★★★★★ Hands Down the Best BBQ in Tulsa! The search for truly top-tier barbecue in Tulsa is officially over. Oakhart Barbecue is an absolute gem and a new must-visit for us. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the clean, rustic atmosphere. Let's talk about the food, because it is phenomenal. The brisket was everything you could hope for: juicy, rich, and bursting with incredible flavor. The ribs were the star of the show for me—perfectly tender with a satisfying bite, not that mushy fall-off-the-bone stuff. They had just the right amount of smoke and seasoning, with a subtle hint of sweetness that was absolutely delicious. We tried the cheese grits and beans for our sides this time, and both were fantastic. We've already got our eyes on the mac-n-cheese for our next visit, which looked equally amazing! A huge thank you to the cashier who asked if we wanted to try the banana pudding. Do NOT skip this! It was the perfect, creamy finale to an outstanding meal. We will most definitely be back for more of everything. This is a 5-star experience all the way. Helpful Tip: Parking is a bit limited, but there are spots available right behind the building!

So good. By the time we got there - 12:20 on a Tuesday - they were out of brisket and only had a half slab of ribs left, along with some turkey and balogna. We grabbed some fabulous ribs and turkey along with potato salad as that was the only side remaining (well, some chips too). Despite the limited choices, it was a wonderful lunch. We were told they make about 130 pounds of brisket per day and we were a bit unlucky due to some large orders. If you can, go early but even late was great.

Both the hubs and I agree, the bologna and pork ribs are delish (which is what I picked)! He got sliced brisket, turkey, and then the one beef rib that was a special. I will be the first to say that I'm not the best person to rate beef ribs as I'm not the biggest fan anywhere....if they are as big as what you see in the picture, then it tends to taste like roast and I'm not a fan. So I don't want to knock them for my preference that others might not have. The turkey was a slight bit dry, which happens with turkey. The sliced brisket was very lightly smoked.....hubs said it was okay. Both of us did not care for their bbq sauce, we believe its vinegar based in case you wonder. The beans were just pinto so nothing to write home about. I had Mac and cheese and it was just okay, the coleslaw was mild which I liked. I say try it out....we might give it another go another time.

This was probably some of the best barbecue I have ever had. The pork ribs were the stand out. Best ribs I have ever had, end of sentence. The brisket was really good too, but to me the ribs were better and at a slightly lower price. The sides were not as good, but to me sides aren’t the reason you get barbecue. I did have to wait in line, but it was almost cafeteria style in the way they served food and seating. Once I ordered I took my tray and ate. If you are hungry get a plate, but I think if I went back I would opt for a sandwich instead, since the hours really only allow for lunch. You could go stock up and reheat the meat later, but I don’t know if I would want to wait. Also, the staff were friendly and efficient.

Had the Pulled Pork Sandwich and Mac and Cheese. I will say the Pork and the Mac and Cheese was wonderful, the Pork was moist and seasoned wonderful the Mac and Cheese was good and creamy, noodles were boiled just right. The BBQ Sauce is good (seems more like a glaze, than sauce) Service is great and fast (good job y'all). My only complaint is with the bun, which is a good choice of bread IMO. But for me personally. I don't like a cold bun. I like a little butter on my bun and like it toasted, that to me really complements any style of BBQ Sandwich. The bun is the only reason for the 4 star.

02/11/2025 Here’s my return trip to Oakhart BBQ, my ratings will stay the same. We arrived @ 1155 and they were already sold out of some of the food I wanted for lunch, no brisket, no cole slaw, I had to make a different selection. I chose the Pulled Pork, Beans & Potato Salad. Beans were still the same, added BBQ sauce to try and improve also added Pulled Pork - mediocre. Potato Salad was meh! The Cole Slaw must be the big hit since it was sold out. Still had great service! The place was packed so my group of 3 got to share the table with another group of 3. Overall it was a good lunch. First time here and it was fine. Service was quick and a speedy checkout. To be honest not impressed with the potato salad, very bland. Luckily they were onions on my tray that I diced up and added along with pepper. It was salvageable! Beans were so so, I added BBQ sauce for additional flavor. The brisket was the highlight for me it was delicious! The ribs just medium! The inside tables were cleaned and had the good BBQ atmosphere. I don't make it to Tulsa as I would normally like but would have to give it a second go round as a comparison.

