don’t use them if you need to buy a cake for an event when I called and placed my cake order, I was given options as to what kind of frosting what kind of cake I stated whipped frosting white cake. She asked me if I wanted a cream filling or raspberry filling, and I said raspberry filling. I just need the sides, smooth and no border along the bottom or top cause I had a edible design that I needed to put around the cake. The woman on the phone told me I would have to go to the Washington location for this. I said that is fine and the cake will be ready at 2 PM. The day of the party I got there around 2:40 I was greeted and helped right as I walked through the door. I thought they couldn’t find my cake. I waited for that person who went to look for 25 minutes. person was in the back looking for my cake. He comes out with a cake that has piping all around the sides and the top and I told him my cake is supposed to be smooth side, smooth top no piping white whipped frosting a woman came and told me that was not an option. I feel like my cake was probably made properly and then as I picked it up, they decided to add all this piping. I told him I had a edible display that I had to put around the cake and I cannot do it like this, but I asked him to remove that piping, and she said that they cannot being it was the day of the event and I still needed a cake for my daughter‘s birthday. I thought let me bring it home and try to fix it myself so that I can put the display on it. She offered me a $10 discount. It wasn’t even a white cake. It was a yellow cake. I ended up having to last minute run to Pick N Save and buy a premade cake that was too small for me to put all my decorations on one cake, but thank God for Pick N Save‘s bakery they saved the day I said all that to say, don’t use this place if you want a specific look cause they’re going to give you what they want to give you and charge you for it

Dulce de Leche Paczki: O&H Danish Bakery opened in 1949 and has been family owned for four generations. Although they’re known primarily for their Kringles, one of their unique seasonal offerings is paczki. A paczki is sometimes confused with a doughnut, but there are some key differences. Paczki are denser, richer, and chewier because they contain more eggs, butter, and enriching ingredients like high-gluten flour and grain alcohol. Like a bismark doughnut, they are deep-fried dough, filled with confiture (yuck) or other sweet filling, and are usually covered in powdered sugar, icing, or glaze. They originated in Poland as a way to use up leftover ingredients that are considered rich in flavor before the start of lent. Don't feel bad if you've never heard of paczki as they are a regional treat in the U.S. (primarily in the Midwest). Even though I've lived in the Midwest my entire life, I've avoided paczki as I find fruit filling to be gross (like traditional prune, really!?). O&H solved my problem with their new Dulce de Leche Paczki. It's absolutely stuffed with smooth caramel custard, topped with rich caramel icing, and teeming with crunchy toffee bits and a few chocolate chunks. My paczki was huge and hefty thanks to all that filling, and they did not skimp like some doughnut shops notoriously do. To be honest, I did not notice any difference with the texture compared to that of a doughnut (not a complaint, just observation). Another observation is it looked different from the stock photo and even some of the others on display. Specifically, it had significantly less chocolate chunks and way more toffee. I was disappointed initially, but it ended up being irrelevant because what surprised me the most was the crunchy toffee bits. The texture and flavor were fantastic, while on the other hand the chocolate was overly bitter. In the end, I chose wisely for my first ever paczki, Doughboy approved 😋 Doughboy_Food_Reviews *I hope this is back next year and that they continue to experiment with non-fruit flavors, like Nutella and cookie butter. It would be nice if paczki were available for a week or so instead of one day, but there might be a logistical reason for that or they're just traditionalists. I also want to note that I chose O&H over several other local bakeries for my first paczki for a few key reasons: 1. Online ordering 2. Multiple locations (one was conveniently near me) 3. Flavor selection 4. Price

I wish that I would have taken pictures of the kringles before I ate them, but oh my gosh are they wonderful. My colleagues were talking about them for more than 15 minutes over a networking dinner, and still they exceeded expectations! Highly recommend the cherry Kringle!

We had a great experience having O&H cupcakes at our wedding! They were a huge hit, with lots of different flavors that were all delicious. And the staff was very helpful with planning for the big day. Thank you!

