Yelp
This place was absolutely amazing!!! From the staff, to the ambiance, to the delicious food. I absolutely loved everything! They also have amazing cocktails!!! Best steak ever!!!

Yelp
Ribeye was no less that %80 FAT, asked server if this was normal? He response "Yes". Manager came over and asked "What's going on over here" very professional Heavy set AA women in her late Twenties. We showed her the plate of FAT and she said "That's how the Ribeyes are" BULL SH-T!!! She offered another steak but we were not going to wait 45 minutes for another Plate Of FAT!!! Service was beyond horrible!!! Sever never check on us, had to ask the HOSTESS for Bread then refill than butter, we never saw our server again. Until time to pay. Horrible EXPERIENCE!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! Go to LONG HORN, GREAT STEAKS AT HALF THE PRICE AND GREAT SERVICE!!!

Yelp
One of the worst meals I have had. The date of my visit was January 17th for my son's 18th birthday. Unfortunately, due to the occasion and being with friends, I did not take any photos. We really wanted this to be a special meal to celebrate and it was so disappointing. I was here was about a year before and the food was good but the quality has significantly and detrimentally changed. I did attempt to reach a manager before writing this review but did not receive a call back. I will go through our dishes and the issues: Oysters Rockefeller-the oysters were too small for the amount of topping, and the topping was good but seemed like it probably doubled for a spinach dip that should've been served with chips. Wedge salad- no crispness to the lettuce. We ordered two of these and one came drenched in salad dressing. The other one barely had any. Chilean Salmon dinner- 2 of us ordered this and it was so tasteless that we sent it back, and I mean completely tasteless. 3 16 oz ribeye steaks- the seasoning was tasteful but all 3 were so thin they looked like breakfast steaks , I wouldn't even serve these at home. I've eaten at high end restaurants for 20+years and there is no way these were 16 oz OR prime beef! Strip steak-again, thin and tough. I question the cut and quality of beef. Pork belly and tuna tartare appetizers, and Caesar salad - the only bright spots They did bring out a dessert for my son's birthday, but they knew he was gluten-free and brought out cake! When I evaluate all of the issues with our food, I think the problem it is in the quality of food they're serving, and they're trying to cover it up with the preparation. For a meal that cost just under $700 (only one alcoholic drink and maybe 1 soda, 1 coffee) we could have done so much better.

Yelp
We went for our 20 year anniversary and the restaurant could not have been nicer or more attentive. I think our waitress name was Alyssa and she was wonderful! We had a reserved table with a card that wished us a Happy Anniversary! When she brought the menus they had Happy Anniversary and our name on the menu! To start our evening we were given 2 glasses of Champagne. When we order an appetizer we were also given a Poke Tuna appetizer with ( a very nice touch) and then at the end of the meal we were given a nice dessert! The food and service were excellent! I can not say enough about the kind treatment we received! Highly recommend!

BH B.

Yelp
The toughest NY strip I've ever eaten. Service was good and the drinks were great. Also the serving size for the app was 2 egg rolls cut in half. It was sadly small.

Ashley C.

Yelp
Had the burrata and fried lobster bites to start. Husband got a steak and I got the lobster thermidor special. Finished with the apple fritters. It was a good meal but I don't know if it was worth the cost. The lobster app and meal was $175 combined.

Jen S.

Yelp
This is absolutely the place to go for a special occasion. We went here for my husband's birthday and they even customized a menu with his name on it! Our server's name was Tommy & he took such great care of us. The sun came in beautifully through the windows and we had a calm dinner begin at 530PM. It got busier throughout the night but it made the energy all the more fun. They're generous with their portions and everyone who worked there gave us fantastic service with smiles. I highly recommend for a big group! It was easy to make a reservation through open table and the night went so smoothly.