Google
Good - **** Had the 2-meat plate(brisket and ribs) along with potato salad and pinto beans. Loved the flavor of the ribs(fell off the bones) Brisket was sliced. Most of the brisket was soft and juicy but the edges were hard. Potato salad was good. Pinto beans were just ok. I also wish they had a really hot bbq sauce.

Google
Hidden gem, right at the edge of downtown! If you are going for lunch, go early because it gets very packed! I heard the burnt ends are good but I always miss them! I get the 3 Meat Plate; ribs, brisket and bologna w/ mac & cheese and coleslaw. Yummy!

Yelp
Tried this place out for the first time. These guys do it right. Got the three meat with two sides. Wasn't a huge fan of the bbq sauces but I typically don't use a lot if any. If you're a grown up and appreciate the work and flavor of the meat, this is your joint. Will be back. Ribs 9/10. Brisket 8.5/10 JalapeñoChed sausage 8/10 Cheese grits 8.5/10 Mac 9/10

Yelp
Parking was tough, the staff seemed kind of arrogant / rude, and the price was high relative to local prices for barbecue. Food-quality-wise, I think it's probably second best in town in terms of quality barbecue. If you are a value-driven consumer, my wife will never let us go there again because she thinks they're too expensive for the treatment that we got and the quality/amount of food for the money. She would rather go to RibCrib, or Albert G's by far. We really had a bad experience with the staff. We felt that they were condescending and rude. That being said, on a given day, you can go there and get solidly good barbecue. I can't rate them lower than four stars because the quality of the barbecue was solidly good. I know that it's hard to hire good people these days, but please do better...

Yelp
Is this my new favorite BBQ spot in Tulsa? Maaaaayyyybe. The service is exceptional. They are so genuinely happy you're there and are great about answering questions and giving recommendations. The brisket was our favorite, but everything was spot on. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Oakhart would give any Texas BBQ joint a run for their money. Everything was seasoned well and tender. Sides are the lesser loved sidekick, but the offerings at Oakhart are standouts in their own right. ..above average for sure. Worth a special trip if you're anywhere near the area. Banana pudding is solid, but not worth the calories. The restaurant is spotless and service is quick. Like any great smokehouse, they will run out of items so get there early. 4.4 stars.

Yelp
Came in at 12:25 PM on a Thursday afternoon and the place was packed. There was a decent waiting line that was moving through rather quickly. By the time I've reached the ordering counter, everything was pretty much sold out, only brisket and pulled pork left. Some of the sides were out as well, a little odd. I think this is the biggest problem with Oakhart BBQ at the moment. I've never cared for pulled pork so I was left with brisket. I was told Oakhart has the best brisket. Unfortunately, I only like ribs at a BBQ place. Don't get it wrong here, the brisket was good but I can't tell you if they are the best or not as they taste the similar to me. I am really happy to see a busy shop. I don't mind a shop being sold out of food. That's a good sign and indicates customers satisfaction. I am reviewing this based on the food I had and based on food, 4 stars for now.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick snack during our visit to Tulsa. I have eaten my fair share of BBQ while living in Dallas and Austin but I have to say this place is top 5. Turkey and brisket melt in your mouth. Mac and cheese is creamy deliciousness. Coleslaw too mayonnaise-y for me. Highly recommend you give Oakhart a try!!