Google
Ok, so I went there for the first time and I would like to say how amazed I was at all the different pastries they have. Pictures do not do it justice. I made it out of there with just a few items as I am from out of town and couldn't take as much as I wanted to. I figured I could go ahead and still lose those last few pounds until they told me "We ship!" Great, so much for getting skinny. If you are a fan of Kringle pastries, they have a huge assortment of flavors. Don't say I didn't try to warm you though as you will be stocking up! The photo is of their chocolate raspberry sweet loaf

Best kringles ever! Nice danish bakery offering delicious treats! The pumpkin pie is so delicious, its a must try! You can get sime coffee and a bakery item and enjoy at their outdoor seating and beautiful scenery. Lots of parking!

This is the second location I visit, I normally go to the Oak Creek one, but this one is thousand times better. The people working were very kind and the baking goods are delicious! We normally get the amazing Kringles, but today we got some donuts for a change, and they were delicious as expected. Additionally, the atmosphere was great, loved all details in their decoration.

So much to choice from but I had tonget Kringle. Very fresh and delicious.

Yelp
Great pastries and great service. The cinnamon pastry that I had was to die for. This is the best bakery in town! They have a rewards program and a gift section. They have a sit-down area and great options for coffee and even lunch. I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
I was first introduced to a Kringle many, MANY years ago when a dear friend sent us one as a Christmas gift. While I really enjoyed it, when I researched it on the internet and saw how much it would cost to buy it again for myself I felt it was not a luxury that I could afford to enjoy at that time. When Trader Joe's opened in Colonie, NY in 2012 I happened to see Kringle for sale at a price that I could certainly afford (about $10). In fact, that price was about a third of what it would cost to order it online and have it shipped directly to you. I soon realized that Kringle seemed to be a seasonal product for TJ's. The flavor in January - February was pecan; in March - April, raspberry; in September - October, pumpkin caramel; November - December, almond. Frequently, one of the seasonal flavors would be sold out within a week or two of its arrival and I found myself frequently stopping into TJ's just to see if the Kringle had arrived yet. I also saw on the Kringle website, https://www.kringle.com/, that they had a weekly drawing for a free Kringle. I not only started entering every week, I also created an account with them. I was fully addicted! By providing my birthdate when I initially signed in they now send me a $5 discount offer toward an online purchase during my birth month. Once you see all the flavors that are available that you do not have access to through TJ's you may be tempted to take advantage of that discount. Hey! It's your birthday gift to yourself and it only comes around once a year. In addition to the flavors available at TJ's I've now also enjoyed Copenhagen, Cream Cheesecake, and this year Cinnamon Roll. The Cinnamon Roll was delicious even though it might not be my favorite among the more than half dozen flavors that I've now had. My final cost this year, including shipping, $30.73. They offer advice on how to order online so that your Kringle arrives as fresh as possible. I placed my order this year requesting a Tuesday ship date with an estimated Thursday delivery. I received an email on Monday that my Kringle had been baked, was being shipped by UPS , and I was provided with a tracking number. The Kringle arrived on Wednesday. While the Kringle at TJ's is packaged on a sheet of coated cardboard in a wax bag, the online-ordered Kringle is on a plastic tray inside the wax bag and shipped inside a sturdy cardboard box sealed in plastic wrap. O&H Danish Bakery also has five brick and mortar locations in Racine, WI. If you've never had Kringle, try one at your nearest Trader Joe's.

Yelp
Apparently the Vikings brought orange cats to the world, Kringle to Wisconsin, and football to Minnesota. So they weren't just about burning and pillaging. This is a cute shop where you can also get coffee, breakfast sandwiches, other fresh baked pastries and gifts, but the real attraction are the many choices of Kringle.

Yelp
Love this place! The Kringles are always so fresh. The staff is super friendly and helpful. It's always so nice to come here everything looks so good! It's not a huge store but perfectly organized I enjoy coming here so cozy and welcoming.