Yelp
What a meal!! I mean we had to sell off a kidney to pay for it but it was worth it! We came for a business meeting and sat down to perfection. I have been here before and had a great meal but this time it was truly exceptional! This venue is located in the Avalon and it is a true steakhouse... dark wood inside, dimly lit interior, huge over the top bar, unbelievable wait staff, and world class steaks. However on this night the special was a lobster tail mixed with crab meat and drizzled in a lemon sauce. I mean how could you pass that up?!? I didn't and it was "OHHHHH MY GODDIE OUT OF THIS WORLD TOOOOO HOTTIE!!" What a mid blowing combination. Just maybe one of my best meals ever! Add in the jalapeño honey soaked corn bread, the mac'n cheese, loaded potatoes and Brussels and there really was just no other way to describe it but PERFECTION. Artistry in flavors! A true life changing food experience. I still dream about this meal! Now it was not cheap... in fact I'm pretty sure we all suffered s shears heart attack when the bill came.. but again... this was worth every penny for this once in a life time food experience!

Yelp
Amazing food and service. Oysters and steaks were perfect. Great dining and comfy cozy ambiance

Yelp
Came to dine at Oak steakhouse as it has been on my list to try. Pulling up to the front of the restaurant is complementary valet and the huge wooden door that welcomes you inside is beautiful and dramatic. We were seated immediately after checking in with the hostess. Walking through the restaurant is that dark steakhouse feel but we were brought to a room located in the back of the restaurant that was decorated with wine! How fun! Our server David was amazing! We were so excited to try most items on the menu and he pointed us in the best direction for ordering. For starters: Lobster bisque A+ - did not lack nice chunks of lobster and the broth was creamy and smooth and very well seasoned! Sea scallops, A+++ - seared absolutely perfectly, and the inside glistened that when you took a bite out of it, it melted in your mouth! Crabcakes A+ - definitely not the best I have ever had however, I appreciate a crabcake that is well seasoned, and has less fillers as this one did. Now it was time to order our entrées. Every time I see Wagyu steak on the menu I'm highly intrigued and so I decided to go for it and of course what is surf without the turf? Just like Batman needs Robin, it needed the lobster tail. Now, when I tell you, this might have been the biggest lobster tail that I have ever seen. I didn't know who was the star of the show! After biting into the Wagyu, it was clear that the meat was of high-quality. my only wish is that the fat cap was rendered a little bit longer. The lobster meat was steamed to perfection. We were all pleased with our entrées selections all in all and for the sides we ordered: Lobster mac & cheese A+ - nice chunks of lobster great cheese sauce, needed a little bit more seasoning Truffle mashed potatoes, A++- so Yum! Mouthwatering... Literally! Brussels sprouts A++- cooked very well the charm and sweetness was an excellent marriage. Asparagus C - this was the only downfall of the meal. The ends were not cut properly and was extremely hard to chew. Would I go back to Oak? Absolutely! Now that I have my favorites I'll just stick to that! Overall, a very good meal!

Yelp
The ambiance inside of here was so warm and romantic. The server we had was absolutely incredible explained the menu to us so smoothly and gave us a wonderful 2 years anniversary with champagne and cake. We had got bolognese and filet migon steak was juicy however everything was a bit salty but still delicious

Attiya K.

Yelp
We had dinner at the oak with a family member visiting from out of town. You can park at the Avalon and walk to the restaurant or have an option to valet. We had a reservation and got seated right on time. The quality of the steaks ordered weren't great. The wood burning fire felt like they were charred too much The cornbread was great and sides overall were good. Steaks had opportunity. The service wasn't the best. They could've been more attentive. Constantly having to wait for our waiter to ask questions, order, etc. we had to send back 2 steaks bc they were not prepared correctly.

Angie L.

Yelp
Our favorite place! We always sit at the bar and the staff is always so friendly and amazing. Food is the best in Avalon. We've taken clients here and also been for other occasions. Regardless of what you are looking for, romantic date, business meeting, dinner with friends or just a quick bite at the bar this is the spot.

My-Linh D.

Yelp
I celebrated my promotion at Oak Steakhouse and they did not fail to make me feel so special! All of the workers including the host and servers were so kind. They even offered my table 6 complimentary dishes, 4 of them include desserts. This is not my first time at Oak Steakhouse and I already know the food was delicious. But what made this second time even more special was the care and attention the staff had for me and my table. Thank you!