Yelp
The Texas Legislature, first the House of Representatives in the Spring of 1999, then in the Fall of 2003, the Senate passed a resolution proclaiming Lockhart TX to be The Barbecue Capital of Texas. There are four BBQ restaurants in Lockhart. The restaurants estimate that about 5,000 people visit their establishments each week. This would be roughly 250,000 people a year who eat BBQ in Lockhart. I was born and raised in Texas, and have visited all 4 of these BBQ spots: Kreuz, Smitty's, Blacks, and Chisholm Trail...plus many others. When I moved to Oklahoma 14 years ago I will admit the homesickness for Texas Style BBQ was real. Most Oklahoma BBQ spots adopt their recipes and influences from the Kansas City style: sweeter rubs and sauces and I'm not going to lie, Smoked Bologna is still something I'm trying to wrap my head around & take regular joking jabs from my friends and family back in Texas when I tell them that some places do a pretty good job with it. The Heavens parted and the smell of post oak (the only wood accepted to smoke with in Central Texas BBQ) filled my lungs in 2021 when Oakhart BBQ opened here in Tulsa. Co-owners Brian Hodges and Chris Emmons proud Okies brought their love of Central Texas BBQ to Tulsa. Using the same smoker from world Famous Franklins BBQ in Austin TX that they fire-up at 3am every morning, to the post oak wood that is burned and to the commitment that runs soul deep in Texas that...BRISKET IS KING They even named this place after using the two influences of Texas Style BBQ Post OAK & LockHART....OAKHART This is craft style BBQ that showcases the flavors of the meat and smoke. Simple rubs of salt, black pepper and garlic and then you let the low and slow smoke do its work. The results are exceptional: Tender, juicy and a smoke flavored bark that takes me back to my childhood.‍ You can taste it in the smoked meats, including the brisket, pulled pork, pork ribs, turkey, jalapeño-cheddar sausage, beef sausage and beef ribs (served Saturday only). Oakhart also serves potato salad, coleslaw, cheese grits, mac and cheese and pinto beans which are served with a more savory flavor than sweet. Little chunks of smoked brisket are found swimming in the bean broth and are a delectable surprise

Yelp
You know how to tell if a bbq joint is good? They have random limited hours because they're too busy prepping and this place is legit! I got the two meat plate with brisket, pulled pork, pinto beans and coleslaw. Generous portion of pulled pork and a thick slab of brisket, natural smoke flavor all throughout with a nice crust on the Texas style brisket. The brisket was a little dry but still plenty tender and their table side spicy or regular bbq sauce was a great add on. You can also order lean brisket for an up charge. Coleslaw was good and beans had a lot of meat which is a nice surprise. Overall 4.5, great atmosphere, friendly service and will be coming back. Would love to see a a hot vinegar sauce as an add on for the pull pork but that might be more of a south thing.

Yelp
Underwhelmed. We came in late, so they were out of a lot, but we loved the refuge plates at Burnco...that's not happening here. We got brisket and 2 orders of pork. Brisket was tough...chopped brisket and it was tough...and the pork was cold. For sides we got potato salad...nothing special, pretty plain, and coleslaw, exceptionally bland. I wouldn't recommend either. The only other thing available was beans, and they make them with chicken stock...and I can't do bird. Their bar-b-que sauce is sweet with no bite...which makes it pretty in-impressive as well. Their hot sauce has a bit of heat, but also lacks flavor. Seating area was nice, clean and bright, serving young lady was super friendly and sweet... Best thing we had were the side of pickles... Different folks like different bar-b-que. This didn't light us up...and we're kinda bummed because we have watched this place since they started renovating and we were excited to finally have a chance to check them out...too bad it's not for us.