Yelp
Wanna know what is made here at this bakery? Why the most delicious Kringles ever. I was introduced to the world of Kringles many years ago as we had some friends that would always send us one for Christmas. Kringles come in many flavors but I really love the Pecan Kringles. This tasty dutch treat is melt in your mouth luscious yum. I have tried the almond, raspberry, chocolate flavors but I always come back to the pecan flavor as my first choice. You can order them directly from this bakery and they will ship one or however many you order right to your door. They also sell them at Trader Joes. They sell by season. Pecan is sold usually right around Easter. They are reasonably priced at $9.99 and a little more expensive when you buy directly from O&H Danish Bakery. In addition to the Kringles, this bakery also sells danish coffee cakes, hand made danish layer cakes, pastries, brownies, cupcakes, Scandinavian breads, gluten free and special diet items, gift packages etc. These make great gifts to share with friends. It is a good thing that I don't live close to this bakery as I would be there every week making a purchase. I wish I had a picture to share but I already ate the evidence! ;-))

Yelp
The pastries were excellent! As well as the chicken spread! The best pastries we have ever had! The service was amazing, Colton was great, very kind and packaged the pastries carefully. The bakery is beautiful and would be a great place to hangout with friends/family. We will definitely be back again!

Yelp
Being half Italian, with a smattering of several other European countries, and having had Eclairs from at least a dozen different places (including Italy) over the years, I feel that I'm well qualified to know what makes a good Eclair. Around my town, finding a good Eclair won't happen. :-( And, finding a place online isn't as easy as is with most other foods So, using Amazon, I ordered (accidentally 2) boxes. Now, rather than shipping both in one box (there was plenty of room), they shipped them separately. :-( I delayed posting a review because I tried three different thawing methods. 1. 2 hour quick thaw at room temperature: Left the shell a bit wet, and soggy. Also, the filling wasn't 100% thawed. 2. 8-10 hrs in the refrigerator: Fully thawed. But, the ganache topping was still a bit solid. 3. 20 hrs in a sealed container in the fridge: Fully thawed. However, this seems to have caused the sugar in the topping to rise, as it tasted too sweet. Also, there was a slight aftertaste that I didn't care for (perhaps too many unnecessary ingredients?). Though, it doesn't last long, between this, and the sugary taste, I don't think I'll finish them off. Now, they taste good, and have filling in almost every bite (which is better than I can say for many other places, including my favorite place in Phoenix, AZ). But, as you can see by the one photo, they are quite small. So, this makes them very expensive. But, to help satisfy a craving, or once every year, or two, then it may be worth it. Though, after having 3 in 2 weeks, I don't think I'll be able to finish them (may even throw I rest out).

Yelp
Fantastic Bakery! I have always seen them on TV and was surprised to see them as I was driving by, I did not know they were not as far away as I thought. I had to stop!! They have a drive through for kringle! I did go in to see what they had. It was wonderful! The staff was really friendly. They had donuts, kringle, cakes and more! They had sandwiches and food you could eat in if you were interested in lunch too. I got some fresh kringle to share with the family for Independence Day. My friend and I tried their donuts-they were light and fluffy just like a great donut should be. They had strudel and cookies and more. I was so happy I stopped. I will be going back to try some more baked goods soon!
google avatar

Amy S.

Yelp
Lots of bakery and deli options. We stopped in on Good Friday and they had tons of cute Easter cakes/treats! Will def come back to order lunch, looked like they had sandwiches and made to order options. Out of everything the Kringle is a must try no matter what

Yelp
Hello folks. I am writing this review because I want all of you to know that taking a trip to O&H bakery is definitely worth the trip I strongly recommend the location on Washington Avenue is the best one although they do have other locations but they are a little smaller than the one on Washington Avenue bigger store means more choices for you to take home with you. The store is very clean and full of goodies for you to take home. The bakery is top-notch and of course, including the Kringle, which Racine, is most famous for. This family's been around for years since the 70s or even more, so they definitely know how to do the bakery right for you. The service is pretty darn good no complaints there and of course you have to take a number but their staff is pretty quick and flight to get you what you need and get you out of there ASAP. So people I know you have that sweet tooth just like I do, so I definitely recommend going to this place on Washington Avenue but they do have other locations. They're just not as big as this main location on Washington Avenue. Thank you, take care, and enjoy! God bless.

Yelp
A nice variety of fresh pastry to indulge on makes your selection very difficult. They also have Kringles that you can share with friends and family. My go to place when in the area!
google avatar

Yelp
O&H Kringle is excellent too! I'll have to get it from here! Great variety of fall flavors too!
google avatar

Yelp
I happened to find the almond Kringle at trader Joe's before Christmas. I have never bought them before, they were a huge hit. I bought two and they were gone. I looked them up online and they have many flavors and also many yummy sounding treats. I will definitely purchase from the online store in the future. 12-28-23

Yelp
O&H is worth the trip up to WI. Their world renowned Kringle is amazing. Been coming here awhile, and somehow failed to review. Think I have been so mesmerized by this place. I'm certainly a big kid in a bakery shop. Everything in here is delicious. O&H's kringle, donuts are the best. New fav now is garlic toast chips. There are various locations in WI, however this location is my fav.
google avatar

Matt C.