Jeannette N.

Yelp
We went in celebration of completing first phase of chemo and surgery and our server, Sam, made sure our time was memorable. Our whole night was thoughtfully prepared. Thank you!!

Draft M.

Yelp
Wayyyy overrated. Unreal experience. Disjointed disaster of a scenario. Not even close to NY Prime, Hal's or Kaiser's. Unmitigated disaster. Will Not Return.

Tatiana R.

Yelp
I ordered the 6oz Steak Frites and baked mac n cheese. The steak was phenomenal and it came with fries. The free bread they offer was underwhelming, it wasnt warm and I didn't like the salt. Will ask for it without salt next time. The mac n cheese was fine. I added more cheese, some milk and re-baked it the next day and it was great.

Brooke H.

Yelp
3.5. Oysters were underwhelming. Bread overcooked. Stouffers Mac and cheese? Luke warm cocktail. Weird blue cheese on steak. Ok but not great. Great service and ambiance but food much better elsewhere. Good date night environment.

Connor S.

Yelp
BELIEVE ALL THE HYPE! This place delivers on all promises and reviews and more. The service went above and beyond. We had called at 12pm for a 7pm reservation not expecting to be able to get in but they were kind and compassionate and got us right in. When we arrived the staff was overwhelmingly nice and patient as they explained the menu, drinks, and what their specialities include. Our waiter/server was very personable and cared about each individual dish and how it would fair with our palette (something we didn't ask for). My wife didn't know what type of drink she wanted but she told him what she liked and they created it to perfection that she had 2. The steak frites were deliciously cooked to perfection with truffle fries that were to die for. The sauce was a bit too much on the steak but it did make for a nice garnish. The Mac and Cheese was a top 5 I've ever had in my eating experience and the bread was sweet with a tiny hint of kick. However the winner of the show was the Brussels sprouts. You must dine here. Don't miss this experience

Shannon H.

Yelp
WOW - so impressed by the Oak Steakhouse experience, particularly the food and the service. I had white wine, the pear salad and *incredible* Chilean Salmon in beurre blanc sauce. I don't eat pork, but my husband raved about the pork belly appetizer in a balsamic glaze and I tried his butcher cut steak and it truly melted in my mouth. We had Saji as our server who was fantastic - very friendly, attentive and considerate. His recommendations were also spot on and made for a wonderful meal. We will be back :)

Yelp
My husband and I recently celebrated our wedding anniversary at the Oak Steakhouse. This was our first visit there, after hearing many people sing its praises. We started at the bar for cocktails and appetizers. The two bartenders we interacted with were happy and helpful. (Sorry I didn't catch their names...it was a male and a female). I had a blood orange mezcal margarita...they definitely did not skimp on the mezcal! It was delicious. My husband had a glass of Oban (scotch). We ordered oysters on the half shell and shrimp cocktail. The shrimp was delicious...fresh and large. The oysters were not great. I'm not an expert, but because they came out fairly fast and they had a firm film on the top, I'm pretty sure they had been pre-shucked. Once I scrambled them around a bit and added all the good stuff, they tasted fine... but the film was a little off-putting. Also, I did encounter some large chunks of shell in my mouth. I'm still giving five stars because honestly, that was the only negative thing about the night. We were then seated for dinner. Our food server was Saji, and he was very pleasant and talkative. We discussed wines and regions in California and he was suitably knowledgeable. We decided on a bottle of Austin Hope 2021...great choice! We both ordered 8oz filets, cooked medium rare and they came out perfect. I don't eat steak often, so this was wonderful! Along with our main course, we had loaded potato purée and jalapeño cheddar corn bread. Both were tasty! Oh, we also split a wedge salad to start. Very crisp and fresh. Since it was our anniversary, we splurged and ordered two desserts...carrot cake and vanilla cheesecake. By this time, after the Mezcal and most of the bottle of wine, I was feeling good. The next day, when I saw the leftovers in our fridge I was excited to have some more dessert...but alas, we apparently finished all of that. Haha. Oh well, I guess we'll have to go back for more. The ambience of the restaurant was nice...tables were spread out appropriately and it was not too loud, even though the place was fairly full. I would happily return for a fancy meal...just will avoid the oysters.

