Oakland Fortune Cookie Factory is a great place to get custom fortune cookie bags! I am rather proud of this one gift idea I had, and they helped me realize it. I was visiting my old friends and colleagues back in Texas and wanted to bring them a unique Bay Area gift. So I had Google Bard write me poems about the times we had together. I split the lines between fortune cookies such that they could be reconstructed via rhyme. (A better idea would have been to use an acrostic: next time!) I then sent the excel files with the poetry lines for each bag to the factory, and they finished the bags well before the deadline, i.e. my flight. They were very responsive via email re requirements and scheduling throughout the process. Everything was very easy and smooth, zero stress. Each bag was thoughtfully labeled and color coded so I wouldn't get them mixed up between the two recipients (pic). Everyone loved opening the cookies and reconstructing the poems, and the cookies were real handmade fortune cookies, and were delicious! I strongly recommend emailing the Factory next time you wanna have a tasty gift for your friends.

This place is magical! I flew in from Texas and had a rush request. Went to the storefront and Alicia greeted me and my cousin with a smile and was ready to calm the situation! We put in our customize order with two different messages for our party guest! We received a text saying it was ready within the DAY! Woohoo Event activity SAVED! Oh yes when you are there buy one of the special Fortune Cookies - not only are they BEAUTIFUL - THEY ARE TASTY! Yummy! Great Customer Service and AFFORDABLE pricing PLUS it Taste Good! FYI- These are great party favors and can use as an event game! Try Them Out!

We ordered custom fortune cookies for our Oakland based wedding celebration. The cookies were tasty and decorated very nicely - perfect shades of green to match our wedding theme colors. Our guests loved eating them and finding the custom message slips (we had 4 different ones) in our cookies. It was a great way to support a locally owned business on our special day.

We ordered chocolate dipped custom fortune cookies on a Tuesday and picked them up the following afternoon! They tasted fresh, delicious, and not too sweet. Great customer service too!

The product is amazing. Customer service was excellent. We were in a huge hurry to get the cookies as it was a last minute idea, and they managed to get them to us by the time we needed them. Thank you so much! We will be ordering again soon.

Highly recommend! I had fortune cookies shipped to five friends in different parts of the country for a Lunar New Year Zoom celebration. The fortune cookies were a huge hit! Each package arrived with a personal note. The cookies were beautiful, fresh, and delicious! A special treat for any occasion!

Today we went there to purchase fortune cookies after confirming business hours. Pushed doorbell, knocked, sent text and called. Waited an hour and a half!! When their team finally returned from lunch they served another customer and held private conversations among themselves rather than sell us fortune cookies we’d waited an hour and a half to buy. Incredibly rude business. Strongly suggest you don’t buy product from this poorly run business. Yes, we waited an hour and a half for your team to return and reopen your business. We rang the doorbell several times waiting for some time between each attempt. We then thought the doorbell may be broken and knocked on the door several times, waiting between each attempt for someone to open the door. When neither the of these worked we banged on the metal warehouses door several times again waiting between each attempt and also called into the garage area through the slightly open bottom of the metal warehouse door. Nothing brought someone to front door. Next we rang the doorbell and knocked several times again waiting between each attempt to give time for someone to come to the door. I then sent a text message to the phone number listed on your front door but after waiting again there was no response. All of these efforts took about an hour as we waited on the sidewalk in front of your business. As a last attempt to get someone to come to the door I called the number listed on your front door, reaching your answering service at approximately 1:45, and they connected me with a man who was apparently at lunch with your team. He said they would return in 20 minutes but in fact it was more than 30 minutes while we continued to wait on the sidewalk in front of your business. In total we waited an hour and a half. To then be accused by you of lying about this is beyond comprehension. As your team arrived they continued their personal discussions without assisting us so we decided to leave — there were no apologies offered that we could discern as you claimed. Very rude after we waited so long to purchase some fortune cookies! Your posted business hours are 10-4. There was no note on the door stating the business was closed and would reopen at a specific time later in the afternoon or that you regretted any inconvenience this might cause. If there had been such a notice we would not have waited for so long. After all of this you accused me of lying about the situation and that we were unreasonable to leave while you continued your personal discussions. Incredible. We live next to the Oakland Chinese community and support their businesses weekly. We will continue to do this but don’t intend that support your business in the future. We suggest others avoid it as well.