Yelp
What a great store. Tasty Kringle, super service and fun ambience. The prices aren't what they used to be, but you get what you pay for, right? Love that you can get a travel box for 2+ Kringle.

Yelp
It was amazing ! Love all the flavors and we tried several Fresh delicious and great item to take as a gift when traveling

Yelp
So disappointed in the quality of O & H. It continues to go down hill the larger the business gets. The OG O & H was great. Gone is the traditional flakey crust for Kringle and pastries. Came to town to visit family and they had 2 O & H Kringle waiting for us (almond and cherry). First time ever we threw out part of a Kringle. The dough was thick and way too much frosting. A week late later we purchased Seven Sisters and donuts. Also disappointed in those. Again the pastries were thick and not flakey and the thick frosting on the Seven Sisters took away from the flavor. Sad that visitors no longer get the delicious flakey Kringle of days past.

Abigail A.

Yelp
What a cool business and such delicious pastries! My first introduction to the Danish cringle is what they sell at. Trader Joe's, but this place is so much better! They had a section with shelves full of different flavors of cringles, and their main counter area had a bunch of different desserts and pastry items for sale. They also have a refrigerated section full of various baked goods that you can bake at home as well as some food items. It is very popular place so I would recommend getting there early. You can't go wrong with any of their pastry items! I highly recommend their blueberry Kringle!
google avatar

Linda B.

Yelp
Couldn't wait to go to this flagship store. It's pretty much like the other on Douglas Avenue with made to order sandwiches and bakery selections, as well as other goods must be a good tourist spot as people were outside taking pictures. The eclairs are the best I've ever had as well as other bakery items. Very fresh and quality ingredients
google avatar

Yelp
I bought a fresh bear claw today and the recipe has changed. It was good, but not amazing like the old recipe.

Yelp
This was one of the best things I've ever had! Living in Chicago, I'm quite surprised that I've never heard of this place before. Also surprised I've never heard of the Kringle. I was introduced to this by coworkers in Milwaukee. I read reviews and I agree, it's worth the trip to go get some Kringles. Can't wait to go back. One of the few places that gets a 5 star from me. If you love desserts, you will not be disappointed.
google avatar

PJ C.

Yelp
We do love the O&H Kringles especially the almond flavor but we usually get them at Trader Joes when they carry them around some of the holidays. I suppose if we lived closer to Racine we might stop at an actual O&H though the prices here were at least $2 more than at Trader Joes! I could not believe the price when they rang up at $11each! At this location there were plenty of other sweet treats including some tempting donuts but we passed on those given we had two Kringles in hand. Five stars for the tasty Kringle and three stars for the price equals a four!
google avatar

Lillie B.

Yelp
Looking for a fresh bakery, this is your place! We stop for fresh bread or desserts. Also enjoy their lunch menu. A few tables to eat inside. Great service!
google avatar

Brianne C.

Yelp
Stopped in during a weekend trip to the area to get danish to take home. Flavor variety on a Sunday morning was lacking - there were mostly just almond and cherry available. I was able to find the last pecan as well. The Kringle itself was delicious! They offer shipping/traveling boxes that fit 3 Kringle inside but they cost $2. The donuts looked good and they had some cute gift type items as well. Checkout was quick.
google avatar

Kourtney K.

Yelp
Delicious food, delightful atmosphere and super friendly staff! Went in for Kringle and discovered a ton more treats that would be sure to put a smile on anyones faces.
google avatar

Erica M.

Yelp
They have a good product, but their online ordering system is the worst. Placed a delivery date for next week and it shipped today anyways. Ordered for a party next week and now I'll have to throw it away.
google avatar

Noemi R.

Yelp
It was a good experience. I had coffee there too, coffee they serve in this location was from Colectivo. We bought a cream cheese Kringle it was good not over the top sweet so that was good. We also bought a pastry I forgot the name of it but it was also a ring filled with custard and it had almonds on top that one was my favorite. The workers were really friendly and patience with us. We didn't really stay there to eat anything we bought it to go. We did use the restrooms and they were clean. Overall a good bakery!!