Marie B.

Yelp
Loud space and a bit hot. Long wait for food as there were several big parties. Not much staff in open kitchen. Two of our steaks were not cooked correctly. Sent one back and still came out wrong but it was tasty. Side items were generally good including asparagus. Had a fishy piece of lobster in the lobster mac and cheese. Cornbread a bit dry. Issue with our check but was resolved. All in all a nice yet very expensive meal. Not sure we would go back though. It's not Shula's or even Fleming's.

Mark F.

Yelp
OUTSTANDING! One of the best meals I've had in a while - everything was terrific - service was great - will definitely be back and highly recommend 10/10!

Craig J.

Yelp
This restaurant has excellent food. I had the best filet ever. Cooked perfectly. My wife's salmon was delicious also. The service was great. Our only complaints were the reluctance of the hostess to seat us outside, even though several tables were open. We didn't understand the reluctance. Also the cocktails were a little pricey and could have been better. I do recommend this restaurant.

Maleah G.

Yelp
I've had the pleasure of dining at Oak Steakhouse twice! The first time I went for a late lunch with my Mom, and the second time with my husband for a night out. I'll focus this review on my second trip as it was more recent. We ordered: To start: - Two halved salads: Little gem lettuce and local bibb lettuce - Jalapeño cheddar cornbread Dinner: - 20 oz dry-aged prime bone-in ribeye (shared) - Truffle frites - Brussel sprouts & cauliflower Drinks: - 2 smoke on the waters - 2 old fashions The service was spectacular. From the greeting at the entrance to our server throughout the night, we were well taken care of. The majority of our meal was delicious. I didn't like the little gem salad--the dressing wasn't my favorite. The cornbread was great; I wish it was baked in a cast iron skillet, though. The brussels, frites, other salad, and drinks were phenomenal. Where our meal fell short was the main event: the steak. And also why I gave this review 3/5 stars. Don't get me wrong, the presentation was beautiful! But the steak itself didn't live up to our expectations. The grade of meat didn't taste good, it lacked flavor, and overall, wasn't the top of our lists of best steaks in Atlanta. A little disappointing, but I do think the rest of the experience carried the night. With that said, try it for yourself--you may think otherwise!

Courtney F.

Yelp
Made a reservation two or three weeks ago for our five year anniversary. Arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation but then waited another 20 minutes AFTER our scheduled reservation time. Went up to the host or manager to tell her we were going to leave and she responded with "sorry we're just busy tonight". Looked at the multiple open tables sitting in front of me and wondered, "What's the point of making the reservation?" No one kept us updated with timing or anything like that. Told them we'd take any open table no preference on booth or anything like that. still nothing after 35 minutes. Very disappointing.

Greg D.

Yelp
Steaks are nicely seared. Good ambiance and views of the lawn. Service was excellent.

Anthony B.

Yelp
Overall food was good including the steaks. Brussel sprouts were great. Jalapeno cornbread was drenched in syrup and not good. Ambiance was noisy and crowded. Service was adequate but inattentive and slow. We were only offered water or alcohol to drink - no tea, soda, etc. took a long time to be seated even with reservations. Food took about an hour to arrive after ordering. Steak was undercooked but they fixed it. Truffle butter and house steak sauce were good. Overall decent but not sure I'll rush back anytime soon.

Amethyst W.

Yelp
We made reservations online, but did not realize that the table we selected was outdoor seating for middle of November. Luckily they did have heat lamps, and a cover so it wasn't that cold to eat there at 40° outside. Are waitressing reluctant to be stuck with a table that was away from the main dining, but she did end up starting us anyways. We ordered soup, which we didn't realize that it was $18 per person, drinks, a charcuterie board, and sides. Our bill came to about $500 for 4 people, so definitely not inexpensive. Overall good dining experience. Actually enjoyed being outside away from the crowded dining area.

Matt T.