Yelp
I had a few BBQ places bookmarked when I visited Tulsa. This place wasn't my first choice. But it should have been. My first choice didn't work out. I was in line waiting to put in my order at the other place when a guy came out from the back with free samples of their ribs. I thought, Wow, how cool is this place? Handing out free ribs! This place kicks ass! As the worker worked his way down the line, I was fervently hoping he'd still have some left on his tray when he got to me. When he was three people away and I saw that he was going to have enough. Next thing I know he's handing me a rib. I realized right then I was in the wrong place. The rib he handed me was a Baby Back Rib. I didn't realize until just that moment that that other restaurant only sold Baby Back ribs. I'm not about Baby Back Ribs. If you are, that's great. I'm just not. When I want ribs, I greatly prefer spare ribs. You know, St Louis cut ribs. I ate the free sample and I have to admit it was absolutely delicious. It very possibly was the best Baby Back Rib I ever had. But there was no way I was going to eat a mess of them when I really had my heart set on some Spare Ribs. So I bailed on that other place and drove over here. Best move I ever made! Oakhart BBQ does Spare Ribs just exactly like I like them. The ribs here were absolutely perfect. Best ribs I've had in the last 40 years. No exaggeration. Those ribs were so good that I purposefully slowed down as I was eating them so I could savor every moment of the experience. Every bite was smoky pork perfection. The ribs had just the right amount of meat, and the meat had just the right degree of toothiness, tender, but not soft. Easy to bite off the bone, but not "falling off the bone." Just exactly perfect. I was absolutely ecstatic. And what made the meal even more remarkable were the sides. Most BBQ places have really lame sides. I absolutely hate the mediocre potato salad or weird watery coleslaw or beans that taste like they came out of a can kinds of sides you find all too frequently at typical BBQ joints. At most places I just throw the sides away barely touched. But the Oakhart BBQ sides are great. The BBQ beans were among the best I've ever had. They boasted a real smoky flavor and they were loaded with pieces of brisket. When I say loaded, I mean loaded. You could probably fish out enough pieces of brisket to make a sandwich if you wanted to. I couldn't believe how good those beans were. Damn! I also tried the Cheesy Grits. Another excellent side. They were the perfect compliment to the beans. With the beans and the ribs, it was a particularly satisfying combination. Since my first visit I've been back again. Although the ribs weren't quite as good the second time, it was through no fault of Oakhart BBQ. All ribs are not created equal. Some racks of ribs just aren't as good as some others. It's kind of the luck of the draw. But even though the ribs weren't stellar my 2nd visit, everything else was excellent. And I tried the Banana Pudding. OOooo-weeee that pudding is good. You gotta get the pudding! They've got some great customer service here at Oakhart. The guy in charge of the meat was very helpful, showing me the ribs and answering questions. The cashiers were super friendly and efficient. Mikey C says: See you next time I'm in town, Oakhart BBQ

Yelp
This 'Cue has been consistently delivering the past 2 years - for me. The line inconsistent. A few Saturdays, after zoo outings with kids, we pick up a to-go-decadent lunch. Otherwise, a few lunches with friends. As we all came out of COVID times, the line used to be more formidable. Of late, no problem! The brisket: best I've found in OK. You can request fatty or lean. Ahem:: whereas I question the merits of "lean" brisket:: my 6 y.o. daughter prefers the lean slices. Over 6-8 outings, the brisket has never had an off day for me. Sausage (usually they offer jalapeno-cheese and mildly-spicy beef) is solid. Preference for the jalapeno, which sometimes sells out. The pork rib is very sweet, very different (for instance) than the Hasty bake Burnco style, but still tasty. They offer beef ribs most Saturdays, but i have not yet taken the plunge. Brisket-drooling^ having been completed, I put sausage and turkey next in discussion. Side wise -- although i enjoy their pinto beans -- I think cheesy grits and mac & cheese are more the crowd pleasers. Also, don't forget to ask for their housemade pickles! In closing, let me say a word about the friendly staff. IF you think ahead, you can order online. Been awhile and i don't recall the details. TL/DR - Can join without much fuss- Noon on Saturdays, of late. Line seems to have cooled. Best brisket in town. Solid menu top to bottom, and friendly/ longterm staff.

Yelp
Honestly the best barbecue I have had! I got the pork ribs plate, and the meat was so tender, it pulled off the bone beautifully! Staff is friendly-- overall great experience and good food!

Yelp
Came for lunch at about 12:30 on a Tuesday. Had heard good things about their brisket. Parking lot was full and there was a lively lunch crowd. Went to the counter to order a brisket sandwich only to be told they're out of brisket. Disappointed, I settled for the BBQ baloney. It was either that or turkey. The baloney was good. Their hot sauce is hot and their mild is kind of sweet. I'll come back so I can try the brisket. I'll be there when they open at 11.

