We've had brunch here for over a decade. The food is always delicious and the service is wonderful. Duck sandwich and Baltic Eggs Benedict are my favorites.

Whenever I have friends in from out of town I bring them to the Oak Tree. I always ask for a window seat because the 180 degree views from above the Water Tower are amazing. The food is elevated, sophisticated, yet approachable and always good. The wait can be a little long on the weekends for brunch, but if wait around it will be worth it. The menu has something for everyone, so even the pickiest eaters will enjoy it.

Just left... the hostess is the most rude individual I have met since my time here in Chicago. Just an unpleasant individual. If there was a perfume called ashtray... she’d wear it. Her breath and body smells like cigarettes. Food was not good at all and bathroom was dirty. Go there if you want to start your day off badly. But I love Chicago otherwise.

A very nice atmosphere for breakfast. The ceiling to floor windows give you a great view of Michigan Avenue. The food is quite solid. Your tastebuds aren't going to be blown away but you'll leave full and satisified.

Don't come here. The hostess and owner are just complete jerks. We're less than 24 hours from the loss of one of our best friends, staying in his apartment in the same building and not only did the hostess give us the most unbelievable attitude when we told her three more in addition to us three were coming down shortly, the owner, Hale, pretty much told us to scram. This all because we just wanted to sit down and order some food, and hopefully be joined in just a few minutes by the remaining three. The behavior was reprehensible. Sure, were totally reeling by what just happened, and that perhaps is tinting my view of what happened, but my goodness, the person who owns this place and his staff couldn't have shown any less understanding. They were simply awful. Our best friend lived in this building - we came here often, mostly because it was convenient. We will never set foot there again.

Horrible service and overall experience here. The hostess was so rude because I didn’t want to sit where she thought I should. She asked me what issue I had with her choice of seating. I told her I would just prefer the window seat and she relunctantly gave it to me. Her cigarette breath was dispicable. Also I vomited what I had eaten from here. This is the second time. The first time I thought it was maybe because I was sick at the time I ate. But that was two weeks ago and now it happened again.

My wife and I had breakfast there yesterday. I ordered the Baltic Eggs benedict. The menu listed eggs, hollandaise, salmon and caviar on muffin w/toast. Meal delivered was warm, not hot..but Ok. After I ate half, I realized they served the meal without the caviar. I asked the waitress about this and she said "oh yeah..the kitchen is out of caviar". Really? She knew it, the kitchen knew it and together they decided not to tell me about it? Perhaps hoping I would neither care nor notice. They decided to solve the problem they would deduct $3 from the bill. I've come to this restaurant for at least 15 years. I went there yesterday only because really awesome places like "Yolk" had lines around the block. We knew breakfast would be expensive but we were hungry and expected a high quality meal so what the heck. I will tell you any restaurant which is OK with cheating the customer is not a restaurant which I'd either recommend nor return.

This place should be closed forever. No wonder they’re losing business by the week. I vomited after eating here and just left the hospital. So did my aunt a day after eating here. The host was dispicable. Her cigarette breath alone made me more nauseous than the food. I was looking for the bathroom and accidentally walked into the kitchen and saw hell. The filth was dispicable.