Yelp
We bellied up to the bar for a drink and snacks on a Friday night. It was early and empty. We ordered a glass of wine and a beer, and here is where I began to become annoyed. The list of wines by the glass is limited and poorly selected. The only chard by the glass is $20? This tells me that you're looking for ways to take advantage of your customers. It's pretentious and inappropriate imo. We ordered the charcuterie board and asked to substitute out any blue veined cheese, which they accommodated. The board came with two cheeses, neither had any flavor at all. The salami was average, the bresaola was good, the prosciutto forgettable. There were 4 tiny slices of toast on the plate. The whole thing was poorly thought out and tasted like it was from Publix. People have been telling me to go here for years, so we thought we'd start slow. If these things can't be done well, why would I come here for an $80 steak. No thank you. The bartenders were pleasant, but not overly concerned with anyone's experience. Too many good steakhouses to blow a pile of cash for an average night.

Kristen T.

Yelp
Oak Steakhouse has been on our list for quite some time. We made Sunday brunch reservations and practically had the restaurant to ourselves. Parking at the Avalon is not bad if you give yourself some extra time. We were able to find metered street parking pretty quickly nearby so we opted to pay since it was raining. There is also valet available. It was really quiet as we dined, but this is likely due to the amount of guests at the time - pretty much just let us and one other table. The service was good and there was a nice brunch menu with options for every palate. We ordered the following: Shrimp & Jalapeño Grits ($16) Double Stack Burger with Truffle Fries ($16) Cinnamon Roll ($6) Bee's Knees ($12) Oak Old Fashioned ($13) The Getaway ($12) The cocktails were tasty. Not our favorites ever, but we enjoyed them. Our cinnamon roll came out undercooked the first time so we sent it back and waited for a fresh one which took some time. The replacement, while fully cooked, did not blow us away. It was doughy and not very flavorful. The shrimp and grits were nice and had potential, but were under seasoned. There were no salt and pepper shakers on the table so we waited a bit before we could ask for some. My burger tasted good, but the bun was super stale which made it difficult to eat. I am thinking maybe this was an off-day. Everything seemed to have an issue which was surprising. We enjoyed the variety on the menu and are happy we tried this place. I am not sure we would return for brunch sometime soon, but we would be interested in returning for dinner.

Fransisca W.

Yelp
Charcuterie board was awesome, love it love it love it Dry age steak it was ok, not big fan of it. Nice place, good service. Pricey but for experience I think it's ok.

Joseph R.

Yelp
Great service, great selection of wines and premium made cocktails. Had the 14 oz. filet and brussel sprouts. Cooked to perfection. I definitely recommend anyone who is looking to have a quality meal. I will be back ...

David B.

Yelp
The food was outstanding, great service from our guy, the place dark and but full of life, I highly recommend this place.

Jacqueline B.

Yelp
We had a fantastic time here. 2nd time visiting, service was great, food was delicious and they did a really nice birthday dessert for us. We really enjoyed ourselves and I would say it's also a great value. I look forward to visiting again soon!

Chris G.

Yelp
Let me save you time and money. Instead of going here, go to Costco and buy a 5 pack of boneless rib-eyes. Pick up any side of your choice (they have some great ready made stuff) and buy a 12-pack of your favorite beer. Go home, cook it, eat it and not only will it be FAR better than what you can get at Oak, you will easily save yourself at least $100 bucks. Lackluster service, disappointing atmosphere, expensive food. There are literally dozens of places in the area that are better. Don't waste your time here.

Sarah S.

Yelp
One of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. Mo was absolutely amazing. He was attentive and very personable. Certainly will be requesting him next time.

Carlie M.

Yelp
Had an amazing dinner here a few weeks ago with my family. There were 6 of us and it was a Friday evening, so we made sure to make a reservation! Our waiter was great - very attentive and gave great recommendations. We started with some drinks. We got a bottle of wine for some of us and then some ordered cocktails. We ordered quite a few things and split it up between all of us! We got the tagliatelle bolognese, Brussels and cauliflower, potato purée, creamed corn brûlée, jalapeño cheddar cornbread, mushroom medley, pan seared scallops, filet mignon, and the wagyu strip loin. The bolognese was so amazing! One of our favorites. It was more of a creamy sauce than usual. The cornbread was also one of the stars! As well as the Brussels! Overall a great meal and a great place to celebrate any occasion.