Yelp
The best BBQ I have had in Oklahoma, easily. Juicy/lean mix brisket in the sandwich, perfect with the BBQ sauce provided. The 1 LB brisket body was perfectly cooked, thicker cut, perfect amount of lean to juice. Will have to come back when I can get there closer to open to try some of the things I missed this time

Yelp
5 star in my books! Best brisket we have had in Oklahoma. My husband had the brisket and jalapeño sausage sandwich with mac & cheese and I had the chopped brisket sandwich with potato salad. Both were amazing and we will definitely be coming back again! We got the banana pudding for dessert and it was good. I thought it was a little too sweet but my husband loved it. Very friendly staff who greeted you with a smile and didn't rush you to order. Pretty laid back atmosphere with picnic tables and open seating.

Yelp
This spot is the perfect lunch spot located close to downtown Tulsa. Oakhart Barbecue has the wonderful smell of smoked meat as soon as you get out of your vehicle in the parking lot. As you enter into Oakhart Barbecue, the smell intensifies and begins to prepare those tastebuds for some excellent smoked meats. On this particular day, I decided to get the ribs with a side of their Mac and cheese. The food is prepared and weighed in front of you. You get the best and freshest seat in the house when ordering your food. The ribs were fantastic exploding with flavorful juices and the right amount of smoke that your "Hart" desires! The max and cheese is simply amazing... you can not go wrong! Accompanying my ribs was their house made bbq sauce that is great on flavor. Definitely worth a stop in while meats last... get there earlier than later for an optimized selection in meats!

Yelp
Always excellent. We love their grits, turkey, ribs, and brisket. I am also a huge fan of the pork belly burnt ends on Wednesdays! Service is always very quick and a friendly.

Yelp
Wow! You're lucky Tulsa to have such great Q! Able to chat with the pit master before they opened. Gave me the skinny... ribs and sliced brisket plate, beans and slaw. Just wow, meaty, flavorful ribs, juicy brisket just wet enough! Place was immaculate! I don't live in Tulsa but will be back sometime! Thanks!

Yelp
Best BBQ in Tulsa! Can't go wrong with any item! True Central Texas BBQ. Beef sausage and ribs are my go to if I can't get any point brisket. Get there early!!! After, enjoy banana pudding!!

Yelp
Always friendly and welcoming. Flavorful. Tender. One day Ill make it in before the hotlinks sell out. My second visit - Grabbed the giant baked potato today. Reasonable meat portion. Brisket again. Yum. Great price. Giant dining area. Jalapeño's are spicier than the spicy sauce, so go for it. Coca Cola on tap.

Yelp
Stopped in at noon so the sliced brisket was out. But I asked for the whole slices that they use for chopped brisket. It was still above average, but they smartly use it for chopped for a reason. The smoked bologna was nice and the pulled pork was super moist and tender. Beans were nothing special... potato salad was decent - I prefer a more chunky - this is more creamy. For me, the brisket is what I am after, so I will update once I get some of their best sliced moist and lean. Service was really good... restaurant is clean. (I don't buy the filthy dirty as an ambience thing!!) Killer brisket will upgrade them to 5 stars when I get a chance to return.

John M.

Yelp
Been there 2x. First time, too late - out of grits. Had brisket sandwich, which was excellent. Second time, had two meat plate with potato salad and cheese grits. Meats were brisket and ribs. Excellent. Strangely, my fave might have been the grits. Really need their recipe! But don't take that as a knock on the brisket and ribs!!! Only complaint is that i could only get through about 1/2. Took remainder home for dinner. Wife, not a big bbq fan, was hungry and finished it. She raved about it. Might have converted her to BBQ fan.