Yelp
Started going to O&H recently based upon a recommendation. From the moment we walked in, the staff was genuinely friendly and welcoming. We had coffee, breakfast sandwiches and assorted danishes- all of the items were super delicious. We were going to take the order with us but the indoor seating was very nice so we stayed and enjoyed our goodies there. The store seems very clean as doe the grounds and parking outside. oh, and yes, we brought a kringle home with us for friends and they loved it so much they are now planning a trip to Racine to buy more. So glad O&H is open on Sundays too! :-)

Yelp
Service great ambiance great food awful how they still in business bakery items big have no test

Laurel S.

Yelp
A Shipping delay and poor customer service options made for a disappointing experience. The expedited order arrived late, three business days after promised, with no time left to enjoy, due flights and departures. Customer service offered to refund the expedited shipping amount and offered more product. Product is no longer needed, so declined it. Expected shipping was a fail.

Joanne F.

Yelp
Danish was ordered in time for Christmas and unfortunately still has not arrived two days after. Customer service says they are not responsible for meeting their shipping timeline or providing a refund for the product.

Dave B.

Yelp
Until today I had never heard of a Danish Kringle. The folks behind the counter (Ben!) allowed my wife and me to try one (Almond)! WOW, wow, wow!! One of the best pastries we've ever tasted! New building, great food, excellent service. OH Bakery gets my highest recommendation!

Warren D.

Yelp
We have been searching for the perfect baker to supply the cupcakes for our upcoming wedding and since I love the Kringle here, I had high hopes for the cupcakes as well. While I thought they were fine, my fiancé was not impressed. The price can't be beat, $1 for a nice-sized cupcake with a light, tasty frosting. Flavors are limited as they only come in vanilla/yellow and chocolate, but sometimes too many flavors can be an issue, so I wasn't bothered by that. I found the cake portion to be moist and that sweet spot between dense and light. My fiance did not think the chocolate cupcake tasted like anything at all, like he was just eating air. I didn't agree, but it's his wedding too. Staff was friendly and there were plenty of other fun treats to consider for the future as well. Make sure you grab a number, as it can get busy pretty quick!

Yelp
Can't go wrong with any of the kringles. Nice selection of cookies, donuts, and other miscellaneous bakery needs.

Yelp
I guess I never posted a review for this place! I went to visit my cousin in Racine. She introduced me to O&H Danish Bakery and it was the first time I ever had a Kringle, and first time I ever had a Bee sting. Sadly I live 11+ hours from Racine, so I can't eat at this bakery every days. It was soo incredible, we don't have things like this in Oklahoma. I wanted to set up camp inside the store and live there. I didn't have enough stomachs to try everything. The Bee sting was maybe the best desert I have ever had in my life and I was told they are seasonal? They should be on the menu every day but also they shouldn't for people like me who would buy one Every day and gain 200 lbs hahaha! Kringles are INCREDIBLE. I really enjoyed the fruit one we had, but wasn't a fan of the desert one so I think I would stick with the fruit ones! I can't wait to visit again!

Jen S.

Yelp
Amazing kringle!!! So many flavors offered...worth the drive from IL. I'd drive up again :)

Yelp
O&H is widely known for its signature danish Kringle. Why? Because it's frick'n delicious! Their Kringle is sure to be a hit for any family event, friend gathering, or pairing with your Sunday morning coffee sesh. The O&H bakery offers several different flagship flavors to choose from such as Almond, cherry, raspberry, cream cheesecake, or pecan. They even offer a variety of specialty and seasonal flavors such as key lime, red white & blue, s'mores, and turtle. It's interesting to learn that O&H has been around since the late 1940s and, with the bakery operations now passed on to its 4th generation, a bit surprising that the consistency of their products seems so solid. It's also fascinating to learn that their baking techniques and recipes still mirror that of Old Denmark, weaving past tradition and culture with modern production and distribution. A fun fact I learned is that O&H does a Win a Kringle Contest. Just visit their website and enter to win! Another fact I learned is that their bakery is Kosher and endorsed by the Chicago Rabbinical Council. Just look for the CRC symbol, where possible. In addition to their Kringle, O&H offers donuts, cakes, Danish pecan sticky buns, eclairs, breads, sandwiches, and more! They also offering product shipping as well as customized/decorated cakes and specialty orders. All in all, a pretty neat local offering to check out!

