"This Streeterville restaurant is another spot that’s well known for its large buffet. But thankfully, the food at Indian Garden travels well. They have a few standout dishes - like tandoori lobster, jalfrezi, and the kashmiri aloo (potatoes with cashews, raisins, and paneer). Do a Zoom at-home buffet wars with your friends." - adrian kane

Nothing was "authentic" about the food. In fact, a disgrace to Indian food. So called "Indian" restaurants running in the US should stop this! Naming your restaurant "authentic" would sure attract customers who can't tell the difference but what about honesty? Nobody cares I guess! Was visiting Chicago and after hearing there's alot of Indian restaurants I thought lets give it a shot! Spent well over worth, to get this, and also food poisoning bonus! Be careful everyone!

The takeout I ordered was delicious! Everything was well seasoned and a pretty substantial portion for the price. I was able to split up the order into two meal. The mutton kolhapuri was very tasty. I also had a sweet lassi and some garlic naan. So good!

we visited chicago for the first time, we found many Pakistani restaurants on Devon Ave, but only a few Indian ones. We chose this restaurant because it was open until midnight. We ordered a vegetarian thali, paneer bhurji, and chapati. The service was good, and the food was delicious. Prices were fair, and the place was family-friendly. The person who took our order, possibly the owner, was very nice and suggested ordering fewer rotis because they were big. We'd happily recommend it. Thanks for a great experience.

This place is located right on Devon street and serves some of the worst Indian foods you can have. The service includes only one person! who seats you, takes orders, serves, clean, and brings the check. Now, lets come to the main factor, the actual food! The food tastes like leftovers and like food which has been cooked by amateur Chefs. The paneer kadhai curry I ordered was (recommended by the server) just a dish of diluted ketchup with Paneer cubes in it, tasted horrific. The second dish I ordered was Dal Makhani (again recommended by the server) and again, tasted like leftover and the Makhani flavor was not there at all. The naan bread, was so hard and dry that we were barely able to eat it. Then we also tried the Chicken Biryani, well, I must say that it was the worst Biryani you can ever have. The rice quality was bad, the flavors were too bad and the smell was even worst! I mean after being in business for so many years how can you mess up such basic Indian dishes? how? This restaurant really needs to look into what they are serving their customers or soon someone will either get sick by their food or they will just run out of business.

I went to this restaurant for the first time to try the food. I ordered garlic naan, lachha paratha and chicken tikka masala. Everything was okay except the lachha paratha, it didn’t had any lachha’s in it. So anyways I got the refund for that. Atmosphere was ok, when I went there it was all empty and someone was shouting in the kitchen which was very intimidating to me. There is only one server in the restaurant and it took a long time for him to complete the payment. Also I found the prices very expensive as per the quality.

Oberois Indian Restaurant definitely gives you a taste of authentic Indian cuisine at an affordable price with a great, semi fine dining atmosphere. The food here is very good but nothing stands out as spectacular just yet.. but we do recommend the tandoori chicken, biryanis, and karahi gosht. Everything here also seems to be cooked fresh and ready to order which is good. They offer many traditional options but also some indo-chinese options as well if you are in the mood for something different. The ambiance and decore is really perfect for a dinner with family, friends of even a date. They also offer a lunch buffet twice a month.

Oberois we found by accident because we were looking for Hema’s Kitchen. Apparently they retired. Regardless, this may be the best indian restaurant overall my wife and I have ever been to (either this or Mild2Spicy). They had the 2nd best tikka masala Ive ever had. Garlic naan was perfectly cooked, soft, and smothered in garlic. Absolutely perfection! The veggie samosas were spiced perfectly. Also, we got the chilli gobi and it was SO good. We saw someone else get it and thought it looked and sounded good so we tried it and were so happy we did. Highly recommend this place!

I love this place and it’s my primary go-to since before they moved into the large space they currently occupy. The food is amazing and never disappoints and it is reasonable priced. As the majority of their business is take-out, service is sometimes slow, but kind and helpful nonetheless. Bathroom is clean, which is also important to me in a restaurant establishment.