Yelp
At lunch time, we were in search of a barbecue place on our way to the airport. One place was closed, one place was out of the way, and the other place I had been to previously. This was the other on the list, it was right off the highway and on our way, and things happen for a reason. When we saw the menu on painters paper with painters tape on the wall and behind the service counter, we at first thought it was a joke, like they are putting together a formal menu board, but indeed, this was the plan! And it worked. The restaurant was super clean, staff was super professional, knowledgeable and friendly. When struggling to decide between ribs and brisket, staff decided to give us a taste of the brisket. Wow. No other words necessary. Convinced just by seeing it and then double convinced by tasting it. Tender, juicy, natural, just the right amount of fat and the perfect amount of smoking and seasoning. Not wanting to insult the pork ribs, which looked equally marvelous, we opted for combo platters. This was absolutely a smart choice because we were so satisfied with both brisket and ribs. Our sides were all homemade and excellent. My unsweetened tea was really nicely brewed and tasty. Prices were reasonable for what you're getting. The gentleman told us that nobody was from Texas but they stole the Texas style and they certainly did good by it. This was without a doubt better brisket than the other place I ate at on my last visit. However, I don't know about the barbecue sauce because I didn't put anything on this brisket... It didn't need it... So I have no idea if they have homemade sauce or don't even offer sauce because the meat doesn't need it! When you come to tulsa, this is your barbecue joint, hands down.

Yelp
This is destination 'cue at its finest! $53.06 purchased two plates-- the first brisket with coleslaw and cheesy grits, the second ribs with cheesy grits and pinto beans. A jalapeno cheddar sausage, and two banana puddings, completed the order. Everything we tried proved exceptional. The fatty brisket was well smoked, moist, tender, and blessed with a slightly understated version of the classic central Texas rub. The ribs separated cleanly at the bite, and again the rub was sufficiently understated to allow the flavor of the meat to shine. The sausage was more cheesy than most, and very good, while both the grits and pinto beans were superb. The coleslaw, in turn, is one of those clean, palate cleansing bites that is ideal on a plate with two or more meats. Finally, the banana pudding was light, and not overly sweet, which is just the way we like it. All in all, we would rate Oakhart one of the three best 'cue joints of the fourteen that we have visited statewide.

Yelp
Probably the best barbecue you will have in Oklahoma! I came for the San Antonio area and am a total barbecue snob and this is my go to for brisket! You have to try it!!!

Michaela S.

Yelp
Very clean, nice employees, very good food! We got the three meat plate - ribs, pulled pork, and brisket. Ribs were fall off the bone good! Comes with 2 sides, we got macaroni and potato salad. Macaroni was very good and had a Smokey taste. Potato salad had big chunks of potato. Came with 2 pieces of bread. Bbq sauce was sweet and tangy. Husband said the spicy bbq sauce had a good kick. They had a steady flow of people coming and were quick with orders. Only one high chair but that was fine! Would come back!

Yelp
Visited here on Cinco De Mayo, 2022. My boss and I were visiting Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, for a work conference. We had visited another BBQ joint near our hotel, and it was average. Our friend, who lives in nearby Mounds, Oklahoma, had recommended this place and promised to meet us here for lunch on our last day. He said the bbq here had blown his mind. Before even walking in, I smelled the smoky, seductive meat aroma. The website warned that they could run out of meat, and our friend backed this up from experience. They are only open for lunch, from 11-3 PM, from Tuesday through Saturday. We arrived at 12:20 PM, and luckily, they were only out of the Jalapeno Cheddar sausage. I quickly ordered the two-meat plate, with pork ribs and USDA prime brisket. The brisket oozed juices when sliced in front of me. It had a wonderful bark and looked perfectly cooked. My meal came with two sides, and I selected the mac and cheese and the cheese grits. The pork ribs had meat falling off the bone with a wonderful smoky taste and that brisket floored me. The succulent meat with the beautiful bark rub tasted tangy and zesty. You can add bbq sauce, but the meat could easily stand alone. The mac and cheese pasta shells had a nice cheddar taste, and the cheesy grits were just a bit too thick (but I'm nit picking there). This place had much better bbq than we could ever dream of in New Mexico. For that wonderful lunch, I paid $19. Well worth the price if you consider the quality and taste of the food. If you're ever in Tulsa for lunch, other than a Sunday or Monday, stop by here. Just remember to come early or the selection could be extremely limited.