Doug F.

Yelp
I have been eating Kringles since 1967, when i was given my first bite in Racine. since then i have joined the kringle of the month for my father in fla. My brother in Ca. get their xmas present and sister in law in Co. Then my nabors in Fla. nearly 60 years of eating kringles and they never get old.

Wendy M.

Yelp
Ordered a kringle as a gift via mail order and UPS lost it. O&H offered to resend or credit. I thought I should get a discount on a future order... disappointing they didn't do more to correct the problem.

Yelp
It's a great bakery in Racine that's hard to ignore!! Whenever I go places and meet new people I try to bring a Kringle with and they absolutely enjoy it!

First off, the Kringles are really delicious. Have ordered over $800 worth since first trying. Sent as gifts and of course some for myself (also buy from TJ's @$10). My issue, though it seems petty, is that I bought a year's subscription for my brother in Florida, a different Kringle each month and paid in full at order time. It's June and reviewing my CC online I see a charge from O&H and when I question it via email it's for a fuel surcharge. Not much ($1.25). More of a real annoyance but really though it was petty, especially after I paid in advance for the full year. Replied to the email from O&H saying thought it was petty, but no reply and charge went though. As I said in email the year subscription was over $300 and simple interest on that money more than covers the $ amount and annoyance this causes. Can you imagine taking a flight and months later the airlines charge you again as their fuel was too costly? That's my rant.

Yelp
They have good donuts. The locations are always clean and friendly. Being from Florida, this is very authentic go to spot every time you are in Wisconsin!

Yelp
This iconic bakery is famous for their Kringle but their donuts, breads and lunch items are fantastic too! The variety and quality are quite impressive. On my visit, I had a Long John with white icing and my sister had a Lemon Custard donut. We loved them both! Our lattes were creamy good and piping hot. We bought 3 Kringles also. My sister bought almond and I bought raspberry and cinnamon to bring back to Chicago. I was surprised at the fun varieties they offered such as Birthday Cake and Father's Day flavor. The gift shop portion is great. They have a ton of cute things for yourself or as a gift for others. The displays are arranged to make it easy to shop. The staff was super nice and helpful. They were all smiles and very pleasant. Great staff always makes the experience better. Inside the store, it was clean and tidy. Hand sanitizer was readily available. We sat outside in a shaded area where they had Jimmy Buffet and Bob Marley playing through outdoor speakers. What a fantastic experience. I can't wait to return on my next visit to Kenosha or Racine.

Yelp
The marketing is fantastic for the company but have you seen the ingredient list?! "Baked fresh daily"."danish bakery " and the authentic nature of this bakery makes it sound like these are made with real ingredients. I will not put this long list of chemicals and unhealthy oils in my body. Consumer beware - these have more junk in them than something sitting on a grocer's shelf. I'm comparing the ingredients list to a box of hostess hohos and this Kringle looks worse. Shame on this "bakery." I'll add at $25 per Kringle they are making a killing on this - buy the hostess treats and get the same amount for 20% of the cost if you are down for this junk.

Yelp
You can go wrong with any Danish Kringle you buy! We've shared our Danish with so many people they even start ordering online. I highly recommend going to their website and look around at all the amazing danish and cakes they sell. Excellent!!

Yelp
An amazing bakery! If you've never had it try cringle. Many different flavors. It's much more expensive now than when I was a kid but it is worth it! The eclairs and Bread are also amazing. Everything there is tasty!!!

Yelp
It was a great experience, got a few Kringles to go for Xmas. Don't think I'll buy at local price, but worth whatever the cost. Simply fabulous Danish pastry.

Yelp
We have been enjoying these danishes for years and the last three years we have been shipping them to friends and family. We usually spend around $500 at a time but they don't care. We received an offer for free shipping on orders over $75 and called them to inquire because we couldn't get it applied to our order. They told us the offer expired yesterday and there was "nothing" they could do for us. They were not the least interested in keeping us as a customer so we decided to go elsewhere.