Jackson C.

Yelp
Went for my birthday and, it was great again. The food was very good nothing had to be sent back and our waiter was extremely nice. It wasn't too loud either they have an open kitchen so you can watch them prepare your food. Had a great time and definitely wood recommend

Trish M.

Yelp
I love the Oysters. The ambience is amazing and the customer service was great i would highly recommend this place

Ryan A.

Yelp
Not a great experience. Our waiter was great and the oysters were good, but that is where it stopped. The atmosphere outside was just boring. No music. And the burger was terrible. Meat not great. Salmon was drenched in butter. Wine menu terrible - not great wines at very high prices. Not worth the prices they charge.

Michele M.

Yelp
Food, service and atmosphere were just average, not what you expect at a $$$ restaurant. Our food took forever to come out which happens when the kitchen gets backed up but our server didn't check on us during the long wait. With so many other options I will not be going back.

Iain P.

Yelp
The restaurant is very expensive and the steak I had was gristle. The service was good and the ambiance good. I just cannot get over how bad the steak was. They need to improve their ability at buying quality meat. It is that simple. The truffle fries were soggy which was disappointing. The foie gras was good I have to say. Maybe they deserve three stars but a steak restaurant should have great steaks. Another item was that my wife had to send her fillet mignon back as it was undercooked. The waiter then brought us more fries to compensate. There were three of us and with a bottle of wine the bill was $400. You decide! I won't be returning. I was disappointed. Sorry.

Yelp
What a delightful steakhouse in the Avalon! Enjoyed an impromptu dinner after a day of walking/shopping around the Avalon. Fresh oysters, royal reds appetizer (shrimp on toast, in a tomato sauce), tomahawk steak, Brussels sprouts, truffle fries, ended with maple doughnuts. My goodness -- all was nicely done and quite delicious. I would definitely go again!

Yelp
Why is it so dark! Music plays in the background - a little loud for my tastes. Initially we did the fried chicken meal as an appetizer. We shared it amongst the four of us. That was the juiciest chicken I have ever tasted! I didn't know chicken breasts could be so good! The collards were so good and I'm not a veggie girl. I didn't see a drink that I wanted on the menu so I asked the waiter if he could make me a pineapple upside down drink and he didn't disappoint! Strong!!!!!!!! Steaks. My friends shared a tomahawk and it looked very fatty to me. They loved it. I got the bone in rib eye and it was good. Needed some salt and something else....not sure what. I need to learn my preferences when it comes to wet aged and dry aged. I think I'm a wet-aged girl. The steak I had was dry. Or maybe it was the other way around. Sorbet for dessert for me. The others had chocolate cake that looked moist but wasn't. Oak Steakhouse is great for steaks. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Went last night with a group of friends and it was amazing. We got a bunch of appetizers like shrimp cocktail, oysters, crab cake. And a majority of us got their 8 oz filet with some sides. Everything was cooked perfectly. Tommy was our waiter and he was fantastic. Knew the menu, wine menu etc. will definitely request him next time we go back.

Yelp
Went here and ate alone at bar while on business trip. Simple order. French onion soup. Nothing to write about,; not enough cheese or onions to make it it's namesake. Main course was a simple filet and side of potatoes. Steak came out rare when I ordered medium; went back & came back charred. Au poive sauce had no taste. Chef clearly didn't care what he was sending out. Very disappointing after seeing the prior reviews. Staff were pleasant & atmosphere was as well. Really wanted to enjoy the meal but unfortunately a very subpar experience. Very nice wine selections to pair with, but again the food just wasn't up to par for the price. Better off at a high end chain steakhouse

Yelp
We had the bacon, porterhouse for 2 w/ truffle butter & shrimp, Brussels and cauliflower, mushrooms, and complimentary birthday lemon meringue. Everything was impressive start to end. Even the rolls were delicious!