Kevin W.

Yelp
The ribs deserve 5 stars alone. Best I have ever had. Did not line the baked beans. Mac and cheese good, pulled pork was good but the ribs were amazing!

John M.

Yelp
Food was excellent but had run out of grits. Next time we'll get there earlier. Big Shiner sign on wall, but they don't sell beer. Heart broken. Will securely go again.

Yelp
We were on our way to another restaurant when we saw this place. It's been getting a lot of buzz lately so we decided to stop in. I got the brisket plate and my husband got the pulled pork sandwich. Pros: Cleanish restaurant and bathrooms. Accepts credit cards. Not the worst BBQ in Tulsa. I'd eat here again if it was someone else's choice. Cons: parking a pain. Open inconvenient hours. Not the best BBQ in Tulsa. Everything was just OK. The brisket was moist, but not that flavorful. The sauces were decent.

Yelp
So excited for another BBQ spot in town. I would say this place does a lot of things well but def could step up a few things. We got a mix of ribs, brisket and jalapeño sausage with beans and slaw. The ribs were great, not overly smokey, a little over cooked in my opinion but still great and hard to find any other ribs comparable from a restaurant. The brisket was good, cooked well, just needed a little more black pepper to have that Texas flavor I was hunting for. The sausage was also great, spicy with a good snap. The sides are where things are lacking. The beans were so plain and unexciting. No bbq flavor at all, reminds me of just brown beans. Added some of both sauces and it helped. The slaw was also somewhat lacking balance it was just sweet and creamy, a splash of vinegar would really elevate the flavors. The sauce was also nothing special, I'm not generally a big bbq sauce girl bc I like to actually taste the meat but I think both the regular (really sweet) and the vinegar (needs balance, pretty much tastes just like acv) could use improving. Overall I was happy with it, commercial BBQ is challenging to get right and these guys are on the right track.

Yelp
The BBQ is amazing! We have been coming here since they opened the location at third and Peoria. We have never had anything bad, the sides, and even the service is always amazing. I could go on about the meat but you honestly have to try it for yourself to appreciate the amazing flavors. Go on Tuesdays for the bacon candy, it never disappoints!

Yelp
Delicious food. We have ordered it twice in a catering scenario and once at home. Good brisket, ribs and sides. Not too sweet or smoky. Recommend for friend, football or other gatherings.

Yelp
Best Texas style BBQ in town. Get there early to ensure all the food is available. Hook um!

Yelp
best bbq in town hands down. Space is a little small and can get hot, but the food is worth it. All the meats are great of course but all the sides are outstanding as well. I personally get two servings of the cheese grits, they are delicious.

Yelp
We used Oakhart for our rehearsal dinner. Guests were beyond impressed and didn't stop talking about the meal the entire wedding weekend. Oakhart was easy to work with and allowed us to pick up later than they normally prefer. It was genuinely a great experience. Just solidified my loyalty to my now favorite bbq in the Tulsa area. #1 Fans.

Yelp
Amazing BBQ!!! Sliced brisket was the most tender, flavorful meat! We also enjoyed the sausage. They were out of all meat except brisket, pulled pork and sausage. That was a little disappointing especially on a Saturday at noon. The hours are Tues-Sat 11a-3p. Get ready to spend some $. We ordered the two meat tray for $19 each. The sides need a little work but those are normally specific to each persons taste buds. A suggestion would be to add baked beans or bbq beans, instead of ranch style. Potato salad was creamy and whipped textured. One other suggestion is to get new open topped trash cans. Pushing open the door to throw away trash was extremely messy while holding a greasy tray. Overall because of the brisket was really good- I am giving Oakhart BBQ 4 st

Yelp
After a trip to Austin where I dined at staples like Franklin, Smitty's, Black's, etc. I've become a bit of a bbq snob. It's gotten to the point where I ended up learning how to smoke my own brisket and ribs because I yearned so much for those Texas flavors. Oakhart deserves to be mentioned amongst those central Texas greats. There is a reason they are selling out by 1 o'clock. It's that good. I'm embarrassed I ever ate anywhere else in Tulsa. I'm honestly considering rationing my intake because of the amount of meat I'm now consuming on a weekly basis, haha. But seriously, just go. They keep the rub simple with salt and pepper, and the sauce, while yummy, isn't even necessary to enjoy the incredible smoky flavors. The brisket will pull apart at the slightest touch, the ribs falling off the bone, and the turkey is juicy and delicious. You can tell they've been smoked all night over a delicious oak fire! I'm off sides right now to try and minimize my calorie intake, but the mac and grits were excellent when I tried them. Plus, the people are really cool and clearly work hard to have an amazing product. 10/10!

Yelp
Finally stopped by here on Saturday and got some brisket and jalapeño cheddar sausage to go & wow! Wish I would've tried this place sooner. The service was great and they even let everyone in line try some of the brisket before they ordered. I am a sucker for cheese sausage and the jalapeño cheddar sausage was fabulous. 10/10 would recommend, although go early because I arrived around 11:10 and it was already busy!

Yelp
Brisket was really dry, it was extremely disappointing, however the sausage was solid

Yelp
I enjoyed Oakhart! The staff was friendly. I went close to closing time so unfortunately they were out of several items. I got sliced brisket (8/10), potato salad (9/10) and beans (7/10). The brisket was juicy but a few parts were a little cold and dry assuming because it was end of the day. Potato salad was the best. SO GOOD. Not perfect but soo yummy! Beans just needed more flavor. I recommend. I was stuffed even though the portions looked small.

Yelp
Oklahoma, you have a new contender for "best bbq joint"! We had the two meat plate, with ribs and brisket ( fatty end). Perfectly done oak-smoked brisket, juicy and tender. The ribs were perfectly done, too. The rub wasn't overly sweet or peppery. The only thing keeping this place from being my 5 star favorite is that the sides need some imagination. The potato salad is just average, like anyone else's, and the cole slaw the same. They do offer cheese grits but I didn't try them. Let's perk up these sides with something a little more unique and special!

Yelp
This place opening is part of the start of the 3rd and Utica area as Tulsa's BBQ district. Including Oakhart there will be 3 bbq joints in the immediate vicinity with another two VERY close by. With all the breweries already in the area this part of town should be called the Brews and "Q" district. Today was their public opening and as I figured there was quite a line to get in. No Covid protocols that I could see, I was the only person in there with a mask and it didn't appear there was spaced seating either. I ordered my stuff to go so I got 1lb of the fatty brisket and a jalapeno sausage link. The brisket is done well although not as smokey as I prefer, and the bark I got wasn't as seasoned as other Central Texass bbq spots have theirs. Very good tho. The sausage was juicy although it is disappointing that it didn't come sliced up (if u were going to eat there it could be tough cutting with plastic utensils). They have a house bbq sauce that is rather different as it seems to have quite a bit of curry in it. I don't usually use sauce for brisket unless it's dry and lean. They do sell individual ribs but for the price I would likely just get a half rack. Didn't ry the sides although the mac and cheese looked pretty good. They are still working out their service kinks as most places do on their first day but they def had peeps moving through. All in all not a bad start for Oakhart and I will def be keeping an eye on their progress especially with all the bbq competition popping up in the area.

Yelp
My first time in, and it won't be my last time. I got brisket, ribs, and links; as a BBQ judge, I was amazed how tender and juicy the brisket was with a perfect bark on it and the right amount of seasoning. The links were right also; the ribs fell off the bone. In short, I will be glad to return. Thank you so much for sharing your great flavors of BBQ.

Yelp
As a girl from Texas, I give this place my stamp of approval. I meant to take a photo of my food, but it's already gone... that should be enough to let you know how good it is. Would recommend the brisket and ribs. All sides are good, so go crazy! Authentic BBQ. FINALLY!!!

Yelp
Over the top BBQ. We recommend everything. I love love their chicken. We have traveled 20 states and have found this is the best BBQ bar none.
